Week 2 of Flowering plants are doing there final reach. I defoliated one plant that is out of control growing fast..lol.. in hopes to stunt it a little . Everything is going well I'm very surprised at how much nutrients these girls need. I feed them every watering or they start to wilt and yellow. Crazy .. I might try to slow that down now that the leaves are very rich in green color. No signs of burn only deficiency Wich I corrected by feeding them every watering.🤷

Graduated, and am off from work for a few weeks, so went overboard on photos. Plant is doing well, leaves are starting to turn yellow (strain trait). Can't wait for the harvest and being able legally gift my xmas ornaments to my cousins during our "cousins walk" at our family xmas party.

So far it seems to be fine even if the high humidity worries me even if the temperatures are still high then they have stopped growing and will finally focus on the flowers and slowly we recover these small deficiencies

July 27: start of second week of flowering and she is really stretching the last few days. Looks good. It seems this F1 Fast plant is indeed quite fast flowering. Until last week, there was really no size difference with my other photoperiod that was started at the same time (Euphoria) but this Blueberry Pie is now about 7 inches taller. With the flowering started last week, she should be done in early September which is great. We run out of strong enough sunlight before it gets too cold in October and the earlier the finish the better. July 28: watered with Monster Maxx last night and with molasses this morning. Still misting leaves to counter low humidity during daytime. Watering a bit more than a litre several times a day as needed. July 29: looking pretty dark green today and growing strong. Fairly hot again at 27 C so extra watering and grow bag spraying again. I’ll try to stick to water here for a bit to make sure she’s steady and not being over fertilized. I’m thinking she’s doing really well and this could be quite a big yielding plant. We’ll see. Aug 1: about 28-29C today so pretty hot again. Bright strong sun all day and they were a bit wilted when I got home in late afternoon. Quick watering and misting with hose water on leaves got her back looking happy in no time. Probably 7-8 L per day when hot which might seem low but the bacteria from the compost tea work to retain water and you don’t need to water so much.

Growing at a good pace. Going to top the leaders at the 3rd node on day 28. Might wait a week for the others. Going to mainline my grow for the first time. I will wait to defoliate after they heal from being topped. I will update this week with more pictures after they are topped. Topped day 28. Defoliated day 30. Lst day 32?

Having a battle with my soil ph which is at 7.3 (down from7.8) I have been watering with water in the 4.5- 5 ph range since the soil ph is so high. I am also having nitrogen issues . I stopped feeding a last week. I added a bit of top soil to the plant which might have added more nutrients making it worse. I am going to do s flush and see If things improve.

#seedsman420growoff and #SeedsmanSeeds 📆 Week 5, 25-31 May 2024 25-27 May - Observed and let the plant grow. 28 May - Defoliated plant. 29 May - Placed scrog ring on trellis system, bent top of plant over 90 degrees, adjusted and spread branches (see pictures). 30-31 May - Observed and let the plant grow. 📑 I’m very pleased with the way this plant has responded to the nutrient schedule so far. Now it is time to see how she will do with training. I like using a version of the scrog method most because it gives me the greatest space for bud growth overall. My experiences have taught me that under these lights there is about 15-18” worth of quality vertical bud potential. Anything below that line is only draining on the plant, and not receiving adeqate DLI. So I dont need to focus on a tall plant - rather a wide one. Now that she is under a scrog the DLI has a significant canopy increase. What I’ve done with this plant is cut all side shoots off the main branches up to the scrog. She will grow for another week to allow all for growth to develop just above that and then be flipped to flower. I’ve never grown this plant before, but assumeing she can double her size during pre-flower, I’ll have plenty of room in my grow tent. The Trellis System: is made with 1/2” (12.7mm) white, SharkBite PEX, 1/2” pex clamps, small screws/nuts #6-32 x 3/8 in (to hold clamps opposite each other, this is what holds the structure together, side bars, rings, scrog), 1/2” pex straight coupling connectors (to connect rings, and extensions), nylon tape and nylon cord. The frame design is independant from the bucket and can be put on anytime before or after the start of the grow. It simply snaps together (nothing needs to be crimpted), the rings stay in tact with coupling and tape, the netting is strung once for the most part, I prefere 2” squares, and held in place by clamps. The size of the rings depends on the size of your pot, the bottom and top ring are measured seperately. The scrog ring is determined by the size of the tent or desired spread. It takes 5 side bars evenly spaced apart and snapped on the bottom ring 1st to hold the frame sturdy in place, their length should start flat from the bottom to about 8” above the top of the bucket. Place the pot into the bottom ring with 5 side bars already attached, lift up the bars, then put on and attach the top ring, this prevents it from moving. Both are then placed on a 12” Bonsai turn table for easy access and observation of the plant. The final scrog is placed on when the desired height is close to being achieved, then maneuvered down over the plant. A simple design that allows you to easily adjust the netting (place extenders on side bars faceing in opposite direction for additional height) and opens many other possabilities for training. Week 3 of Flower we focus on Defoilation. This really is going to test the genetics response to extreme stress. Performed a 5 day Schwazze to minimize stress instead of ripping off most leave in one day. Plant seem to have reacted well so far. This technique has really opened the canopy and expose many bud sites. Preparing for a top feed at start of new week.

Last week, I introduced the scrog net, and oh boy, did she respond with enthusiasm! It's like witnessing a botanical ballet, as her branches gracefully weave through the net, creating a lush and even canopy. I sometimes catch myself humming "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies" while tending to her. The scrog net truly is a masterpiece, guiding her growth and ensuring maximum light penetration. It's like a support system for her budding ambitions. Now, let's talk about IPM, or Integrated Pest Management, because every grower knows that prevention is key. I noticed some unwanted visitors in the form of thrips and fungus gnats, so it was time to take action. But hey, I prefer a natural approach, so I called upon some tiny allies to join the battle. I introduced nematodes to the soil, those microscopic warriors who feast on the unsuspecting pests. It's like having a secret army of predators ready to defend my precious plants. But that's not all! To further bolster the defenses, I invited some other beneficial insects to the party. Spical Ulti Mite and Swirskii, the mighty protectors, joined forces to keep those unwanted critters in check. It's like an epic showdown between the good, the bad, and the buggy. Who needs a superhero movie when you have a living ecosystem fighting the good fight? In a way, the scrog net and the IPM predators are like my own version of the Avengers. They work together, each with their unique skills, to create a harmonious and pest-free environment.
