The Apple Cup hermied this week along with the Baker's Dozen. Fortunately Tropicanna Poison is flowering so fast that it seems to be unbothered by the hermies next to it. The hermied plants will be stunted as more energy will be focused on developing pollen/seeds. Also I'll have to chop them down early before any seeds begin to solidify within the buds. It's ideal to immediately remove any hermies as soon as pollen sacs are spotted. Unfortunately I only have my small closet space so I decided to leave them and observe the growth of hermies.

D68 (28/01/2021): First official day of week 6 in bloom and first official day (second in reality) of pre harvest flush. The smell is strong when I open the tent! It does not take long for the whole room to smell dank and even outside the room. - temp: 24-25C light ON ; 20-22C light OFF - no water - RH: 49-52% light ON ; 49-50% light OFF D69 (29/01/2021): I did a first proper flush today by running approximately 2.5 gallons of water trough the medium. There is still a lot of nutrients in the medium. I might do the exact same flush tomorrow. The PH of the run off is high (around PH7-7.1). This is an other reason to flush again tomorrow. I also reduced the light ON schedule by two hours. So now 18h hours ON and 6 hours OFF. I will continue reducing the ON period until they are ready for a complete dark period. I also try to reduce the air temperature. - temp: 24-25C light ON ; 19-20C light OFF - water: PH6.4, 135PPM, 2.5 gallons each - run off: PH7 and 680PPM for Glue Gelato ; PH7.1 and 560PPM for Banana Kush - RH: 47% light ON ; 48-53% light OFF D70 (30/01/2021): I did a second flush since I was not satisfied with run off PPM of yesterday. Today, the run off PPM is under 300 which is what I wanted. The run off PH is still high with 7.1. Banana Kush is ripening with the pistils slowly turning brown. Glue Gelato look sooooo yummy and I can't wait to harvest it. Glue Gelato is now having a couple of amber trichomes. Banana Kush don't have any. Overall Banana Kush has less trichomes and fluffier buds. This girls is not ready yet but I will need to chop her down at the same time has the Glue Gelato because my drying space is the tent I'm growing in. I will try to push the Banana Kush to ripen faster by lifting up the lamp at 16 inches from top bud and by reducing of 2 hours the day period for a 16 hours light ON and 8 hours light OFF. But at least all Banana Kush trichomes looks milky. - temp: 23-24C light ON ; 18-19C light OFF - water: PH6.2, 123PPM, less then a gallon each - run off: PH7.4 and 200PPM for Glue Gelato ; PH7.4 and 287PPM for Banana Kush - RH: 45% light ON ; 40-45% light OFF D73 (02/02/2021): I gave water probably for the last time today. Trichomes on Glue Gelato are starting to amber on top buds. Not a lot of amber but you can see that all the trichomes are starting to degrade by curling down slowly. Trichomes on Banana Kush are not amber at all but they all look milky. Glue Gelato is ready to harvest but Banana Kush need more time. It's tough to make a decision to chop or not since they are not at the same stage of growth. I want to place them in a complete 48 hours of darkness before harvest. 1h less light today for a 15h light ON and 9h light OFF. The lamps are now at 20 inches. - temp: 23-24C light ON ; 18-19C light OFF - water: less then a gallon each - RH: 45% light ON ; 40-45% light OFF D74 (03/02/2021): Glue Gelato is ready for 48h of darkness. I will take her out of the tent and place her in an other room without light. I will try to maintain a proper environment in this room and if it smells to strong or if the condition are not good I will replace her in the tent and both will start the 48h darkness. The idea is to give Banana Kush 2 more days to ripe and swoll more. After 48h, I will chop Glue Gelato and place her in the tent to start drying. Banana Kush will then start her 48h darkness. I don't know if this strategy is good but I will monitor everything closely and react if something is wrong. - temp: 22-23C light ON ; 19C light OFF - no water - RH: 47% light ON ; 43-45% light OFF

The Mandarine Cream is entering its third week of flowering, and the aroma is becoming increasingly potent. The plant is looking beautiful and vigorous, with the buds showing significant daily growth. The smell is evolving into a strong, citrusy scent, reminiscent of grapefruit. Environment: This week began with a cold front, bringing temperatures down to a minimum of 5°C and a maximum of 15°C. A light rain has helped increase the humidity, which could boost resin production, although the cooler temperatures may also slow down the flowering process, just as they did during the vegetative stage. Fertilizing: I've stopped fertilizing as the plant now has everything it needs from the substrate. Watering: Sparse, around once a week, to maintain the right moisture levels without over-saturating. Pest Control: Beauveria applications have been reduced to once weekly, and the garden remains completely free of pests, which is a pleasant surprise. Training: The main cola top remains tied down. I haven't done any further defoliation or additional training. The focus is now on letting the plant continue its natural growth as it transitions deeper into flowering.

