🌱 Black Diamond Auto – Plant B | Week 4 | 12/12 From Seed Another Diamond Begins to Show Its Shape 💎 Welcome back to another update from my 8×8 Adventure, where every plant gets the opportunity to tell its own story. This is Black Diamond Auto – Plant B, the sister of Plant A. While they share the same genetics, the same environment, the same feeding schedule and the same light, it’s already fascinating to watch how differently they choose to grow. Plant B has developed into a much more compact structure. She isn’t chasing height like her sister—instead she’s building a dense, symmetrical framework with tight internodal spacing and a very healthy canopy. Sometimes the smallest plants surprise us the most once flowering really begins. Both plants are being grown under my favorite challenge: 12/12 from seed. For those joining the diary for the first time, this means the plants have been under a 12 hours on / 12 hours off light schedule from the day they germinated. Instead of spending weeks in vegetative growth under 18 or 20 hours of light, they naturally transition into flowering much sooner, creating unique plant structures while allowing more harvests throughout the year. Every run teaches something new, and this comparison between two sisters should be another interesting chapter. ⸻ 🌱 Environment This week the room remained very stable despite the summer temperatures. • Day temperature: 33°C • Night temperature: 25°C • Relative humidity: 63% • pH: 6.1 • EC: 1.35 mS/cm • CO₂: 639 ppm The plants continue growing inside 15 L pots, receiving approximately 1.1 L of nutrient solution per day. ⸻ 💧 Hand-Watering vs AutoPot Unlike her sister, Plant B is still being hand-watered. Both plants receive exactly the same nutrient recipe, but the irrigation method is different. This should make for an interesting comparison later in the grow. Hand-watering gives me complete control over when and how much solution she receives, allowing the substrate to go through gentle wet and dry cycles before each irrigation. Her sister, meanwhile, is growing inside an AutoPot system. The AutoPot uses an AquaValve, a clever mechanical valve that automatically opens and closes depending on the water level inside the tray. As the plant drinks, the valve refills the tray without pumps, electricity or timers, allowing the roots to take exactly what they need whenever they need it. Will continuous bottom feeding produce faster growth than traditional hand-watering? That’s one of the questions this grow hopes to answer. ⸻ 🌿 Training No topping. No supercropping. No heavy stress. This week has been all about Low Stress Training (LST). Branches continue being gently bent outward to improve light penetration across the canopy while maintaining an even structure. Every day I spend a few minutes adjusting stems, leaf tucking large fan leaves and opening small windows of light for the developing side branches. It’s amazing how much a few careful adjustments can change the architecture of a plant without causing any significant stress. The goal is simple: * create an even canopy * expose future flowering sites * maximize airflow * let every branch earn its place under the LEDs Plant B has responded beautifully, staying compact while becoming wider with every passing day. ⸻ 🌸 The First Signs of Flower By the end of Week 4 the first pistils are finally appearing. This is always one of my favorite moments in a 12/12 from seed project. The transition happens naturally, almost quietly, until one morning those first white hairs appear and you know the next chapter has officially begun. Stretch is only beginning, but her structure suggests she’ll remain shorter and bushier than Plant A. Two sisters. Same genetics. Same room. Same nutrients. Yet completely different personalities. That’s exactly why I love documenting every individual plant. ⸻ 🍽️ Feeding This week’s recipe remained simple and consistent: • Terra Grow — 1.8 ml/L • Power Roots — 1 ml/L • Pure Zym — 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal — 1 ml/L EC remained at 1.35, with pH adjusted to 6.1 before every watering. She continues responding with vigorous growth, healthy color and strong new shoots throughout the canopy. ⸻ 📸 Final Thoughts Watching siblings develop side by side is one of the most rewarding parts of growing. Plant A seems determined to become the taller, more vigorous sister. Plant B is taking a different path—shorter, denser and incredibly well balanced. Neither is better. They’re simply expressing different sides of the same genetics, and that’s exactly what makes these side-by-side diaries so enjoyable. The stretch has only just begun, flowering is officially underway, and I’m excited to see whether hand-watering can keep pace with the AutoPot system over the coming weeks. I have officially reached the "Maximum Bulk" milestone. The transition from the Day 30 aka the "golf ball" phase to the Day 49 "spear" phase has been explosive, with the colas effectively doubling in density over the last two weeks. By pushing an aggressive 1.80 kPa VPD alongside a 1.6 EC feed, I’ve forced these plants into a metabolic sprint.

