First time running hydroponics. And I’ll say it’s pretty easy although running into problems with ph rising cause of not using ro water so it started getting a potassium deficiency. I think I’m prepared for next run.

At the beginning of this week, I have been fighting the gnats, which are less and less now. Just some watering and gradually lowering the light and going to full power. The Orange Hill Special has been filling out great and I must say, she is a pretty plant. With some manual bending and super cropping, I'm bending the longer stalks sideways and we are off. What I actually do is more of an intuitive hybrid between mainlining (where I bend the whole plant 90 degrees at the third week), LST (where I bend branches outward slightly, without tying), HST / Super crop (where I bend the stems 90 degrees with the clips or manually), after which I keep bending outward to SOG and, put the net over to end in SCROG. This same method gave me the canopy in my prize-winning Gelato 33 grow. Check it out if you haven't seen it, it was my first experimental accident that led to beta test of Super Soil mixture 0.7, now we are at Alpha version 1.00 and testing great so far if I say so myself. I haven't seen such lush greens in my own grows, only outdoor. They seem uber-healthy and resilient, with very sturdy stems and leaves. Way more resilient than previous strains I tested in the beta soil. The light is performing, the natural color of it makes everything pop. Mars Hydro has a winner with the SP-3000. Halfway through this week, I took the clips out, AND...... we switched them to go into flowering. After a day the stretch is already visible. I had to bend them again after a couple of days. Now we have almost a tent filling foundation for a maximum result canopy of buds. I was wanting to amend the soil with flowering additions (see recipe in yellow image), but I'm holding it off for two reasons. A/ The leaves are still so green and lush, I think there is an abundance of nutes. B/ @Haoss mentions his suspicions on his OHS grow (@#CannapediaProGrowersCup Orange Hill that very sadly went hermie on him) that nutrition in this phase could have had an influence, after asking what happened to him. I would have loved to see that grow to full harvest. But it makes me a bit cautious. if Haoss (whom I consider to be one of the star growers here) couldn't prevent this, what chance have I? I'm waiting until the girls start asking for nutrients. They'll show me what they need in their own time. For now this soil is the shizzle (also quite literally) and Im happy with how everything is going. I remember much more hassle and steering in the last grow. This grow, even the Gorilla runt seems happy. I now water them 3 liters of water / Perma tea mixture every 4 days, every 3rd watering I don't do the tea. This makes for fewer gnats and this soil seems to hold water nicely, also due to the hydro corn. What I like is there is always some unforeseen circumstance, a tilt of the tables, some battle to be fought which delivers in big harvests or, in worst case, no harvest at all. It makes it more exciting, when your heart is at stake, we pour a lot of love and attention in the ladies. So with hopes, but not too high, we go into flowering. The long-awaited cycle of one of my favorite strains, which I sometimes grow again, is coming to an end. This interesting and unique terpene profile drives you crazy time after time; it's quite a powerful plant that can quickly calm and soothe you. Incredibly beautiful in the final stages of flowering, it changes color to a truly beautiful hue, and the leaves become wildly colorful. Be prepared for your carbon filter to be unable to contain its scent; it's very strong and fragrant. Stone flowers await us, and we'll see.

Harvest time

The Sensi Seeds Research breeding project has created eleven cannabis seed varieties. How? By combining new cannabis cultivars with a selection of strains from their long-established cannabis gene bank. For the first time in thirty-six years, they are opening the doors of the Sensi Seeds Research and Development Department. Week #5 Plants are doing well, there’s not much to do except to let them grow. Roots are filling the pots, I might transplant them in their final pots (18l) during next week. The Mars-Hydro SP250 has done a very good job during these 5 weeks. The plants need more space to grow, I will have to switch on the HID next week to give some more light coverage. Giving them a light feed during the week using Cellmax BIO 8-2-2 (not listed) and not Organic Grow ☝️ In my quest for plants science I have found something interesting about the Dr Cleve Backster 😊 but apparently controlled experiments that have attempted to replicate Backster's findings have failed... weird isn’t it ? 😳 (I’m looking for a job in the Cannabis industry as Master Grower, Mineralogist, Quality Control)

Done a tiny bit of defoliation. Have not spotted any signs of hermy yet, will see how we go next week. Good week again. Plants living the light, getting around 900-1200 ppfd according to Photone app.