Things are coming along nicely, did a major defoliation yesterday and didn't seem to bother the ladies at all. I took 2 clones off a few weeks ago just for giggles and they seem to be doing ok I was a little concerned about throwing in under such intense light right away but it didn't seem to affect them all. All in all I'm quite pleased with the way this is turning out since I haven't grown since ~2010-2011 hoping for the best since they are getting a little frosty this early.

Day 138 / Week 9 of Flowering: Today i harvested plant #2, she was also several days ahead of plants #1 and #4. She's been flushed and has been kept in pretty dry conditions. The buds on this plant look mouthwatering 🤤, the smell is intense! The remaining 2 plants received 2l of water each, just to hold on for a few more days..

Flower Week 3 Plants are doing great, are ready for Food, I installed a drip system, with air stones in the reservoir. Got some microscope images of the Bud sites, smell is beginning to get stronger. Very Cheesy Mid Week Update: Drip system is working well, the plants seem to have burst with growth over the last 3 days. Before when watering with the smart fabric pots, I was getting a lot of run off from the bags. The drip system makes a big difference as I had no water in the trays underneath after running a complete cycle on the drip system, which took 24 hours. Bud growth is awesome, the entire canopy is fairly even with few shaded bud sites. I wont be tucking much at this point I believe the stretch is over.

All going according to the plan, some plants gained a lot of weight during this week, other just packed some resin. Gave their last feed today, with 42 days of flower. Water with seaweed extract, molasses and micorrize. Gonna harvest the smallest plant with 50 days cause i'm running out of smokable weed ;/ Mother number 1 is looking great, smells like strawberry with a really fresh, almost cold, smell. hoping this profile reflects on the joint. Mother number 2 is the smallest of the mothers but smells the best, citrus with sweet, the closest to terp profile im looking for. Mother number 3 is fat and smells like strawberry with something more cheesy on the background. GDP is amazing! its packing a lot of resin, smelling great and producing heavy buds, think its gonna be the biggest yielder of the bunch. Next week im gonna take some small branches to taste whats coming and decide who is gonna go to revegging after the harvest to become a mother.

All good :) very frosty and smells so good. She‘s so happy. At day 35 end of week 4 approaching week 5, i flush her to remove salt buildups since i didn’t had runoff the entire grow ever. She has crazy 2.6EC run off the ph is on the spot though. So lets see how will she react after heavy flush with runoff 1.6EC by week 5. i am now lowering my nuts half of the manufacturers recommendation.

Chance of a Lifetime Greenhouse Seeds Wonder Pie 22nd May 2020 Week 3 Hi Everyone welcome back to my GHS competition grow 😀 It's now been 3 weeks since they germinated and they are looking ok to me. They all have slightly different characteristics about them such as leaf shape etc but are all roughly the same height. On Wednesday (two days ago) I gave them all the second half of their Bio grow powdered feed , which will now take them thru until Flowering begins. I also applied some diatomaceous earth to the soil surrounding each plant. This has two uses one being as a source of silica and the second being a bug/pest deterrent. Ive added a short little video clip of me mixing in the 2nd dose of bio feed. After I applied it I simply watered it in with aprox 500mls of Water per plant. El cambio de fotoperiodo para el inicio de floración fue el día 18 de la semana anterior. Desde ese momento de han hecho riegos con vegetativo y floración. Generalmente en 3°o 4° semana de floración elimino el vegetativo. También se a regado estimulante de floración delta 9 de manera foliar aprox cada 10 días. Recordar que doy 1 riego de fertilizante cada dos de agua sin fertilizantes por semana, donde en los riegos sin fertilizantes añado microorganismos, enzimas y calmag.

Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. @FAST_BUDS, Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable environment in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 8 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I will grow completely organically in soil and will watercure my buds to get the best possible medicine for me. But there are no cultivation rooms to be displayed here, so I continue with what is most important. Today I have put my seeds in my moisture dome and hope the seeds have germinated within a few days. Week 3 of flower So we had a power outtage due to a storm that came through. Lost power from 10a-6p which is most of my day cycle. So there is that. The plants looks really well. Noticed a bit of spotting so I added some cal/mag with my last watering. Buds are hella frosty you can definitely see the Banana Butter cups coming through.
