Afghan was a beaut and she would have stayed up longer if the rain had let up. The denseness of her buds is what we admire although it is also why she started to rot. The scent of her is strong and mouth watering. Overall we would grow her again outdoors, this was a strange year with the weather and it is unfortunate but we are quite sure every strain would rot just the same. Hopefully next year has a better balance but that is the way it grows outdoors. As for curing, it was not typical for us at all. First she was washed but Afghan was not trimmed nor was she properly managed, she hung for six days and went in a paper bag for moisture redistribution way to late. Aside from that we had to use a triple beam for an estimated weight and we were unable to get a wet weight so please take the number and outcome lightly. Bone dry does not mean she won’t be enjoyed, she will be made into hash and or edibles.

This grow went well overall. No herming. No nutrient deficiencys. Can't complain there. However the bud structure wasn't there. And the smell isn't of strawberry sugar or at least during the grow. It's mostly gas with a little sweetness. No real strawberry so far.

Day 42-49 (Day 42) Just watered today but couldn’t go until runoff because I didn’t have enough RO. I forgot to add the probiotic too. Nonetheless, everything is starting to recover from those weird deficiencies and is looking super healthy. Plants are really bushing out now too. I had to top the zkittlez and BBB#3 again as they are just getting too big. Nothing is definitively showing sex yet but I’m seeing clues. Shouldn’t be long now. If I get 4 females or less I will use 10gal pots, 5-7 fem 5gal pots and 8-12 3gal pots. I need to stop overwatering. Even though it doesn’t look too overwatered, it is much better to water a little bit each day at lights on. This will help keep the humidity down as well as deliver optimal oxygen to the roots speeding up plant growth considerably. (Day 45) Gave an EM1 spray down today. The beneficial bacteria is said to overpopulate surfaces so powdery mildew and septoria can’t form. Something seems to be really working as I haven’t seen any yet. (Day 47) I sealed up the tent and am running both dehumidifiers and it’s keeping the RH around a safe 70% night and day which is right on track with VPD. Plants are all looking super healthy. Deficiencies have pretty much all cleared up. Cold nights I’m running 600w and warmer nights I’ll run 400w. I was asking around Instagram about white ash/good burn and a few different people assured me it has to do with mineral content of the soil. I was told the three best products for clean ash is glacial rock dust/basalt, oyster shell flour and langbeinite. I already have langbeinite so I’ll grab the other amendments today and top dress. I grabbed the amendments and also got some Destiny Organics dark matter super soil, coco and some beneficial nematodes. Top dressed each amendment except langbeinite and mulched in some coco coir. (Day 48) My shelf came in today and I think it may be to big for the 4x4 tent. Each square is 12”, not the 11.8” advertised. I could wipe down my flower room and set it up in there which would give my plants a good adjustment to the new lights before I flip. Or I could set it up in the veg tent but that seems like a huge hassle as the need to be moved and flipped soon anyway. I wish they would show sex already so I can toss out the plants I’m not keeping. For flower I am considering starting over fresh with the new Destiny soil and coco mixed with some amendments. I’m concerned that my current mix might be too hot. I could also dilute it with the Destiny/coco mix. Those little bulb mites that came in with the worm castings are a little concerning as well. Some say they are just beneficial composters aka “worm bin mites” and others are telling me they’re predatory bulb mites which destroy crops like garlic. I’m leaning towards beneficial composters but in another grow I watched them devour a seedling before it sprouted. Gotta check the current roots but the plants aren’t quite ready to be transplanted. (Day 49) Got everything in the flower tent wiped down and sprayed with alcohol then EM1 few hours later. Got the shelf set up and got all my temp controls set up and running. I put the controllers outside the tent this time and will patch any light leaks. Gave a lite compost tea at 830ppm and a velokelp foliar spray at 6ml/L. This will be the last veg feeding before I transplant into their final containers on the 31st. BCTG#2 is a confirmed male and I pulled him. No one else is showing definitively. Roots looked super healthy with very few mites but I’m not 100% convinced they’re all clean. I saw a few mites on leaves today too. Saw a bit of droop after the move but they all look happy just a few hours later. Took a few clones from some sucker branches on a few of the blackberries.

The plant is growing really well and the new tops are coming through strong. I hope to start training with clips this week and will move it up to a 5 gallon pot in the next week or two

We are 3 days into flush. I flush with plain water. It is day 47 and yes I’m flushing early. Only a few amber trichomes to be seen but that’s gonna change rapidly. Last time under this same set up I went to day 60 and found a few pods. So 60 is a day or 3 over. Was gonna go with 50 and see what it looks like. If they need a few more days they will get it.

Buds just getting bigger, oscillating fan packed up so turned up the extraction fan. Watering now with no nutrients and she is still drinking a lot. Must be patient!!!

