11/3 - Today was the first day of week 5 and also the first day I could see a visibly measurable decrease in her water level between check-ins (~12 hours apart). As a result of her drinking so much water in such a short time, the ppms shot up to almost 800. I used straight tap (7.5 pH, 170ppm) to adjust since her pH was also measuring 5.3. I adjusted her with this method until she registered 5.6pH and 670ppm (1.0ec + tap, 500ppm of nutrients). I would prefer for her pH to be a bit higher (5.8, ideally), but I will settle with this for now since the water is back to just touching the basket. Over the last couple days I've been adjusting her LST to help her bush up as much as possible. I can already see the heavy Sativa influence in her compared to her sister in the tent. I can't wait to see what she will throw at me. 11/4 - I wasn't even planning on doing an update today, but I want to note a few changes. Her root bundle is over a foot long and getting more wound up every day. I removed her LST ties in order to take advantage of the ScrOG screen apparatus (see notes below). After lights came back on, she measured 650ppm and had another notable drop in water level. Currently, I am preparing another nutrient solution that closely matches what she is feeding on now. I will be upgrading her to a 5 gallon bucket. I will be aiming for 1ec of nutrients/additives (500ppm + Tap on my meter, Hanna Primo .5 conversion). Tap measured 180ppm, so target ppm would be 680. Later that same day... So I finished upgrading her to a 5 gallon bucket before I actually got done writing the update. Added one photo showing new 5 gallon setup. Solo ScrOG test mk1 - In an attempt to do a ScrOG, but maintain control over each bucket, while still having relatively easy access to each reservoir, I decided to throw together this little contraption. I removed the lowest complete segment of a tomato cage, leaving a short "tail" beyond the lower ring to act as a peg to insert into corresponding holes in the lid. The lower ring is 10" in diameter and the upper is approximately 12" in diameter. Each ring is 11" apart. I would prefer to have a shorter segment, but I haven't worked out exactly how to do this yet. I would prefer to set the screen height at around 6" above the bucket instead of 11". This will have to suffice for the time being while I let my latent conscious work out a solution or one is provided by the community. Above each cage will sit a coated wire fence with grids measuring ~2"x3", as shown in the above picture. 11/5 - Uploaded short video showing Solo ScrOG Apparatus in place. Harvest ended up being a 14 day hang dry as the entire plant. Dry weight between both plants yielded 40 grams only. I did 2 runs of this. The genetics seemed very inconsistent. One plant was very small, and one plant was so large it was almost touching the light at the top of the tent. The bud structure was not great. They did make some pretty pictures though. The smoke is not bad, its smooth and has hints of fruit to it, almost like a mango or papaya. It also smells sweet. It could be used for daytime if you control it correctly. It doesn't hit you hard. Its mellow but lacks that sativa focus.

I'm only going to give her one more week of extra light hours with the LED, and then she can stay outside, where she can transistion into Flowering Naturally. The plant seems to have a lot of it's mothers (Fastbuds GSC) looks to it, and the stem smell when rubbed is fairly similiar too. Por lejos este ha sido mi mejor cultivo hasta ahora, han sido los cogollos más grandes, densos y llenos de tricomas que he cultivado, comparado con el cultivo anterior en el que usé el mismo tipo de planta, está vez fue muy superior. Los motivos de la mejora pueden ser varios, incluidos más luz, ya que en el cultivo anterior solo tuve 480w, ahora fueron 720w, también usé tutores y palitos de madera para crear una estructura firme en algunas plantas, y fueron estás mismas las que tuvieron los cogollos más grandes, así que lo usaré en todas las plantas del siguiente cultivo. Little bit of a delay. Wanted to get climate perfect before the flip. Upgraded ventilation and have the tent dialed in well at 74 degrees and 60% humidity during day and 70deg/ 55% at night. Started a second scrog on Day 42. Nervous about the stretch but hopefully I can maintain it (I wish T5 lights could flower...) Did extensive trimming underneath clearing pretty much anything that will never reach the ceiling of green above it. Day 45 marks last day of Veg Day 46 marks first day of flower AND. HERE. WE. GO.

Week 4 day 22 the ladies stop stretching I had to do important deflation for the under canopy and stems where the light is not reaching, I don’t want popcorn buds. So far so good.

4/8/2023 Week 8- Day 1 of Veg (Day 66 overall) I still have 1, 1/2" of clearance to the net. The Competition will hit the half way point on Wed, that leaves exactly 10 weeks left from Wed. So I decided to go ahead and top off the water by adding 10 gallons to the system today. I added the appropriate Nutes. I am considering 2 plans now that I have decided that I am going to flip to flower on Saturday no matter what. Plan 1, I can evaluate throughout this week and flip earlier than Saturday if needed which would mean draining my system on that day adding week 1 Flower Nutes to the tank and start Week 1 of flower that day. I decided to go before before Saturday I will go ahead and change the water to week 1 flower, the same day I change the lights to 12/12. Then I will wait until the second Saturday so say 10 days if change my lights on Wed and then run Week 2 water/Nutes into Week4 and starting Week 5 change every week for rest of Grow. If I make it until Saturday will keep Week 1 Nutes until Week 3 and then starting Week 4 change every week until done.
