Hey grommies,
Since i had so much luck with my 1st Royal Gorilla by RQS why don't give it another grow?!
But this time it will be grown in deep water culture. This was my first grow in any type of hydroponics and LED. Looking back the "blurple" vipar spectra was a mistake. Used it in a couple of grows, coincidentally when switched to dwc as well, so not only the learning curve was huge as I was having issues that I no longer have not using this old generation LED.
That being said Viparspectra as very good more recent products, so nothing against the brand at all.
Good grows!
Due to lack of sylica and talent 🤦♂️🏽😶🌫️, i ended up beaking half of one plant. I've decided before to lst one plant since the beginning and topping and mainline the other. The one i topped first wast to soon and too deep of a cut which made the plant recover poorly.
This was the last week of veg l, in the end of the week i turned to flower schedule. As well.as the weekly feed and water change.
I also ended up taking 2 clones before the light schedule change. I offered one to a friend and flowered the other with the other plants. The clone turned deep purple despite the mother didn't.
Buds are very resinous, but due to the stretch they are very spaced between each other. Also I'm getting trouble to fatten them up. Seem airy and the tips are drying a litle bit.
Great genetics overall as RQS get us used too.
Although the flower turned out light amd airy with a lot of foxtail, i balme it on the old school led fixture and me.
