? Blueberry Muffin – Pheno A Week 5 | The Beginning of Automation Some weeks are about explosive growth. Others are about building the foundation for everything that comes next. This week was definitely the second. Blueberry Muffin Pheno A has officially entered that fascinating transition where vegetative growth begins to merge with the first signs of flowering. The structure is now well established, side branches are reaching confidently toward the canopy, and every day she looks a little less like a seedling and a little more like the productive plant she’s destined to become. One of the biggest milestones this week wasn’t something the plant did… It was something I changed. ⸻ 🤖 Welcome to the AutoPot System This week Pheno A officially moved onto the AutoPot irrigation system. For anyone unfamiliar with it, an AutoPot is a passive watering system that feeds plants from the bottom rather than from the top. Instead of watering every day, a reservoir supplies nutrient solution through tubing to an AquaValve located underneath each pot. The AquaValve is actually the clever part of the entire system. Rather than continuously flooding the tray, it works like a mechanical float valve. As the tray empties and the plant consumes the nutrient solution, the valve automatically opens and refills the tray to a precise level before closing again. No electricity. No timers. No programming. Just simple engineering allowing the plant to decide when it’s ready for another drink. The result is a much more consistent root environment while eliminating daily hand watering. ⸻ 🌱 Learning a New Way to Grow Whenever I introduce a new piece of equipment, I don’t simply install it and hope for the best. I observe. I adapt. I learn. Because the nutrient solution now remains inside a shared reservoir, I also adjusted the feeding program. Some additives that perform wonderfully during hand watering aren’t ideal when they remain sitting in a reservoir for several days. For that reason, Sugar Royal and Power Roots were removed from the reservoir while continuing to use the remaining Plagron nutrients that are perfectly suited for AutoPot cultivation. It’s a small adjustment… …but one that helps keep the nutrient solution cleaner and more stable throughout the week. ⸻ 🌿 Growth Update Blueberry Muffin has responded beautifully. Internode spacing remains tight, the branching continues to develop evenly, and the canopy is beginning to spread naturally without forcing the plant into shape. The side branches that only recently sat beneath the canopy are now confidently pushing upward, creating the framework that should support numerous flowering sites over the coming weeks. The bird’s-eye photographs really show how symmetrical she’s becoming, while the side profiles reveal just how quickly those secondary branches are catching up. It’s one of those moments where you stop looking at individual leaves and start seeing the architecture of the plant itself. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment The room continues running intentionally warm. Day temperatures reached around 31°C while relative humidity averaged approximately 72%. Normally those humidity numbers might raise eyebrows during flowering. However, this is still the very beginning of bloom, where maintaining higher humidity encourages vigorous growth, active transpiration and continued expansion before the flowers begin stacking seriously. As flowering progresses, humidity will gradually be reduced to create a safer environment for dense buds while maintaining an appropriate VPD. Everything is part of the plan. Nothing is accidental. ⸻ 🍽️ Feeding This week’s reservoir was prepared using: • Terra Grow – 1.8 ml/L • Terra Bloom – 1.9 ml/L • Pure Zym – 1 ml/L • Power Buds – 1 ml/L • pH adjusted to approximately 6.05 • EC around 1.83 mS/cm By keeping the solution simple and reservoir-friendly, the AutoPot system can do exactly what it’s designed to do—deliver a consistent nutrient profile every time the AquaValve opens. ⸻ 📸 This Week Behind the Lens The photographs this week tell the story perfectly. Bird’s-eye shots reveal a beautifully balanced canopy beginning to fill its space, while the side views highlight strong vertical development and excellent branch formation. One image captures the AquaValve itself—the tiny mechanical heart of the AutoPot system quietly doing its job. Another shows the reservoir that now feeds the plant automatically, reminding us that successful growing isn’t always about adding complexity. Sometimes it’s about making things simpler. ⸻ 🔍 Looking Ahead Next week should be incredibly exciting. With the AutoPot system now fully active and Blueberry Muffin comfortably settled into automated feeding, I expect vertical growth to accelerate as flowering becomes more established. The coming days should reveal the first real stretch, increased flower development, and an even more defined canopy. The real show is only just beginning. ⸻ 💚 Thank You A huge thank you to everyone following this adventure—from day one supporters to those who have only recently joined. Whether you’re here to learn, share ideas, ask questions, cheer the plants on, or even challenge my methods, every interaction helps make this diary a better place for growers around the world. Special thanks to: 💚 GrowDiaries for providing a platform where growers can document their journeys openly. Zamnesia for the incredible Blueberry Muffin genetics that continue to impress with their vigor and structure. 🌱 Plagron for supplying the nutrition and soil that keep these plants thriving. 💡 Future of Grow LED for delivering the light that drives every stage of development. And finally… Thank you for taking the time to follow along. Every comment, every question, every bit of encouragement—and yes, even every constructive criticism—helps this project grow alongside the plants themselves. Growers Love and see you next week, where I hope Blueberry Muffin begins to show us exactly why she’s earned her place in this 8×8 adventure. 🌱💚

My tallest plant has some really thick dense white pistols. She's still growing. But slowing down now. My other plant is still slow to flower. May be due to the cat eating half the plant in week one of flowering.

