💜 8×8 Adventure – Week 13 Purple Haze by Zamnesia – Pheno A The Big Mama Has Officially Left The Golf Ball Era Behind 😂💜🏀⚾🏉🔥 Hello everyone, and welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! 🌱💚 And... YES. She's still fucking enormous. 😂💜🔥 Our Purple Haze Pheno A continues to make her presence known from her corner of the 8×8 jungle. You don't need to look for her. You don't need to ask: "Where's Purple Haze A?" She's basically standing there saying: "HELLO! I'M RIGHT HERE!" 😂 She's big. She's beautiful. She's substantial. She's developing those absolutely ridiculous flowers. And honestly... the more I look at her, the more I love this girl. The orange tones developing through those pistils are becoming one of my favourite things about her. That contrast between the green foliage, the developing flowers and those increasingly orange hairs... Beautiful. 💜🌿🧡🌸 And the funniest part? I'm still doing basically nothing to her. She's doing the work. I'm just watching. 😂 She has her space. She has her photons. She has her environment. She has her irrigation and nutrition. And apparently... that's enough for her to say: "Don't touch me. I've got this." 😂💜👑 So let's give this Big Mama the spotlight she deserves. ──────────────────────── 🔥 WEEK 13 – THE BIG MAMA IS STILL HERE Purple Haze Pheno A continues to be one of the most noticeable plants in this entire room. And that's saying something. There are twelve plants in here. Twelve different personalities. Twelve different structures. Twelve different expressions. But this girl? She doesn't exactly blend into the background. 😂💜 She's big. She's present. She's filling her corner. She's carrying some seriously impressive flowering structures. And she's doing it beautifully. Looking at her this week, I keep coming back to one thought: "How are these flowers still getting bigger?" 😂 Because honestly... they are. The plant continues to look substantial. The flowers continue to develop. The structure continues to become more impressive. And the overall appearance is becoming increasingly mature. But we're still watching the process. We're not calling her finished. We're not trying to predict exactly where she's going. We're simply documenting what she's showing us. And right now? She's showing us some seriously ginormous flowers. 💜🌸🔥 ──────────────────────── 🏀⚾🏉 THESE ARE NOT GOLF BALLS Let's get something straight. 😂 These are not little golf-ball-style flowers. Not even close. We're way past that conversation. We're somewhere around: 🏀 Basketball? No. ⚾ Baseball? Getting closer. 🏉 Rugby ball? Now we're talking. 😂💜🔥 And some of these flowers are starting to look like they're on their way toward the American-football conversation. I'm obviously exaggerating for fun... but only because the point is: THEY ARE NOT SMALL. 😂😂😂 This girl is not producing tiny little flower clusters and hoping nobody notices. She's producing substantial, heavily developed structures that immediately catch your eye. You look at her... and you know. This is Purple Haze Pheno A. The Big Mama. 👑💜🌸 ──────────────────────── 👑 SHE OWNS HER CORNER There are some plants that occupy space. And then there are plants that own space. Purple Haze Pheno A? She owns her corner. 😂👑💜 You can see her presence immediately. She's got the height. She's got the structure. She's got the flower mass. She's got that beautiful overall shape. And when you walk into the room, your eyes naturally find her. That's one of the things I love about following her individually. Her personality has become very clear. She's not trying to be the biggest plant in the room. She's simply being herself. And somehow... herself is fucking big. 😂🔥💜 ──────────────────────── 🧡 THE ORANGE PISTILS ARE STEALING MY ATTENTION One of my favourite things about this week's photographs is the colour developing in those pistils. The orange tones are becoming increasingly visible. And I absolutely love the contrast. That deep green foliage. The developing flowers. The increasingly frosty surfaces. And those beautiful orange hairs running through the floral structures. 🧡🌸💜 It gives the flowers a completely different character compared with the earlier weeks. Earlier on, everything was much fresher. Much brighter. Much whiter. Now we're seeing more variation. More colour. More maturity. More personality. And that's exactly what I want to document. Not just: "Here's a beautiful flower." But: "Here's how that flower changed." Week by week. Photograph by photograph. And Purple Haze Pheno A is giving us a beautiful progression to follow. ──────────────────────── 💎 THE FLOWERS ARE DOING THE TALKING At this point, I really don't need to say much. The flowers are doing most of the talking. 