The Permanent Marker genetics are showing their full character now, and it’s pure art to witness. Our Permanent Marker #1, the one who always aimed for the moon, is now proudly showing her colors — purple tones starting to dance along her sugar leaves, a sign that she’s entering her final transformation. Meanwhile, Pheno #2 keeps her deep, loyal greens, compact and elegant, building buds that are dense, heavy, and sparkling. The aroma this week is unreal — floral, rich, and much stronger than expected for this stage. Welcome to my MilkyWay F1 Auto Diary, Untopped VS topped. Results are in. Days 71-82 ripening 0-13 week 11&12 Went well. She did bulk up a tad. But not much. They spent most their lives under a 100w. But, the bud is really dense all over. No larf, at all. Its a really good quality of bud I'm getting from both phenos. As far as ToppedVsUntopped well, that result is in. With a seeds used from the same pack (same parent) making true F1s as they need to be from the same batch. It why we all got different phenos, and those who ran more than 1, from their seeds, the phenos are very close. One of mine had more of a fade and looks more purple. Both smell very lovely & fruity. Nice trichome production with very dense but, rather small buds if I do say so. But the grade itself is very high. (As grade is not rated on size) overall both turned out very similar. Even fade wise, they've both developed a lovely colour finishing under high co2 environment with the SE5000 really has brought out a lot of fade i normally do not get. look at the start. It was only a few days under this light and the past 14 days they've both popped. I will also say. A lot of their life was spent under a 12-12 (3/5s of flowering). Topped VS Untopped pheno 2 & 1 Are very similar as I've stated this area will be filt in with harvest comments. Bud smell. How the dry went. And after a weeks cure. I'll rate it. So watch this space. These 2 phenos have been on just water for 10 days. I did a quick run off test. Got back 145ppm my tap is 110. So, they're good to go. Trichome wise. 95% cloudy 30-35% amber. (Hard to see, I'll try get pics with my scope) but, as you see. Both are fully ripened. Anymore and its just bud deg. Both plants leaves are showing end of life. Some are dying. (I'VE BEEN WATCHING THESE LEAVES AND SEEN THEY'VE BEEN DEAINED, ITS NOT BR) Lights The SE5000 was used for the Ripening phase. With high temps and co2 i pushed my boundaries and got a lovely fade reaction from doing so. How I know its down to this light as I've put my Runtz under it. And as soon as I did. It developed fade. My Frosted G even started getting light purple on its sides. The temp in tent has been pushed to 31-33c (that's not leaf temp as I've fans blowing on my plants, and that lowers surface temps by a few degrees.) They've been on 17hrs of high powered light. At 25-30cm id no choice. My temps are mad high this time of year. Harvested Both plants are been pult they're getting their last few hrs. You'll then see the last few pics in a few hrs. I'll get bud shots later, smoke reviews and then to be fair. I'll then mark it by the GD rating system. As I do with all my strains. (So I've 2-3 wk delay in my diaries as they're Harvested, mostly) both plants I'll try push them as far as I can through the drying process whole. But, as I'm dealing with high temps. Lower RH and a fastercl dry is pref to a longer dry in hot conditions might not make sense, but 30+ hot weather harvests, I've got this down. Mind you only this round all my other hot harvests some took a few weeks to rid the hay smell. This avoids it and locks in potency. Most of the drying is done by leaving the plant in the substrate just before the plant goes for itself for fluids. 4-5 day dry as opposed to 5-6 day dry with weed that loses half its stenght. (dry harvesting look it up) Thanks to James from RQS, although I know everyone and their sister got the offer for these seeds I am defo going to be trying more from RQS, if it's buying. I'll get round to it, and depending on the quality of smoke it might be soon. If its a real nice auto, I'd love to try a fem of theirs for my winter crop in October. But, that'll depend. I've lots I want to buy & try.. and when favs are found. I'll invest. I would like to thank everybody for the activity this diary has gotten. Its possibly one of my most active diaries I've done without a harvest. And that's in no short means down to all the views and likes from you guys. And for sure I will fully complete it, with results on the smoke Quality from both phenos, if it varies, but, results thus far, structure wise they're shockingly similar. Scary so. Topping has very little affect to the structure. She grew a main cola. But both phenos, turned puples I will say the topped one was a more troublesome plant. Maybe that had a role onin its morphology. And maybe it'll affect the bud also. The topped was more demanding nutrient wise, and drank more. Maybe to support a more even bud load. (I've yet to do a through inspection, but on the VS front, it's kinda in the air about quality, structure wise, it had very little difference. Look for yourself at the heights are 3-4cm dif) lots still to come. And I'll update it soon with more results. Although both phenos owe their bud quality to 2 x 100 watts SF-1000 (SE5000 was used for ripening lovely fade) and I used a P1000, they shared even light distribution in the end for the most part. I’m glad for growdiaries I was able to track the whole progress and go back to review what I did and didn’t do. The grow went fairly well. After battling some flea beetles and over fertilizing and over watering I got the hang of this plant. The strain seems easy to grow and though it’s not cured yet I look forward to trying it. I have been drying a little piece I snipped last week and will try that out in a day or so. Thanks to everyone who helped me on my first journey. Seedsman was great. Covid caused a shipping delay but the seeds got to me Eventually and here she is!!! I’m sharing a harvest video. I stopped it when I saw some webbing in lower buds. Got nervous. Small spider mites infestation at bottom of plant. Cut it out. Trimmed off the leaves I found them on. Read up on what to do next. Not going to trash this harvest over bugs. I figure it’s for me. Growing organically and outdoors obviously comes along with insects. Whether it’s cannabis or vegetables. I’d rather smoke or eat an insect than ingest a pesticide! I’ve cleaned the buds and trimmed them well. Once they dry I’ll give them a good shaking. And check them over to make sure I didn’t miss anything gross. There was a day before legalization that “you got what you got” and based on the people we procured from I doubt they cared if there were dried up bugs in bags. Never thought about it until today. 🤷‍♀️🏻 Not going to worry about it. I’ll do my best and clean my greenhouse. Sprayed down my other plants and out the fan in them. Trimmed some leaves I found to have mites on those. And I’ll get ahead of the issue for next harvest in 2 weeks. I’ll be back to update dry weight and effects soon. Update: dry weight is 50grams pretty happy about that. The buds are light and fluffy. They take up a lot of space. I can’t believe it didn’t all fit in the GIANT mason jar. It’s ok. I planned to gift some to my cheer leaders who listened to me and my grow updates week after week. Cheers to more growdiaries. 08.05 Day 49 Fortnightly tent clean out, wipe and dry. Moved all the plants around again. 10.05 Sunday Day 51 Cheese cookies is showing signs of severe over feeding. Going to give her just water for a while. The other 3 look great and are coating with resin already. Going to reduce the a+b feed down to 1ml for a while. Big devil and six shooter have a citrusy smell. Sweet cheese smells like pineapple and is the strongest smell out of all. Tuesday 12.05 Day 53 Got my self a tds meter, finally. I'll now be able to make smaller, minute adjustments if necessary. So cheese cookies at the moment is only getting pk boost + head master =650ppm. The other 3 are being fed at 1100ppm, they seem to be loving it. Spread sweet cheese out a little bit more again. So many lovely bud sites on her!👍🌱 Smell is slowly starting to increase but still very mild smells of citrus, pine and tropical fruits. 15.05 Day 55 Buds on the 2 sweet seed plants are getting covered in trichs. The six shooter and cheese cookies are probably going to take alot longer.