And in to flower mode this girl goes, and i think she will be the more stable from all of the 4 testers going, she is vigorous half size plant, en comparing to the rest, and an excellent hybrid, these by the looks could very well be released some point this next year or so, she is performing like a queen !!! The plants were fed 3 days ago for the last time.. after the soil has dried, only flawless finish will go (probably from tomorrow) for the next 10-12 days, how long will it last... Glookies has a strong, exotic smell, it smells a lot like melon, sometimes a little like coffee... the smell is intense and can be felt even at 40-50 meters, especially at night... it is currently in full potency, some 90% trichomes are cloudy-milky and sometimes amber, when it is removed it will be exactly what an indica dominant hybrid should be... Dos Si Dos 33# also smells a bit like melon, but I think it will completely lose that smell by the end, no lime, citrus and mint as it says, it smells mostly like gelato, which makes sense because it's genetics,but I like it...it's like I planted gelato lol...but unfortunately I won't leave it as long as it requires because the weather won't allow it, I'll take it down in 12 days at the latest because after that the temperatures will go up to 3 degrees Celsius at night, the humidity will go over 70 , it's going to rain, there's no point in keeping it longer than that, I'm just increasing the risk of mold, and it's not like I haven't already thrown away a couple of moldy heads...50% of the trichomes are cloudy-milky, the rest are transparent and some amber... I hope that by the end it will be able to achieve at least full potency because time will not allow for more amber These plants are real viking warriors, they didn't miss a bit of stress, but thank the dear Gods, it was reflected in the potency, and not in the production of seeds... this season is the worst season I've ever experienced, and so are my plants ...throughout the season they were under stress, and I was under even more stress...the weather in May and June was cold, without enough sun, temperatures were low, constant rain, ice and storms...after that came abnormal temperatures that easily exceeded 60 degrees Celsius in the direct sun....drought for almost 3 months, without a drop of rain, on the hottest days some plants drank 100+ liters of water, including food, I couldn't believe it with my own eyes... outdoor this year cost me more than if I did indoor... there were a lot of storms throughout the season... the last storm completely uprooted 3 of my plants and I had to take them down... of course I didn't manage to cut that much grass in time, so I ended up with over 600 g of dry moldy gorilla zkittlez( that's about it, the quarter that I cut gave 150 grams of dry matter, so I realized that there was no reason to continue cutting) it got worse because I didn't have time to cut it, and it was soaked from the rain... I still can't complain even if I I don't like the smell, I'm not a fan, it's potent and the work is relaxing and divine, I managed to save about 20 grams without it being touched at all... I have more strains that have been in jars for some time, but this is not the place for them now, I will certainly include some footage of them in jars as well...all the strains are superb and each is beautiful in its own way...I couldn't stop I decide on just one... dos si dos 33, runtz x layer cake, glookies and mimosa x orange punch I'm definitely planting again in the future.. I'm also interested in what barney's amnesia lemon is like because I really like this one, so next year I'll probably plant it too Dos si dos is about 120 cm tall, glookies 2 m These two plants had additional stress unlike the others which also didn't suffer...they were in smart pots, staked and one morning I go for a tour and see the plant broken, and the pot torn all the way, like a beast that was there.. .did some wild animal fly over there and got tangled up and uprooted it all... and it was as if someone had cut it with a knife, after a few days the same with the other plant, the same completely... then I seriously started to i mean someone is casting a spell on me lol then they were transplanted in early bloom into direct soil Then glookies was transplanted to a place with much less sun than it was in, but at that moment I couldn't choose, what is there is..

11/2: They're off to a good start! 11/3: Some of the other seedlings almost immediately started showing signs of N deficiency, but these two are fine. I fed them a little bit today, and am foliar feeding them every few hours with Microlife Super Seaweed. 11/4: They are the most vigorously growing seedlings in the garden.👍 11/7: Growing very well now!

Day one of week 7! Saturday 3rd Oct. Yay I made it to week 7!! First week of flower! Flipped the lights and the girls are getting their first 12 hours of darkness as I type. As soon as it’s lights go on I’m gonna get the next lot of nutes in as they seemed almost ready for a feed when I put them to bed. Getting a little nervous the temps are a still bit high as we go into flower but these girls seem hardy so staying positive! UPDATE: Day 2 of week 7, Sunday 4th Oct. Girls still looking strong and nutes gone in again today. Got a fan blowing onto the outside of my tent (which is helping lots) as the slightly lower humidity levels are really heating things up with the dehumidifier working harder inside the tent now, especially around watering time. Fan at full whack, if this doesn’t work I may have to get an intake fan but was trying to avoid extra costs. Keeping a close eye 👁️ UPDATE: Tuesday 6th October Day 4 of week 7 Nutes in again and a little more teasing with the LST to keep the girls low on the stretch. Think I found a little white hair 🤩🤩 (see pics).... It’s getting exciting.. 🤓 UPDATE: Thursday 8th October Day 6 of week 7 Ok great news today..
