~ FASTBUDS TESTER #2206 ~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This tester strain is one of six tester strains that FastBuds has graciously provided me with and I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! One drawback of 'testers' is I have little to no information on it other than its number and that it's an autoflower... 🤪 But, it's ALWAYS a blast growing them for me because not knowing a lot allows me to just concentrate on the essentials: Light, Environment, Water, Nutrients and possibly a bit of LST... not complicated, just basics like keeping a constant temperature and RH in the tent at a level that gives a good VPD, watering when almost dry and maintaining proper light levels according to their stage of growth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seeds were lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which they were transferred to moist paper towels laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Vivosun Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where they stayed until their tap roots emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellets that were hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerge from the Jiffy Pellet they're transferred to their fabric pots. ~Grown 100% organic in a 4g Gronest fabric pot and a 3g fabric pot by Wraxly filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and initially amended with Dr. Earth 4-4-4 / Earthworm Castings / Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 and Coast of Maine Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food 5-2-4. ~19/5 light cycle for the entire run with supplemental UVA added during flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings. ~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 12/29- Here we go into Week One of Flower! It's been a month since these pretty ladies popped out of the ground and they're both looking perfect and have pistils popping out everywhere! Their fabric pots were still heavy when lifted, and they looked happy, so I skipped watering today and will check them tomorrow morning after the lights come on. Since being topped roughly a week ago, they have two new shoots that are emerging and looking extremely healthy with excellent vigor and have a beautiful healthy green color! The #1 is now at 9" tall and the #2 a bit shorter at 7". 12/31- Today was a 'dry day and all I did was refill the humidifier and some canopy maintenance, tucking shade leaves and gently bending branches. It's been a little over four weeks since they were planted in their amended medium and it's time to give their microbes a good feed so they can continue to provide them with all the macro and micro nutrients they need so, yesterday they got a good watering with 0.5g of de-chlorinated water with GreenGro's Veg, Flower, Green Aminos, Natures Brix and Granular Myco added to it @ 1.5 tsp/g and then ph'd to 6.4 @ 73℉. 01/02- Today I watered them from the bottom with 0.5g of de-chlorinated water to which I added 3ml/g of Earth Juice OilyCann cal-mag to prevent any Cal-Mag issues they may encounter before they arrive. I also have the HLG 650R set 36" above canopy and it's set at 60% power which is being controlled by a Trolmaster HydroX controller. The tent environment is on point with temp's running 70 when the light's off and 74℉ with the light on. I'm keeping the RH at 55-60% right now but will drop it as flowering progresses. Finally, I've been keeping the VPD in the tent running 0.85 - 1.05 which I'm happy with! 01/04- They have both been doing really well getting watered every other day and yesterday they received 0.5g each of de-chlorinated water with 3ml/g of Fish Head Farms Fish Sh!t Soil Conditioner which was then ph'd to 6.3 @ 72℉. They're both doing fantastic but were really beginning to get choked up with growth so I went in and selectively removed a few shade leaves from both to get some light penetration down into their canopies to give that lower growth some much needed light. While I was doing that I also did a little more LST on both to also increase light penetration. Another week down absolutely no problems stress free week, alrighty then, bye bye now..... okay fine who am I kidding there's no such thing as an easy week in this journal so let's just get into it. Started of the week well enough buds sites forming Dennis is a little behind but thats just Dennis. The problem child of the group was given a flush with nutrients at the start of the week. The black spotting and leaf necrosis has slowed significantly. Looks like just one or two leaves affected. Maybe the microbes and removal or calmag are starting to balance things out. Im still not 100% on what the cause is... if its ph, lockout, calmag, phosphorus def, problems with my water or something else. Maybe Dennis just likes to watch me stress out and run 3000 google searches on what it could be.. honestly thats probably it. Mid week I got caught sleeping on the job and the tent wilted from underwatering, I caught this about 10 minutes before lights out when I returned from work. I've never mixed a batch of feed so quickly, it was like what I'd imagine being a chef for Gordon Ramsey feels like. I usually ph to 5.9-6.1 but I've been watching some bill ward vids on youtube who suggests 5.7 so we gave it a try. No time to make the ol' calmag free batch for Dennis, just eat your calmag and go the f to sleep. Now this morning 10 minutes before I typed this I've found black necrosis spots on over a dozen leaves. Even some on on another plants. One plant had some nitrogen def showing in the lower leaves even with the feed being yesterday which is baffling. Its gotta be the ph. The promix hp could have drifted to a nono spot in ph im not sure. Open to advice and suggestions...anything.. I need to right the ship and fast. The only other thing it could be is the lack of a male presence has left then tent and the females are depressed. I've added an important male figure back into the tent in hopes of raising overall morale. Hope it works

This was a brilliant week for plant growth, with some side branches over doubling their height. I added the ScrOG net at the beginning of the week and began some more intensive training. The broken mainled blue has fully recovered from last week's damage, and is quickly catching up the my other mainled experiment. The LST only plants I pretty much just continued to bend. The topped & LST'd plants I removed some of the lower bud sites that were not getting any light. I also removed a few awkward fan leaves that could not be tucked away. The addition of the net has helped with this though, as keeping the canopy even is much easier with the support it gives. I also decided not to try any further cuts on the (half) mainlined auto's. My reasoning is that they have developed strong, independent colas already, so cutting for more would not see much gain. The plants had also begun to flower on the night I went to perform the second cut, and my growing experience tells me not to mess with flowering plants too much so here we are. I gave the plants one regular watering of 10L pH'd water, and a 20L nutrient mix using the ratios stated above. All volumes were split equally between the plants. The scrawny looking blue critical has perked up a heck of a lot, but is still the weakest of the 3. The strongest plants by far are the ones that have been topped and LST'd, closely followed by the mainlined ones. LST only is definitely great, but it is clearly lagging behind the other two techniques.

