🌸 Week 9 – Late Bloom / Final Swell This week was all about the final push before flush. Buds stopped stretching and focused on hardening — calyxes swelled, pistils began pulling back, and trichomes turned mostly cloudy with some amber popping in. Frost is heavy and the aroma is loud every time I open the tent ❄️🔥 Plant slowed down drinking a bit, which is usually the sign she’s getting close. Just kept temps steady and RH low to protect the final resin layer. Excited to wrap up and start the flush next week 🌿✨

Week 19 of Vegetative Growth (Transition Week – Pre-Flower Move)** This week marks an important milestone for the Pineapple Upside Down Cake: she was finally moved into the tent where she’ll spend her entire flowering phase. She’s not flipping yet — this stage is all about controlled acclimation before the real show begins. Up until now, she was growing under a 5000K blue-leaning veg light at low wattage, which kept her compact and focused on structural development. Inside the flowering tent, the lighting is completely different: a full-spectrum 3500K panel, warmer, broader, and naturally more stimulating. A spectrum switch like this can easily stress a plant, especially in late veg, so the intensity was intentionally reduced to 300 PPFD to give her a soft landing. Temperature conditions also shifted: about 21°C during the day and 17°C at night, with the light set to 25% power. It’s a cool, stable environment — ideal for a plant adjusting to a brighter and wider spectrum. The second key topic of the week was training strategy. Her growth was accelerating fast, and the debate was wide open: Should she be topped? Should we go for a scrog? Should we prune more aggressively? In the end, the most coherent choice was a clean LST session. Her main branches — roughly ten apexes — were gently bent and opened to create a wider, flatter canopy. This approach keeps stress minimal while giving her a solid architecture to handle the upcoming stretch. Over the next few days, she’ll naturally stand back up, and once she does, her true structure will become clearer. At that moment, we’ll be able to judge whether she needs extra shaping: a light defoliation, selective pruning, or even a late top if it really makes sense. For now, the plan is simple and strategic: • monitor her adaptation to the new spectrum, • watch how she reacts to the LST, • keep the environment stable, • and only move to flowering once she shows full vigor again. Day 9 - These plants are growing immaculately. Dark green, thick, healthy leaves, no stretching, they're growing like an absolute dream. Since removing them from the run-off catching orange cups, they have happily air pruned themselves and are continuing to beast out. 💪 I've only watered them once on day 5 so far. I've been warned by other growers that M3 is very easy to accidentally over water, so I am keeping that on my mind with every check. Day 10 - Noticed some pale spots on one of my seedlings. It's only on the second true leaves of one plant. Gave them a watering with 6.5 pH water Day 11 - Spots on one of my plants still there, taking up a little more space on the leaves. Still only present on the second true leaves of this plant. The plant appears otherwise happy and healthy. All three others are green and mean. 💪 Day 12 - Transplanted these little lovies into 1 gallon pots. Gave a light watering to just the outer ring of the pot with 6.5 pH water. My Step-Veg program for my California Lightworks Solar System 550 has been gradually increased to R80 W80 B99. First time transplanting anything outside of a seedling before, I was embarrassingly nervous. Made sure to get a ton of pictures of each one because I'm Mom af. 😂 Anyway - excited to see how many ladies I can score this round! Please give me at least one! 💜🙏💙 Day 14 - Closing out a beautiful week. I'm still unsure of what is causing the spots on one of my plants. I've gotten many suggestions of pests, but I've spent at LEAST a cumulative 4 hours over the past 2 days with her under the microscope, combing the leaves like an overprotective mother, and I have seen zero suspicious microscopic gang activity. As a precaution, I mixed some neem oil and dish soap and sprayed all the plants at lights out. Storytime was a big hit with the kids. 🤣💜

