Compost tea turned out well, let it go for 26 hours total and geared it towards fungal. Also took some soil samples several days later around the stalks and found a lot of nematodes and protozoa which is what you want to see. Lots of different types of nematodes so what your looking for are the bacterial feeders (there are charts online that show you how to identify them). Mycorrhizae can be identified by it's dark colour, uniformity and segmented nature. Testate amoebas live in a translucent shell like a snail and are easy to spot but hard to spot moving due to my shitty microscope, but look for the tentacles. Also found some eggs with movement inside, no idea what they are but they have vacuoles and flagella. She is really getting sticky and smelly now; berries with herb notes. You can see the resin stretching over the trichomes in the last pic. No signs of senescence yet so I'm not going to feed them, they should have plenty of food anyway as this is a second run of the same soil.

11/10/2025 18:45 Everything good this week,full of Sunny days and temperature raised to 22°C during days and 12 °C during nights Plants are enjoying this climate even with cold nights,they will not be so big at the end but the quality Is on point #1 Coco Milk 84 days from seed This one has small buds pretty dense but glistering in resin ,the top nugs are greasy at the touch leaving the fingers sticky and smelly Didn't check the trichomes but they look like there Is some amber,the smell is super strong telling the finish Is near maybe earlier than i expected Brought a friend with me who has grown much more plants than me,also he tells the smell and the look are amazing,the flavour is fresh,deep,complex to describe I say it's like a good shampoo flavour when you enter in a barber shop not so pungent but creamy like a coconut milk exactly as the name says,AWESOME!!! As you can see from the third picture on day 29 she is looking a little ugly and unkept. I'm not sure if this is a normal thing or something I need to take action on. Advice would be great. So day 30 rolling around. Decided I had to try LST again. She felt more receptive to being bent over today as well. I mainly had to attempt it for space reasons. With the current covid panic all the markets where I buy my buckets from are closed and I can't procure a new one to increase my height for probably a couple of weeks at this rate so LST was my only option. She seems to have taken well to it and I will upload a finished picture of her shortly. Day 32, watered and fed her. 500ml of water plus .3ml each of fox farm trio. Hoping to see her perk up a bit. Concerned about the large brown spot on one of her leaves which made me think she was having a deficiency? Probably a bit early to worry about buds fattening up also but I am worried they are looking a bit airy at the moment on the non main cola sites. I'm not sure if my LST was effective at tricking her into trying to have more than one top cola? Day 33. No noticeable gains today, at least to my eyes. I can spot a little nute burn perhaps but hopefully nothing too serious. Looks like a cola that isn't the original top is starting to fill out just as much, if not more, than the original top though. Hoping they all catch up at a similar pace to each other and reduce the pop corn nug potential! Day 35. She has shown a few more bud sites since last post. I am worried that she is going to produce a fair bit of larf/popcorn bud and wanted to know how to get rid of that? I am not confident to remove any growth without knowing for sure it has a beneficial impact on the overall health of the plant and the final results. Any advise is appreciated. She also seemed a bit thirsty to me. The leaves were feeling a bit thin and dry so I gave her 1L of water with .7ml each of fox farm trio. Hopefully she responds well. I will check her in an hour or so to see if the leaves are starting to point back up - fingers crossed.

I know I said it before but these girls have been a pleasure to grow...they are 23 days into budding and pushing out like crazy blowing up and stacking up..going to be some full girls. Nothing to really say everything is dialed in perfect, this week it was very hot out so my room got a little hotter... but no big deal the girls really didn't mind... Pre-flowering stage, stretching phase. Today exactly 14.41 hours of light. Average week's temperatures 80°F High humidity, some stormy days, hew heat wave is coming. Afghan is a massive plant and is almost ready to flower. Branches are very thick and sticky. Great smell. Starting to defoliate the bottom canopy. No issues, no pests, no need 4 food.

Never used it . Bug on site.

Another week went by so fast! Her buds are developing nicely, becoming more colorful and much thicker. After each defoliation we are discovering more and more buds that were growing beneath the leaves. The numerous trichomes turn into milky, little bubbleheads. I really adore the look of her buds this close; the colors, as well as the overall look is just stunning! Topdressed her with worm castings (Plagron.-Mega Worm) for supplementary nutrients. Additionally watering with pure water to balance out the nutrient level within the plant. Also added some SF nematodes (Steinernema feltiae) to resolve our issue with fungus gnats.

I was ahead of schedule with my weekly updates so I am changing this week to the true week 6 update, photos are about a week and a half from last week update. Starting flowering nutes tomorrow after flushing all day today, seeing a lot of new pistil growth. I was hoping to have these harvested around week 10 but I’m thinking it’s gonna be more like 12 or 13 now which is fine, just taking it day by day. This week has been a lot of stretching, with the tallest one coming out at around 17 inches. I was gone on a trip for 5 days and left them to their own devices, and returned to see great growth and no signs of any issues. Humidity was at 90% in the tent when I got back which scared me but I saw no signs of stress, these girls really are some hulks. Aired it out and it’s back to a reasonable level now. I’ve been expressing my worries in previous updates about the plants growing too big for their grow area, however nothing is getting out of control and I don’t see them growing more than 12 more inches, which at max could be pushing a little close to the light but should be ok. Starting to get hints of some nice pungent smells which are different than the previous earthy ones, getting pretty excited.

This plant is on the move just like last time. She looks impeccable and her canopy is about to become a super dense photosynthesis machine for her future buds. The tiniest signs of pre-flower starting so I gave both the Blackberry and LSD a tad of Tiger Bloom to ease them into pre-flower. My goal is to get night temps close to 65 to increase the potentiality of purples. I hope she keeps on doing her thang. She's a sexy beast. I tied her down on 9/14 when she hit 16 inches.

A little nute burn. Dialing back a bit, but she is still getting frosty.