Week 12 all of the girls are doing beautiful. They have officially started their transition into this in all reality is their first true transitional week and good stretch after shooting white hairs so looking forward to an explosive week and a half of growth and some delicious puffy first stage of nugget building happening very soon. Very happy with the overall growth of veg this season excited and anxious to find out if bud holds the same

Finally after 82 days the trichomes looked just as I like them so I sent her into 3 days of darkness before I cut her. She's now hanging in the tent and drying in between 17...18°C / 62...64°F and 55% RH. The climate outside is just perfect at the moment so I can keep the temperatures in my grow room low, simply by keeping the window slightly open. I think a little bit more than a week will do - I'll keep you updated ;-)

Week 9 Flush week for PE1 & PL1. Most pistils are brown or are browning and a large portion of trichomes are turning milky with some turning brown so, another week and they should be ready to harvest. PE2 still has little more time and should follow a week after. PE1 is looking and smelling mighty tasty. She's filled out nicely with clearly defined chunky buds. I just can't wait to trim those down. Despite being outside I can smell the pineapples on the groundfloor at the other end of the garden 😂 PE2 is also looking beautiful but still, has a few weeks left in her. The lemonade could be chopped now in my opinion however, I wanted this one to be my nightime smoke so i'm going to let her mature another week and chop along with PE1. She's so compact I can't really tell where each bud site is, guess i'll find out soon. I've also been preparing my shed for drying. Last season I used the office and stunk the entire house out, it was so strong at one point it made me feel a little sick. My wife, well, she was NOT happy; I'am amazed how she puts up with all my shit, she's an awesome girl. So rather than put us all through that again Inchose the shed. The challenge with the shed was to get rid of the smell. The people who lived here previously stored pool chemicals in there so it took me a few months to get any residual smell of chlorine etc out. It now just smells like somewhere dark so, should be good. The only concern is airflow. I have a fan in there but there's no ventilation. I could keep the door open but I don't want to encourage anyone to go looking for its source 😁

Hey Guys, Finally the Harvest time arrived, and it was way harder than I imagined!! I thought It’ll be fun to cut and trim but It was something that needed lots of attention and patience, getting near a kg bud, trimming and hanging them, checking on other buds in the jar and feeding my 2weeks baby plants , while keeping the area clean and out of reach of my dogs!! Everything was extremely in a Rush in a couple of days. But Im totally happy with the results. I set up the grow tent to 20degree and 55% relative humidity with two fans from each corner, I hope I get the best outcome when I see finally find them dry. I already smoked it up and the smell & taste is undescribable ... smell of pineapple is all over the place, my Grinder is full of it. Slowly gets me high without attacking and keeps it up to hours.. very strong Sativa feeling, Very fruity and such a sweet good strain. I just love it and will definitely grow the same strain Again & I’m Very happy that I chose this Strain for my first grow. Thanks a lot for watching these girl’s journey guys.... Great smell and growing dense. Fell over this week due to its weight on one side since one side grew more than tje other.. Is a great plant and is growing smoothly shouldve cloned it.

We are going to continue on with tying and tucking and spreading. I cannot wait to see what suprises this strain has, as I get the feeling her true colors will be wild. This week I also show the HydroHalo system I have installed to better assist with watering these girls under the net. There is a 5 gallon bucket with lid as resivior, tubing, T fittings x2, valves x2, a small submersible water pump, air pump with hose and air stone in the resivior to keep it aerated.

High, on FD29 I ferted with 1,6 EC (60ml Flores/ 10l). On FD32 every plant got 3l of nutrient solution (EC 1,6 / pH 6,4) so I flushed the old shit out a bit. Wet vacuum cleaners are pretty good for cleaning up this mess. 👍 The pics from FD33 were taken shortly before the light went on. 😊 On FD35 they got a nutrient solution with Zyme, Flores, Boost (EC 1,7 / pH 6,3). 👍 Stay green. 😉

my dry and cure style is this: 4 days of hanging upside down to get water activity lower to around 0.6 in 50% humidity and 26 C temp (i know its a little high but we are in a hot summer right now and i cant get it lower even with air conditioner) and then after 4 days of drying i remove leaves and stalks, trim buds and move them to jar for the rest of their life :D . and in the first 4 days of curing i open the jar door and let hem get some fresh air in the jar for about 5 minutes and close the jar door again, after 4 days of curing like that buds are smokable but they will get better as they getting cured about 1 month. buds are one of the hardest as fucking rocks type of buds! very dense , compact , sticky , smelly , amazing at every aspect growing stage was 56 days and flowering stage was 75 days total (harvested tops at day 64th) the total weight of dry buds was : (plant #1 & #3 top buds 56 G + lower buds 22 G ) 78 G + (plant #2 top buds 47 G + lower buds 18 G ) 55 G + (plant #4 top buds 120 G + lower buds 67 G ) 187 G = 367 G

Start Week 9. The leaves are slowly starting to turn yellow. I have now watered it for the first time with water 0.2 EC / 6.5 pH. The buds are developing great, the smell is becoming more and more intense. I'm looking forward to harvesting the lady in max 2 weeks.
