Week 17 Last week before harvest. Just let the plants ending the maturation process. Good synchronization between the different strains, selected with an approximate identical flowering period. *Pre-flowers have micro trichomes upon formation, LOL. Based on my early observation, I predict that these will be frosty frosty on the trichomes. Added 20lbs of black lava rock as mulch, raising soil temp around 1 and a half degrees to 72.8F. Some nice little bud formations are creeping up already. Nice little foliar spray of some aminos to the underside of the leaf. Hard to guage or know how much the aminos help, but after reading how energy intensive it is for the plant to make them from scratch its something I feel I need to do as a habit. An EC (Electrical Conductivity) meter, one that's made for the soil, it's so useful, as it indirectly indicates soil moisture as well as salt mineral nutrient levels. Just pop your metre stick in the soil and if ec is low, then it's time to water. Once there is water to assist in the conduction of electricity, the EC" will kick back up. 0.3-1.8, if it stays low, then you know it's time to add more mineral salt ferts! While Electrical Conductivity primarily indicates the overall salt content in soil, pH provides information about the relative proportion of cations (positively charged ions) in the soil's salt capacity. High EC signifies a higher salt concentration, while pH reflects the balance of cations like calcium, magnesium, potassium, ammoniacal nitrogen, sodium, and hydrogen. Smaller leaves have less surface area for stomata to occupy, so the stomata are packed more densely to maintain adequate gas exchange. Smaller leaves might have higher stomatal density to compensate for their smaller size, potentially maximizing carbon uptake and minimizing water loss. Environmental conditions like light intensity and water availability can influence stomatal density, and these factors can affect leaf size as well. Leaf development involves cell division and expansion, and stomatal differentiation is sensitive to these processes. In essence, the smaller leaf size can lead to a higher stomatal density due to the constraints of available space and the need to optimize gas exchange for photosynthesis and transpiration. In the long term, UV-B radiation can lead to more complex changes in stomatal morphology, including effects on both stomatal density and size, potentially impacting carbon sequestration and water use. D120. We have arrived at the twelfth and final week of this grow. Twelve weeks of flower is plenty, and the trichomes are starting to mature. In any case, I soon need to move the light into another tent, so chop day is almost here no matter what. ------------------------------ D121. Hello, fin de la semaine 3 de Flo. Les plantes on presque fini leur stretch de pré floraison. La densité du feuillage était énorme au dessus du scrog. J’ai donc effectué une grosse défoliation pour laisser circuler l’air et aussi augmenter la pénétration de la lumière. Je pense que j’aurais peu être due tailler un peu plus les toutes petites pousses pour éviter les pop-corn car beaucoup on poussaient pendant la pré floraison. Les 1ères buds commencent à se former. Elles vont pouvoir se développer un peu mieux grâce à la défoliation dans les prochaines semaines. J’ai aussi augmenté la puissance de la lampe. Je suis passé à 100% soit 600w pour les 4 dernières semaines à venir. Voilà tout pour cette semaine Happy grow...😎

Veg week two. Everything seems to be ok at this point.

The grow went well considering the circumstances. 3 grows horizontally until flower and needs support for the branches as the buds got so big. 2 was easier to manage it didnt need much support. Theres no waste from this strain, barely any trim and the trim there is is smokable it's so covered in frost. My meter got out of wack in late flower and I ended up giving a heavy feed which burnt the tips of the buds.

Plants are growing fast. In this phase they drink about 3 liters a day each.
