Hello. This is the end of week 9 and the beginning of week 10 of veg. Got them outside and repotted. They look much happier... Look at the last pictures to see they have grown a few inches in a few days. I put a heat sink in this year. 8 - 5 gallon containers were put under the table and are supposed to trap the heat and release it slowly. You can see the white containers behind the plants under the middle of the table. I'll take them out when it gets warmer at night. The soil is 5 gallons of SunShine Mix #4 ( 70% Moss) and 5 gallons of compost from my household composter. I mixed them together. I surrounded the root ball with the SunShine Mix neutral ph soil, so the root ball doesn't get burnt by the hot soil. The roots will grow into the mixed soil when they are ready. Lots of light in there with the new window film I've installed. Plants have a tangy smell to them. OK. Be Great. Chuck.

This week went by quick but they grew a lot! I didn't do anything different than last week but just increase their water intake from 1L to 1.5L and then followed my same nutrient regiment. I use the Fish Poop then the next day I just water. Then I use the Real Growers Soil Recharge and then I just water the next day. Then I use the MaxiGrow and then I just water the next day. Then I use the Stash Blend and then I use just water the next day. You can pH (using soil) between 5.5 and 6.5 so I always pH my Nutrient Solutions at 6.2 and use my pH'd water which is a 6.8 (7.0 for soil) but I pH my H20 after adding my Nutrient Solutions. I use my H2O that's always 65 degrees! I find it's better and easier to have a bucket with pH'd water ready to go at all times. It makes it easier when watering and feeding your plants especially if you have a few to care of!

Plants took a tumble while I was at work and came home to everything laying on the ground like a robbery. I also learned that my plants wasn't burning but in fact when the tree hit the deck the 33C heat and the roof torched the leaves. The vertical growth is slowing as it only grew 2" in the week so far, don't think this indica was ever meant to get huge but I think the pot limited its growth. Just solid knowledge for next year as I wanted all 3 tree to hit around 6ft after the stretch and all the training. Lost a few main branches on this plant so idk how realistic 1.5lbs is at this point t

My pictures seem to have re organized themselves, just give me a few here and I'll get the full rundown . So this week ( day 21-23) was MAJOR defoliating. What my first step is to start taking the largest fan leaves . My next step is about halfway through the canopy I'll stop and then I'll start working on the very bottom of the plant now at this stage in the game anything that doesn't even have a nice Bud site so a nice white hair sticking bud at the very bottom like shoots I'll just cut them right off. This is the first steps of a main line but I don't complete the actual full main line I probably will try it sometime soon just not this time. So you take off anything that is a small shoot coming off the main stems and then your next step is . STOP. It might be a minute it might be 10 minutes, 20 min , it might be an hour or more ( my tip is don't wait a full day I try and do it within the first 12 hours of starting it) but I always stop just to look at what I've done sometimes if you get going too quickly you can end up doing way too much. Stand to talk to canopy and look what sites are getting hit by light what places are these families beneficial to use for photosynthesis. Anything that is not doing as much good will be taken off and at that point I'll probably do another you know 5-10 minutes of defoliation maybe take one or two more shoots at the bottom to ensure what's left there is a huge fat cola that's going to give you those huge buds . After this you're going to want to do your best to support those stems that are going to hold a lot more weight as if the plant would have been with all the shoots so you're going to want to just make sure that you have staking in place or some sort of support system to keep them from flopping over a breaking them in the future because that's one thing yeah it's great but then it'll get to a point where oh no stuff falling over and then it's just more hassle than it is helpful. All is going well so far in this grow. She seems to be avoiding the sohum and keeping her roots in the happy frog. Wish I had added perlite to the sohum first to make watering easier. Using a spray bottle to moisten the soil first seems to help with watering.

She still stretching and making new bud sites. Almost as high as the other auto that were started a week weeks sooner. Lots of rain this week only fed with compost tea once after topping off with the spent tea grinds. Added some kelp and cal mag to make the tea 700ppm.

