📋 Grow Diaries: Week 12 Log – The Organic Pivot The Durban Poison crew DP1, DP4, DP5, and DP6 is officially off the bottle. Running short on liquid vegetative nutrients forced a shift in the garden strategy, and the decision was made to ditch the synthetic/liquid lines completely in favor of a 100% organic, microbe-rich regimen. The immediate explosion of new vegetative tops proving that these pure sativa genetics thrive when fed naturally on the deck. The Feeding Regimen: Castings & Kelp The Top-Dress:** Two days ago, the entire quartet received a heavy top-dressing of pure worm castings across their 25-gallon root zones, providing a slow-release blanket of nitrogen, micronutrients, and humic acids. Today's Feeding: Followed up today with a rich sea kelp drench. The liquid kelp acts as a perfect complement to the castings, packing the soil with natural cytokinins and auxins to stimulate lateral branching and provide environmental stress protection against the intense high-plains UV and wind. The Reaction: The response was instantaneous. New tops are aggressively forming across all four canopies, pushing vibrant, healthy green growth from the inner nodes outward. 🌿 Individual Plant Progress & Observations DP1 (The Lattice Frontier) Satus: The central shoots have officially reached the lower edge of the bamboo-mounted elastic lattice. She isn't quite tall enough to begin tucking horizontally yet, so the plan is to let her poke through by 2–3 inches before naturally guiding her growth outward to open up the canopy space. DP4 (The Main-Line Grid) Status: Symmetrical tops are reaching straight for the sky next to the railing irrigation hub. The kelp feeding today is providing excellent structural flexibility to the main stems, preparing them beautifully to expand into the lower grid squares. DP6 (The Low-Stress Explosion) Status:Displaying phenomenal reaction to the new organic diet. Tied down aggressively with twine to the fabric pot handles, the flattened canopy has allowed the worm castings and kelp to force hidden lower nodes straight to the surface, creating an incredibly bushy profile loaded with fresh tops. DP5 (The Canopy Leader) Status: Massive, dense, and wide. DP5 is completely capitalizing on the 25-gallon container volume, showing thick stalks and wide fan leaves that are taking full advantage of today's microbial wash. ⚙️ Deck Infrastructure & Logistics Status:*The entire layout is locked in. The automated watering lines are perfectly dialed to wash the top-dressed nutrients down into the pots, the wheeled dollies are making plant rotation effortless, and the companion marigolds are holding down pest security on the perimeter. The large white mixing bucket is staying active at the ready for the organic tea brews. Grower's Note: Moving away from liquid nutrients was a forced play, but the sheer speed at which these plants are forming new tops demonstrates that living soil biology is exactly what this Durban Poison lineage wanted. Canopy training will continue as they naturally expand into their spaces next week. Update 6.6.2026: Recieved a camera to keep a close eye on the girls. 😳💪

GENERAL COMMENT The SKR is dry and starting the cure in jars, and the NL is done. RQS NORTHERN LIGHTS AUTO COMMENT. This is the final week, next time will be the harvest, this girl just got mature from a day to the other, lost 70% of the top bud due to rot i haven t seen. So i could get virtually 30-40% yield from this girl Without the locks or rot, anyhow still looking ok as far as harvest, quality will be a bit compromise, not the end of times though lol! 🙃👊🏻👍🏻

