Another week in, and these Premium Cultivars Sleepy Joe is wide awake. Featuring rock hard beautifully scented flowers that are covered with sugar. Into the 7th week and the pistols should start to orange now. With this the calyxes will also start to swell. Exciting times ahead. Been a while since I had some indoor smoke.

Just chopped last night. About 8oz wet weight. Did a good amount of wet trimming, will do a final manicure once it is dried. This grow has been an absolute blast - the girls were good to me and didn't give me much trouble. I am a man of variety, so I always try new things - so not sure if i will grow it again but if I had to, I wouldn't be mad at all :)
Smoked some scissor hash it is sure was tasty! and strong - got me feeling reallllllly nice.
Will update in a week or so when it is dried to report on the dry weight. And then some time after that I will report on the smoke once it cures :)
UPDATE POST HAND DRY: The plants hung for 6 days, and have now moved into the jars. Dry weight of exactly 2oz. 51g buds, 5g trim.
I had no idea that cannabis loses its smell a bit as it dries - so i got super worried at first, only to realize this is normal and the beautiful smell returned shortly. Will continue to update after curing for a taste/effect review.
UPDATE ~ 1.5 Weeks into cure: Looking back it think I did too much dry trimming. It had been cold at that time, and I was paranoid about mold. It dried quite quickly, and I might have been out a day too long. I was aiming to get them in jars and have it sit at about 60-65% humidity - but when they went into the jars it never went higher than 54% and kind of settled down at 48%. But the buds aren't crispy by any means, so maybe my humidity meter was off. They do seem a little too dry though - and the buds are definitely quite airy. My grow light is pretty small, so I'm not expecting super dense buds. From what I've read, I'm worried they might have over-dried past the point of "curing"? Or maybe I'm reading too much into this, idk. This is all a learning process and I'm enjoying it regardless. It was my first grow so I definitely have room for improvement within my current setup.
I couldn't wait to try it so I've been sampling throughout the curing process. The flavor and scent profiles are definitely changing, and for the better - but it doesn't have that same "dank" smell it had when she was a living plant. Not sure if that's normal, but probably just didn't have the best drying process. Obviously this early, I'm not expecting amazing taste and smell, so let's see how some more time does. I will say it gets me stoned, for sure haha. It's got a nice dark green, purple color too it with a decent amount of thichomes visible. Honestly, the smaller plant (#1) that I stunted early on has a better scent/taste already, versus #2 that looked so good. Not saying #2 is a bust at all either. It has this earthy, almost cheesy flavor profile. Interesting.
Back to the effect - it worked to the point where I feel laser-focused writing this update haha. It definitely has a hybrid effect, with a nice euphoric uplift, while helping me relax and ease tension.
I'll try to keep updating this as it cures!

Esta semana fue solamente de flush 🚿 en esta ocasión decidí usar florakleen para ver con cual obtengo mejor resultado si con este o con flawless finish, lo hice así, primero hice un lavado con pura agua con ph de 6.2 lo hice desde el ultimo día de la semana anterior, fue lavado doble, uno en cuanto se encendio la luz y otro justo antes de apagarse, luego empezando esta semana regué dos dias usando el florakleen y ph de 6.2, el tercer día no regué y al final de ese día le di corte ✂️ y la colgué, actualmente ya la tengo curando, la tuve 10 días secándose con una humedad de entre 50 y 60% para un secado lento.

I’m at the res change time .sitting at an EC of 1.0 . I have been adding ph distilled water for keeping water levels up and diluting while the vpd went up idk I’ll see what happens next and eventually be able to spot issues early on with better consistency. Just self notes I guess.

1/29/24 - Beginning of week. Looked good, was planning on letting it go another week but within a day the top leaves started turning yellow all over and I started seeing amber, just a few but spread out all over the plant, so last minute decision to harvest on 1/31/24.

My longest vegetative growth to date. This may be her last week in veg, I will keep her outdoor for flowering as of next week….my theory is proven with the solar powered light. I love what she has come…the LST worked for even spacing.

Watering has become an issue like I knew it would be. I need to start watering twice a day because at once a day they are drying out fast. To pull a couple of leaves because they turned yellow from lack of water.

The flowering is going on just perfect.
New branches began to actively gain flowers. For additional stimulation of new flowers, I installed a household extra LED lamp.

Anyway...
I wanted to point out that all my doses of nutrients are for a liter and a half of water so as to be even more scrupulous to avoid overfertilizing. I turned off the dimmer, at noon simulating a half day of fire lol i'm crazy. added a reflective film to the base of the room, raised the plants to the same level by placing boxes under the pots, many Thanks @Roberts for encouraging me to look for the boxes, I'm a lazy boy!😇
...a clarification for the most refined minds .... I know very well that the glass is for white wine but it is the only one I have, I take this opportunity to thank my neighbor for giving it to me ;)

The gorilla cookies has come out of the soil and it pushed itself up very well without having to dig it up out the soil. This is one plant I’m excited for I hope it grows to look like the photos
The temps are rising around here making it some much easier to start seedling than in the winter with heater on full blast

I saw some white dots and I was worried there was some kind of infestation. The grow area wasn't really isolated from the rest of the house so I think it was just dirt but I wanted to be safe so I sprayed then with insecticidal soap and rinsed them off in the tub.