I give 8 liters of water per pot. I was giving a 2-nutrient callmag, but the water coming out from the bottom has high ppm, so I will give empty watering. Day 97-Bloom 38= sugar leaves and immature buds were cuted

Loud hashy, pepper, sulfur, rotten fruit, lemon, and Skittles terps. The landraces got nice structure, terps and yield but resin is lacking. I think that's normal. Gonna have to cross these a few times till I find something great that is worth it.

So It's week 7 of flowering for my Supafreak Girl and let me tell you, she's looking absolutely stunning! I can't help but feel proud and excited every time I check up on her progress. It's been a bit of a wild ride getting here, but it's all been worth it. The Supafreak strain definitely lives up to its name - this plant is a freak of nature in the best way possible. As we are in the maintenance phase, I'm just admiring her beauty and keeping an eye on those trichomes. It's amazing how much can change in just a day or two. I find myself constantly checking in on her, like a proud parent checking in on their child. I don't know about you, but I can't help but make jokes about how great these plants look. I mean, have you ever seen anything so green (now changing) and luscious? It's like they were born to be in a Pantene commercial. All in all, I'm just grateful to be on this journey with my Supafreak Girl. It's been a fun and rewarding experience, and I can't wait to see what the next few weeks bring. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. Hello Gromigos, well, I've lost the count of days with hell hell temps, always around 95°F. Cookie is starting to stretch but internode length is incredibly short. This pheno is perfect for indoor growing in a large pot, a single but great plant. I've trained to low main bud obtaining an homogeneous canopy. Now branches are full formed and fat. Incredibly hybrid vigour. No need for fertilization, maybe 1-2 shoots later, in blooming. I'm watering them every other day with 2 gallons each, little by little, trying to avoid past's run mistakes.

I did some heavy Super-Cropping on one of the gals this week to ensure a good even canopy, allowing all parts of the plant to receive an equal amount of light , it also maximizes my grow space, and allows for better efficiency as well. I only super-cropped 1 of them. The other girl I just done a lil LST and Defoliation on. We'll see how it goes. If all goes well I plan on flipping to a 12/12 light cycle to initiate flowering on the final day of week 4. Leaf Transpiration has increased, which also means higher water uptake. Gave a Full dose nutrient solution this feeding and it seemed to take well to it and has proven beneficial to the plants. Vpd remains between .9 - 1.1. PPFD still slightly above 600 across the entire canopy. 660 closer to center under the light. Overall even light distribution.