This strain looks absolutely amazing. I ended up keeping the other purple punch going . I didn’t continue it in the diary . I had intended to kill it because of the way it looked. I guess it had wrinkly leaf syndrome . It ended up turning out 🤩. 1000 grams from two plants. The smell from them while harvesting was overwhelming.

End of Week 2 of Flowering Report: This week, the plants continued their rapid stretch, and I've been watering them daily with no runoff. Day 11: I reset the rockwool with 50 liters to thoroughly re-soak the medium and maintain optimal conditions. The light intensity was also increased to 75%, giving the plants more energy as they settle into the flowering stage. R.I.P. The Runtz plant was removed from the tent this week as it was too small and wasn't keeping up with the others. The Oreoz is also lagging behind, and if it doesn’t show better development by next week, it will likely be removed as well. The increased light and regular watering have kept them happy and vigorous as they continue to develop!

WEEK 8 Finally calibrated my ph meter and get everything sorted. Ph is now 5.5 but it should slowly building up to 6.0 I lightened the feeding because of some signs of overfeeding but nothing too dramatic. Very strong citrusy smell. One of the plants is incredibly frosty for it's age and all buds look pretty dense so I can't wait what is gonna happen over next few weeks. Giving them pretty much max recommended dose of CANNA BOOST so I hope it's gonna give me some good results in terms of taste and smell. :) Oh and I finally got new 600W bulb

I loved 😍 He consumido 3860ml de agua de riego en los últimos 7 días, un 20% más que la semana anterior. 03/04/21 Mi vida continúa en paz... mi brotes florales son cada día más grandes, mis ramas son muy fuertes y soportarán todo el peso, soy chaparra como mi abuela Kush y fuerte como mis parientes Haze. Agradezco a mi jardinero que no me atara las ramas, y me dejara formar mi figura modelándola sólo con la luz... I loved! 😍... yo tengo un sueño... por la liberación de todas las ramas atadas y torturadas!! Hoy me han hecho un riego muy sabroso y nutritivo con un bio preparado de frutas y minerales con Microorganismos Eficientes (MMA, BAL, vitaminas, aminoácidos, Ca, Mg, Fe, Cu, B, Si...) al 1,5%, aderezado con un 1% de Humato de leonardita PK y endulzado con un poco de melaza... PH: 6,62, EC: 1.35. 1000ml. 05/04/21 He consumido mi último riego, mi cultivador parece satisfecho conmigo, dice que el color obscuro y la salud de mis hojas es especial, pues se diferencian mucho de las de mis compañeras de carpa, a pesar de que comemos muchas veces lo mismo. Aunque todavía tengo las hojas manchadas del rociado con azufre de la semana pasada, ya no me importa, porque ha hecho desaparecer el oidio y las arañas, y poco a poco se irán limpiando, además, mis hojas no han vuelto a mostrar síntomas de carencias o excesos de nutrientes. Hoy mi cultivador me ha hecho un riego suave sólo con agua y un poco de melaza, que me ayudará a asimilar los nutrientes que se han quedado en mi sustrato de riegos anteriores. PH: 6.53. EC: 0.55. 900ml. Still deciding , did a bunch clones and now i will see with are the strongest to keep So the first ones find them selfs in a new pot 😆 for now we have 1 CS phenotype #1 with i decided to top , 2 CS phenotype #3 the hulkeberry one , 1 CS phenotype #2 the fruity smell one , 1 Kushi ( wthis is not on the list but still there😆) and 2 TP phenotype #2 I gave them 0,5L water with a TDS of 380 just to help with. The transplant.
