Blueberry Muffin – Pheno B | Week 3 The Beautiful Oddball Welcome back to another week of the 8×8 Adventure, where twelve cultivars are being documented individually under a 12/12-from-seed schedule. Every phenotype receives its own dedicated diary, allowing us to follow each plant’s journey independently and observe how unique expressions emerge even between sisters sharing the same genetics. This week brought one of the largest environmental adjustments of the entire project so far. The lighting intensity was increased significantly, moving from approximately 370 µmol/m²/s PPFD to 700 µmol/m²/s PPFD at canopy level. Alongside the increase in light, nutrient strength and water consumption also rose to support the accelerating growth rate. The response throughout the room has been overwhelmingly positive. Stable environmental conditions allow the genetics to tell their story without unnecessary interference. ⸻ Blueberry Muffin Pheno B While her sister has spent the last week showing near textbook development, Pheno B continues to be the plant that makes me stop, smile, and ask questions. Not because she is perfect. Because she isn’t. And that is exactly why I like her. From the beginning this phenotype has carried a slightly unusual appearance. Certain leaves developed differently, growth patterns occasionally looked a little unconventional, and she never quite followed the same path as her sister. Yet despite all those quirks, she continues moving forward. Week after week. Healthy. Steady. Determined. Looking at her now, it is clear that she is gradually growing out of many of those early abnormalities. New growth is arriving cleaner, stronger, and more structured than before. The center of the plant is becoming increasingly organized, with fresh leaves stacking tightly around the apical growth tip. She remains slightly smaller than Pheno A, but she is far from struggling. In fact, she appears to be finding her rhythm. The canopy has expanded noticeably during the week, internodal spacing remains compact, and the plant is beginning to develop a stronger framework that should support future growth. One of the most interesting observations is how the newer leaves continue to improve with every passing node. The plant seems to be correcting itself naturally, producing increasingly normal foliage as it matures. It’s almost as if she needed a little extra time to figure out who she wanted to become. And honestly, those are often the plants that end up teaching us the most. While Pheno A currently wins the beauty contest, Pheno B wins the curiosity contest. Every time I look at her, I want to see what she does next. ⸻ Measuring Light: Why We Use a Quantum Sensor One of the biggest changes this week involved increasing PPFD levels throughout the room, so this feels like a good opportunity to talk about one of the most useful tools available to modern growers. The Dr. Meter Quantum Sensor To monitor light levels, I use the Dr. Meter Quantum Sensor, a tool designed specifically to measure Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density (PPFD). Rather than measuring brightness the way our eyes perceive it, a quantum sensor measures the photons that plants can actually use for photosynthesis. This is an important distinction. Plants don’t care how bright a light looks to us. They care about how many usable photons are reaching the leaf surface. A quantum sensor allows growers to measure exactly that. Instead of guessing whether a plant is receiving too little or too much light, we can collect real data and make informed decisions. Why PPFD Matters PPFD tells us how many photosynthetically active photons reach a square meter every second. Measured in: µmol/m²/s This information helps answer important questions: * Is the plant receiving enough light to maximize growth? * Is the light intensity limiting development? * Are we approaching levels that could cause stress? * Can nutrient levels be increased safely alongside higher light intensity? This week, measurements showed the plants were capable of handling significantly more light than they were receiving previously. That gave us confidence to increase intensity from approximately 370 PPFD to 700 PPFD, while simultaneously increasing nutrient strength. The plants responded immediately with stronger growth and improved vigor. This is one of the biggest advantages of using a quantum sensor. Instead of guessing. We measure. Then we adjust. And finally we observe how the plant responds. ⸻ Looking Ahead The coming week should reveal even more about Pheno B’s personality. Key areas of interest include: * Continued normalization of new growth * Branch development * Structural differences compared to Pheno A * Response to increased PPFD * Overall vigor and growth rate She may not be the largest plant in the room. She may not be the prettiest. But she is quickly becoming one of the most interesting. This week has seen a bit of stretch but theyre all hitting flower nicely opening the tent right now makes my heart sing. They all look so healthy and happy to me. This is hands down the deepest green Ive managed to get my plants compared to past grows I think the blurple has played a role in that and maybe from starting silicone from the moment they popped. Im glad I took a few clones from these before I flipped just hoping the clones pull through as these are some happy ladies in my opinion.

Tester FBA2504 – 42 Fast Buds | Harvest Report Harvest time! This Fast Buds tester delivered beyond expectations. The plant developed a compact and productive structure with dense, rock-hard buds absolutely drenched in trichomes. The central cola stands out, but the side branches didn’t fall behind—each one stacked with sticky, frosty flowers. The aroma is intense and unmistakable—sharp, chemical-like notes that hit hard and linger in the room. A truly powerful scent that hints at strong effects to come. Oh my. Last week I was talking about N deficiency, but in reality she was perfect! The real big problem was my pH pen, that was broken, and when I thought I was giving a pH 6.5 solution to my plants, in reality the pH was a lot lower than that (maybe pH 4). That's why her leaves all started getting yellow! Runoff PPMs right now, after the feed, are 3100 lol. I decided not to flush her, but I'll give just water until that value decreases a little. Her flowers are bigger, and smell more and more, day after day, of fruit. I LOVE HER. But what a pity for those burned tips! I also have some updates on the clones. One of them created 1 single root, haha, but YAY, I'm so happy about it. That clone was fast! The other two are still there, but my fingers are crossed. There's a video of the clone after all the photos.

