High GD community Week 16, Zuchinis all around, tomatoes getting ready on a daily. Cucumbers are getting almost mature proportions. Everything going well. Terra preta Location: center perma garden Surface: 125cm x 105cm Depth: 115cm The hole was dug out over 3 days, it were very sunny days. 😅 Theres mostly loamsand with a small sandloam bottom that was very hard. The sand was also very compressed and hard. The top layer is this grey dusty soil of about 40cm deep. At the bottom theres pure sand thats soft, easy drainable. First step is to fill up the entire bottom with fine chopped wood, progressively using bigger pieces of wood. I try to use some hardwood like oak to for its extra K (potassium = pot ash). A bit of charcoal to. This will take the entire first day, bcs it needs to have a minimal ticknes of pure ashes of around 5cm. Otherwise, after compressing it with the upcoming layers, the ash-line would almost disappear. Not all the wood needs to be burned entirely. Its a first layer with lots of N and K. Bones can be used to in the fire making the NPK complete. But it can be added also as a separated layer. I dont have that much bone material because my 2 dogs, or eating, or burry them somewere. Little warning at the end, be aware of your local laws applied to open fires. 😅😉 After a good burn ive got between 8 and 12cm of ashes in total over the entire surface. A small layer of soil (5cm) is put on top of that. Theres no need to harden out that layer, pressure will to the work and the layers will compress over time into ideal circumstances. On to the next layer!! Next is a layer of the compost, but the part that isnt allready decomposed. Its green/brown/yellow of color. And a bit of everything, grass, weeds, leafs and some thin branches. Another layer soil to cover that up. Now i formed a thin layer of chopped(10mm) wood(beech), just enough to make a thin,almost 1 piece high, layer. On to this i added a complete wheelbarrel of compost(black) with small pieces of still not completly decomposed materials. Lots of worms here. On that, you guessed it, an other layer of soil. I try to have both types of soil in that mix, the almost pure sand and the more grey type. Next, back to the beech. This time the rest of the bag follows. Theres a good layer of around 3cm deep. On this ive layed down some new small woodsticks to make a small fire again. Starting at the center and adding some last branches i found. It turned out really smoky!! Half way the burn ive opend the core of the fire, trying to spread the small pieces of char over the complete surface. After that, i added for the first time some water here. And an other layer of soil again, this is just covering up each time. Max 5cm!! Now we are at the upper half of the pit. Still 50cm to go. Now ive added some compost again, the green/brown/yellow one, with on top of that, a 15 liter bucket with compressed bokashi fermentated kitchen leftovers. Making a layer out of that and some fresh bokashi juice with 10 liters of water to drain those benificial bacteria into to compost layer just underneath it. This layer is almost 20cm tick. Again, yeah, soil, 5cm. Ive bought some blond peat to at to to toplayers. Last 25 to 30cm of soil, is a mix of the peat(20%) and the two other types of soil. First ill do tiny layers of each, last 10cm i try to mix it. And to finish the job, ive took some 100% reused and composed soil with some perlite in it from past use. I havent watered a lot, but the meteo predicts a good amount of water in the upcoming days. The soil that stayed and didnt get back to its original place, ive used to make a new top layer on the rest of the mini field. I havent used clay because it was hard to find or just to expensive. Beside the peat(250l), i didnt buy anything. So its labor intensive, but real cheap. Week 6 - Veg - her nutes have been upped to 2ml of grow, micro and bloom and feeding every 3rd day now.

Lots and lots of rain! Heavy clouds and no sunshine this week has been terrible. I found a few spots of mould on the girls so chopped a few buds away . Kept the good stuff to dry and bad stuff is going to be used to making hash! (I always keep trimmings in the freezer). Worried about watering them also as this will only encourage the mould 😕 next week will probably be the final week as I’m going to cut losses and chop em down. Lesson learned. Get a proper green house!!

Got flowers. Adjusted the lights down to 18". Going to play it by ear, as the two in the corners aren't as happy as the others and I'm wondering if they can't handle the light currently. If good, will begin increasing the lamp from 75% of 300w to 100% gradually. Not impressed with FFOF+Nature's Living Soil supersoil amendment. Very impressed with BuildABloom.

Still going lol. Still not too many amber, but I cut down one of the smaller side growths to dry and test. Keeping up with just water, probably could have added nutes for quite a bit longer, but oh well next time haha. Couple buds moved onto a light bulb and burned pretty badly. Be careful out there!

Topped this little herercane on day 11 and she is starting to grow some little branches. I upped the maxigro to .5 tsp per gallon. Other than that just playing the waiting game....