📅 Week 10 | 🗓️ Day 64–70 Day 70 – Lemon Cherry Runtz 🍋🍒 (2nd week flower) 🔸The second week of flowering has really picked up momentum. Densely packed flower clusters with long, ivory-colored stigmas; the calyxes are neatly stacked and the first sugar leaves are visibly “powdered.” The canopy is closed, the shoots are growing evenly – the lollipopping work at the bottom and the clean training are paying off. The stretch is noticeably slowing down, and the energy is now going fully into the flowers. 🔸The SANlight remains at 90% and ~30 cm distance (approx. 900 PPFD at the canopy). The leaves appear relaxed, without claws or lightening – so no indication of light stress. I keep the climate rather moderate, with good air circulation through the foliage so that the fresh resin heads remain dry. It's a bit cold at the moment, so I can't quite reach the VPD, but I'm not going to put a heater in, hehe. 🔸I watered as planned with BIO PK from BioTabs – carefully following the manufacturer's instructions. Otherwise, only water. The goal: to push flower formation without compromising leaf health. So far, everything looks great. 📈 Current Conditions 🌡️🔆 = 24°C 🌡️🌜 = 17°C 💨 Humidity = 69% 🔦 PPFD = 900 µmol (12/12) 🛠️ Setup (unchanged) 💡 2 x SANlight Evo 4-120 @90% ⛺ 120 x120 x 180 Spiderfarmer 🍯 Pots: 18 liter fabric pots 🌱 Soil: Bio-Bizz light mix 💊 Nutrients: BIO Tabs 🌱 “Easy, organic, only-water method. Things went as normal this week. I didn't water or feed the girls since i have been sick lately, all I did was push them back under their net. Sometimes their stems pop/snap but i don't worry anymore, the next day they recover nicely. (its more like an internal pop i hear) The weather isn't as sunny as I would like yet, but i can't do much about that. With all the foliage bug hunting has been reel tough, although I found a baby cutworm witch i quickly eliminated. slow and steady the girls keep climbing I just manage the light space 4 them. I only go in on the weekends 4 their training and that seems to be good enough. The girls in the back are just exploding, compared to the others. I dont know if maybe some good soil back there or just some magic beans. Maybe because they are closest to their nightlight?

This week has been all smooth sailing, I have adjusted my feeding practices a bit and stuck with the 12/12 light. The only main difference is I have moved the light higher and cranked the intensity, this means I can get more coverage. LSD-25; I can not get enough of the colour on her, my last run wasn't great and I had a not so purple pheno so this is a pleasant change. I am thinking 2 - 3 more weeks on nutes then another couple weeks flushing till chop day Lemon OG Haze; Plenty of growth, almost a bit more than I wanted but the sativa genes are in full force. Plenty of bud sites and I am going to plan on 6 weeks till she's good.

She's a different pheno from any Green Crack we've ever grown...very interesting looking strain... she's still under 17.5hrs and will likely stay there until she finishes .. she's looks hungrier than the rest, we'll try upping her feed a little this week..

Week by week, the terps are starting to smell better and better. I decided to run PK 13/14 for a few more days. I’ll be switching to Overdrive soon, but it still feels a bit early. Other than that, not much has changed. I brought the humidity down a bit and removed some older leaves that were damaged when I cranked the light too high. This week I also decided to get rid of a lot of the bud growth below the trellis, since I don’t think the light is sufficient for them to amount to much. Apart from that, the feed stayed pretty much the same: Rhino Skin: 1.7 ml/L CalMag → EC 0.35 Coco A: ~2.5 ml/L Coco B: ~2.5 ml/L Cannazym: ~2.5 ml/L Canna Boost: ~2.5 ml/L Canna PK 13/14: ~1.3 ml/L I diluted it down to 2.04 EC (it was around 2.15 EC).

Last 2 autos coming up maybe week or 2 before done. Expecting the large Durban og auto to foxtail some as it keeps adding white pistols. Smaller plant lost track of strain as I didn’t much care but for a little gal she is pungent.

This week battling a bit with the wind in the growtent (you can see in the video i included), had few leaves with windburn but now all are looking fine. Continued LST to create an even canopy. Also think i should have removed the duct tape i used to repair the broken stem should have been removed earlier (it was on there for 10 days) as i saw afterwards (see in the pictures of broken stem repair) that the area of the stem where the duct tape was stayed fairly thin.

11/28/2020 She is starting to grow some pistils not as much as I would expect, But I can see in her leaves she is getting her nutes ! 12/01/2020 She's showing!, I do love how she is stacking uP👍 feeding 1 tbls blood meal blended into top soil, and watering to 10% runoff That should help into her stretch. Next feed will be wk.6 4-9-3 and last feeding.

