🌱 Ghost Train Haze — Week 9 From Seed (Week 4 Flower | 12/12 From Seed — No Veg) This week is one of those moments where you don’t guide the plant… you observe it. She’s not just growing — she’s expressing. ⸻ 🌿 Structure & Expression From the very beginning, this run was about letting the plant define itself under a 12/12 cycle — no artificial veg, no forced shaping. And now we see the result: • Strong sativa-dominant expression • Long internodal spacing, but still stacking • Large, beautifully structured fan leaves • Upright, confident growth — no signs of stress She’s currently sitting around ~1.6m, and still stretching. Not aggressively… but purposefully. This is what happens when a plant is: • Not overhandled • Not overcorrected • Simply supported ⸻ 🍃 The Leaves (Worth Stopping For) Those leaves… honestly, they tell the whole story. • Deep green, fully saturated • Clean veins, no deficiencies • Wide spread = efficient light capture • Slight red petioles — genetic expression + intensity, not stress You don’t touch leaves like these unless they ask you to. And right now — they’re not asking for anything. ⸻ 💡 Light & Environment To adapt to her vertical push, the whole room was raised slightly: • PPFD: ~1600–1700 at the top • Still within tolerance because: • She’s actively stretching • Metabolism is high • No signs of light stress Environment holding steady: • 🌡️ 28°C • 💧 ~65% RH • Outside contrast: cold + humid (10°C / 87%) We’re not chasing numbers — we’re watching leaf response (VPD-driven). And right now, she’s fully comfortable. ⸻ Feeding Strategy (Autopot + Support) Reservoir (Mineral Base): • Plagron Terra Bloom • Green Sensation • Power Buds • CalMag (first in solution) EC: ~2.9 – 3.0 → High, but clearly within her tolerance Top Feeding (Manual, occasional): • Sugar Royal • Pure Zym Nothing complicated. Just consistent availability + letting the plant decide uptake. ⸻ 🌸 Flower Development Week 4 flower and you can already see: • Clear bud site definition • Early stacking along the main stem • Structure preparing for weight She’s not rushing flower. She’s building the frame first. That usually means one thing later on: 👉 Potential for heavy, elongated colas ⸻ 🌱 Why This Works (No Veg Insight) Running 12/12 from seed on a plant like this does something interesting: • The plant skips horizontal bush building • It prioritizes vertical structure early • Energy goes into: • Stem strength • Root establishment • Early reproductive readiness For genetics like Ghost Train Haze (naturally large, vigorous): 👉 This approach helps control size without suppressing expression Outside, this would easily become a monster. Here, we’re letting her be big — just within a controlled ceiling. ⸻ 🔮 What to Expect Next Week • Stretch should begin to slow down • Bud sites will start: • Thickening • Connecting • Nutrient demand may stabilize or slightly increase • Watch: • Light distance (she’s getting close) • Airflow through inner canopy No major interventions planned. We continue observing. ⸻ 🤝 Gratitude To everyone walking this path with us: • The OGs who’ve been here from day one • The new eyes discovering the journey • The growers sharing knowledge openly • The communities — inside and outside this platform • The genetics, the gear, the support behind the scenes And yes — even the critics. As always, this is shared for educational purposes, aiming to spread understanding and appreciation for this plant. Let’s celebrate it responsibly and continue to learn and grow together. With true love comes happiness. Always believe in yourself, and always do things expecting nothing and with an open heart. Be a giver, and the universe will give back in ways you could never imagine. 💚 Growers love to all 💚 📸 P.S. – The Eye Behind the Lens All photos in this diary (for now — except for the ones showing the camera, which I took with an iPhone) are taken with a Sony A6700 paired with a Sony full-frame macro lens and a few more. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art.

Bisher kein Schimmel 🤞. Es läuft gut 👍 bis nächste Woche ✌️

Woche 12 Die Woche beginnt weniger erfreulich. Schimmel in den Buds! Waren aber auch wirklich dicke Monster. Dennoch!

