Biochar generally offers a much higher CEC than coco coir, though specific values vary greatly; while coco coir might sit around 40-60 cmol/kg, biochar can range from tens to over 200 cmol/kg, with sources like Acacia wood biochar or even coconut shell biochar often surpassing coco's capacity due to its porous structure, creating significantly more cation-binding sites for nutrients, making it superior for nutrient retention. Needs to be charged similar to coco but at a much higger rate. But shhhh.. It's a secret. Ancient biochar-rich soils in the Amazon basin (known as Terra Preta) provide evidence of carbon stability lasting over 500 to 2,000+ years. Recommend a balanced ratio of key cations, particularly calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and potassium (K). A widely accepted general "ideal soil" cation saturation ratio is approximately 65-85% Ca, 6-12% Mg, and 2-5% K. That's roughly what I give mine. Can even add N in its NH4+ form

week 10 we put in a scrog net on the sleeping beauty and continued lst on the tropicana poison. I also FIM'ed them, again, trying to make them bush out like crazy to each fill a 4x4, 4x8 total

The last two weeks are beginning. I'm getting hungry and are slowly starting to get amber.I'm starting to give only half the nutrients.

Next week i will stop feeding her with grow nutrients, but decreasing (reduce) doses. I am brazilian guy, so i dont write very well and not understand somethings 😅

96 días desde la germinacion. 47 días de floración. Ya estamos entrando a las semanas finales de cultivo y las flores van engordando a buen ritmo. Finalmente, en mayor o menor medida, todas las plantas sufrieron de sobre fertilización y veo 2 factores responsables de esto; 1. me excedí en la cantidad de guano de murciélago (alto en fósforo) con el que fertilice el sustrato y 2. en la mitad de la floración se estropearon mis 2 herramientas de medida, el medidor de EC y PH, al calibrarlos el otro día me percate, y como estamos en cuarentena se me hace complicado adquirir nuevos medidores por lo que suspendí los riegos con abono y he estado regando solo con enzimas y Flawless Finish, voy a seguir así hasta finalizar el cultivo. Debo tener ojo con los hongos, donde vivo hay una humedad muy alta que no baja de 60% e incluso ha llegado (según mi termohigrómetro) a 96%. Eso, feliz cultivo a todxs. 👊

She has also only been given PH-adjusted water so that she is well supplied for the next few days. In 3 days she will get her last feed and then only water for rinsing. Paradise Seeds has conjured up some very fine genetics. Completely resistant to everything, she uses training to make her feel most comfortable. In the end she will give you back twice as much, but even without training she has nothing to hide. Her extreme side shoots are aiming high. Looking forward to another update next week, stay high. First time and the seed has been sitting awhile but great tap root results !

Day 1. Ohh , what a long and painful attempt it was. First seed - failed root Second seed - I was impatient and dig her out, needed like 24 hours more, never made it, had root Third seed - made it, but I started working and in the morning made a football of her ... died. Forth seed - maybe will make it, brown start, could be Growing root up, covered with extra soil ... Will wait.... Have 5th seed soaked too ;))) Later Day 1. She is out !!!! November 24 is first day. September, 4th. The Banana Krumble Plants still stretching. All Plants show small Flowers too The biggest Plant doing very good, she overgrows her Clone ( planted to close) The Other Plant sits in the Middle of the new" Bamboo-Cage" against heavy winds etc. She has a Speedy Cile on the Left, and a Honey cream on the Right All Plants are wonderful Green and love their Outdoor Life I made a Video , to try to show the Plant... shes ... Für Pheno2 (B2) hat die letzte Woche begonnen bei Pheno 1 bin ich mir noch nicht ganz sicher. Hoffe immer noch das mir viel Müsli erspart bleibt. Die Blüten glitzern jedenfalls herrlich und duften sehr streng fast wie ein cheese. Oder evt. extrem überreife Bananen? Gelernt habe ich aus diesem Grow: Temperaturen über 50°C finden die Keimlinge nicht so nett!!! 🙄 Es könnte sein, daß sie es sich bis in die Blüte gemerkt, und aufgrund dessen auch ein paar männliche Blüten gebildet haben.

She’s gone from strength to strength the past 10 days since last update, switch to flower nutes and turned on carbon filter fan to help humidity issue grown around 8 inches , have slight light burn I think , also topped up res with plain water , overal looking healthy my cheap ph pen has gone whack so need to replace or get some calibration solution in the next couple days , any observations appreciated new grower here

More to come once I think this over, and finish up the dry and cure 🌱💨
