End of week 22: Overal it was a good run with the Shamans from @DutchPassion_Official . Didn't had mayor problems besides having to harvest them earlyer. I really wanted to flower them another 2 weeks but the weather/climate didn't allow me to. Still the buds came out decent as you can see for an early harvest. I will cure those buds for some time in my pots before they get smoked and will update how much weight I got out of the two plants. As you can see I made the bigger buds smaller. There is no use for me to keep big buds for showing off. Big buds just have big long stems in it, harder to dry and to fill your cure pots with.

After removing the runtz from the tent I decided to put a net over them to spread the canopy, not exactly a true scrog due to the lateness of applying the net but it has served its purpose. All very healthy and took the cold night temps like a champ

Decided to start dark period(24-48hrs) day 85 mostly milky not much amber maybe some amber on the sugar leaves. I wanted to go 90+days with this auto but I needed the space in the tent for my photos and she looks almost ready, would’ve liked to see a little more amber but nevertheless I haven’t grown much at all so don’t have too much preference yet on trichomes. I’ll chop in a day or two and dry in my smaller tent and hopefully it goes well, my first harvest I dried too fast in low humidity and wasn’t that pleased with the end result. This time I’m planning on lowering exhaust speed and to not be so scared of 50+humidity in drying area and raise it to around 60humidity after a few days. Can’t think of anything else to write, but I’ll update after the chop and dry and 🙏 hopefully all goes well.

the two BPP R3 in soil went into bloom. the dwc are starting to enter bloom slowly as well 36-42 The veg and seedling cycle on the three gallon pot was short and it's gone into bloom with very little stretching. All of the plants look healthy, they look fine, no nutrient. Or PH issues

I defoliated them a lot and gave them some transition nutes to get them ready for the flip to flower in 7 days. ✂️💉 Oh they grow so fast.⏰😢😭

Happy New Year!!! Over the past week I did some HST bending on my photos and cut down 2 of the 3 Blackberry’s. The branches are starting to recover and straighten out after the HST now. I still have some issues with pale leaves and a few spots here and there. I’m going to try adding some Dolomite Lime with the next watering and think that should help with the paleness. I’m also going to up the amount of CalMag and Mammoth P to see if that helps with the spotting. I’m not sure if I should see the spotted leaves recover or if the spots will remain. I suspect the spots will remain on the existing leaves regardless of what I do at this point, but hopefully no new spotting will develop. The lights went off before I was done taking pics, so some pics will look a little different. The pics with the lights on I had to color correct, they still look a little more on the yellow side than in reality, but much closer to reality than the pre-color corrected versions. Once the lights went off I turned the flash on for my camera, those pics did not need any color correction. You can see the differences in the pics of all plants, the first 2 are color corrected with the lights on, the last 2 are taken with a flash and no color correction. Also all close up pics of the Critical+ are with the lights off and flash on. I read several books on cannabis over the past few days, some good, some not so much. One that I liked was “Marijuana Cultivation Reconsidered: The Science and Techniques For Huge Indoor Yields” by Read Spear. This book is available on Amzon’s Kindle Unlimited service, which costs $9.99/month, but they offer a free 30 day trial (which is what I’m using at the moment). Reed’s book is broken down into 3 sections, the first and third go fairly deep into the science behind growing, he does a pretty good job at breaking it down in easy to understand terms, but I had to read several sections 2 or 3 times to really get it (or just move on with as much understanding as I could digest). The second section is the nuts and bolts of growing. Most was a review but there were several topics he touched on I hadn’t thought of in a while. And again its well written. He also offers the section only in a separate book called “Small Spaces, Big Yields”. If you are not interested in going deeper into the science behind growing, “Small Spaces, Big Yields” is what I would recommend (if interested in reading books on cannabis). I took some notes while reading and I’m going to add some of these notes in my dairy updates over the next few weeks. This week I’m going to include a note on electrical, this should be a fairly basic concept, but it is super important IMO… “Electrical Items In a sealed grow room or in a tent, you will have water pooling on the floor from time to time. There is no avoiding this. Mop it up when you see it, and never put your electrical gear directly on the floor. Never. Not even for a moment. In fact, let me stress this point in bold capital letters. ALL ELECTRICAL GEAR MUST BE MOUNTED SECURELY ON A WALL OR TENT POLE.” -Read Spear I’ll add more did bits like this in my diaries over the upcoming weeks. If anyone has any good book recommendations please let me know in the comments. I’m looking for books that might not be as popular as the ones by Jorge Cervantes or Ed Rosenthal (I’ve read those). I did just order “True Living Organics” by The Rev which I’m looking forward to reading. But I’m looking for more. I really want to step it up and learn as much as possible. Going into flowering is always a special moment and we prepare to do it in the best way to make the plant understand that it is time to become a woman and speed up the start of the formation of buds. We start with 24 hours of darkness this to give a strong break and sign of change to the plant that understands the change of time and prepares to go into flowering. Our Test # 3 is doing very well for now, it has an average internodal distance and responds to topping very well. Its buds are quite well aligned and we expect a copious flowering. Actualización 05/10/2024 ¡Hola, growers! Perdón por no poder compartir las semanas completas, pero poco a poco volvemos a la normalidad. Las fotos que ven corresponden al día 01/10/24 y, como pueden ver, están llenas de terpenos y tricomas por todas partes. Tanto la Fruit Gum como la Biscotti x Candy Rain son dos de las cepas más resinosas que he cultivado y, además, desprenden un olor increíblemente fuerte. La Fruit Gum tiene esos toques dulces y nostálgicos, como a chicle de mascar, que me transportan directamente a mi infancia. En cuanto a la Biscotti x Candy Rain, su aroma es como el de una clásica galleta americana casera, ¡muy intenso! Ambas cepas me están impresionando mucho por su resinosidad y aromas únicos. Cabe destacar que las genéticas de Uktha Genetics me han sorprendido gratamente; los resultados están siendo fantásticos. Eso sí, estas cepas comen como camiones, pero mientras se mantenga un control exhaustivo de las fertilizaciones y del medio de cultivo, no hay problema de sobrefertilización. Pronto cortaremos una de las plantas que está bastante adelantada. Espero que disfruten tanto como yo este proceso y, como siempre, ¡buenos humos para todos! 🌱💨