the girls gain 1cm a day :) they are still quite vigorous, quite green; I expect another week of stretch before they concentrate on the buds. maximum dose of alga bloom, green sensation and sugar royal. my whole tent is occupied by the canopy; would a little defoliation be necessary? i'll take any advice :) One small thing: look at the 2 last pics, it looks like a "twin head", I've never seen that before EDIT : finally defoliated them next morning (see last pic), they now breathe again :) EDIT 2 : a small research on web & i got my response : "twin head" = polyploïd cannabis

🌱 Nectar Drip — Week 12 (Week 6 Flower | 12/12 From Seed) We’re now at Week 11/12 from seed, which in this run we define as Week 6 of flower under a true 12/12-from-seed cycle. For anyone just joining — this entire run skipped the traditional vegetative phase. From day one, these plants were placed under 12/12 lighting, creating a growth pattern that behaves closer to autoflowers: fast decisions, no recovery windows, and every day counts. And that’s exactly how we got here. ⸻ ⚙️ Current State — Cruise Control, Maximum Awareness At this stage, the environment is locked and stable: * Light intensity, CO₂, EC, substrate, watering rhythm — all consistent * Hand watering continues daily, allowing direct plant-to-grower feedback * No major adjustments — only observation, correction if needed, and respect for the process This is the silent phase. Nothing dramatic… but everything important is happening. We’re watching closely for: * Any signs of mold or mildew * Micro-deficiencies or excess * Structural stress from weight and density The room is healthy, responsive, and pushing hard. ⸻ ❄️ Week 6 Flower — What’s Actually Happening This is where things accelerate. At Week 6 flower, the plant shifts its energy almost entirely into: * Bud mass expansion * Calyx swelling * Resin (trichome) production And it shows clearly: * Flowers getting denser by the day * Tighter internode stacking * Heavy frost levels across tops and secondary sites This phase is peak reproductive momentum. In a 12/12-from-seed run, it feels faster because: * No extended veg buffer * Continuous clock since day one * Any early efficiency compounds now Right now — they’re efficient. ⸻ 💡 Top-to-Bottom Development — The Under Canopy Effect One of the key observations this run: 👉 Plants are finishing more evenly from top to bottom The under-canopy lighting is driving that by: * Feeding lower bud sites * Reducing top-heavy maturity * Keeping secondary flowers in pace with main colas Result: * More uniform ripening * Better canopy utilization * Less larf, more usable flower ⸻ 🌿 Training vs Natural Growth — Lesson Reinforced Clear takeaway this week: The trained plant is: * Smaller * Slower * Noticeably behind 👉 12/12 from seed does not forgive recovery time Every training event: * Pauses momentum * Redirects energy into repair instead of growth In a cycle this fast, that cost shows up directly in: * Size * Structure * Final yield Conclusion: Less interference, more flow. ⸻ 📸 Frost, Resin & Macro World This is where the visuals take over: * Trichome production fully active * Sugar leaves coated * Buds developing a textured, almost sculpted surface Macro and focus stacking work has started. Week 6: Flowering Stage Week 2 – Stacking the Frost ❄️🕷️ ​Setup & Environment: ☀️ The June weather has been kind, providing plenty of natural light and ventilation. The plant is adapting well to the outdoor tent environment, showing robust growth in response to the ideal climate conditions. ​Nutrients & Water 💧 The plant is thirsty, especially during warm spells. I’m ensuring a steady watering routine to match the increased demand. ​Feed (per Liter): ​Calmag: 1 ml ​Acti·Vera: 2 ml ​Bio·Heaven: 2 ml ​Fish·Mix: 1 ml ​Bio·Bloom: 2 ml ​Top·Max: 1 ml ​Grower’s Notes 💭Goal for this week: Monitor bud development and maintain a clean canopy. We are officially two weeks into flower and the progress is clear! Stalks are visible from multiple points on the branches, confirming successful flower initiation. This vertical growth shows the initial stretch is transitioning into bud stack mode. The structure we built with LST early on is really paying off now, creating multiple main colas. The surrounding defense plants are still holding strong, keeping pests at bay. The Frost Queen is on her way! 📈❄️

