Defoliated a little bit this week, because the plants were getting really bushy. Froze the defoliated leaves so I can add them to my smoothies. Also added some bone meal since the plants are definitely flowering now and could use the extra phosporus. Stress killer (back) is still stretching as is to be expected seeing as I probably set her back for a week or so by nearly killing her. Gorilla (front left) is looking really pretty but extremely bushy. Solomatic (front right) is looking fine but small.

Día 18. Estoy en la 3ra semana de crecimiento. Apliqué HST en las dos ramas altas para poder igualar la altura con las otras dos. Por el momento viene todo en marcha. Solamente hubo un poco de stress con hojas un poco arrugadas por exceso de nutrientes. Así que hoy rebajé la solución con un poco de agua. En 3 o 4 semanas debería estar en condiciones de cortar los esquejes que voy a necesitar para el sistema completo. Inicialmente voy a usar un módulo que ya tenía armado que hice con un cajón plástico. Ese es para 4 esquejes y la madre. Pero es muy chico para el espacio que tengo. Así que inicialmente usaré este y luego armaré uno para 9 o 7 plantas. Veremos cuan cómodo queda con 5 plantas por ahora, porque quizá prefiero hacer 7 plantas cómodas y no meter 9 y después no poder manejar el espacio. La idea es que la madre vaya al medio y los esquejes alrededor. Día 21. Rocíe la planta con tierra de diatomeas como preventivo. Sigo aplicando HST para lograr que las ramas bajas tomen protagonismo,y ya que van a ser los esquejes que use. De todos modos estoy viendo en el crecimiento que la genetica no está bien estabilizada. Los bancos de semillas argentinos, hasta ahora han sido decepción en cada siembra que hice, por lo cual no me sorprendería que esta también lo sea. Estoy analizando la idea de pasar a floración la planta así cómo está en el indoor grande y arrancar con una genética europea que tengo guardada para la próxima. Porque correr riesgos innecesarios me costaría mucho tiempo. Por el momento mantengo la solución, ya que en crecimiento la suelo hacer durar 10 o 15 días. Principalmente cuando la planta tiene menos de 4 semanas. Esta semana que arranca voy a definir que hago con esta genética. De paso subo un video con la configuración casi terminada del indoor. Pero cuando esté funcionando se va a entender mejor.

Day 7 - 21/09/23 🌳 OG Kush is growing well. a nice healthy shade of green, and a decent height too. although the first leaves are a little odd looking to me. maybe its a phenotype thing? 🤔 Day 10 - 24/09/23 ok so i saw this growth on my OG Kush, which was not there last night... mold? mycelium? what the hell is this? 65W LED hanging at 14" running at 80%, 18/6 light schedule. Just using water to keep substrate around seedling hydrated. roughly using around 200ml every 24hrs.

Grow them out a little. topped, tied down. defoliated. Plant now has 8 colas. feeding low PPM / EC as a flush from Veg - PreFlower

started with 15 liters of nutrient-mix this week. I need exactly one third of the recommended amount of fertilizer to get an EC of 1.4 mS/cm. pH was 6.3. Drain of the StrawberryAK had an EC of 2.2 and she smelled super strong when i took her out of the tent. An intense sour strawberry bubblegum scent. The Humboldt Gelato smelled als very good, the typical mouthwatering Gelato smell. Drain had an EC of 1.7mS/cm. The CBD Chronic also had an EC of 1.7mS/cm. Compared to the two other plants, she wasnt smelling very strong. Good old lemon and wood.

it is healthy and the buds grow vigorously. so far it has withstood wind and weather. it grows in a 1 litre pot. it is more of a minigrow. but it performs very well for the conditions.

