Plucked a few more leaves but other than that just feed them this week including bloom. Also gave them some rice starch (from boiled rice water collection) on day 42 as a boost for the microbes 👍 Turned the IR off now and turned up to 34000lux

This week I switched from feeding them the General Hydroponics MaxiBloom to KoolBloom. I kept the same pattern with feeding. I feed them the nutrients then just pH'd plain H20 the following day. I pH at 5.8-5.9. I also defoliate as I go so the plant doesn't get stressed out and stop focusing on flowering. These ladies are definitely starting to stink and get sticky!

So as you can tell, a branch broke off in training... She has been pretty hard to train as her stems had been getting very thick, very quick.. I have been adding silica, but I do that with all my plants but this girl just gets thick quick... Nothing but dots recharge and some silica.. hope everyone is doing well and happy growing! Hey Cannafam hope you are well 💚, Its been another mixed week for my purple gal but lets start with the positive. This Lady is absolutely beautiful, i cant stop staring at alluring purpleness and im completely obsessed 💜 Bud developement has continued further this week and shes actually gained height by an inch from growth of her top cola. Secondry branches have continued to fill out and the smell has increased again, she now has what can only be described as roudy honk of forest fruits. I love the smell but she is not subtle and can be detected by nose at least 20 metres away! On the weather and the other side, we have had mainly dry weather with one day of rain on Monday. Yesterday i checked her and a bud site on the opposite side and down a tier had budrot which was removed, she was then inspected closely again and i found another lower down and again removed 😑 Her Trichs are now mainly cloudy and although i feel she needs a bit longer, ive started to flush today, this gals coming down soon as or i will lose more of this beauty. This Mystery seed grow #1 is very nearly finished! She will be taken down once I'm satisfied with the ratio of trichomes. I'm leaving this one a bit longer than I usually would, just to see the difference in effects of a later harvest. I do need the space in the tent, so I'm hoping it won't take too much longer. The leaves are losing all of their colour, and this is the first time I've had any "fade". I've had a lot of issues with what I believe is an excess of phosphorus. I had Phosphorus excess in this grow before, and I think that's what's happened again. I believe the Excess of Phosphorus has prevented the plant from being able to uptake Calcium, Magnesium and others. I have learned many lessons again, and plan to avoid these mistakes with my grows presently. 8.5.25: The plant was watered with 2ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6. This may be the last watering before she's done. I added per litre; ♡ 4ml Ecothrive Trace ♡ 1/2 TSP Sea K(elp) PPM: 715 PH: 6.3. ☆ Xpert Nutrients PH down, up to 1ml. ☆ Ecothrive Neutralise 1 drop per litre from the 1ml pipette, which is attached. What a pleasure to from this variety! Wonderful sea of chunky tops. Beautiful even canopy im very happy with their production so far. They are getting the trichomes really going now. This strain always gets super frosty come the finish line. I reduced the nitrogen dose again. I also stopped giving them vigorous. Its a pure bloom mix now as these ladies are booming with flowers. I know that it may seem like a lot of nutrients at first. It’s not. A lot of those mycorrhizae ingredients are mixed into my soil well before the germinated seed goes into the pot. I make my own mix of soil using some of those ingredients. I like to use the great white mykos because of its powders consistency. Makes it easy for a clean transport from germinated bean to its forever home. For watering, they have been given only plain RO water with a neutral ph. Just yesterday I gave them a little tiny mix of Medusa’s magic, Zeus juice, and Gaia mania. I have used Oregon’s only brand products for a while now and I absolutely love them and better yet, I understand them. They have responded super well already to their first drink of bottled nutes with a ph of 6.3 . I’m keeping a RH between 50 and 60%. I’m also keeping a temp during the day at around 78-81°f. Right now I’m not worried about a night time temp but I do run cooler lights for about 4 hrs every day, dropping to around 70-75°f. Eventually I will add my second light boosting me from 600w too 1200w. Also they will begin a 20-4 hr light cycle. I find these autos do amazing with a little rest for 4 hrs. Allows me to pull more resin and color in later stages of life by dropping the temp lower than usual with the lights off. Been doing a lot of tweaking with the new gear and multiple sets of plants. Been quite a busy week and probably behind a bit on keeping track of everything. I'm currently working on trying to get better charts made to keep track of things like light schedules, detailed feedings, height change per day, etc. My current setup is my oldest 1st set of plants (5plants) and my 3rd set (6 seedlings), in my new 4x4 Vivosun grow tent equipped with a Spider Farmer SF-1000. I have kept my 2nd set of plants (4plants) in my original 4x2 Vivosun equipped with 600W Vivosun LED. These plants had been extremely stressed due to not having soil or containers available with shipping constraints. They've been doing a lot better since then and I'm hoping they make a full recovery. Fingers crossed! Running 24hr light schedule. Both tents equipped with temp/hygro high and low ranging from about 71-81°F with an average of about 78°F. Watering by plant pot weight, according to GH FloraTrio + CalMag Schedule. Mild LST via tucking of leaves blocking developing sites. No more than 3 leaves removed per plant, per day to avoid stress. ______________________________________ Can't wait to start upgrading the quality of my journals and to hear you all's feedback! It's running all three of my fans, both lights and has the carbon filter system and humidifier hooked up to it as well. I basically have the other 4x2 just sitting as a shell for the moment. Either planning to save it for climate control when curing the first harvest or sell it to invest in another Spider Farmer SF-1000 LED or equivalent and possibly another 4x4 tent. I have started a grow chart that's still a little sketchy but if nothing else having it here hells me keep up with it that much better. The first set of plant's nutrients was made to 4gal of water. The mix is a ratio of (Cal-Mag/GHMicro/GHGro/GHBloom) It's mixed (for the 4gal) in order; 10mL, 5mL, 10mL, 10mL. 440ppm @ 98.5°F 890EC @ 2.2°F us/cm This new nutrient mix was applied for the first time tonight and will run about a week. I'm running a bit behind according to the GH schedule I was following due to stunting the growth I felt like over a couple issues to where I have them an extra week of veg nutrients. As I have defoliated them and they have seemed to take it pretty well, I'm hoping the increase in bloom nutrients will kick the buds into overdrive for production and the plants will start to thicken up again. The second mix follows the same order as the first set in regards to nutrient usage. This mix is only mixed to one gallon. It as follows; 2.5mL, 2.5mL, 1.25mL, 2.5mL. 500ppm @ 98.6°F 992EC @ 0.4°F us/cm This is mostly following the same GH nutrient schedule as the first set only about 2 weeks behind. These plants suffered from being in too small of containers for too long and I believe this stunted their growth. I've had them in suitable new containers for a couple days now and hoping this new mix of increased nutrients will bring them back to life a bit and get them back in schedule. I'm honestly not too sure still about the ppm and EC numbers but a few bud-dies have mentioned that it plays important roles in plant health. So until I can better research good numbers and how to control it for my set up, I'm at the very least trying to keep track of the data. I apologise about this large chunk of text! I hope you enjoy the diary anyway in spite of the fact. I'm loving the look of the buds and everything seems to be going great. Only a few months to go! 😎