Been 10-14 days since I fixed the lighting issue & she's flowering very nicely now. Tho the top of the plant is still a bit behind. There's a street light outside my balcony which still shines a bit of light over the wall that catches the top branches & I wondered if this could be slowing down the uppermost branches. I found some extra sun netting & have hung it on my pergola to block out the street light some more too. Not sure this will make much difference but it has the added benefit of giving her some more privacy as she is getting huge! Have seen some evidence of thrips & mealyworms, which seem to be kept under control by the bio insecticide I have been using. I thought I might have to prolong the grow til late October but the rate she's bulking up now I don't think she'll need to be out there for that long. Time will tell!

Chimera Cut by Anesia Seeds 118 days from seed and 70 days into flowering. 🌱 Our beauty looks absolutely stunning! The buds have taken on a blue tint, and in this color, she’s even more gorgeous. 💙 Huge thanks to Anesia Seeds for the amazing genetics – Chimera Cut has exceeded all expectations! Right now, we’re watering her with cold water and placing ice on the soil to create light stress, and every time we do this, her aroma becomes even more intense! In 3 days, we’ll be harvesting this beauty and enjoying the results. 💪 Special thanks to Xpert Nutrients for the great nutrients, which have made this grow a success. Your products have played a key role in helping the plant thrive at every stage! 🙌💚

This was a fun project that was a few years in the making and a year later to see if they would last a season for this upload to happen. Before any of this I would bike aorund town grabbing up all the old Ikea solid pine bed slats that I could find and storing them in the basement. I have a lot of wood down there, any size worked as long as I have enough of them. The hot days to find them were the first and last of the months because that's when people where moving in/out. I also kept an eye on the free section on local online classifieds as well. The entire purpose of this was to recycle as much off the streets as I could before buying anything to finalize the project. In the end I only bought sealer, screws and some takeaway/beers. All the wood was 100% free and salvaged off the streets of Toronto saving it from the dumpster bin. After collecting all the slats for about 2 years I was playing aorund with them on how I wanted to make this work. I had previously done a little project like this before but I messed it up and the boxes where crap. did not last longer then 2 seasons, they where thin and shallow as well could not grow much of anything in them. I Was talking to my friend who is renovating their house and we brainstormed some ideas on the boxes, I found some designs I liked online and said lets make something like this out of what I have here. We tossed out a few of the design features when looking at them as it would have been wasted wood and extra work not needed. If I had more wood them maybe it could have been an option but simple was the name of the game. They taught me what I needed to know like how the miter saw and sander worked, plus all the other tools I was using. They did help out with a table saw and creating the triangle support joints in the corners, They used some pine left overs they had while making a staircase indoors. I did not feel up to the task of using a table saw given all the relatives I know who have lost a finger to them. In the end we decided the design would be three boards high and take an alternating pattern on corners. layer one short, layer 2 long, layer 3 short. Went with a galvanized and painted deck screw so it can take the weathering. Ran into some problems like making everything level as some of the boards were warped and other ones had undesired aspects like knots and tacky sticker goo I could not remove. So I used them for the base that will not been seen so much. Clamped everything down and called it a day. Once it was all done and over with, I then brought them back home from my buddies work garage and started to seal them. I went with a boiled linseed oil as its a food safe option should the wood degrade into the soil I will plant in them. I will need to reapply it to the boxes year after year but the main coat is the most important one and I put it on 3 layers with a good dry in between coats. the inside of the boxes that where coated did not degrade at all as the sun did not hit them so it will not need a new coat just the outside. Overall the end result was very impressive for myself, I've never taken a woodworking class ever and It was a near perfect outcome for me. Heavy Duty Planter Boxes for all my gardening needs. I made a last min decision to add in a plastic liner to preserve the wood even longer and stapled that into the frame. it has held up quite well and may need replacing end of 2nd or 3rd year out in the sun. Used a thick moisture wrap plastic with UV protectors in its formula. Lets see what I can grow in them this year! m0use's haus of projects - garden box edition