😂🌸 They're substantial. They're developing beautifully. They're becoming increasingly defined. They're carrying more visual weight. And when you get closer with the camera... you can see just how much detail is packed into them. This is one of those plants where the full-plant photograph tells one story... and the close-up tells another. From a distance: "That's a big plant." Closer: "That's a big flower." Even closer: "Jesus Christ, look at that." 😂💎📸 And that's the beauty of documenting the same plant every week. You get to watch the entire transformation. ──────────────────────── 💜 SHE'S STILL DOING HER THING And here's something I really want to emphasize. I'm not doing anything special to her this week. No dramatic intervention. No unnecessary manipulation. No trying to force her into a particular shape. Nothing. I'm letting her do whatever she has to do. And she's showing me what she has to show me. Healthy. Beautiful. Big. Frosty. Developing. And absolutely unmistakable. 😂💜🌿 Sometimes the best thing a grower can do is simply stop trying to improve something that's already working. She's doing her job. So I'm doing mine. I'm watching. I'm documenting. I'm checking the environment. I'm paying attention. And I'm letting her write the next chapter. ──────────────────────── 🌿 OBSERVATION OVER INTERVENTION This is becoming a recurring theme throughout the 8×8 Adventure. Earlier in the grow, there was plenty to do. Structure. Positioning. Training. Canopy management. Adjustments. Now? We're entering a very different part of the journey. The plants have established themselves. The structures are there. The flowers are there. And the best thing we can often do is observe. Look. Compare. Photograph. Learn. And only intervene when something actually requires it. Purple Haze Pheno A doesn't seem interested in asking for anything right now. She's too busy becoming enormous. 😂💜 So I'll let her. ──────────────────────── 📸 THE CAMERA IS LOVING HER And honestly... how could it not? 😂📸💜 She's one of those plants that gives you something different every time you point the camera at her. Full plant. Main flowers. Side flowers. Close-ups. Different angles. Different lighting. And suddenly you realize: "Wait... THAT flower is huge too?" 😂 That's what makes documenting her so much fun. She's not just producing one impressive structure. There are substantial flowers distributed throughout the plant. And the more you look... the more you find. ──────────────────────── ☀️ SAME PHOTONS – DIFFERENT EXPRESSION And once again, this girl is doing all of this in the same environment as everybody else. The 8×8 continues with the expanded Future of Grow Black Series lighting setup. Two additional 600W fixtures were added to the room, giving us more available lighting capability and more control over how we use that capability. We're not simply running everything at maximum. We're controlling the output. Approximately: 🔌 ~59% power from the plug With approximately: ☀️ ~1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy. And Purple Haze Pheno A is sitting underneath those photons... doing exactly what Purple Haze Pheno A apparently wants to do. 😂💜☀️ Build. Stack. Develop. Grow. And make enormous flowers. ──────────────────────── 💡 MORE CAPABILITY – NOT MORE CHAOS One thing I really like about the lighting upgrade is that more capability doesn't mean we have to use everything at maximum. We have more headroom. More flexibility. More control. And that gives us the ability to operate the fixtures at a level that makes sense for the room rather than simply chasing maximum output. That's much more interesting to me. Because the goal isn't: "How much light can we throw at the plants?" The goal is: "How can we create a controlled lighting environment and observe how these different genetics respond?" And Purple Haze Pheno A is giving us one hell of an answer. 😂☀️💜 ──────────────────────── 🔬 SAME ROOM – DIFFERENT GENETIC EXPRESSION This is still the heart of the entire 8×8 Adventure. Twelve plants. One room. Same general environment. Same lighting philosophy. Same irrigation. Same nutritional foundation. Same 12/12 schedule. And... completely different plants. Some are slow. Some are fast. Some are compact. Some are huge. Some are building differently. Some are changing colour differently. Some are developing flowers differently. And Purple Haze Pheno A? She's one of our Big Mamas. 😂💜👑 She's showing us what her genetics want to do under these conditions. And I love that. Because we're not trying to make twelve identical plants. We're trying to see twelve different stories. ──────────────────────── ⚗️ NUTRITION – LETTING HER FINISH HER WORK The room continues with the current flowering nutrition approach, with the nutritional programme being adjusted progressively as the plants move deeper into the cycle. The current foundation remains around: 🌱 Terra Bloom 🌱 Power Buds 🌱 Green Sensation 🌱 Sugar Royal with the room continuing around the current: ⚗️ pH ~6.0 ⚡ EC ~2.1 mS/cm The important part for me isn't simply looking at numbers on a chart. It's looking at the plant. And this girl? She's giving us a very clear response. She's growing. She's developing. She's building those flowers. She's maintaining beautiful colour. And she's continuing to look healthy. And one very happy-looking Purple Haze. 