Seedsman Auto Sour Diesel Haze coming up!!!👍 I love the Sour Diesel strain so I'm really looking forward to this one. Also, the Seedsman Auto Lemon I just harvested was very impressive. I'm going to go lighter on the training from now on because I want to be done by end of May/early June. My grow is in the attic and its gets crazy hot there in the summer, even in VT. My Perpetual Harvest strategy…. Originally my plan was to start 2 seeds each month, but had some seeds from one breeder that did not germinate early in my rotation. Ultimately, this caused single seeds to pop and messed up my 2 at a time plans. But, that seemed to work out OK, because now I think starting one seed every 3 weeks is a better strategy. This should provide me with 4-5 plants at a time, instead of 6. However… Since I need to shut down over the summer because my tent is currently in the attic, I’m starting 2 seeds at at time for the last couple of rounds. Plants get fed once weekly on weekends. Seedlings get water only. Plants in vegetation get water and Recharge. Flowering plants get water, Recharge or Big Bloom (Fox Farm). Feeding is done using 2 gallon watering can. Any additional waterings during the week are given on an as needed basis per plant. I lift the plants to help determine which plants are more dry (lighter) and provide water any plants via water bottles and watering spikes. I give each pot a quarter turn every day in an effort to make sure the plants get equal lighting from all sides. I rotate the plant in place by turning the pot 90 degrees (I am not rearranging the layout of the plants in the tent on a daily basis). The soil is an ‘organic super soil’ I mixed myself using organic top soil, organic potting soil, organic compost, organic peat moss, organic perlite, organic vermiculite, lime, epsom salt, expanded clay pellets and Jobe’s organic fast start. I am also recycling my soil and water with Recharge when using recycled soil. For plant training I have tried a variety of things, but my plans now are to do LST bending only, no HST anymore. I may decide to go back to HST again in the future, but I’m curious to compare LST training only to see how that goes. Around 3 week I'll do a FIM cut/pinch once there are 4-5 nodes established. And some defoliation around the 3rd week of flowering. I have been doing HST bending and having good results, but think the HST may be causing the plants to take longer to harvest. I hope LST only will help increase harvests while getting me to harvest sooner. Week 5 Notes & Observations: Topped both plants and starved for 11 days. The idea being that I want the roots to search out new space and expose more root growth to the nutes in the soil to better help in the growth after the training rather than just the recovery. I made a decision on P2 and decided to keep both sides for a total of 8 colas on each plant since but topping day P2 was looking way better and showing nice re-growth. I recognize that growth will be stunted on the damaged side, but I want to see by how much in case I do it again in the future. Neither plant broke on this last training and bot seem in good health. I am however monitoring a possible calcium deficit and treating with CaliMagic. - inspected defoliated fan leaves and discovered Spider Mites - treated with Captain Jack's Deadbug concentrate mixed into 1 cup of purified water - sprayed tops and bottoms of leaves on all plants inside that tent. Will have to retreat again in 3 days, and possibly again after that. ***from label*** LAWNS AND ORNAMENTALS: Use Site Pests Controlled Comments outdoor ornamentals (herbaceous and woody plants) emerald ash borer gall midges leaf feeding beetles leafminers sawfly larvae spider mites1 thrips worms, including loopers, webworms, bagworms, gypsy moth, and tent caterpillars Uniformly spray foliage to point of runoff. Uniform coverage of upper and lower leaf surfaces is essential for effective insect control. Apply when spider mites are first observed prior to webbing and before mite populations have become severe. Reapply after 7 to 10 days (3 to 5 days in greenhouses and structures that can be altered to be closed or open) to contact newly hatched nymphs and repeat until infestation is managed. Uniform coverage of both upper and lower leaf surfaces is critical. VPD and PPFD: This week I will hold the humidity in the tent to about 70-75% and temps will be monitored for 70- 75F daytime and 66-71F overnight. Im adjusting my lights and look to control them at ~400ppfd max. Meaning slight increase over last week but mostly just growth increase. Feed & Monitor: ***All feeds with nutes use either a whole ratio or combination of "Veg Mix" and "Bloom Mix"concentrates DILUTED in water until a total ppm of add-in is reached using a (Total Dissolved Solids) TDS Meter measured in PPM (parts per million). The "Veg Mix" concentrate will eventually be added in smaller ratios and "Bloom Mix" concentrate will eventually replace the "Veg Mix" concentrate entirely. The ppm and ratios of each feed will be listed when I feed. Veg mix recipe is on week 2. Bloom Mix recipe is on week 5.*** Day 44 (last feed was day 34) Tested and Calibrated my ph pens. Starting weight from each pot was 18 lbs and 8 oz, both P1 and P2 weighed 11lbs 2oz before feed. Each plant got 1.5 gallon of purified water with 362ppm Veg Mix concentrate (recipe on week 2) and 106ppm Bloom Mix concentrate (recipe on week 5). The ph on this feed was balanced to 6.1ph to combat the original higher runoff ph from the previous runoff feed tests. After feed, both P1 and P2 weighed 19lbs 2oz after feed this time (P1 was 22lbs 3oz and P2 weighed 21lbs 14oz after last feed). I got about 8cups of runoff on both P1 and P2 this time (both plants gave up 5 cups of runoff last feed). Runoff for P1 ph was 6.3 with 906ppm (6.45 with 1170ppm last feed) and P2 was 6.4 with 814ppm 6.45 with 1230ppm last feed). Top soil tested at: P1 6.23,6.21,6.26,6.27 for an avg of 6.24 (6.327 avg after last feed) and P2 tested at 6.4,6.39,6.25,6.46 avg 6.37 (6.402avg after last feed) - next feed will be 6.3ph as Im liking where the ph is now and I dont see any issues from feed or training.
