Week 11: Pineapple Poison - The Neverending Leafpocalypse! โ˜”๏ธโœ‚๏ธ Yo growmies! Mother Nature decided to play catch-up with the rain this week, and let me tell you, the Pineapple Poison took full advantage! Over 20mm of rain in seven days, and this girl exploded like a popcorn kernel in a microwave! We're officially at 138cm now, which is basically towering over my raised bed. It wasn't just height, though. New shoots and leaves popped up like green confetti. So, guess who spent most of the weekend playing hairdresser again? This gal! It was a mainlining marathon. As Bobolancetti put it wisely in the comments: we need to start thinking support for those colossal colas. Less foliage also means better wind resistance, which is crucial here in Brandenburg, land of the giant wind turbines. We can't have our Pineapple Princess getting blown over by a rogue gust! The only thing missing? Flowering. Still nowhere to be seen. *insert cricket noise* Listen, this growth spurt is awesome, but the weekly deleafing routine is getting a littleโ€ฆwell, lengthy. My arms are feeling it! Maybe next week, the flowering fairy will finally take pity on us and get this party started? A girl can dreamโ€ฆ. S Stay tuned, growmies, because next week, we'll see if the Pineapple Poison finally decides to show us her flowers (and give my arms a break)! High fives all around!

I'm thrilled to share another exciting update on my flourishing journey. We have now reached week 4 of the flowering phase, and I must say it has been an incredible period of growth and progress. The plants continue to stretch magnificently, and the onset of bud production has been truly remarkable. ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’ช As we progress through this crucial stage, I remain attentive to the well-being of my plants. They have developed a healthy thirst, consuming approximately 4 liters of water every 2 days. The pH level of the nutrient solution stands at a steady 6.11, ensuring optimal nutrient uptake. Furthermore, the TDS range between 1050 and 1150 provides the ideal nutrient balance. ๐Ÿ’งโš–๏ธ๐Ÿ“ˆ In light of the unfortunate hermaphroditism incident experienced by a fellow grower, I have been diligently checking my plants for any signs of similar issues. So far, I'm pleased to report that everything is progressing smoothly, and I haven't encountered any Bananas or seeds (it's hard to check the back sides). ๐Ÿšซ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ” That's it for this week! Happy growing, lads! ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒธ

Week six of flower, the 1/2 way point, I might have been a little heavy handed on the bloom nuites this week back to back heavy feedings has given me some burn edges on one of the plants. The pots are still heavy from this weeks feeding. I put them on drain trays to help dry them out a little faster as I do not want root rot or PM, They are starting to stack up and bulk up so Ime gonna just water this week and check the run off to see where the PPM is I bet its high, so I will chime in in a few days and tell you what's up. I have spoken.

9/2 8 tablespoons of Foxfarm Big Bloom 15 MLS Foxfarm Tiger Bloom 1/2 teaspoon Foxfarm Open sesame per 2 gallons. 9/4 32 MLS of each PH Perfect micro, grow and bloom. Per 2 gallons. She needs to be fed more often. 9/7 Two tablespoons of liquid kelp. 1 teaspoon Foxfarm Open sesame. Fed 1 gallon. I have to give her water daily. If I don't the water will not soak into the entire fabric pot. 9/2 is the end of her first full week in flower. She seems to be doing well. Some lower leaves are turning yellow. Not sure if the yellowing is from the leaves not getting sun or not enough food. I pulled some off and fed Keep pulling off little growth spots here and there. Been leaving 3 bud sites per branch. Every once in a while I hit her up with some PH Perfect. Just to make sure everything is in check. I need to get a ph meter. The PH strips have been getting me by. I think I have been able to stay in the ballpark with them. The feedings need to pick up. So what I am going to do is feed every other day. That will be 3xs a week. Then 1 day off to dry out. 9/6 two days of solid rain. 9/7 Another cloudy day. She was covered for the rain, but her fabric pot soaked up a bit of rain. So on 9/7 I'm feeding Foxfarm Open Sesame 1 teaspoon in one gallon of water. The pot is soaked, but that will not last in the sun. She needs more food than I been giving. After the gallon, I will let her dry a bit. Then give another solid feeding with a good amount of run off. For a moment I was wondering, if I was going to need to support for her in flower. Most of her branches are being pulled down. There is steady tension on them. If I were to cut the ropes, the branches would wip up, like a catapult. Her branches are way to strong to need support. I thought this plant was big last month. Her canopy is so large, I could use her as a big umbrella.

Damn this thing smells like skunky gas I cannot wait to try this gg4 out man!! She's stacking very nicely and the buds are fattening up daily it seems! Top fed her with some roots organic last week and I hit her a small amount of lotus boost (1/4tsp) so hoping she really takes off the next couple weeks ๐Ÿ™ โœŒ๏ธโœŒ๏ธโœŒ๏ธโœŒ๏ธโ›ฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ“›

Day 1 - Soaking in water for 24 - 48 hrs. Once sank I will transplant. Come on terp treez please let this one be the winner ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ’š Day 2 - I'm Impressed the seed sank after 24 hrs this time around. Now decided to place in paper towel, in a bag in the cupboard. Will wait 24 hrs for tap root to emerge and to 2-3cm this time before transplant to final 3gsl fabric pot. Day 3- Tap root emerged about 1-2cm. I have transplanted to final 3gal fabric pot.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ’š I have used, 60% canna terra pro plus, 30%perlite and 10% canna terra potting mix. The potting mix I use only as a transplant medium within its final container, just to allow around the seed a better chance for roots to develop as I found just using terrapro plus they struggle to establish because of how rich it is. After planting I gave a light pH water only and covered with jug. I find this helps retain humidity on the little seedlings. Day 5 - seedling finally emerged ๐Ÿ™Œ so happy to see that the 2nd out of 6 terp treez has actually germinated ๐Ÿ™Œ woohoo. Light water pH balanced. Day 6- showing nice healthy growth, definitely in competition with the sssc auto I have going there both nearly identical growth rates ๐Ÿ˜‹โœŒ๏ธ๐Ÿ’š PH balanced water only still this week.