Day 94. Switched to begin flushing. Two plants at about 50% cloudy 50% clear, two others 80% clear. One weirdo one I didn't bother looking at. Still trucking along. Hoping to chop soon- started some GDPxOG, Gorilla Girl, and Chemdog (all photos) that are sitting in the understory. Smell is okay, sweet but nothing to write home about. First cut plant one needs time to cure. Second chopped plants are going through dry trim process. Looks like I can remove them from the stems tomorrow given today's test. Excited to see where they land in weight

Day 66 : These lady is exploding day each day. From each cola started new growth. And all this pistils are still white, any brown pistils. So imagine the crystals, all cloudy.!!! She likes food and its obvious. I found a spider in the room but let her become part of the ecosystem. These spiders eats all king of predators like white flies, tetranychus, thripe etc. If you are in flower stage and you have bugs , you cant spray nothing, because of moisture. You can add ladybugs (Coccinella) and they will destroy all the insects. Edit (Day 70) : Small buds explode from buds. I watered with juice on this lady because her trichomes are still developing. If you notice some stems inflect , because of the weight of buds. Gains are noticeable when i lift the pot. 2 weeks for sure for BC.

My second growroom is built and the girls have moved in. This new strain combines two well-received parents, Juanita la Lagrimosa (Spanish for "Juanita the Tearful") and Royal Highness, which are themselves genetic hybrids of other precursor strains: Juanita the Tearful from Queen Mother and a Mexican-Afghan blend; Royal Highness from Dance Hall and Respect 13. On and on the strains date back in agricultural time, each new variety with its own unique smell, taste, color, high and medical benefit. However, in the past decade, a goal of all this tinkering has been what some producers are starting to call “Royal Respect” with the soul of marijuana's benefits going toward both body and mind. Painkiller XL is notable for its near-equal representation of 6 percent tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and 7 percent cannabidiol (CBD), achieved by a seed that's 70 percent sativa and 30 percent indica. Cooperatives at medical marijuana dispensaries have been at the forefront of providing CBD-rich cannabis buds and oils for their patients, who undoubtedly appreciate being able to purchase the strain best-suited to ease their particular ailments. This new strain joins others rich in both CBD and THC like Euphoria, Royal Medic, Medical Mass and Danceworld that seek to actually not necessarily downplay cannabis' psychoactive effects in favor of optimizing its healing role, but instead equalize the two. According to the California-based Steep Hill Cannabis Analysis Laboratory, this equalization brings to the cannabis user not just the physically healing aspects, but also the spiritually and psychologically healing benefits as well. There are other strains with very little THC and more CBD than Painkiller XL , but rare are such splendid balances. The new pH-meter showed 8.1 in my regular tapwater, way too high. So now the buds has started to grow again, they were purple earlier and now since she got water and nutes with right pH-level, the buds are turning back to green. And I also added some more nutes to her menu, 2018-02-03 Added some pics of the grow room after I cleaned the floor and putting the girls back in, and also added a video of the reality of a grower having some problems with too high pH-level. Since I'm still a novice growing cannabis I learn new things everyday, and hopefully the next round will be more or less perfect - perfection needs practice.

She is really blowing up! I'm looking forward to having some chery coca-cola sized colas haaha. I will be sure to include a bottle of cherry cola as she gets closer to finishing! Shes got lots of energy still and is very green despite bieng a few weeks into flower! The overall size of the colas and plant itself already exceeded my overall expectation. I highly reccomend this based on the simplicity. She takes a heavy feed well and I havent sadly been able to take the best of care for her as I would of liked to. She is still stretching as far as I know as well. Its pretty impressive to see that in some autos as it's a definitive trait I see in photoperiods. This lady has at least 2 to 3 more weeks I believe. Veg in full swing 07/15/2018 She is a foot tall, normally I would top her now,but it is late in season and hours of light are getting shorter, so gonna let her do her thing. 07/17/2018 13.5" tall almost feeding time. Haven’t done anything, other than start a full dose regiment of nutrients this week. Working on a bigger light situation for my large tent, in the meantime space is limited 😢
