I’m doing this week a day early for everyone because I have to leave for work for a few days and I just got back from 3 days of being gone. This is the first and second time I’ve ever left them. Usually this late in the game I can get a little longer out of the reservoir though. I cleaned it when I got back and started fresh to get these ladies down the home stretch. One is obviously ahead of the other by about a week which is normal for me and she’s getting a fade and some foxtailing on two of the top sites which there isn’t much I can do since the lights are all the way raised up. I’m going to just cruise into the finish with moderate nutrients and bounce the ph from 6.4 until they drop to 5.6 so they get all the nutrient uptake. My calendar shows this as the beginning of week 6 compared to the diary but we’ll keep watching as the purple bleeds into the trichomes. Thanks for looking!

Frostbanger Plants 1-6 Week 9 May 18– 24 FLOWER 5 Nutrients : 3 gal GH Micro 20 ml GH Gro 10 ml GH Bloom 30ml CalMag 15 ml Recharge 10ml Green sensation 15ml Power buds 7.5 ml 5/18 PH 6.67, PPM 935, temp 68.5 1 ltr each 5/20 PH 6.67, PPM 1330, temp 68.5 2ltr each 5/23 PH 6.6, PPM 1570, temp 68.5 2ltr each 5/24 pics & vid Since all 6 gals are getting frosty, I did some trichome pics. The statistics on Frostbanger indicate 50-day flower. Pics show mostly clear and milky. There are a few with amber trichs and many orange pistils indicating maturation. At least 3 more weeks for maturity on these gals. I continue manual control of the environment and using 3 circulating fans and the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This creates a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. It looks like growth has stopped and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All 6 of them are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. #4, 5 &6 are showing some fade, particularly #4. Upon opening the tent, a melon smell comes off the buds if I get close, and more stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. They are living up to the new strain’s name. #5 is the frostiest followed by #2. Wow week 3 of flower and that much frost already. Before FastBuds announced the strain name and characteristics, I was disappointed that FBA2502 could be an indica sleepy strain but the universe provides what you need at the time. The new strain profile indicates a whopping 29%THC with mainly sativa uplifting, euphoric, social effects with sweet fruity flavors which I love and enjoy. This is going to be crazy

Another thank you to RQS for providing the genetics. She was a fun plant to grow, and watch her cola's forever get bigger and bigger! Thanks to all that follow, like and comment. I'm extremely grateful for everyone's input 👊✌️🤙 Once she was down, her fan leaves were cut off and each branch was hung in the drying box and left to dry for 8 days. It was left in a cool dark place to slow drying time. Once the outer leaves were dry her buds were given a close trim and jarred for curing. I put a 62% Integra Boost pack inside each jar to ensure the humidity is stable during curing, although it's not crucial. The jar is burped once a day for a few days and then left approx a week inbetween the next couple of openings. After 3 weeks or so, you don't have to worry about burping if you wish to store for a while, or you can tuck right in like I do! Because I have 4 seperate quarters for other plants/strains in one tent, under one light, I've had to calculate these by dividing the conditions by 4 (4 sections in total sharing same conditions). This is the fairest and only way to work it out on average as a full tent. If you multiply by 4, it gives you the average amount for a full tent worth. Happy growing! 🦊

