2020-08-11 Another week gone by... Plant 01 is still fattening up, drinking normally. Plant 02 has been completely choked out of the lights so it's not doing very well. Keeping the nutrients the same as they are both pretty steadily drinking. Some death amongst the lower leaves on plant 02 and the buds are getting trichomes but not getting very fat. Plant 01 is very dense and sticky af. Excited to harvest in a couple weeks! The tent is definitely ugly as hell and the vegetative state clearly went on for about 2 weeks too long (first time grower) while I messed up the nutrients and other things that caused them to grow slowly. The 2nd plant never really recovered. I have continued defoliating and super-cropping plant 01 away from the light and keeping the distances even... It's an ugly canopy, can't wait for the next one so I can get it right!!

Hello Diary. I am very happy that we are starting again. I’m going back to Automatics again. Many thanks to Royal Queen Seeds for sending me two of their new strains, Green Gelato Automatic and HulkBerry Automatic. So this is the first of two new diaries. WHY GREEN GELATO AUTOMATIC? LET THE DIARY START OFFICIALLY: 10/06/2020. planting. I have prepared everything I need for planting. The 11lit fabric pot I got from RQS, also Organic Boost Nutrition and Mycorrhizza from RQS, Soil is Light-Mix from BioBizz and of course the seed of the new strain Green Gelato Automatic. After adding 50g of pellets from Organic Nutrition and 5g of Mycorrhizze, I mixed everything well in the pot. After that I watered well and soaked the soil, I dug a hole with a wooden stick about 2-3 cm, I first put 1g of mycorrhize and then put the seeds inside. I lightly covered the hole with earth and put the pot in his new home. The temperature was about 25 degrees and the humidity about 65%. 14/06/2020. She sprouted. After 4 days, Green Gelato came out. In the meantime, I sprayed the surface of the earth a little twice. The temperature is still around 26 degrees, thanks to the summer and the high temperature that enters the apartment anyway. week 11 75 days according to the breeder this strain has 7-8 weeks of flowering. with the possible stress that the plant has suffered maybe it has slowed down its growth a little. but since I'm not impatient and I have time is not a problem. I like to let it mature on point so I let it roll for another three weeks. As for the sample I took a week before... it was on a good track. I could already feel some notes and aroma but deep down. very heavy and harsh smoke, to remember that there was no flush or cure, just dry. Now its waiting for the whole plant dry. 🤞🙏

During week 12 the plants are in their 5th week of flowering since the switch to 12/12 hours of light/darkness. All plants develop nice flower crowns now and the top-buds start to get encrusted with trichomes. Especially the MAC from Tropical Trees seeds from Hawaii has already an impressive layer of trichomes on top. All 12 plants have a nice healthy green color, which shows the BIO NOVA nutrients work GREAT! 💪😎 My two SANlight EVO4-120 LEDs are doing an EXCELLENT job and are running on 100% power now (=3 GREEN lights on the dimmer ON). This cycle is going AWESOME until now and I cant wait for the buds to get bigger...

Now I started to see they drink much more. Last time it was 3 days between watering. This time it was only 1 day since they got 1L water. Maybe increase 1L to 1.5L next time. Summary for the day: I still do some LST but truing to do less and focusing on spreading the tops. LED in 40cm full effect. Hello growmies! Welcome to week four of An Epsilon Adventure! The girls are already transitioning into flower, I will get some photos of that later in the week. Daily Updates: ### Week 4 Day 1 11:00 16/7 Removed some lower growth. ### Week 4 Day 2 23:00 17/7 Tallest plants were showing signs of heat stress so I have raised the light about 30cm more. Unfortunately this now means the lower plants aren't getting as much light as they could, so I have put the cycle back to 20h (I may even increase it). ### Week 4 Day 3 14:00 18/7 Photographed. ### Week 4 Day 3 19:00 18/7 Fertigated 2l. Okay these girls are now starting to concern me a little on the basis that they are supposed to grow to "50-70cm". At just over 3 weeks old the shortest of these girls is 53cm, the tallest (plant 3) is now 76cm tall. The worrying thing is they do not at all look like they are slowing down and as they are just pre-flowering now, the flowering stretch hasn't even started. So I need some genuine advice here now: Do I keep the faith and hope that they don't exceed the space I have? Do I top or super crop them now? These ladies are beastly, at the end of the week I am going to take some individual videos and more photos to really try and capture how magnificently well these girls are doing. I think I may be in the process of growing the biggest Epsilon F1's so far? Exciting to find out! ### Week 4 Day 4 21:00 19/7 James has assured me they wont go much more than 85 so I am not going to mess with them. They are due a defoliation at the end of this week though. Measured each plant as follows: Plant 1: 81cm Plant 2: 75cm Plant 3: 80cm Plant 4: 67cm Plant 5: 59cm Plant 6: 58cm Might photograph later or leave until tomorrow. ### Week 4 Day 5 10:00 20/7 Photographed and measured. Plant 1: 85cm Plant 2: 79cm Plant 3: 81cm Plant 4: 71cm Plant 5: 63cm Plant 6: 63cm So they've all grown about 4cm in about 13 hours, except plant 3 - which seems to have slowed down a lot. The top of plant 3 is also the most advanced looking in terms of pistils. I forgot to take close ups of the preflowers I will do that tomorrow. I have had to raise the light again today and it is now much further away than the younger plants than I would like. So I am thinking about adding a 300w LED into my 4x4. I have another 3 inches I can raise the light on the hangers, after that I can removed the adjustable handers and tie it to the top of the tent... that'll gain me another 4 or 5 inches. If I need to go higher my only option would be to set them up without the tent which is not an option right now. Hopefully they all just stop getting taller now and focus on flowering... but my gut tells me there's more growth to come. Watch this space! ### Week 4 Day 6 15:00 21/7 Measured. Day 22 begin of week 4 Ec drifted to 2.1 so i gave them a little flush while prepared the new water. For week 4 ph is 6,0 and ec 1,9 maybe raise to 2,0 Ppfd ~ 850 The dehumidifier got a fulltime job now the Ladies are drinking ~8 liters a day

Day 3: One has arrived on 5/26 Day 6: Diagnosis: Slight Nutrient Burn Cause: Hot Soil Treatment: Cal-Mag and ph balanced water in week 2

And here we are! The end of week 7. And these girls are basically ready. I'm gonna wait a few more days but by Tuesday I predict that I'll pluck them. They are just perfect looking. Fat buds loaded with resin. The smell is interesting. A subtile sweet sugary smell. With a hint of fuel. Very hard to pin down and will be curious with how the final product turns out. I've been ramping up the UVB 310 over these weeks. Now it's been at 4 hours for the last few days. The girls don't seem to mind. Idk if it has had an effect or not at this moment but I plan on continuing it in the future. Watering every day or two. Not giving them as much now tho. Letting them dry out a little more. On Day 39 i mixed 4.5l with some melasse 2 drips of supervite and 5ml of calmag and an oh of 6.2. I also topped them. I also notized some nutrient burnibgs beacause of the livibg soil and some Magnesium deeficensy. On Day 41 i mixed 4.5l with 6ml of calmag 6ml of alfa boost 40ml of Lab and sone supervite as well as some melasse.