Thing's are still going well, feeding is going well and they are eating at 2.2 e.c, plenty of food and boost in the solution with no burn, I may increase over recommended amount, had some weird stretching on two of the plants, not sure if something is wrong or just the genetics.. seen first video for example.. Ended up having a fair amount of stretching from the two Jaffa Cakes relative to the washing machine so I've out up the second support net but used it to further hold down the branches. They are drinking lots at the moment, fill recommended dose of A/B/B-52/BigBud, drinking a total of 5-6ltr per 48hrs, e.c coming on around 2.4 to 2.6 however plants seem to be absolutely loving life :)

🌱 Nectar Drip — Week 12 (Week 6 Flower | 12/12 From Seed) We’re now at Week 11/12 from seed, which in this run we define as Week 6 of flower under a true 12/12-from-seed cycle. For anyone just joining — this entire run skipped the traditional vegetative phase. From day one, these plants were placed under 12/12 lighting, creating a growth pattern that behaves closer to autoflowers: fast decisions, no recovery windows, and every day counts. And that’s exactly how we got here. ⸻ ⚙️ Current State — Cruise Control, Maximum Awareness At this stage, the environment is locked and stable: * Light intensity, CO₂, EC, substrate, watering rhythm — all consistent * Hand watering continues daily, allowing direct plant-to-grower feedback * No major adjustments — only observation, correction if needed, and respect for the process This is the silent phase. Nothing dramatic… but everything important is happening. We’re watching closely for: * Any signs of mold or mildew * Micro-deficiencies or excess * Structural stress from weight and density The room is healthy, responsive, and pushing hard. ⸻ ❄️ Week 6 Flower — What’s Actually Happening This is where things accelerate. At Week 6 flower, the plant shifts its energy almost entirely into: * Bud mass expansion * Calyx swelling * Resin (trichome) production And it shows clearly: * Flowers getting denser by the day * Tighter internode stacking * Heavy frost levels across tops and secondary sites This phase is peak reproductive momentum. In a 12/12-from-seed run, it feels faster because: * No extended veg buffer * Continuous clock since day one * Any early efficiency compounds now Right now — they’re efficient. ⸻ 💡 Top-to-Bottom Development — The Under Canopy Effect One of the key observations this run: 👉 Plants are finishing more evenly from top to bottom The under-canopy lighting is driving that by: * Feeding lower bud sites * Reducing top-heavy maturity * Keeping secondary flowers in pace with main colas Result: * More uniform ripening * Better canopy utilization * Less larf, more usable flower ⸻ 🌿 Training vs Natural Growth — Lesson Reinforced Clear takeaway this week: The trained plant is: * Smaller * Slower * Noticeably behind 👉 12/12 from seed does not forgive recovery time Every training event: * Pauses momentum * Redirects energy into repair instead of growth In a cycle this fast, that cost shows up directly in: * Size * Structure * Final yield Conclusion: Less interference, more flow. ⸻ 📸 Frost, Resin & Macro World This is where the visuals take over: * Trichome production fully active * Sugar leaves coated * Buds developing a textured, almost sculpted surface Macro and focus stacking work has started. This is the phase where the plant stops looking like a plant — and starts looking like a landscape. ⸻ 🔮 What to Expect Next (Week 7 Flower) The shift ahead is subtle but critical: * Continued calyx swelling * Pistils darkening and receding * Resin heads moving toward maturity * Aromas intensifying This marks the start of the ripening phase. No rushing. No overcorrection. Maintain. Observe. Let it finish. ⸻ 🤝 Gratitude — Energy Exchange Respect to: * GrowDiaries * The community — OGs, new eyes, supporters, skeptics, critics * The genetics * The gear * Everyone crossing paths with this run Energy moved — this is the outcome. ⸻ 👨‍🚀 Mr. Baggy — On Duty Mr. Baggy is: * On-site * Behind the lens * Watching everything closely And doing a solid job at it. 📡 DELETED @ 1K Please stay tuned.we never quit https://www.youtube.com/@TheDogDoctorOfficial NEW 🙏 Thank you for your patience and continued support. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. @ 1.5-1.6 kPa The plants have a strong, sweet skunk aroma, and when you smell the flowers directly, you also detect a zesty orange scent. The buds are quite heavy for the plant, it would have benefited from a ScrOG net or additional support.
