dear grow community, I report back with the fifth week of my Northern light auto grow. This week my plants have started to flower. They have grown extremely well and I have a lot of fun taking care of them. I have now stopped using LST as I want the plants to grow upwards. I have also changed my fertilizer. I also changed my sodium vapor lamp from veg to flower. I'm looking forward to see my babies flower and hopefully produce big buds. Last week I started applying Flowermind Brazilian organic fertilizer. The girls have had good growth in the last few days. With the exception of the youngest plant, I think it could be an effect of the soil having less aeration. When I started this cultivation, the amount of material for the soil was not enough for the 4 pots so the fifth pot had slightly different components in terms of proportion, having less peat and perlite than the first ones.

Welcome to week 8! She’s still looking great and healthy. It seems that she’s still making some height but slowly also the buds getting bigger and bigger from day to day. At end of week 8 I probably have to adjust some branches to give them more light disposal and maybe doing some light defoliation. I’m still very happy with this strain and also with the performance of the growbox. Can’t wait to see how she’s producing nice, dense and thick buds

End of Week 6 Added CO2 with regulator and controller! Added the trellis net to spread out the canopy and get more even light to bud sites. The ladies have lost some momentum and they're drinking less because of the pest issue. Although they should be growing faster because of the CO2 supplementation I'm sure when the thrips are gone they will explode. I also performed some HST by removing fan leaves and softly pinching and bending some of the stems to open up the canopy whilst keeping the stress at a minimal. Pest Report: Still fighting the thrips... Every time I spray Bio-Insek and Xterminator (Agro-Organics) it deals with the problem for a few days until the eggs and larvae that the thrips left behind hatch and start munching on the plants again. The ladies are strong and healthy and get a slight wilt when I haven't sprayed IPM for a few days this tells me that its not a major issue but I need to get rid of them especially because I want to flip to flower soon. It seems that the problem is under control. Now I will apply it weekly to make sure those buggers are ELIMINATED.

📋 The Lemonpaya was a good plant to grow, im gutted about the start of bud rot, it was only a tiny bit, 3 buds tightly packed together and it was were all 3 buds touched each other. So i removed more then i needed to of decent buds just being cautious. I should have chopped the tops a good week before i did because they were ready, and i may have gotten away without mold, and the lowers would have benefited with the extra light. After 2 weeks drying I put the buds into terplock bags, never used these bags before so I'm hoping everything works out. Stats for the GDG21 Truffle gas. Dry decent buds 94g Dry larfy buds 4g Lemonpaya Dry decent buds 62g Dry larfy buds 8g Trashed buds 21g Total decent buds=156g Total larf=12g Removed because of rot 21g Hash=7g Total=163g Light power=217.11 KW during the 115 days of the grow. 18hrs for 35 days=630hrs, 16hrs for 7 days=112, 12hrs for 70 days=840hrs. Total hours lights on=1582hrs Average watt per hour lights on=137w 1.18g/w 📋 Smoke report. This isn't what I expected at all the, I'm not a fan of lemon strains but this one only has a very slight lemony taste. Better then I was expecting. Take it easy. Back soon.

The 7 blue gelato 41s are doing ok theyre hermie/pollinated perhaps as the calyxes have swelled but gonna run them the whole way through as an experience for my first grow. The stems also smell very good like blueberry/ cookie
