🍬 Sweet Mandarine Skittles (Sweet Seeds) – Week 7 | Flowering Day 1 🌸 Here we go! 🚀 Yesterday I flipped her to bloom, so today is officially Day 1 of flowering. She’s growing in Sonnenerde (yes, real “sun soil” 🌞🌱) and has already stretched like crazy. Honestly, she smells phenomenal – a strong sweet citrus candy vibe in the air 🍊🍬. I’m a bit worried she might turn into a giant later on, but that’s part of the fun 😅. I didn’t catch the moment right after transplanting to see how she reacted, but hey – it’s all part of the experiment. Luckily I’ve got a few more seeds of her in the stash, so we’ll see what this one can teach me 🌿. Sie wächst in Sonnenerde 🌞🌱 und hat sich vorher schon ordentlich gestretched. Der Duft ist jetzt schon phänomenal – süß, fruchtig, richtig nach Citrus-Bonbons 🍊🍬. Ein bisschen Sorge hab ich schon, dass sie nachher ein richtiger Riese wird 😅. Leider hab ich den Moment nach dem Umtopfen nicht getappt, um zu sehen, wie sie reagiert hat – aber egal, ist ja ein Experiment. Zum Glück habe ich noch ein paar Samen auf Lager, also mal sehen, was dabei rauskommt 🌿. Bleibt dran und vergesst nicht zu folgen – das hier könnte ein richtig süßer Ananas-Rainbow werden 🌈🔥.

********Week 9 Vegetation- Sept 12 to 18, 2020******* This will be the last veg week. Flipped to flower cycle at the end of the week:) LST this week on these girls. Getting them ready to put in a SCROG I think. Pull them down for now to start pulling them wider and make it easier to fill in the canopy’s net. Actually, they were only tied down for this week. At the end of the week I removed the ties. These girls need to be allowed to grow tall. I achieved my goal of spreading out the branches and making her wider for the start of flower. Now I just have to let her go and hope she will get another 12” to 18” taller in the stretch. There were 4 feed days this week and Advanced Nutrients Bud Ignitor was introduced this week.......getting ready for flower👍 Switch to Bloom nutes next week. Going to finish these girls with Advance Nutrients line this run. I may have to use a supplemental from Green Planet to get through to harvest. This lines bottles are getting closer to a year and a half old now........use em uip👌😃 Not buying more Bud Factor X for example (still have a couple of syringes worth) but rather will add Terpinator and Rezin instead. Little more detail: Sept 12/20 - CalMag @ 2ml, VeloKelp, Vitrathrive @ 1.5ml, AN Sensi Grow A&B @ 1ml - 610ppm and 5.9pH - Each girl given 2L - Pulled out and cleaned up to get ready for netting - Canopy height fairly even today.....little more time to fill in though. Sept 14/20 - Giving them a hearty feeding today with lots of ml’s to rinse off the roots a little more - Sensi CalMag @ 2ml, B52, Microbial Mass @ 1.5ml, Sensi Grow @ 1ml - 880ppm and 5.4pH - Each girl given 4L and they had a nice amount of runoff - maybe 30% this time. - Canopy filling in nice but worried about these girls height compared to Gorilla Girl beside them. Uneven heights down the road?? Sept 15/20 - Add some sweetener to feed the microbes today,. - Sensi CalMag @ 2ml, Bud Candy, B52 @ 1.5ml - 625ppm and 5.2pH - 2L each for the girls - Leaf colour is a little light so getting the Magnesium up and Nitrogen......that’s why using the heigh nitrogen Advance Nutrients Cal Mag. - pH is a little low but I am cool with it and working on not letting the pH drift too much yet in their run. - They are ready.........they want to flower😃 Sept 17/20 - Bud Ignitor introduced today as we get ready for Flower phase next week. - Sensi CalMag, Sensi Grow A&B, Bud Ignitor, all @ 1ml/L - 485 ppm and 5.7pH - Each girl given 2L - Ready to flip now but I concerned that I need to have these girls at least 8” higher than they are beucase they are not going to stretch as much as the other girls in the tent. - these girls have some most fan leaves growing.......I want to pull them but I am resisting😉 - Swtich the light cycle tonight to 12/12 and get the party started👊👍 That takes us to the end of Veg for these two girls. They have some very thick main branches and lots of large fan leaves. I expect to see further side branching growth in the next couple of weeks. they both have 4 nice main tops forming so I expect they should have a few chunky buds by the end💪 The girl in the 3gal pot is doing very well and I would suggest looking better than the girl in the 5 gal pot right now. Not fully surprising to me though.......the bigger girl with the extra room for roots, will likely seem a little happier in about 5 weeks but time will tell. Cheers Growmies and have a great week🙏

Day 29. No problems as far as I can see. Started doing daily feeds from day 20, figuring I'll keep consistent track of the runoff PPM, and it is right now at 330, which is the highest reading so far (too high?). Inflow has been steady at 420-460 PPM for a while, and will continue until flower. Last weeks topping turned out to be a FIM, and I now have 8 new tops.. "fuck I missed" indeed

It's like a support system for her budding ambitions. Now, let's talk about IPM, or Integrated Pest Management, because every grower knows that prevention is key. I noticed some unwanted visitors in the form of thrips and fungus gnats, so it was time to take action. But hey, I prefer a natural approach, so I called upon some tiny allies to join the battle. I introduced nematodes to the soil, those microscopic warriors who feast on the unsuspecting pests. It's like having a secret army of predators ready to defend my precious plants. But that's not all! To further bolster the defenses, I invited some other beneficial insects to the party. Spical Ulti Mite and Swirskii, the mighty protectors, joined forces to keep those unwanted critters in check. It's like an epic showdown between the good, the bad, and the buggy. Who needs a superhero movie when you have a living ecosystem fighting the good fight? In a way, the scrog net and the IPM predators are like my own version of the Avengers. They work together, each with their unique skills, to create a harmonious and pest-free environment. It's a sight to behold, and I can't help but feel like the proud commander of this green army. Aug 17: she is looking happy at the start of the fifth week since I started force flowering. Buds are forming and everything is on track. Very nice plant. Aug 18: nice enough day after a small bit of rain early. Tops are progressing nicely. Aug 20: hot and sunny so extra water again despite some rain last night. Aug 23: added another Scrog layer. This seems like a really good way to stabilize the plant while holding things in place for maximum sunlight exposure.

Dealing with very strong winds this week. Also morning temperatures are below 15°C causing quite a bit of morning dew. Clear tarps are a big help as long as the strong wind doesn’t blow it away ha ha

A week in and four out of the six are ready to head to the big tent to go into their one gallon hydro buckets... I've been impressed so far with the 100% germination rate as well as the vigor in which these have taken off. The roots are well over 6 inches and they've been guzzling up this diluted nutrient solution I've started them off with.

Amazing harvest!! I get way better results using NPK only and 1 Bud booster, and of course calmag+, but everytime i use multiple additives it gives my plants more problems!!

Great buds turned out great just of coarse could have used a little more but hey it was worth the experience on to the next grow bigger and better !