Day 8 - First official day of veg and both ladies are looking good and on schedule for a couple of changes. Nutrients: 10ml of Hydro A & Hydro B were added to both buckets (10L of water in each bucket) PH: the Milwaukee PH controller was set to work - starting at a PH of around 7.6 - 7.8, it slowly worked down to a perfect 6.0 over about 50minutes. Lights: The lights were readjusted to be 60cm from the seedlings who are all between 8-10cm tall and the intensity of the lights were increased to about 70% brightness. Day 9 - Both plants are taking nicely to the adjustments and I am happy with the progress. Temp and humidity are stable and PH is controlled. Day 11 - The second nodes are clearly visible today for both Chong and Max which would hopefully put them at 3 nodes by the end of the week - right on schedule! Day 13 - The ladies seem to be showing some signs of heat stress, so thinking about adjusting the lights after their period of dark today because they are due to be adjusted tomorrow anyway for the new week of veg

Another good week of growth has passed, +20cm (+8 inches) and counting I noticed that the 3 plants react different to the darkness at night, one of the 2 tallest is the only one to bend the leaves downwards during the night, while the others keep leaves straight. Plant 1 = 88cm (34") Plant 2 = 86cm (34") Plant 3 = 66cm (26")

The garden has officially shifted gears! This week, the "stretch" finally kicked in, and we are seeing the very first pompons (pistils) appearing on all the plants. To support this massive transition, I finally got around to making my WCA to provide the calcium boost needed for these new flower sites. The Game Plan The Stretch is Real: Both plants have jumped in height this week. The Super Boof (grey pot) is stretching with a lot of vigor, while the Strawberry Banana (brown pot) is filling out into a beautiful, wide bush. WCA Production: I spent time roasting eggshells and infusing them in vinegar to create my Water-Soluble Calcium. This is the perfect timing because the plants need calcium right now to build strong cell walls for the developing buds. LST Refinement: I’m continuing to adjust the ties. Now that the stretch is happening, I’m guiding the new growth to maintain an even canopy across the entire garden. The First Flowers: Seeing those white hairs (pistils) popping out everywhere! It’s the official start of the flowering journey. Grower’s Note: The synergy between the Biochar in the soil and the new WCA is going to be huge. The plants look "hungry" for minerals right now, so the timing of this KNF input couldn't be better. KNF Recipe: Water-Soluble Calcium (WCA) (Adding this to my journal for anyone following the KNF path) How I made it: Roasting: I took clean eggshells and roasted them in a pan until they turned a nice toasted brown. This "unlocks" the calcium. The Reaction: I put the shells in a jar and added brown rice vinegar (1:10 ratio). The fizzing was intense—that’s the calcium being extracted by the acid! Fermentation: I’ll let this sit for about 7 to 10 days until the bubbling stops and it's ready to use.

She's looking thin, not much foliage but the flowers are there, looks a bit like the first time I grew blueberry cheese auto.

Flowering day 19 since the time change to 12/12. Hey all together 😀. This week she has developed beautifully ☺️. I poured it 3 times with 1.2 l this week. Tomorrow I will add the 2 g GHSC Powder Feeding Bio Bloom because the first blossoms are coming :-). I checked all the leaves thoroughly for pests or diseases and everything is fine ☺️. Next week I'll look at your roots as soon as the coconut is completely rooted. As every week, the tent was cleaned and the entire technology checked. The humidifier was also refilled every day 👍. In the next few days I will remove the bottom shoots so that the energy doesn't end up being wasted in the small popcorn buds. I wish you a lot of fun with the update. Hello present and future growmies! Welcome to the start of week 9 for Queen Citronella. First things first, please go and check week 8, I update daily and the week is now complete. Day 57: Her majesty is parched and so overgrown in her space that I've decided to give her a haircut. It will hopefully make her easier to move about too. I've fertigated 10l today and performed LST adjustments and significant defoliation. Made a little collage to show the training I did. Day 58: Tried to colour correct photos. Any good? Day 60: Disaster! SOMETHING has gone horribly wrong! The Queen is unwell and now I shall try to figure out why. It seems like heat stress but I don't get how. Alright I think it is heat stress but I am not sure how, the temp hasn't gone above 26 degrees to my knowledge. Two things have changed this week first my house has been about 3 degrees warmer, and second I switched the main tent to 20 hours. I wonder if the additional time and the extra heat in the house has caused it to get too high. I have opened a flap at the side of her tent, and I am going to drop the light in the main tent down to 19h. As well as this I am now leaving a window open when the lights are on. Hopefully I can stop it getting worse but it is all over the plant. :( Okay soI think I have caused nute tox/shock - specifically I think what happened was an accidental big overdose of CalMag raising the EC too high. These symptoms came on way too fast to be a simple deficiency or lock out, and the PH wasn't so far off as to cause these issues. I've treble checked and the temp hasn't exceeded 26 degrees, nor dropped below 17. I flushed her through with PH water today approx 40 litres - until runoff was clear and correct PH. I am not going to nute her for a day or two. Day 62: I have ordered the queen a new tent. 75 x 75 x 200. She's still asleep at the moment but I'll photo her later. She's really taken a hammering from, what I now believe is, nutrient toxicity. Day 62: Her majesty is looking much revived compared with the last few days. I THINK she will be ok. I've made a video assessing the damage. Ouch. Sorry your majesty, please not off with my head! Day 63: Alright I have a new tent for her majesty arriving next week and I've new airflow for the main tent. She seems to have recovered from the burn and is stretching again. End of week summary: First big mistake and first serious issues for Citronella. Sorry about that. However she has now recovered and is growing again. I cannot undo the damage but I think I have halted any further damage. Let's see what happens next week.