💜🌿☀️ ──────────────────────── 💎 THE FROST CONTINUES TO BUILD And of course... we can't talk about this girl without mentioning the frost. 😂💎 The flowers continue looking increasingly decorated. The surfaces are becoming more visually complex. The closer photographs reveal more and more detail. And when you combine that with the orange pistils... wow. She's developing a really beautiful appearance. The colour combination is becoming one of my favourite parts of this phenotype. Deep greens. Frosty flowers. Orange pistils. Large floral structures. And that unmistakable Purple Haze character. 💜🧡💎 It's a beautiful combination. ──────────────────────── ?🧡 SHARING THE MEDICINE WHILE SHE'S STILL GROWING And speaking of the flowers... I've also been enjoying sharing some of my white hash medicine from the room. Not from this girl yet. She's still standing there very much alive and very much unfinished. 😂💜 Her chapter hasn't reached that point. But eventually... she'll have her own place in that story too. And when the time comes, we'll talk about everything properly. The harvest. The flowers. The cure. The smoke. The aromas. The flavours. The effects. And all the details that deserve their own reports. For now? She's still in the room. Still growing. Still developing. Still making me stop and stare. 😂💜🌸 And that's exactly where I want her. ──────────────────────── 🌸 NOT FINISHED – NOT EVEN CLOSE This is another thing I want to keep clear. The flowers may look enormous. They may already look extremely developed. But I'm not going to start declaring the end simply because they look impressive. She's still progressing. She's still changing. She's still developing. And there's still more story to come. The plant will tell us when she's entering the next chapter. Until then... we watch. We photograph. We learn. And we enjoy the show. ──────────────────────── 👑 THE BIG MAMA DOESN'T NEED HELP STEALING THE SPOTLIGHT Some plants need a little encouragement. Some need a little explanation. Some need you to point the camera in their direction. Purple Haze Pheno A? No. 😂 She steals the spotlight herself. She's standing there in her corner like: "Are you finished talking about the other plants yet?" 😂💜👑 "No, no... come here. Look at THIS." And then you look. And... yeah. She's got a point. 😂 She's beautiful. She's substantial. She's developing beautifully. And she's impossible to ignore. ──────────────────────── 🔮 WHAT COMES NEXT? Honestly? I'm just curious. How much more will she build? How much more will those flowers develop? How will those orange pistils continue changing? How will the resin expression evolve? How will the overall plant mature? And when this girl finally reaches the end of her journey... what the hell are those flowers going to look like? 😂💜🔥 I have no idea. And I'm perfectly happy with that. Because that's why we're documenting it. No need to guess. We'll see. Week by week. Photograph by photograph. Chapter by chapter. ──────────────────────── 💭 FINAL THOUGHTS – THE BIG MAMA IS STILL SHINING Week 13. And Purple Haze Pheno A continues to be one of the absolute characters of this room. 💜👑🔥 She's still ginormous. She's still beautiful. She's still impossible to miss. She's still occupying her corner like she owns the place. And those flowers? Well... I think we've officially left the golf-ball category behind. 😂🏀⚾🏉 She's moving into baseball. Maybe rugby. And she's looking suspiciously toward American football. 😂😂😂 Jokes aside... the point is simple. These are not small flowers. This girl is not kidding. She's building some seriously substantial structures. And she's doing it while I'm barely touching her. I'm not trying to force her. I'm not trying to make her do anything. I'm simply letting her be Purple Haze Pheno A. And she's showing us exactly what that means. Healthy. Beautiful. Big. Frosty. Orange-haired. And completely herself. 💜🌿🧡🌸💎 That's what I love about this project. The plants tell us who they are. We just have to pay attention. So keep doing your thing, Big Mama. Keep shining. Keep building. Die Blüten werden langsam dicker. Die Dame wird immer durstiger. Sie ist schon echt klebrig und man kann wirklich Lemonen und Mamdarinen Terpene wahrnehmen.

Stopped weaving to leave them about 6-8 inches above the canopy. Will be defoliating at some point next week to improve light penetration.

