Merlin Mintz Autoflower is growing great. Unfortunately pest have gotten into the room. So treating her in neem oil this week. I want to get the room treated prior buds forming. I lollipopped the canopy, and defoliated her some. She likely won't be as pretty next week after treatments. But if it solves my issues I am okay with the outcome. Went through a heatwave 6/9 - 6/11 Plants got a little stressed and twisted, everyone pulled through. 6/10/2019 - Installed 240W more LED. Run new panels at half for now. 6/11/2019 - Started using CalMag. 6/12/2019 - Site 1 plant shows signs of improved vitality, growing a very deformed set of true leafs. Plants looking better overall. 6/15/2019 - Switched out soda bottle accumulator with SodaStream bottles. Safely handles higher pressure, cap ensures better closure. Site 5 looks sad. Drooping, one yellowed leaf. Doesn't make sense, same nutrients as all other sites. Maybe underwatering, therefore nutrient deficient. Adjust nozzle angles for better coverage. Check back tomorrow 6/16/2019 - Site 1 starts putting roots into the chamber. Count 8. Strong showing! Site 5 perks up. Diagnosis looks to be correct. Plumbed in drainage pumps. Programming done, just need more flexible tubing. 6/17/2019 - Holy hell. Drove all over the city today looking for silicone tubing for drainage. 3 pet stores, 2 aquarium stores, 2 hardware stores and still no luck. Got some vinyl as a temporary fix and ordered silicone on Amazon. Drainage pumps run for about 15 seconds every ~1 hour. Also picked up a 6" X 24" Phresh Carbon Filter and some 3.5" net trellis that will come in handy in the next two weeks. Planning on upping nutrients by 10% tomorrow to ~700 PPM. Site 1 has dropped so many roots and is growing hairs, expecting explosive growth in the next days. 6/18/2019 - Pulled back on the nutrients to 550 PPM because I noticed some downward curled tips. Do not want to flush in an aeroponic system if I can avoid it. I topped 7 plants and FIM'd 1 that was just barely large enough. Tied down the fan leaves the largest two plants to open up the new growth sites. Plan to allow everything to grown a few nodes and top again, then SCRoG. Hopefully lower new growth foliage bulks in that time and I can sex these plants from trimmings.

In all this was a terrible harvest, and because I also do videos for my YouTube channel I don't update on Grow diaries properly which I will start doing with future grows.... Well on my next harvest will definitely do a better job of documenting my harvest details. But in regards to the Dark Phoenix, yeah not a strain I'm a fan off. At first I kept telling myself that I done a terrible job that's why i don't like it... But I need to keep in mind that I'm not going to like all strains, all strains are different and we all have different preferences. Some people might like the Dark Phoenix, me personally I'm not a fan. It has that earthy taste to it... Hashy/kushy...... Smoking it as I'm typing that's why 😅 and even with a longer cure I doubt it would make much of a difference to make me like it. But in all still a nice smoke, good high from her, the high hits you straight away and keeps you active and creative.... Don't know what else to say about her really, just trying to give you guys the best most accurate review that I can without bringing my own personal thoughts about the strain. I might not like it but its still a good smoke. 👍🏾😎

They seem to have stopped stretching and are now focusing on the buds. Very odd coloration happening on the leaves of the left plant. I'm thinking it's either a calcium deficiency or a manganese deficiency. Either way the buds are developing nicely still. Right is looking great right now, save for a few spider mites I had to squish earlier last week. Nice and frosty at 5th week of flower. If all goes well with both of these girls, I'll be harvesting them at the end of January. I'll definitely give them a bud washing b/c I found mites. Update 1/2/22: okay I've got a few notes to make on the progress as a whole. So after topping right, it seems like she started producing flowering hormones right after. While left focused on stretching for like a week more. Right has fat, compact and frosty buds- shaped like golf balls. Left has spire-shaped buds, not AS dense(still dense though, mind you), and less frost. So I'm thinking left is staggered behind right by about a week. Since this is week 5, we'll be able to tell just how far ahead she is by week 8.

July 26th. 63 days post flip. Flowers are continuing to fatten and swell. Same shots from last week looks like flowers gained about 10% size Difficult to get good shots but it looks like I still have a lot of clear Trichomes. Going to let her go one more week until she hits about 30% amber Trichomes. Going to check every day though. Nothing but water for this living soil for the last few weeks. Been watering by hand last two weeks because setup was under watering. This along with lowering the lights last week from 80% to 60% last week and I noticed leaves are doing a lot better. Smells like straight grape juice mixed with mint at this point. Amazing and absolutely cannot wait to try it. God bless!

