Trichomes: The Frosty Frontier This week, the focus is all about those frosty beauties! • Trichomes are the key indicators of ripeness and cannabinoid production. Watching their progression from clear to cloudy to amber provides the ultimate insight into maturity. • Currently, we’re seeing a fantastic mix of cloudy trichomes with some clear still hanging around – a perfect sign that they’re gearing up for their final push. • Fun fact: Trichomes serve as the plant’s natural defense mechanism, protecting it from UV rays and pests while being our treasure trove for cannabinoids and terpenes. Spectrum Tuning: The Science of Light Light plays a major role in shaping the maturation process, and this week, we’ve dialed in the spectrum for optimal results. Here’s the breakdown: • Whites: Running at 77% to maintain robust overall growth and trichome density. • Deep Reds, Far Reds, and UV: Maxed out at 100% to mimic the end-of-season spectrum, signaling the plants to finish strong. • Deep Reds: Enhance photosynthesis efficiency through the Emerson effect. • Far Reds: Promote stretch and flowering hormone production. • UV: Stimulates trichome production for an extra boost of frost! We’ve also added a timing twist: • Reds & UV start 15 minutes before whites to simulate sunrise. • Reds & UV finish 15 minutes after whites to mimic sunset, creating a more natural light transition. These subtle timing tricks help reduce stress while optimizing light absorption, ensuring every photon counts! 🌞 Environmental Conditions: Precision is Key Here are the dialed-in parameters for the week: • Temps: 26.3°C • RH: 70.1% • CO2: 800 ppm • VPD: 1.03 kPa With these numbers, the ladies are thriving in their sweet spot, absorbing nutrients efficiently while maximizing trichome development. Lighting Power: • Lower layer at 800 PPFD and the upper layer shining bright at 1500 PPFD. The canopy coverage is perfect for even development throughout the garden. .... Really good week but the work continues. The stretch is on. The 2 ladies on the extreme left has a proper stretch going on. It may be due to those are the girls I mainlined or it could be the blurple lights that both of them are under. Still removing some of the thick lower growth below the netting. its think but i remove just a little everynight for a gentle reduction in foliage. Not pictured here but on Day 12 white hairs were beginning to show. A few issues with high humidity during lights on or high heat when the dehumidifier is on. No strain specific smells as yet. Huge difference observed between the mainlined strains ( Orange Sherbert and Green Gelato) and the other LST strains in the tent. The stems of the mainlined strains tend to be fatter and there is a significant reduction on foliage on the mainlined strains. The LST strains (Blue Gelato 41 and the Vanilla Kush) are more bushy, squat with heavy foliage. Also not so much as a long stretch.

Thanks Short Stuff Super Cali Haze will be a nice one, I hear she gets big . This strain is the holy grail of auto flowering growers, a true and pure auto-Sativa and one which has been described as a SUPER AUTO by its breeder stitch. Stitch has been working for many years on refining an autoflowering haze strain but as many other breeders know this a very difficult and some say an impossible task. Stitch finally managed to do this when he created his ‘Nirvana sky’ strain and this has been used as the basis of super cali-haze. First a ruderalis was crossed with haze special and bred until it was 100% autoflowering. This was then crossed back with a resinuous colombian mother from Cali state and the super auto was then stabilised. Super cali haze is our first SUPER AUTO and she is a big tall strain which can grow over 2 metres outdoors and produce upwards of 4 ounces. This is perfect for someone wanting to fit 2 harvests into one summer season and still be cropping out before everyone using traditional photo-period strains. Super cali haze also works perfectly indoors although some training and tying down may be required to help control her unbelievable growth. Unlike most autoflowering strains which are indica dominant Super cali-haze is a pure Sativa strain so will give you that soaring cerebral hit you expect from a good old fashioned haze. The aroma of the plant is not too potent but when you take your first hit you will truly experience its wonderful earthy and spicy flavour. The high comes on fast and is uplifting, energetic and incredibly potent keeping you on another level for a good few hours. When you come down its without a big bump and super cali haze will not leave you feeling groggy and lethargic. This really is a very different auto and one which you will surely want in your collection. The super auto is here and its here to stay, this is going be Big!!!

Fimmed this at week 3. Looking really healthy and started to show thricomes. Really excited about this grow looking like really good genetics from fastbuds.

So its week 6 of flowering ! Day 42 ! Halaluya ! She is looking good as i defoliated her for the last time now ! She got about 2-3 weeks left , and i hope she will get fat buds cause overall she looks great ! Cant wait !

Last defoliation before flipping. Next defoliation planned for day 13, 25 and 35 in flower. She built a dense “sea” of tops through LST—everything is spread out evenly and reacting exactly how I want. Super nice structure overall. Really impressed by her thick stem and how well she handles the training. She’s very thirsty and takes the Advanced Nutrients like a champ.

Bit late posting this but the pictures are from D70, with work I didn’t have time until now. They’re still filling out the room ever so slightly. The girl at the front is suffering from light stress even though she’s the shortest, I have dimmed the light above her down to 70%. Out of all the the plants she has been the most difficult to manage from the start and has the smallest root mass. The other plants seem to be handling 100% with no issues. I have to say, at this stage of the grow, they do smell nicer than Strawberry Lemonade, very sweet and perfume like, harder to grow it seems but I am looking forward to trying her in August! Accidentally "topped" her by hard LST... Way she goes. I top dressed this week with 50/50 Gaia green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4... 😊😊 Things seem to be looking great! Can't wait for flower to come on hard!

17.01. F15 The plants have now reached a height of around 80 cm, and the stretch is almost finished, slowly coming to an end. Bud production has clearly started, and overall the plants are looking very healthy, strong, and well structured. Over the past days, intensive defoliation and lollipopping has been carried out, but deliberately not all at once. Instead, a small portion is done each day to keep stress levels as low as possible. Due to the heavy branching, a large number of small side shoots had formed, many of which were removed to improve airflow and create a more open plant structure. Overall, the grow continues to run very smoothly and according to plan, once again strongly supported by the Biotabs nutrient system. One major advantage is that no CalMag, no dolomite and no additional corrections are required. Feeding is done strictly according to the Biotabs schedule, otherwise following an “only water” approach – with outstanding results so far. Powdery mildew is still present, but only at a very minimal level. Occasionally, 2–5 affected leaves appear and are removed immediately. In addition, the entire room and the plants are treated twice a week with a water–Purolyt solution. Compared to the previous run, there is a very noticeable improvement, and the effect is clearly visible. At this point, the grow is running fully on track, and the photos and videos speak for themselves.

apologies for the washed out photos, didn't look as bad on my phone but now I can see it. will try to take better photos here forward under the lights. 18/6 lighting Daily Light Integral The daily light integral (DLI) you provide is 13.3 mol/m²d whereas the ideal is 12 mol/m²d. For the most part, all is well this week. Temp and RH has been very steady around 73-74 degrees and 45-55% RH. Decent growth on all four except the one plant, Apex by Ethos. The plants taproot grew up instead of down. It was a little light in color as well, I believe that it has since corrected itself and found the right path downward. I’ve been hand watering about half a gallon a day from the reservoir to make sure the roots are getting water and food. I increased the EC of megacrop to 0.8, roots are just now hitting the water with all the plants (except Apex). I’ll keep hand watering until they do. I lowered the water height to .5” below the net pots, I suspect they’ll be off to the races now. Added an air stone inside of the reservoir itself as well, to help keep everything nicely mixed at all times. PH still sitting perfect at 5.8. So far so good outside of that.