Chance of a Lifetime Greenhouse seeds Wonder Pie Week 4 29th May 2020 Welcome back to my Wonder pie grow. Everything seems to be going steadily ahead, and It looks I have three quite different looking plants growing. Plant #1 is a bit of an ugly duckling with her crumpled looking leaves, she even has a heart shaped leaf at the bottom 😁 Plant #2 looks healthy but "Flat" lol like she can't be bothered to lift those leaves up off the ground. And Plant #3 has a taller , more traditional appearence. On Tuesday the 26th I performed the first topping of the three girls. Plant's #1 & #2 were topped after the 5th node whilst plant #3 I topped @ the 5th node which basically means that instead of counting 5 nodes and then topping as I did with the first two I actually removed the 5th node on plant #3 It will be interesting to see any differences in recovery and new growth rates. On Thursday 28th I gave the girls another feed of the GHS Enhancer that came with the Powdered feeding for the Competion. It reccomends using the enhancer every two weeks , which is what I will do. Checked the Ph with my bluelab soil probe and they are all within the 6.4-7 range I aim for when using soil. Interestingly I never observed any mycelium growing on my soils surface as I saw others had when they started but I'm sure that is nothing to worry about. ** Today 29th May** I have noticed the new leaves are coming thru where I topped each plant they all look like they are very healthy and growing nicely . If I had to choose one as the best looking I would pick plant 3 as it seems to look the best to me. Plant 2 is very leafy and has extremely tight internodal spacing which is good 👍 And plant 1 is a straight up freak , it's got mutated leaves one of which looks like a heart shape 😳 never seen that before 😃 Other than the looks , this Wonder pie strain seems to be very happy growing in my soil with the Greenhouse Powdered bio feed and enhancer if they continue to develop at this rate I may be able to flip them to flower a little earlier than anticipated ( at 6 weeks rather than 8) Now a quick breakdown of my management this week Every second day they get 500-700mls of water each Except for thursday 28th when they had Greenhouse Feeding Bio Enhancer @ 1g / L I simply made up a 2L bottle of rainwater with 2 grams of enhancer mixed into it . ( shaken well) I then watered the entire bottle equally between the three plants . Fo' Twenny here back with another update! I will be updating and uploading more photos through out the week. I hope you'll ride along and give me a follow! The deets: Feeding with .2 ml/gal of RapidStart and .2 ml/gal of SuperThrive, Adjusted pH to 6.5 and then add .25 tsp of recharge. 8/16 - 8 days post sow. All but 2 seeds have sprouted. I was especially concerned for the Melon Gum because I only had a 2 pack and both beans were quite pale. I gently dug around in the peat pellets and found the bean with a fresh, healthy tap root! I expect she should be popping up by tomorrow evening. The other bean yet to pop is the Jenny Kush. I was gifted 5 Jenny Kush seeds, and I will wait until tomorrow to see if she sprouts a tap root before popping another one. Hopefully, I will have more luck with the next one. Successful germination in 16 of 17 photoperiod seeds. With a total of 19 of 20 if you include the 3 autoflowering cultivars running along side. They're being documented in separate diaries and will stay in the veg tent when the photoperiods are moved into the bloom room. Go check 'em out! 8/20 Update: Melon Gum has sprouted. If you're not following my Zkittlez Auto diary, you missed that I almost killed this girl on accident. Graceful me, knocked over her solo cup and she got stuck to a sticky trap. Her stem split in half and I put a piece fabric medical tape to mend her and she is actually growing and doing well regardless of her injuries. All the girls, except Jenny have sprouted and are developing. I planted a new Jenny seed 8/18 and left the original in too, just in case. This week the girls started to show up to the party; bulking up and putting on weight. It’s like they stopped at Wendy’s and got a frosty overnight. We’re running just under 1000ppm with no issues. I’m having reservoir funk issues so I’m switching to jacks RO this week. 1g a day. This weeks accomplishments: Split electric load (safety) This week: Switch nutes upgrade reservoir and lines next week. Long term issues It’s hot. Straight 90s this week. So the same - Cooling and VPD targets during heat waves Preventing pest and mold issues during high humidity conditions. I hope you all are having as much fun as I am. Best of luck gromies. Not really done much last week, they got a bit of light burn from LED. Which I've now move up. But new growth seems to be doing ok. Cover crops are coming on fantastic. 26/6 Friday V) She is the bid sister of the group so I'm going to top her today 29/6 V) Has got 4 new grow tips started where I topped her. The rest are catching up nicely now. Will start some LST in the next couple of days. 2/7 Done a bit if training on the girls today. Bent four of them over. The fifth one that I topped I didn't bend her yet, I just did some leaf tucking and she is coming on fantastic. 3/7 They have all bounced back brilliantly and heading towards the lights. 5/7 End of week 3 and going to do some more LST on them as the have bounced back from the last lot of training.