Week 13 was harvest time for two of the Bruce Banner plants 🌸✂️ #2 and #3 were clearly ready, with mostly milky trichomes and some amber, so I decided to finish them this week. Both plants were taken out of the tent on Thursday and placed into complete darkness for 48 hours. Due to the heavy buds, they had to be secured to the ceiling, as they would have tipped over otherwise. After the dark period, both plants were cut on Saturday and hung to dry 🌿 Only the large fan leaves were removed at harvest, while the smaller leaves were left on to ensure a slower and more even drying process. Bud structure is very dense and compact, with strong resin production and loud terpenes already noticeable at harvest. Aroma is a mix of chemical, citrus and sweet notes, very typical for Bruce Banner. Bruce Banner #1 stayed in the tent this week, as she was still slightly behind in maturity and needed more time to finish. Environment (before harvest): Temp ~24°C RH ~50–55% Overall a very smooth and controlled harvest week. Plants finished strong, and the quality looks very promising going into drying and curing ❄️🌱

Got the scrog net added and super cropped. Probably let them go another week then flip to flower. It's been a pretty great experience with flora flex pH has been stable haven't needed to use the pH controler. Top off with 5 gallons of water every few days. I do over fill the buckets a bit they come up to the bottom of the net pots. So stick around the fun is only beginning

The Tropicanas are forming some nice Buds. This week the change to Plagron Nutrition and a higher EC was made. Plants are constantly beeing defoliated due to little space :D

Two weeks have passed since the flip. Plants haven’t started flowering yet, but they’ve already shown their sex. The height distribution turned out quite interesting, almost like it was planned. Weekly growth: #4 – 55 cm – getting pretty close to the light already #3 – 24 cm – perfect size for my box, exactly what I wanted #6 – 7 cm – solid progress compared to last week Overall everything is stable. I’m doing light defoliation, removing 2–3 leaves per day where they block light from growth tips. I’m not going for heavy defoliation — after reading and watching a lot, I’d rather keep the leaves. There’s also an opinion that around week 3 you shouldn’t remove too much anyway, and in general aggressive leaf stripping isn’t a great idea, partly because of mold risks. Why mold? Because external humidity isn’t as important as internal humidity inside the buds. The plant constantly releases moisture through transpiration all the way until harvest. If you remove most of the leaves, where does that moisture go? Exactly — into what’s left: buds and small inner leaves. That can create near 100% humidity inside dense flowers. You can drop RH in the room all you want, but inside the buds conditions for mold can still be ideal. Add a strong day/night temperature swing reaching the dew point, and it becomes a perfect environment for mold. So I’ll keep most of the leaves, just thinning enough to improve light penetration both from the top and bottom, without going overboard. Gradual defoliation also causes less stress compared to doing a heavy lollipop in one go. This isn’t a commercial farm with 1000 plants — we can afford to be precise and take off a few leaves every couple of days. Nothing more to report for now. Plants are still stretching — expecting the first “buttons” any day now.