Getting closer to harvest. Very excited. I think I will wait until the third week of October to harvest. I gave them the last nutes I am willing as of now. Flush time is about to begin. I was never able to lower my soils ph below 7.

9/27/2018 Been a rainy damp week,cooler nights, no moulds as of yesterday and will update photos shortly if weather permits. Speak of the Devil, this am #2 has two spots of mould,cut ✂️ out,and trashed. All others no mould, #4 is covered with sand it keeps getting blown over!.#2 fading, #1 still Growing nice green very little fade just lower leaves lots of new pistils,#3 all hairs gone brown, and smells like Real old school Skunk!👍not much bud but still have couple weeks of flowering to fatten up and taste of Skunk getting me excited😁 10/02/2018 Week 7, day 5. Rainy days still very little mould just #3 so far. #1 looking fantastic.#2 pistils brownish,#3 pistils all brownish red dont see any New pistils but branches drooping from their weight #4 is still popping New flowers but lots brown all over, hope 2 weeks to finish! But cold is coming soon. #1 no signs of slowing down putting out lots of fresh flowers! Does not mind the cooler weather. Last bit of molasses to super charge microbes in the soil. Hope she comes in at 8-10 weeks👍 53-70 days flowering.

Plante très facile a cultiver et très jolie.ses teinte de pourpre , violette et verte lui donne un look assez unique .La couleur rouge est plus présente et vif depuis qu'elles sont sec Les têtes sécher son un peut flufy et la génétique a tendance a faire des foxtailing durant la pousse . Des arôme un peut raisin un peut bais additionner d'un léger terreux. j'aurai préférer un peut plus moufette mais délicieux tout de même.

Die purps OG macht mir bis jetzt echt Laune beim züchten vor allem das sie jetzt schon wie ein kleines Stinktier riecht obwohl noch gar nix los ist mit Blüte 👌👌💪💪 habe diese Woche den Pflanzen nur zu geschaut beim wachsen gestern(15.07.21) hab ich die ersten 3 Ladys in ihre Endtöpfe gesetzt sollen eigendlich 15L Stofftöpfe von gronest sein passen aber gut 25L rein wenn man sie ausfüllen will mit Erde. Werde kommenden Sonntag weiter fortfahren mit dem Main Laining der ersten 3 Ladys die schon in ihren Endtöpfen sitzen und werde dann wohl vorraussichtlich 2x die Woche Updates dazu hoch laden (ab jetzt passiert ja endlich was) ach ja zum great White ich hab oben keine ml Angabe gemacht weil ich es nicht gegossen habe sondern beim umtopfen auf dem Wurzelballen verteilt habe und das vorher nicht abgewogen habe ich schätze Mal das so ca 2gramm pro Wurzelballen angefallen sind............

Temps are looking to be better the next few weeks and when on a good watering schedule humidity goes above 50%. I've just been bending branches that shoot above the canopy down. I still need to update the measurements of length and distance to plant. Lollipopped on day 11 (Jul 2nd) the amount of lollipopped space down below is about 30 cm(1ft) With this light I think I'll be aiming for a half foot(15cm) to a full foot(30cm) of canopy depth. Getting the top sites as close as I can to 30 cm below the light so I have the top 15 cm of canopy at the most efficient distance for this light. Optic LED recommends a spacing of 30 to 45 cm (1 to 1.5 foot) fixture to tops for flower. anything further away than 45 cm will probably be fluff, but! Anything fluffy will be left on and used for old school bottle pressed hashish. My family, with exception of my girl will have to fight me for that hashish, it's been way, way too long since I had some good hash. Plus there's no way I'm yielding more than a gram or two of hash from larf alone. Plant height is measured from soil level btw, she's about 60+ cm pot included. Moved the light up to 45 cm above the canopy again and I'm already maxing out on vert space, with only about 5-10cm remaining. Switched the light cycle from 14 hours on to 12 hours on to be sure, she's leaning more sativa but she was initiating flower. (Which I'm amazed I could even tell she was initiating bud development) However having her re veg at week 5 would've sucked very much So far the vibes from this run I'm getting is that I'm still nowhere near great or even good. But I am, at least, slowly starting to get there. Recovered from defoliating nicely.