Hey y'all! I'm back with an early update because my biggest two plants are flowering! Hindu Kush looks like she's gonna grow some really thick buds. I'm super excited to see it flower. The GSC pistils are some clear, some amber. It makes me really excited for how she's gonna look as she develops buds. I wanted to give a better tour of how the plants look so I took a video to share as well! I am super excited, and I'm starting to get impatient quite frankly! Lol! But really, I can't wait to watch my plants grow day in and day out. I need to find a way to control the humidity, as it is getting hotter in my home and when my tent is closed the humidity climbs up to 82% and some leaves that touch condensate on each other. Not good! I leave my tent open for hours at a time to tame the humidity but this is not a full time solution. if anyone has suggestions please let me know! I will be asking a question soon on it!

This burd is nice and phat! She also smells absolutely amazing. She is close to being my favourite in the tent. She is still suffering from some calmag issues. Either than or it's something I can't identify or possible rust. She is so close to the end that I'm not overly worried about rectifying it. She is covered in trichomes and looks to be developing well.

It's been a pretty good week. I did quite a big defoliation, as things were getting crowded. The girls are having a very strong diesel smel! I switched to a more flowering dominant feeding, I decreased the Nitrogen and pumped up the phosphorus and potassium. I will soon do a flush, as it looks like the nuts are starting to accumulate at the roots.

Week 5 🌸 This week we had quite a lot of fruit flys loving the fruity odors emitting from the tent. They especially loved the Pineapple and Blueberry heavy plants 😅. We watered with an EC reading of about 1,1mS twice this week. Also, we finaly got the Nemathodes into our pots. The Terps are developing beautifully and we are so excited what these flowers will taste like, once the time has come!💚 All three Strains have an estimated flowertime of 45 days, but we think most of them will take a little longer to finish up.

🤙🏼 🤙🏼 Sawasdee, Now 60 day I changed watering 1L to 1.3L this week and watering every other day, nutrients every sunday on schedule photo.🗓️ First starting feed all nutrients last week but it to late so i will feed nutrient more quantity. End of another week and dang are these girls going! The alfalfa Ferment is definitely doing work down in that rhizosphere. It's pretty amazing how well this Ferment does for veging cannabis. I seriously cut my veg time down by almost half when I use it! That's the main objective right there, to be able to continuously flip into flower right after harvesting, and we're basically their now that we have everything dialed in. These girls will be getting synthetics next week. We're going to start them on a light feed of Athena blended then go from there. Thanks for stopping by and we'll see ya next week.

Heute gab es zusätzlich BioBizz zu den Biotabs – aber nach meinem eigenen Schema. Je 2 ml von: Bio Grow, Top Max, Bio Bloom Je 3 ml von: Fish Mix, ActiVera, Bio Heaven Außerdem: 0,6 ml CalMag. Da die zwei Autos gerade anfangen, sich zu strecken und ich das Biotabs-Starterkit verwende (bei dem ich etwa 15 % unter den Vorgaben dosiere), passe ich auch die BioBizz-Düngung entsprechend nach unten an. Da alles organisch ist und es immer etwa 2–4 Tage dauert, bis der Dünger wirkt, beginne ich minimal mit dem Blütenschema und nutze gleichzeitig noch das Veggie-Schema. Sobald die Blüte richtig losgeht, werde ich mein BioBizz-Schema entsprechend anpassen.
