The progression of the week has been rather satisfactory with the majority of the seeds germinating promptly and exhibiting robust health. My principal investigative interest for this growth cycle centers on the Epsilon F1 variant. My endeavor is to gauge the yield precisely while concurrently aiming to expedite its flowering period to the maximum possible extent. I will employ hydroponic methods, striving to minimize energy consumption in the process. The overarching ambition here is the production of high-caliber, sustainable cannabis.

Start of week 4. Week 3 went well, plant is nute hungry and leaves are a bit droopy, but buds are filling out nicely. She is getting sticky to the touch and she has a light sweet aroma.

Week 3 of flower has brought some frost along with it. It has also seen the stretching slow right down so she should really go into bud production mode now. I top dressed with some of my high N amendment mix and my flower mix at a 50/50 ratio as she was looking a little pale so I figured a little more N was needed to keep her happy. Plus the flowering mix to side in bud production. I have upped waterings to 17-20 gallons every 2-3 days and she seems to be enjoying a little extra water. I have been spraying her with OMRI fungicides and I haven’t seen any powdery mildew this week 😎 Onward! 😎🍿🍻🌱

The plants continue to grow although slowly. I turned the Gavita back on this week and even at 42 inches it seems to be too much light at full power because although they're getting adequate nutrients, the leaves appear to be showing signs of damage to the chlorophyll pigments. I'd like to splurge and get the adapter and controller so that I can dim the light and slowly increase the intensity to allow for a more gradual photo acclimation period, but I will probably hold off until my next run. I've also considered adding supplemental Co2 to help the plants more effectively tolerate and take advantage of the light intensity, but it seems like a big expense for an uncertain benefit considering all of the other variables that are sub-optimal. Perhaps I'll give those Excellofizz Co2 pucks a try. Someday I'll build sealed grow room with automated Hvac, feeding, and Co2 enrichment but for now I'll soldier on and hope for the best as the flip to 12-12 approaches. More to come next week!

Day 35 of flower. Nothing much has changed from the week before. Did some minor defoliation and watered as usual. We’re on cruise control and just keeping my eye on them daily. 35 days left until harvest! Catch yall on the next update! ✌️🏾

2nd ever grow and first time using Fastbuds genetics. I'm running 3x Six Shooter, 2x Pineapple Express and 1x Crystal Meth. I'll be starting diaries shortly for the other 2 strains as I'm hoping that these plants might be good enough to enter in diary of the month competition. I was supposed to be going with 3x Shooter and 3x Pinapple express but unfortunately even though I germinated 4 of each, only 50% of my seeds sprouted. I know theres only 2 six shooter in the photo but a friend of mine has one spare from a batch hes germinated so has kindly given it to me. The Crystal meth was a free gift seed so I'm running that in place of the dud pineapple seed. I've put them in a little 1x1x1 veg box that I built this weekend. Made it to fit alongside my larger tent. Plan for these girls is to veg them in the box for 3 weeks under the cheap 300w LED with plenty of co2 then move them to the bigger tent where I have 4x 315w CMH lamps. All 3 will be topped and if I have space will go under a scrog. They are actually only 4 days old since sprouting but I do all of my diaries on a Sunday as I get chilled early and have time to take photos and do weekly reports. See you guys next week!

All 3 plants cut and just Ozz remaining to dry and trim. Terrible outcome for #4 as I had to throw more than half of the plant away due to bud rots. I’m still really confused about what happened: the day before harvest I noticed and removed 3 bud rots from the plant - so far so good. All remaining buds were fine, but when trimming I realised every single top was maroon-ish at the base and I could clearly see a start of mold when opening some of them. Although I could clearly confirm what it was with a 30x lens, the white spots were extremely scarce and small (less than 1x1mm each time). It doesn’t seem really coherent with how it should have spread. Nonetheless, I didn’t take risk and threw away any bud where I could identify white mold with the lens, and put aside the ones where I had a doubt in pop corns (the “7g maybe”, cf below) to track the evolution.

These plants are doing way better then my last G14 so far! They love the Recharge and Bushdoctor I gave them yesterday.

So week 7 down and this is the longest they’ve stayed looking this healthy. Finally avoiding under / over feeding them once they’ve used up all the nutes in the soil around week 5/6. This last week just a top dress with a locally sourced 2/8/4 organic amendment. And not overwatering of course, I’m giving them 3/4L every 4/5 days when the pots are properly light. Seems to have done the trick so far. Pretty stress free. Only issue is SP2. Not sure if it’s just a weird plant or I messed it up somehow. (I’m going with plant error as the others are fine). Anyway it just didn’t stretch, at all. Basically no side branches and all it’s pistils are shrivelled up already, looks about a week away from harvest with these puny little buds. Weird little thing. Only keeping it going for shits & giggles as there’s still space for it in the grow. This next week more of the same. Have put swapped the 600w bulb in for the 400w bulb as I try and gradually increase the light. Still in plenty of weed from last grows. Still no money spent on wankstain kids selling me crappy weed. Week 5 for this beautiful plants. They just got fed with Goldleaf feterlizer and I added mycos chum and cal-mag to the mix. They are doing great so far with the feeding schedule and they are stretching really good. The pre-flower is going well they are starting to grow.