Happy new year! Hope 2023 will bring us peace and prosperity! Week 5 is all about growth. Im amazed by Mimosa’s pace. Every morning I’m opening the tent to a bigger stronger plant. Had issues with much higher PH in runoff compared to input (6.5 vs 5.8) and thanks to Roberts and GrowingGrannie i came to solving the issue by increasing the EC. FYI - in coco coir: higher PH in runoff means girls are hungry and need to be fed. Lower PH - overfeeding. Learning everyday! Today (day 35) started seeing a little bit of yellow tips on top so reduced the ec to 1.75 and gave the 4 liter each with 25% runoff. I’m running out of space for mimosa, i was not expecting her to grow so much. Need to consider a 100*100 tent and a bigger light of course. But prolly will keep the existing setup and just stick to growing 1-2 plants at a time i/o 4 right now. Mimosa is preparing for flowering, started giving her Canna Boost and seeing white hairs all over, she confirmed she is a lady :) Cookies is a little behind in height but i believe she’ll catch up. Everthing is cool Pheno 02 is looking good for flower already I'm keeping them very low with lst so when the strech they don't become a issue. Defoliate some leaves on the number 04 cos they were in the way of the light for the new

My girl is almost ready for flushing, darknees period and harvest. The flowers look fantastic, frusty and full of tricoms. After the flushing I'm gonna put her in an 2 day of darknes and then harvest. In the final 2 week's I turned on my uva light at 20% power and total of 6 wats. For the first two days, the light work for between 1-3 hours and after that for 6 hours a day.

It’s day 33’from seed. All of the plants are really healthy. The plants have a really great root system at this point… I am currently slowly moving the light intensity up to the veg area. Now that are in a groove they are about to explode… I’m hoping I can flip the plants to flower in 1 weeks but I’m thinking I will wait to weeks and let them get a little larger. The plants are just now starting to look visually different next weeks update I will be ababoe to go into the visual differences, they are just not that extreme yet to really talk to much about.

I made too strong soil, With my additional amendments ( Which Gaia has most already ) . Basically double down on 4 of them . Working on the canopy and making sure the lower leafs are getting light , and even. It feels shes a week or two behind --------------------------------------------------------------- ----- AI Trouble Shooting ----- --------------------------------------------------------------- I use Claude AI to help with python / php programming, so I figured I'd run my soil recipe through this AI. Asked if there would be any issues, Pretty good response! Here was the response. ( I troubleshot the plant prior ) " Potential Issues: Salt Build-up: Worm castings + Bone Fish Meal together can lead to salt accumulation Watch for leaf tip burning or nutrient lockout Nutrient Overlap/Excess: Multiple calcium sources (Gypsum + Bone Fish Meal) Could potentially lock out magnesium uptake if too concentrated pH Considerations: Bone Fish Meal can lower pH over time Gypsum is pH neutral but can affect nutrient availability Deficiency Risks: Magnesium might become deficient due to high calcium levels Iron availability might be reduced due to pH fluctuations Nitrogen could become limited during heavy flowering "
