Into week 7 and all is good. All are in flower and swelling out very nicely. Ethos OG Kush is frosty and smells like a citrus grove. Barney's Purple is an absolute beast. Her stretch was impressive for an autoflower and she is almost 48in high. Her flowers are swelling nice and she has become much more fragrant in the last week. Fastbuds Zkittlez is frosty and swelling nice. She is also very fragrant, smelling like sweet candy. Seedsman Pink Kush CBD is doing well, beautiful dark purple flowers and leaves. Lights are still 18/6. No nutes. Monitoring trichomes daily looking for changes in color and clarity in preparation for harvest.

Our Tangerine Dream was born slightly later than her sisters, which is why she finished last; otherwise, in about 10 weeks, she would have done everything, and done well too. The plant has developed a nice cannabis body where it has developed some really juicy, resinous, meatball-shaped flowers. We flushed well, so much so that we can see some natural yellow discharge on the plant's leaves. Ripeness - The trichomes are even more ripe than usual; for me, they're around 40% amber and beautiful red, 40% milky white, and 20% transparent. The plant is slightly sativa-dominant, say about 60%-40%, and for this reason, I didn't want to let it ripen too much to avoid turning it into an indica. I vape a lot during the day and don't want to be distracted. The pistils are 80% red and the rest white. We're ripe for me. 4/1/2023 Week 7- Day 1 of Veg (Day 59 overall) Water Change Day!!! Water was really low it was just above the hump in the Res cutting it close to not having enough water in the system to keep it going. They drank a lot making it close going the full 14 days. I am still going with the previous grows and adding 36 Gallons but even looking at the root I think the SILICA is working and the roots are further along at this point than in previous grows. This next two weeks will watch how much they drink and how low my Res starts getting, and will make a decision on changing the water weekly from here on out or still keep on the plan of every other week until Week 4 of Flower. The plants might force me to flip them soon. Next Wed is the 10 week mark half way through the 20 weeks. The net is Bingo... Which means that If/when the plants hit the net I will have to flip them. The Net is set to the max height that I can let them get based on the Breeders Stretch report 75%. 4/7/2023 Week 7- Day 7 of Veg (Day 65 overall) #3 is 22 inches Tall, #2 is 19 Inches Tall. Net is set at 24 inches. Net is also set as my Bingo point, if they hit the net then I have to flip no matter what to account for the Breeders recommended 75% Stretch allowance. I think I am going to have to flip right at the 10 week mark of the Competition which is Wed 12 Apr. I topped a little, I de-foliated a lot to start getting it ready for the anticipated Flip.

Hi gromies! Been away for a while but back at it again with some improvements to my set up. First of all bought a new tent (Homebox ambient 120×120×220) which has had a HUGE impact on controlling the plants' grow environment. Also bought a new blower (Primaklima whisperblower 800m³). This is really an overkill but it is really easy to keep the temperatures in control with it. In addition I got myself a Lunatek 315 CMH lamp for veg. A great improvement for my vegging. Been thinking about using my CMH lamp alongside with my two LEDs, but haven't had the balls to start messing around, until I have some more info in this area. I am just starting week 7 and now the ladies have started to gather some volume. It's looking really nice so far. My first time growing one single strain (gorilla zkittlez from Barney's farm)😄. It is really interesting to see different fenotypes in a single strain! Two of the plants are significantly lighter shade of green than the other three. I am hoping to see purple colouring in, at least, one of these plants as the grow proceeds. So far everything looks ok.

2024 October 20: Oo my god

The SCROG net was installed on the last day of Week 6, I included a couple pics from that night, to compare with how the plant looked the next day, which was the first day of Week 7. My nerve damaged fingers caused me to be a little rougher with her while the net was going on than I like, but as you can see, she bounced back very quickly and was reaching for the light less than 24 hours after being mangled lol. I will continue to systematically defoliate the upper canopy every night or two for the next several weeks, and will completely strip most everything below the net. Every night or two I'll tuck any branches that need tucking, and will remove any fan leaves covering bud sites. She spread out pretty well in the net, and truth be known i probably could have gotten away with a 6 week veg after, plants are a decent size in the net with the stretch left to go. Flip happens at the end of Week 7 The manganese issue seems to be getting much better by the end of the week. Will keep my pH levels at 5.8 for the remainder of this grow, and any subsequent grows. I also devised a fan mount to save on space in the net. Instead of standing the fan, i simply cut a piece of 1x3 to length, drilled 2 holes in each end, large enough for zip ties to pass through. then I simply zip tied it to the tent poles, took the legs off the fan, and screwed the base to the board. I placed a piece of foam on top, as the screws were a shade long and I was afraid the small protruding tip would eventually puncture the tent. Works much better than expected. No movement in the mount at all.

So far all good..😃

July 6: looking good stating week 11. Nice response to the last round of topping to form a 16 cola manifold. After a couple more days of growth I’ll do another scrog layer to open it up further to the sun. So far so good. 👍 July 7: added scrog net. This is tied to half filled water bottles that can move if the plant catches some wind. Main reason at this growth stage is to help expose the growth tips and to hold down the fan leaves. Basically, I’m doing this instead of tomato cages because cannabis plants are tough and a net is better than a metal cage. July 8: hot 33 C today. Extra water, misting during peak sun, and some seaweed extract in the water. Continuing to mist regularly to make up for low humidity. Plant looks nice and green and vigorous. Growing at more than an inch per day now. July 9; hot again. Misting every few hours and foliar of seaweed extract and potassium silicate to help beat the heat. July 10: hot but this should be the peak day. Re-scrogged using a loose scrog layer. The overnight low here was almost 20 C which is super warm. Started another (third) lazy compost tea. Ingredients in a 5 gallon pail are 4 gallons (16 L) of water, compost, shredded coco coir fibre so bacteria have physical media to grow on, 1 tbsp of seaweed extract and humic acid blend, and 0.8 mL/L of Monster Maxx. About 1.5 tbsp of blackstrap molasses. No pH adjustment yet, and will let stand until end of day to allow some bacterial growth. July 12: made it through the heat wave and she looks great this morning.