(Update: 4/20/19) Please stand by while they dry. (Update Everything is going great though! The smell is very strong now; no more cut grass smell. From looking at all three today, I believe that some of the smaller branches will be done drying and ready for trimming and weighing in a day or two. I have one guess for dry weight of Big Lemon, any other guesses?? Remember, the picture of Big Lemon hang drying looks like its two plants, but its all Big Lemon; I had to cut it off to be able to hang it. The amputated branch left of the main plant is bigger than my other two plants alone! (Update 5/2/19) Woah...Okay. So after drying the whole for about nine days, and trimming for four days, Big Lemon's dry weight SO FAR is about 430ish grams of super dense and sticky nugs. Its amazing that I got more big bud than I got popcorn nugs from such a big plant. I have one more 1/2 gal Mason Jar of untrimmed tops to finish, then I'll post pics or a vid of the weigh up and glamour shots etc.. Oh, almost forgot, Little Lemon produced about 40 grams of very nice bud. This surpassed expectations because, although it was planted on the same day as Big Lemon, it was the runt of the bunch because it got pushed out of the main tent that had all the lights and Co2 environment and everything. It spent much of late veg under a very weak light. I remember how limp it was when I gambled on it and chose to switch her over to 12/12. But it was totally worth it in the end! Alight back to work for me. Check back later today for pics, vids! (Final Update: 5219 @11:09pm PT) Its done. Its finally done! I had to trim both plants with my own two hands! So Exhausting, yet so rewarding. So above are several videos of the weighing. Grand total for Big Lemon is 14oz of prime top shelf nugs, and about 3oz of nice popcorn/LARF (they are separated as shown above in a video. Forgive me for not throwing it all together to weigh it, I spent a long, long, very long time trimming and sorting and canning the buds according to their respective grade/quality. I may add one more update to show their respective weights. Oh and little lemon produced about an 1 1/2 oz of prime nuggets and quite a bit of popcorn/LARF, which I haven't gotten around to weighing yet. So, Grand Grand total of Both Lemon OG Candy (amazing job with this beast of a strain, Philosopher seeds) is about 18.5oz, or 1lb 2.5oz for two plants; 15.6oz of which is entirely made up of top-shelf buds 😎 Damn I love SoCal, I didnt even need to run carbon filters because no one be trippin about a lil stink weed. (Update: smoke review after a week or two of cure) This Lemon OG Candy had an extended veg period, about 4 months maybe a little longer, and I harvested her on day 56 of flower (recommended harvest 60-70 days) because of the size/distance to light and her root-bound problems. The results so far, a very uplifting and stimulating quality.

Switched one generic t8 8w led for a t8 9w grow led. Plants have responded well to the change. Will give the plants a few more days before moving them down to the 2nd grow chamber with double the lights. Will leave the small ones in the current chamber until they recover and catch up. USB Desktop fan seems to be too directional. WIll adjust so that the airflow is a bit more uniform.

So far this has been a interesting grow. The plant naturally split on its tops to make 2. So a interesting mutation for sure. I trimmed out around base so I can water easier. Not a lot of room to work with all the leaves in the way. Been doing my video, and pictures each week for the tiny Potter contest. I have increased her feed and ph. Working on raising it to 6.0. She should start stretching soon. Curious to how big she will get. I don't plan to do any real training. Gonna let her do her thing. Try to keep her happy. Día 26. Estamos en la 4ta semana. Por ahora mantengo la solución y la planta sigue creciendo pero ya está casi para cortar los esquejes. La semana que viene seguro estoy cortando, y ya tengo que preaparar todo para pasar al otro modulo del infoor. Decidi dejar de aplicar HST y apliqué una recnica con colgantes que bajan las ramas y las mantienen perpendiculares al piso. De esta forma las ramas laterales empiezan a subir. Está técnica me ha dado muy buenos resultados anteriormente. El crecimiento ha sido acelerado y las ramas estan bastante gruesas. Mañana voy a cambiar la solución. Vengo realmente contento con los resultados. Este experimento me va a permitir saber cuanto puedo llegar a sacar de este espacio y ver si me permite armar un ciclo para poder llegar a la próxima cosecha con remanente para poder ir guardando variedades diferentes. De paso ya tengo una referencia de cuantas semanas toma hasta poder cortar esquejes, y así saber en que momento poner la próxima semilla. Puse unas semillas bastardas que tenía, y las pienso mandar a la terraza a florecer directamente en el invierno. Otra experiencia que si bien no ha dado grandes resultados, ha sumado al stock. La semana pasada no llegué a subir mucho. Pero mañana hago un update de cómo se han movido las ramas bajas. En el último video se muestran bien las ramas que pretendo convertir en esquejes. Seguro saque varios, así que habrá para regalar si logramos que enraizen varios. De por cierto las manchas blancad que se ven, es tierra de distomeas que ha quedado desde la aplicación en 2da semana. Día 28. Termina la 4ta semana de crecimiento con un muy buen ritmo. Hoy cambié la solución y mantuve la formulación anterior (1g/L de feeding grow y 0,5g/L de green jungle bioestimulante de crecimiento). La planta está fuerte y ramificada. Sostengo que los esquejes se van a cortar un poco antes de lo previsto. Calculando que son 5 semanas de crecimiento y 1 semana de enraizamiento de esquejes, voy a tomar 6 semanas para preparar la próxima madre. Así que siendo esta variedad de unas 10/11 semanas de flora, voy a poner a crecer la nueva madre en la 4ta semana de floración. La planta tiene distancia internodal corta/media por lo que observo, así que es un detalle a tener en cuenta. Ya me empieza a dar la ansiedad de ver que todo va saliendo y quiero ya poder pasar a floración. Va a ser jna nueva experiencia hacer una planta desde semilla en hidroponía, ya que siempre hacía sólo esquejes y la madre la pasaba a tierra a florar en otro lado, debido a que por las raíces no podía sacarla del sistema que tengo ahora. Pero resolví eso y voy a ver por primera vez la potencia de la hidroponia en una planta desde semilla. Le hice corte apical a las dos ramas más largas esperando ver una mayor ramificación, ya que tengo un espacio de 1,2m x 0,55m por llenar y administrar. Espero que todo siga en marcha. Nos vemos en la 5ta semana desde mañana.