Went west trim and will tidy up dry trim as I’m simply terrible At it. Great aroma - Very sticky !!! Very frosty. Almost a sun actually to cut them down. But they’re up for it, they know the medicinal love they bring. Think the smoke report should be high grade

Strain was a hardy IMO easy to grow, great BUD/LEAF ratio so it will be easy to manicure...I would grow this again. I will post final weight in a couple weeks. 60/60 for about 10 days will cure it wonderfully . I cannot post wet weights as I trim dry and do not remove flowers from branches until they are cured. 9 1/2 lbs dry weight of WELL manicured bud. That comes out to 1.66 grams/watt !

Home stretch baby!!! Start of week 10 of flower, and things are looking chop ready:) The ill effects of last weeks PK burn have subsided and the plants are back to healthy. Have been checking trichomes and flower form, and based on my experience, these ladies are coming down in 6 days, October 6th. One of the plants has the hardest, densest, stickiest nug i have ever seen. So looking forward to tasting. I have been off the nutes for a few days and will be water only from here on out. I have dusted off my old bowl trimmer and drying rack. I have always wet-trimmed and dried in a rack. I dry for about 5 days and then start jarring and burping. The bowl trimmer is soooo fast. It cuts my trim time by literally 90%, will post a video on chop day. Updates later in week F66 - Chopped the one girl who had a tonne of amber in her. Looks to be a good 2.5 zips when dry, time will tell if my estimate is correct, but it comes from experience. Other 7 plants coming down on F71. Check my bowl trimmer video!

The 22nd and 23rd of of july nothing important happened, we provided some water and the plant was looking quite good The 24th of july a heatwave started, reaching 40C° outside, i needed to move the plant to my balcony, she continued outdoors but with some more shadow as the direct sunlight for such a long time would have fulminated the little plant 25th of july we provided bioenhancer from green house and some synergy mycorrhizae 26th of july nothing 27 of july water 28th of july nothing 29 and 30 of July starting week 2 veg. Temperature seems to start getting better, next couple of days we will move the plant to the roof again, gave only water

The week starts Monday, Jan-13 in flowering stage. The plant is growing fast, stretching long and I'm constantly tying down branches to maintain an even canopy. There's also a stronger scent of lemon already in the tent. Carried out substantial defoliation of almost all the big fan leaves and a few little stems that were not likely to make it above the canopy. Avoided defoliating the major cola branches. This encourages the plant not to waste resources on a node which is only going to produce “popcorn” buds. The plants reacted well to the defoliation and were looking good by the end of the light cycle for the day. The net is completely full and this will be the last week of applying any LST as part of the ScrOG setup. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering almost 3L per day. Lowered the average RH in the space to 50%. ----prior 4 weeks updates ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-06 in flowering stage. The net is filling up nicely with the ScrOG process being enjoyable - just tucking branches nicely under squares once stretched enough. Lost a branch end with 3 nodes accidentally whilst tucking away so now I'm super careful. The Sativa dominant strain is stretching nicely and bends easily. Minor defoliation of lower branches and fan leaves continues daily. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Dec-30 in vegetative stage - switching the light regime to flowering. Initiated flowering with an extended dark period prior to switching light regime - this practice is supposed to promote a faster initiation of flowering by the plant. Maintain lights off from Dec-31, 10:00 until Jan 1 - 18:45 allowing a 32hr darkness period prior to switching the light regime. Light regime is set for 12.5/11.5 on/off allowing me a better maintenance window for my living situation. Both plants are growing fast and strong, showing their genetic traits. Some shoots are going through the net already. Have started to tuck branches as they grow to fill up any gaps. Did minor defoliation on both plants near their stem base and centres. Some green algae on roots/coco medium on the surface of the pot. Have defoliated some more which hopefully helps with air circulation at the area. Will monitor over the week - may need to decrease watering frequency, although they seem to be keeping up drinking. Lowered the High Humidity setting of the extraction fan to 60% - which effectively keeps it running at least 75% of the time, and removed the humidifier. Will monitor and adjust as necessary lowering the setting to 50% in a few weeks whilst flowering. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Dec-23 in vegetative stage. Installed the ScrOG net - Set at 20cm from the base of the plants, being 55cm from ground. The plant is showing great growth, lots of branching and new growth sprouts. A few branches are beginning to come through the net and almost all main branches are now tied down horizontally after the two recent toppings. Applied more LST and will wait for the branches to reach the net and start tucking. The AC Infinity fan is currently only running intermittently with its current settings. This seems to impact the utilisation and effectiveness of the carbon filter in use. The desired outcome is for the fan to be running for longer periods whilst in Auto config. Lowered the High Level Humidity from 70% to 60%, and more importantly, lowered the Max Speed from 4 to 2 with the intent that a lower fan speed will result in longer periods where the extraction fan is operated to remain below threshold targets for the grow space. Plant growth continues to be strong at the end of the week. Big fan leaves near the top are beginning to look a little serrated and dark, similar to the start of this grow. This may be due to the extra CalMag being added which was the issue at the start of the grow. Will keep monitoring and half the CalMag dosage on next feed. Importantly, I have learnt nutrient mixing of the CalMag should be done prior to the Canna Coco A & B. To date I have done the opposite which may explain my earlier issues. Fertigating daily at the start of the light cycle. One more week of vegetative growth before switching to flowering although I may need to switch earlier due to the vigorous growth and considering the stretch yet to come. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ................................. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My grow setup includes; - Secret Jardin DS120W tent (120cm x 60cm x 180cm) placed inside the bedroom. Passive intake of air is from a closed off section of the room where the central heating boiler sits - the intake is warm air (20 degC.) and fairly dry (40% RH) during the winter months. - Mars Hydro SP250 LED light - extraction fan - AC Infinity Cloudline T6 - ventilation fans - aquarium heater - small oil heater - small dehumidifier - 20L Airpots and 3.5L general pots for seedling stage - Canna Coco substrate and nutrients - pH and EC/TDS meters - Thermo/Hygro meter

