Hello guys, we are starting our third grow, and again with her, cinderella99.
In our first experience and diary we learned a lot. We harvested 8g of dry bud and it was amazing.
In our second experiment we fixed some things and tested new techniques, we harvested 18g of dry bud.
This time we will grow two cinderellas, and possibly compare two training techniques.
The seeds we are using were made from a clone of our latest cinderella, which was reversed with colloidal silver.
-We added a new fan to help thicken the branches.
-The soil was reused, washed and left in the sun for a few days (TDS was measured).
- We use Mikos Mycorrhiza.
In the first week we will differentiate the two phenotypes and compare their growth and development.
This week we just gave them water.
Both phenotypes are developing well and the roots are growing fast.
F01 presenting a slight advantage in relation to the height and development of the leaves.
This week we reduced the light to 18h and started the fertilizers with low PPM level.
Phenotype 01 still with a slight advantage.
We are only using the QB panel and this week we increased the power to the maximum level.
This week we increased the quantity of fertilizers and transplanted it into a 5 liter container.
Next week we will start LST.
The total height decreases due to the transplant.
We use mycorrhizal fungi (Mykos) in the transplant.
Another week, all as planned.
We are maintaining the same amount of nutrients and observing deficiencies and excesses.
This week we also main-lined the two plants, now let's wait for the new growth to reach the 4 node to do the next topping.
We opted for main-ling as soon as possible, as soon as we reached the 6th node, we hope it was not too early.
We have reached the fifth week and noticed that the plants of this cycle are developing more slowly than the plants of our last grow.
We’re using the same setup, however we reuse (We flush it before) the last grow substrate and we think this may be the problem.
The water that ran down the bottom was within the acceptable pH range, 6.22, but the PPM was above 900.
Because of this, in our last watering we gave a lot of "pure" water at 6.2 pH and 74 PPM. After that we water with nutrients, a few days later we noticed an improvement in the leaves and a gain in growth speed.
We will repeat this process on the next watering, measure the ppm and pH of the excess and continue to observe the plant's signs.
A new week.
There are still some problems with the soil, but plants are now growing more vigorously. Phenotype 2 is now larger than 1 and going faster.
This week we did the second topping for main-lining. Now we are going to observe the growth of the new branches and do the training when necessary.
We plant a new cinderella 99 seed in unused inert soil and we will compare the growth with the others to have a control.
This week we had problems with the temperature, which exceeded 32 degrees Celsius during the day.
We think that the temperature combined with the reused soil is causing our plants to grow more slowly than normal.
But okay, let's change our planning and we will extend the vegetative until we have a good structure to make the transition to flowering.
Another week of heat.
We turned off one of the lights to reduce the temperature. The plants are delayed in development and this week has made the situation even worse.
It is already decided that we are going to extend the vegetative.
The runout water pH is within limits and there has been a reduction in TDS as well.
This week there was a decrease in temperature, however, we still have only one light on. The plants gained speed in development and we took the opportunity to supercropping.
F02 has now outgrown F01.
The two plants are now developing more quickly.
We turn on the second light again and we are evaluating the transition to flowering in the coming weeks.
We're still preparing for flowering.
The two plants now have different branches and overall structure from each other due to different methods of LST and HST.
This week's temperature and humidity are better, so we're hoping they will gain growth speed.
Cruise control, this week we only had to do LST and some super cropping.
We have been applying these techniques for a few weeks and it is already possible to notice nodes development, especially at F01.
Next week we will start flowering!
This is our first week of flowering, the plants are already showing faster growth and it is already possible to identify pistils in F1.
Due to the supercropping carried out, it is possible to notice in the last F1 photos a development of the lateral and lower branches, we decided to leave this growth. Although these branches are below the height of the main branches, we would like to see the buds that will grow on them.
Second week of flowering, the two plants have developed well in the past few weeks. F01 already showing pistils all over the branches. F02 on the other hand is a male or hermaphrodite, so it will be cut down.
From now on we will continue the diary with F01 only.
This week nothing special. We stopped training and are just giving water and fertilizers. We're using a lower dosage than recommended by the manufacturers and so far the plant has not shown any apparent deficiency.
We've reached the fourth week of flowering, the buds are developing very fast and you can already feel a little of its aroma. The amount of nutrients still below the recommended and it is now possible to notice a beginning of discoloration in the bottom leaves. In the next watering we'll adjust the dosage and continue to follow any signs of excess or lack of nutrients.
We're watering daily, the flowers are growing and they already started to smell.
The bottom leaves started to yellow faster, however we'll keep the current nutrient dosage and observe the yellowing progression.
Another week ended in cruise control. No surprises, no training. We've reduced the amount of nutrients and we're following the development of flowers and trichomes. The smell is getting more evident.
Another normal week just watching the flowers develop. The lower leaves started to turn yellow, this was the last week with nutrients, from now on just water.
We are reaching the end of this cycle, in the next few days we'll harvest this plant.
This week we notice the low leaves yellowing progression, which indicates that the plant is consuming its nutrient reserve.
We're getting closer to harvest so we've reduced the amount of water and stopped giving nutrients. In the last few days and the leaves started to fall.
There are still many transparent trichomes, so we decided to leave it another week.
Last week. The trichomes are milky with some amber, the smell is very strong. Let's harvest in the next few days.
The bud leaves are pointed upwards and this was unexpected.
We learned more new things in this grow and made some mistakes that I believe reduced a few grams of the expected result.
The first one was to reuse the soil from our last cycle. Even after we washed the substrate we had problems. The plants took a long time to develop and with the training stress we had to extend the vegetative period.
We don't have air conditioning or humidifier/dehumidifier so we had problems with excessive heat and low humidity, which slowed down the growth rate.
The difference can be seen by comparing the buds size in our last diary with the result of this harvest.
But we were still very happy, the flowers were very fragrant and delicious.
Drying and curing went as planned with no surprises and the final weight after cleaning was 9g. We believe that without these mistakes, we would get a better income.