The plants are still growing at a good pace. Just finished their 1st week on 12-12. They definitely filled out so we went ahead and did like a 40 % defoliation to help the light get through all those branches. Waiting to see the start of the stretch and some more early signs of preflower. I was short on time or inwould have more up close shots of early signs, I'll edit mid week and update on how they bounced back from the trimming.

Going to add more pics when the light turns back on, don't wanna stress her out and risk herm'ing with light leaks (if that's even true better not to risk it). She's stretching like CRAZY nice internodal spacing I prefer them a bit more spaced out, not too far apart but I think it makes room for chunkers. But not too close together, so much so to risk mold, butrot, or mold issues. This is the perfect medium. Absolutely cannot wait to see how the buds look. Everything appears to be Female in thee grow aswell super happy about that.

Little girls are going well, i'm impressed by how fast they growing. Things are doing great for now. Vamos familia, que ya acabamos este proyecto, última semana de floración de estas Purple OG kush de Dutchfem. Lleva un par de semana solo agua y un lavado de raíces , empezaron amarillear y a comer ya los pocos nutrientes que les van quedando. Ya tengo muchas ganas de acabar con este proyecto. The budlets have fully developed and are now starting to fatten up. There hasn't been any deformed leafs or signs of nutes burn so the flush of distilled water from last week seemed to work so I'll b using 1/4 the the recommended dosage for there first feeding this week. Ap is really showing her purple color with the budlets and her sugar leafs. Blueberry is more potent smell so we will see what this week has in store.

The "Gelato" grows in a very particular way, an irregular bush with the right brunches in the right place, we have also patched the sides and placed something dirty in the regrown central.

Flowering day 74 since time switch to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) Finally the time has come . The lady was harvested and hung upside down in the dry tent 😍. Before that, she stood in the drying tent in complete darkness for 2 days and the large leaves were removed. The small leaves stay attached during the drying process so that they protect the buds and allow them to dry more slowly and evenly :-) . In the dry tent, the temperature is 18-19.5 degrees and the humidity is 54-58% 👍. In this environment they are now allowed to hang for 10-14 days before they are fine-tuned and trimmed clean by hand. then after trimming they come to ferment for 6-12 weeks in dark jars with bobeda packs 62% to keep the perfect humidity. After a few weeks, the Boveda packs 58% are used so that they can slowly dry out :-) . Of course there is one last update after trimming. Until then, I wish you a lot of fun with the update.