Yo what's up growmies. smooth sailing, no more leaks have sprung, the buckets have been recirculating nicely, it seems as if my mad idea to turn my DWC into an undercurrent RDWC mid flower wasn't so mad after all! the plant bucket is as good as off limits now, its a whole lot of noodle, the roots in it have swallowed my InkBird Probe, which has been kept at a cool 19 degrees steadily. I'm happy i have an easy access bucket now, though, i noticed that if i do not aerate the reservoir, black smuts starts collecting on the bottom, so I put in some better air stones and we are good now. As for the plant; after starting green sensation these things have become incredibly sticky and smelly, I still cannot place the smell! i like it a lot once i'm acclimated to it, but when first opening the tent it attacks your sniffer quite violently, this is not a stealthy strain, she is resinous and loud. I think I am happy with my training and how she turned out with a few exceptions, next time, I'm growing following a guide, like Nebula Haze, whilst taking clones. I know this is week 6 of flower, but honestly its more like week 3 or 4 of actual flower, hence why i waited so long to add PK to the mix, this girl took a while to hit puberty and start flower production after flipping to 12-12, Im not sure if its the strain, a fuck up on my part, or just nature being nature, she did seem to stretch after flipping and before starting flowers, so I'm going to guess it's one of those Sativa quirks where it all just seems to take...a.....little.......longer. which is I will also set up a veg tent, sick of waiting for flowers! gotta keep that perpetual grow going, you know how it be. 7/6 Plants looked great thos morning. I WATERED A GALLON to the 50 and split one between the two tens. Top of the bags are still moist amd they still have some heft. I'm hoping this will at least carry me 48hrs. These are BIG plants and the wind goes right through those bags and dries them out. I'd rather have that though than worry about overwatering. I noticed some minor deficiencies on a couple plants so it's time to start the nutes. Calcium I'd guess. Just a beginning stage but it's time. Next feeding they'll get some food too. I'll still monitor during the day to make sure they ront dry out. It's amazing how fast they come back after they dry out but it stresses them. EDIT: I WENT OVER AROUND 2OM AND IT WAS OVERCAST AND 83°. ALL THE PLANTS LOOKED GREAT AND ALL OF THEM WERE STILL SLIGHTLY NOIST EXCEPT THE 10TH PLANET. THEY ALL HAD SOME HEFT TO THEM TOO. THE SUN IS OUT BRIGHTER NOW BUT IT MAY RAIN TONIGHT AND CONSIDERING HOW GOOD THE PLANTS LOOKED I THINK IVE FOUND MY CORRECT WATERING RATIO. IM NOT GOIMG TO 9VET WATER IN THESE GROW BAGS WITH ALL THIS WIND. I NOTICED SOME FOUR LINED PLANT BUG MARKS ON ONE OF THE LITTLE PLANTS AND REMOVED A FEW LEAVES FROM THAT THIRSTY 10TH PLANET THAT COULD BE SEPTORIA. IM GOING TO TREAT IT BUT I HAVENT DECIDED WITH WHAT YET. I MEAN I NEED TO MAKE SURE ITS NOT JUST PESTS OR WATER SPLASHES FIRST TOO. I'VE BEEN PRETTY SANITARY THIS YEAR. IF I HAD A PLANT THAT DIDNT RESPOND TO TREATMENT AND IT WAS INDEED LEAF SEPTORIA I THINK ID RATHER SACRIFICE THE PLANT THAN RISK SPREADING IT. IM PROBABLY JUMPING THE GUN BUT I NEED TO BE READY IN CASE THAT'S THE CASE. IF NOT FOR LOCAL LAWS I WOULD THE PLANT ISOLATED. BUT IM TALKING I PULLED MAYBE FOUR LEAVES OUT OF THE LEAFIEST BUNCH AND INSPECTED EVERYTHING. 7/7 We got thunder storms last in the afternoon and last night. For at least 45 mins it rained harder than I've EVER seen it. Pure sheet rain. It turned over to heavy rain before moving out. The plan was to water everything this morning and start feeding. As I said in the video the soul was still moist amd the bags still had some heft. Not like I just watered them though. I stopped by a local dispo on my way home and talked with the best grower I personally know (thanks Junior) and his advice was the same as what I was planning. I planned on going around noon to check them. He said I could probably wait until like six and then when I do water give them like a 1 1/2 gallons to make up for that monsoon we had earlier. I showed him the video and explained how I have been watering. My intuition feels good about this. I may go check on them earlier but I don't think it's necessary. As usual I'll update as I go. EDIT: AS SUGGESTED (WELL I SPLIT THE DIFFERENCE) I WENT OVER TO FIND ALL NY PLANTS LOOKING GORGEOUS EXCEPT THE 10TH PLANET REVEG THAT WAS A "LITTLE" SAGGY. I LIFTED THEM AND FELT THE SOIL IN THE BAGS. I DECIDED ON WATERING AS PLANNED EVEN THOUGH IT MIGHT HAVE MADE IT UNTIL NORNING. THIS WAS MY WATERING DAY ANYWAY. HOWEVER I ONLY WATERED 1 GAL PER 20 1.5 FOR 30 AND .5 FOR 10. I THINK THAT WILL WORK OUT GREAT WITH THE UPCOMING COOLER TEMPS. IT WAS SO HOT. DIDNT HAVE TIME BUT SHIT IS LOOKING GOOD. 7/8 Finally that hot streak has broken. It's in the 70s and it rained a little last night. Had to use an iPhone and send it to me because my phone was dead. My plan worked out great and everything is looking fantastic. We may get some rain tonight but I'll be watching the forecast. I DO need to feed and may do that. I might wait until next week. I also need to figure out what to do about that four lined plant bug. The birds that perch on my cage do a good job getting pests. Knock on wood I haven't seen many. I killed one pillar and there's just that four lined plant bug. That's really the only damage. I'd Hate to spray my girls with a bunch of shit over ONE bug. We shall see and I'll keep this updated. 7/9 Phone was dead this morning. Went back over later and defoliated a little bit. On reveg ive found a few spots that look like it could be septoria. Could be splash up or a million other things too. The birds have been taking care of pillars. I've found two this season which were promptly killed. Everything looked good. We are in much cooler weather now. Still high 70s with at least 90%rh. Could have showers but I need to keep up with my watering. I kept with the increase and watered everything with 2 gallons. With the exception of the 50 and the two 10's the 50 I skipped and each 10 got 1 gallon. Now it's time for a shout out. I get my seeds from North atlantic seed company. They have a sister company @dirtybirdgenetics which produces amazing strains that flourish in Maine. N.A.S.C has always used me good but this will be my first dirty bird grow next year. None of this was necessary but it's greatly appreciated. The hand written note put a huge smile on my face. 7/10 Rained last night. Phone won't charge so I used an iPhone and uploaded some pictures and a video. Plants are looking good but I've noticed "a" leaf with pillar markings. It's time to start feeding. I'm not sure if I'll start tonight or next watering. I'm not really sure. Any deficiencies are minor. I need to check my supply and see what I'm going to use. I'm suprised I haven't seen any wpm (knock on wood) with rh so high and "rolling mists". Happy 7/10 to those that indulge in oil. 7/11 Hurried morning. Watered this morning. I watered the ones that drink more with two gallons and a couple that were heavier got 1.5 gallons and the 10's got about a gallon apiece. I also fed for the first time this year. Plants are still in that transition stage and are starting to stretch. I still have nutes left on hand. I used I tsp grow big, .5 tsp cal mag and 2 tsp big bloom (per gallon) just to see how they react. I mixed two gallons and gave everything a little less than a powerade bottle I think is 1.75 pints. I can tell that some of the leaves aren't as lush green as they were. It's time to start feeding. Probably past time. Next year I'll probably go organic all the way bit this year I'm just going to be doing the same thing I have in years past. If it's not broke don't fix it. I have liquid kool bloom and some other nutes for later on in flowering. I'll be looking at nutes today but I'll probably stick with what I've been using. I also am considering plant doctor for the 10th planet that LOOKS like it may have a small case of septoria and I'm not even sure. It looks like splash back to me but we'll see. No wpm so far though. The birds are really doing great with pest control. I'll still be using BT a little bit later on. 7/12 Plants looked great this morning. I decided that if I treat its going to be with plant doctor. Most plants have hairs so I'm reluctant to use copper. I'm reluctant in general. But the plant that seems to expose a leave or two is a reveg and will be the first one thatci treat. I also went to get nutes and found my grow store turned into a "feed" store. I bought some fresh big bloom as that's all that was available. Then after purchase the cashier explained they still HAD the NUMERIOUS shelves of nutes (pretty much everything) but it took up to much room and was "spilling" the legit are wasting store space on packaged seeds opposed to the high end nutes they are known for. Whatever. I'm doing what my buddy said and to do what I do every year. If its not broke don't fix it. I'm think9ng of treating with plant doctor tomm. Or next watering.

