9.1.25: I have done a large defoliation and readjusted all the LST pegs and removed the wire. The wire was getting tangled in the plants, so it was easier to just take it off. I may get some thicker, stronger wire when they're too big for the pegs. PPP1 and PPP2 are by far the best plants in this run so far. PPP3, however, is the worst of all. She flipped into flower, still having only 3 finger leaves, and there are no five finger leaves at all. I am disappointed, of course! However, for me, the triploid PPP2 absolutely made up for it! 😍 Thanks for checking out my diary 🍃 ✌️

Well haven’t been giving her too much camera attention. I think I’m also gonna need more space too, I have too much I want to do at one time lmao. But pineapple definitely still popping off. She’s kinda just been growing flowers and defoliating herself lmao. I’m probably gonna turn her and the blueberry on soon, due to my space limitations. Maybe in another two weeks, idk 🤷‍♂️🏾 STAY TUNED

Last week I started applying Flowermind Brazilian organic fertilizer. The girls have had good growth in the last few days. With the exception of the youngest plant, I think it could be an effect of the soil having less aeration. When I started this cultivation, the amount of material for the soil was not enough for the 4 pots so the fifth pot had slightly different components in terms of proportion, having less peat and perlite than the first ones.

Flowering comes to early , I don’t know why I hope to get big buds , !

The next day, I watered with plain tapwater and runoff EC was the same as our tapwater. That Wednesday, was the last day I gave them water. On Friday, they had their 12 hours of light for the last time. I forgot to make a family picture just before harvest, but I did make a movie during those last hours of light. After 36 hours of darkness, I harvested on sunday. The coco had dried up quite a bit. The pots felt light to the touch, but when I removed Jannine from the tent (the one that was always in the middle), she immediately collapsed under the weight of her own buds! The same happened to Kim, only Iris was able to holdup most buds, but with a lot of effort. Apparently they had support from each other and the walls of the tent all that time. The buds were promising: heavy, hard and dense. Can't wait to see how they work out after drying and curing. Even the buds lower on the plants were not nearly as fluffy as my first grow, but more like little marbles. My first grow, I trimmed everything wet, but this time, I only removed the fan leaves and some of the bigger sugar leaves. Also, I kept the branches bigger this time. I threw a lot of the little buds in the trim pile, but since they were still looking and feeling like some good buds (but just small) I decided after harvesting the first plant, to throw them in separate containers. So I now have the trim from all the plants, mixed with some of the smaller buds from Jannine and two separate containers with the smaller buds from both Iris and Kim. It went into the freezer fresh, directly after harvest. Since I am lazy, I ordered a bubble washer, which will be delivered somewhere this week, to ease up the hash making proces. Can't wait to try some of the hash from these girls! As for most of the buds, they are drying in the tent. The circumstances could be a lot better: for weeks during flower, RH in our house was at 60%, but in the 24 hours directly after harvest, it came down to 40%. The weather changed from very humid to very dry and it will be like this until the end of the week. Considering it's about 23 degrees C in the drying room (maybe 22 during night) and the fact it will become increasingly warmer the next few days, I am worried about the buds drying to fast (by far my biggest concern), but also loosing some potency. It is now 24 hours after harvest and the buds are still pretty wet, so at least 3 days of drying should be possible, maybe 4. A few days slower would be better, but probably unlikely. Anyway, this ends my second grow. Off course, I will be back with the final results in a few weeks, after drying, curing, making hash of the trim/popcorn buds and off course, testing it all. girl, from the beginning she was watered with water from the tap, the value of which is almost 350ppm. and a lot of lime, which prevents me from growing it bigger, but I'm happy with the result :) it's a small pot and only 50 w :) the flowers look very beautiful and sticky :) super ​

Surprised by how well the water is wicked to the medium from the water bottle, it took a long time, but wick works as intended. I was unsure how much if any nutrient would be transferred via wick but the high salt content altered pH at certain parts. Right before the symptoms arose I decided to supercrop the stem top to bottom on one plant, shortly thereafter the burning happened from the same plant from running 8.0 pH, and nutrient uptake ground to a halt on the plant that was dealing with stress. She doesn't seem happy. Remedied with aluminum sulfate, things seem to be coming back to normal. I need to be more careful with salts. I need MOAR knowledge. How many weeks shall we veg? Going to take a while to fill that canopy with just two plants, should probably start topping now but I'll wait until pH problem Is remedied first, a couple more days hopefully 🙏. I defoliated maybe 6 bigger leaves that had burned yellow on one plant, as it comes back to optimal range, this will be a good opportunity to observe the subtle differences that early defoliation can make. Added a pound of tourmaline powder and biochar, both increase soil urease and invertase activities. *2025 Didn't charge the biochar skewing my ph drastically. Urease is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of urea into CO2 and NH3 and is a key component in the nitrogen cycle in soils. Invertase (d-fructofuranosidfructohydrolase, EC 3.2.1.26) is the enzyme that capable both break down α-1,4-glycosidic linkage between d-glucose and d-fructose of sucrose and transferring αβ-D-O-fructofuranoside residue to an acceptor substrate (Toledo et al., 2019). Since tourmaline is widely distributed in the natural environment and has many excellent physical and chemical properties including radiating far infrared energy, permanently releasing negative ions, producing an electrostatic field, releasing rare microelements, and stimulating the growth and metabolism of microorganisms and plants, tourmaline had been conducted to alleviate potential environmental pollution. Perfect for how much seaweed I've added just incase.

Wow wow wow !!! Insane aromas from both. Huge buds are stacking up nicely- a real pleasure to watch them both grow. The Cali is a lot taller than the grapefruit but for what the grapefruit lacks in size she makes up for in buds. It means I have to elevate her up to the same level or there abouts.