GMO × Triangle Mints BX – Week 15 Veg | Approaching the Solstice She’s turning into a proper outdoor plant. 130cm and the canopy has filled out into a dense, even structure with tops stacked all the way across — the LST work from earlier in the season is clearly written into how she looks right now. Health is solid, colour is deep green throughout, no concerns. Sitting at 17 hours of daylight right now, right up against the solstice peak. She’s making the most of every hour — water consumption holding at 5L per feed, and she’s clearly using all of it. Nutrients unchanged: CANNA Aqua Vega 4ml/l, CalMag Agent 1.1ml/l, Aptus Regulator 0.1ml/l. pH 6.2, EC 1.5 mS/cm. The coming week is looking like the best of the season — mostly dry, temperatures pushing up to 30°C on Tuesday, a touch of rain expected Thursday night, then back to warm and settled. Winds light throughout. If she keeps this pace through the solstice and into early July she’s going to be a serious plant by the time she flips. Updates every Sunday. Stay tuned. 🌿

Ok had a lot going on this week with various issues affecting plants in flower tent but managed to take few pics and keep u guys updated on this grow feel free to comment or give me any advise I'm a newby out of his debth

Flowering week 11.

Esta variedad suele ser poco productivas pero una pasada para fumar o hacer cualquier tipo de extracción. La Blue Gelato 41 todo fue para ice y la verdad que un sabor increible! Una buena genética farmers!🍁

This week, I continued growing 4 WestCoast OG plants. The plants are feeling better day by day and have reached 78 days since planting the seeds. The care routine included: Watering every other day, 1 liter per plant. The water solution contained flowering fertilizer NPK 3-5-8 (10 ml/L) and organic super-concentrate fertilizer (5 ml/L). I noticed that the flower buds on the closer plants have significantly enlarged. The further plant, which was lagging in flowering, has caught up and now reaches a height of around 45 cm, with small 10 mm diameter flowers. One interesting observation - I found a mutation on one of the leaves, from which a small flower is growing that is not increasing in size. Next week, I plan to: Continue watering the plants with the same fertilizer solutions. Stop spraying the leaves to avoid the risk of mold on the buds. Closely monitor the temperature, as it's starting to drop outside and the room is not insulated. If the temperature falls below 18°C, the plant growth may slow down. Overall, the plants continue to develop at a good pace, and I expect to be able to harvest in 10-14 days.

I have spent the week bending and tightening all the bondage straps to maintain the even canopy I'm after and allow for maximum footprint. I expect during this week she will get a net slung over her as I am running out of pot circumference to keep using ties. I need to work it all outwards now . She got a spray of boom boom spray this week after the heaviest HST session. It's a Foliar biostimulant that helps the plant recover from stress.. mixed 100ml to 0.5ml of boom spray and applied at lights on Still feeding just plain untreated tap water. About 1l a day ATM. Lights are at 60% and environmental figures are spot on. This is a super healthy plant . I am very very impressed with biotabs as a product. So easy ..

1/28/24 - Day 83 - Here we are on day 83 and the trichomes are looking good. I bet one week, if not two weeks before I start to flush with water. There are some photos of the Trichomes a couple of weeks ago and then again today. 1/31/24 - Day 86 - The buds are starting to get FAT and grow outward. Tons of new buds coming from the buds. Sounds werid but the buds are growing buds now. The smell is out of this planet strong. Im looking forward to the next couple of weeks!

Critical Purple Kush was an effortless grow. The plant beside her got spider kites but they didn't like that CPK so much. She had a few show up on lower leaves, never any webs. I treated for them twice and they never resurfaced.

Hallo Leute, diese Woche gab es kein Wurmtee, da sehr wenig davon entstanden ist. Das lag sicher an den vergangenen kalten Tagen und Nächten. Erste Maßnahme: Wurmbox anfüttern, feuchtes Papier und leicht durchmischen, damit die Mikrobiologie beim Zersetzen Reste den Würmern behilflich ist - s. Video 1. Ansonsten ist die Lady erwartungsgemäß in ihrer letzten Phase angekommen, was die herbstliche Färbung anzeigt. Die Pflanze zieht Nährstoffe aus ihren Blättern. Eine Vielzahl der Pistillen sind bereits orange-braun gefärbt - die Ernte ist nicht mehr lange hin - s. Video 2. Es ist jetzt schon ersichtlich, dass die Buds um 1/3 geringer sind, als bei dem Grow davor mit 30 Litern. Das wird auch mein künftiges Set-Up für die Bio Hanferde von Sonnenerde - 30. Die Luftfeuchtigkeit und Temperatur sind weiterhin mit 52% und 23 Grad stabil. Die Leistung der Lampe habe ich für die restlichen zwei Wochen auf 60% erhöht, um die Entwicklung der Buds zu pushen. Der Geruch ist zurückhaltend, aber wehe, man kommt versehentlich an die Blüten, explodiert es förmlich in einer süßen und cremigen Note - unaufdringlich gut. Die Trauermücken sind erledigt und entwickelte sich nicht zu einer größeren Problematik. Ich bin weiterhin zufrieden mit der Gelato Auto. __________ Hi everyone, there was no worm tea this week as very little was produced. This was likely due to the recent cold days and nights. First step: feeding the worm bin, adding damp paper, and mixing it slightly to help the microbiology break down scraps for the worms – see Video 1. Otherwise, as expected, the lady has reached her final stage, indicated by the autumnal colors. The plant is pulling nutrients from its leaves. Many of the pistils have already turned orange-brown – harvest isn't far off now – see Video 2. It’s already apparent that the buds are about 1/3 smaller than in the previous grow using 30 liters. That will be my future setup for the Sonnenerde organic hemp soil – 30 liters. Humidity and temperature remain stable at 52% and 23 degrees. I’ve increased the lamp power to 60% for the remaining two weeks to push the bud development. The scent is subtle, but if you accidentally touch the flowers, it literally explodes with a sweet and creamy note – unassumingly good. The fungus gnats are gone and didn't turn into a major issue. I’m still very happy with the Gelato Auto.