Hey growmies, another week and here we are. The flower structure as you can see in the pictures is crazy in this strain. Long colas l, filles with flowers. If this led fixture I'm using for the first time performs, im about to have baseball bats of weed. I'm hopping it knows there name is not only banana, but FAT too. The smells are sweet and fruity. The ec are at 0.95. 0.25 of the water plus 0.7. See you guys next week

Nach einer zusätzlichen Blütewoche war es endlich soweit und Dutchberry hat seine volle Pracht entwickelt. Dem Ende hingegen zeigte Sie eine wunderschöne Herbstfarben und betörte mit ihrem tief berigen Aroma. Viele dicke kompakte Buds, was die Ernte zwar langwierig aber jedoch einfach gestaltete.

5/1 I took off the carbon filter yesterday and noticed the suction that I had been losing was completly restored. I then washed the filter sock that fits over the filter, and blew off any buildup of humidifier and carbon dust. I've yet to reinstall the filter, as the smell isn't too bad. Trainwreck is starting to fade and absorb the leaves. I'm removing them as I go. Will probably water them both tomorrow. Wondering if I should start flushing Amnesia as well.

Righttt Start of week 4 Amazing if u find the sweet spot for the distance how much they grow in just 3 days. I've been giving some micro nutrients, and feeding I had small light stress on 2 plants moved the lamp to 50 cm They just started to flower smell is getting strong actually 😅 I think i'm kinda pushing it with 7 plants under a 100 w lamp. But i'm trying to get most out of it. 1 obviously is doing not to great... it's 1/2 orion. His neighbour o top is the 2nd orion