Disclaimer: Stunning trichomes here too but after so many photos come down and look... We are in our Dark Time we really want to find colored plants to see what trichomes they have exploring the microworlds like Indiana Jones. This time it's the turn of the new Black Diamond, just released with a very Californian heritage and even more so, ladies and gentlemen here we are again in California it could easily be a plant from the best Californian breeders but it is Zamnesia and maybe it is even better... ** Remember that for all the varieties we have at least two plants, one left to grow straight and one worked with the techniques (come back during the week to see). today we are talking about the harvest of the dark phenotype, which is also the most beautiful and picturesque to show in the hole of both the colas and the wonderful macros. Bad luck wanted the most beautiful plants to finish first so in the next few weeks you will find very nice plants but these colored ones are from another planet. Technique used // In this case we let the plant grow straight with a bit of LST on the lower branches to widen and let it get light and a fimming at a certain point to try to keep the plants in that growbox aligned as much as possible. Better with the techniques or normal? This time we have two slightly different phenotypes, the scent and the flower are similar but this one is really super dark and how can you not prefer it but it's a question of phenotype the yield is excellent also on the other plant that will be harvested soon. Flower quality // From one to 10 stars + infinity. The plant has resined incredibly, the flowers are hard as marble so much that if Michelangelo Buonarroti were still alive he would sculpt a David. Truly beautiful under all points of life, the flowers are so qualitative that it seems to be in California really from the best growers in the world. To remove the stink from the top of the flowers, dust etc. we did the washing of the buds according to the procedure recommended by Luka on Zamnesia, I recommend it to you! Check the article in your language // https://www.zamnesia.io/it/guida-growing-cannabis/333-lavaggio-delle-ceme Fertilizers // I managed to unload this plant relatively here the black was fading on some of the sun leaves, it is not completely fading but for the photos I needed a full wild black. For the reasons mentioned above and for an excellent flavor I prefer Organic, All the fertilizers and additives of Plagron in the green / 100% organic version have fully satisfied me. Choose your soil based on your style and calculate the sheet on the website www.plagron.com - Bro if you are a stubborn type "I don't put anything in it" use additives listen every now and then.... and then come and tell me about it. The nutrients are available in convenient all-inclusive packages on the Zamnesia website. This strain is truly exceptionally Cali, usually plants bred by Europeans don't look so Cali, not this one. ---- https://www.zamnesia.io/en/11187-zamnesia-seeds-black-diamond.html Zamnesia Description // Looking for a potent and reliable feminized strain? Look no further than Black Diamond. This wonderful hybrid crosses Blackberry with Diamond OG, resulting in 90% indica and 10% sativa plants with a respectable THC level of 23%. Growers will love these tall, productive plants, while smokers will enjoy tasty sessions full of sweet aromas and delicious grape flavours. The Black Diamond's qualities continue to shine through when you finally get to sample the flowers. Properly dried and cured, her buds are irresistible, not only for their divine smell but also for their appearance. The predominant aromas in her bouquet are sweet and fruity notes, with the fragrance of grapes taking center stage. You can appreciate these aromas by smoking her in a joint or vaping her, but they will also shine in sweet edibles, and will add a fruity note to your cannabis delights. With their high THC level (23%), these delicious flowers quickly conquer the mind and body with a relaxing and long-lasting effect. The perfect strain to enjoy before a well-deserved rest. Music and Frequencies // For about 4/6 hours a day my plants listen to 432Hz frequencies made especially for their well-being and sometimes a bit of black music to give them those vibrations that only music can give. www.radionula.com All the best that mother nature has to offer is at ---- www.zamnesia.com
