Greetings everyone, I hope everyone is doing well on this wonderful Wednesday! Ran into issues this week, discovered I added extra nutrients to my soil that I didn't need (N,P) and dropped the ph of the soil to below 5.5. I had seen minor deficiencies showing from nutrient lockout perhaps due to low ph so I watered with a good amount of plain de-chlorinated tap water at 7.5 to offset the low ph. It helped a lot! the plats perked back up and were looking much better and grew a bunch at week 4 start but now in the last few days 1 of the 5 is showing the start of some serious stress. Many of her tops have burn't leaf tips which looks very much like nutrient burn. likely excess Phosphorus. This week still working on upwards growth feeding at a higher ph probably 7.0 next watering and hoping for improvement. If not I will have to flush the one plant at least. Any comments or feedback is always appreciated =D 08/19/2020 - Start of week, Journal edit + pics 08/20/2020 - Awoke to visible progression of burnt tips so regretfully flushed the one plant with 7.0 ph water until the water ran clear approx 10 gallons for 6 gallons of soil in 7 gallon bucket. She looks burnt and waterlogged but i think she will recover. 08/21/2020 - Flushed the other 3 plants as well All show signs of damage. =( 08/22/2020 - Plant health continues to deteriorate although new growth looks like it may be healthier. Time will tell... 08/24/2020 - Damage finally stopped progressing. New leaf growth is healthy, Cut off dead material growth stalled a bit but they look like they will be fine. 08/24/2020 - Put pheno #5 out on the balcony to flower might be too late to finish. It is an experiment. She looks beautiful. 08/24/2020 - Installed the SCROG net into the tent. tallest plant is 2" away from the screen.

This was my first grow, and I will not grow again during long time due to difficulties. But I will retry as soon as I can. This grow was very instructive for me, I learned a lot of informations about cannabis growing and now I think I can do better rendement by preventing somes errors. I tried to smoke it after 5 days of dry in the box with extractor (and sometime water glass), and she got a nice back flavour and good effect 😄

Eternity Grow Cup - Week 9 Veg Update We are stepping into Week 9 of vegetation, and things are getting exciting! The plants are thriving—compact, bushy, and growing beautifully. This week, we introduced a SCROG (Screen of Green) net, an essential tool for maximizing yield and optimizing plant structure. Let’s dive deep into the why and how of scrogging: Why Install a SCROG Net Now? Maximizes Light Exposure: The net allows even light distribution across all branches, ensuring every bud site gets the optimal amount of light. Controls Plant Height: By guiding the branches through the net, we keep the canopy even and prevent excessive vertical growth. Enhances Airflow & Reduces Mold Risks: Spreading the plant out increases air circulation, reducing humidity pockets and minimizing risks of mold and pests. Increases Yield: More bud sites exposed to light mean higher-quality flowers and greater overall production. For now, we’re still not using the under-canopy lights, though they will come into play soon. The ICL 300 is positioned strategically, and we will likely move them around as needed later. For now, the focus is on structuring the plants and ensuring they fill out the available space properly. Optimizing Airflow - The Vortex Effect Air circulation is crucial for plant health, and this week, we’ve optimized airflow by positioning the fans to create a vortex effect: Fan Positioning: Each fan is placed at the tent corners, pointing in different directions, ensuring dynamic airflow instead of direct wind hitting the plants. Benefits of a Vortex System: Reduces hot spots and evenly distributes CO₂. Strengthens stems by creating a natural resistance. Prevents stagnant air, reducing mold and pest risks. The extraction system is powered by an AeroFan, connected to the AeroFan Smart Remote FRC1, currently running at 60% speed. This setup efficiently manages humidity and temperature while maintaining optimal air exchange. Current Environmental Conditions & Feeding For now, we’re maintaining the same water schedule and nutrient regimen. The environmental conditions remain stable: Temperature: Holding steady at ideal growth levels. Relative Humidity: Balanced to encourage healthy transpiration. PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density): Kept at optimal levels to support vigorous vegetative growth. CO₂ Levels: Elevated but within safe limits, promoting faster growth. The plants are filling the space beautifully, but we know that the flip to flower is approaching soon! The next phase will depend on how fast they continue to spread, and adjustments will be made accordingly. Closing Thoughts & What’s Next? Week 6 veg for the Guava Runtz. She’s right on the edge of full flower transition now, showing strong branching and a very even canopy across the plant. LST went smoothly, structure is set, and training is mostly finished from here unless the stretch demands minor adjustments.
