πŸ₯’ Project Blue Tent – Week 6 Pickle Lemon Haze F1 – Pheno B (Folder 14B) Hello everyone, and welcome back to another chapter of Project Blue Tent! πŸ’™πŸŒ± If you're joining the adventure for the first time, welcome! Project Blue Tent follows four individual plants, each documented in its own dedicated diary from seed to harvest. Every plant grows under the exact same lighting, environment, irrigation schedule, nutrition and care. By keeping every variable consistent, we can truly appreciate how each phenotype develops its own unique character while also seeing the impressive uniformity that modern F1 genetics can offer. Today we're checking in with Pickle Lemon Haze F1 – Plant B. ──────────────────────── 🌱 Week Six – A Sea of Green This week the Blue Tent has become exactly what I imagined when this project first began. Instead of four individual plants competing for attention, the canopy is slowly merging into one beautiful sea of green. One small adjustment changed the appearance of the entire tent. Although Plant B measured around 66 cm or so in last week's report, I decided to lower and tighten the SCROG net across the whole tent. That means all four ladies are now sitting at approximately 60 cm, allowing every centimetre of new growth to be directed horizontally through the screen instead of vertically. That's the real objective now. We're no longer chasing height. We're building surface area. Every branch tucked beneath the screen today becomes another future flowering site tomorrow, and every empty square that disappears brings us one step closer to a perfectly even canopy. Plant B continues embracing this process beautifully. ──────────────────────── 🌿 Pickle Lemon Haze F1 – Plant B This phenotype continues showing the same personality she's displayed since the beginning. She's wonderfully balanced. While her sister naturally wants to stretch, Plant B seems perfectly happy expanding outward, producing a dense framework filled with healthy side branches. The recovery after topping now feels like a distant memory. Every new shoot is developing with confidence, and the canopy is becoming fuller with each passing day. The stems continue thickening, the internodal spacing remains compact, and perhaps my favourite observation of all... The foliage. The leaves have developed that rich, healthy green colour every grower loves to see. It's the kind of colour that quietly tells you the plant is comfortable. Comfortable roots. Comfortable environment. Comfortable nutrition. Sometimes healthy plants don't need dramatic stories. They simply grow. ──────────────────────── πŸ•ΈοΈ The Beauty of SCROG Every day begins almost the same way. Open the tent. Look across the canopy. Find a few branches reaching above the screen. Guide them gently into the next empty square. Done. It's one of those techniques that rewards patience far more than force. There are no dramatic bends or stressful training sessions. Just small daily adjustments that slowly transform individual plants into one unified canopy. Looking across the Blue Tent now, it's becoming harder to tell where one plant finishes and another begins. That's exactly what a healthy SCROG should look like. ──────────────────────── 🌑️ Blue Tent Environment The environment continues providing exactly what these ladies need. Average conditions remained: β€’ 🌑️ Day Temperature: 30Β°C β€’ πŸŒ™ Night Temperature: 25Β°C β€’ πŸ’§ Relative Humidity: 58% β€’ πŸ₯₯ Root Zone Temperature: 24Β°C β€’ πŸ’¦ Nutrient Solution Temperature: 18Β°C β€’ βš—οΈ pH: 5.8 β€’ ⚑ EC: 1.92 mS/cm β€’ πŸ’¨ COβ‚‚: Approximately 450 ppm β€’ πŸ’‘ Light Schedule: 18/6 β€’ πŸ’§ Irrigation: 1.2 litres per plant per day Despite the warm weather outside, stable conditions inside the tent continue allowing the plants to recover effortlessly from training while maintaining vigorous vegetative growth. ──────────────────────── πŸ₯₯ Feeding & Irrigation One thing I've learned over the years is that consistency often produces better results than constant adjustments. Since increasing the feeding slightly a couple of weeks ago, the plants have responded exactly as I hoped. The richer green colour has returned, growth remains vigorous, and there are no signs suggesting the recipe needs changing. Current feeding schedule: β€’ Plagron Hydro A β€” 1.9 ml/L β€’ Plagron Hydro B β€” 1.9 ml/L β€’ Plagron Hydro Roots β€” 1 ml/L Each plant continues receiving approximately 1.2 litres of nutrient solution every day through the Mars Hydro automatic drip irrigation system. The automatic drainage system removes the runoff beneath the grow bags, preventing nutrient buildup around the roots while keeping the growing area remarkably clean. It's one of those systems that quietly does its job every day while making the entire grow more consistent. ──────────────────────── πŸ“Έ Looking Closer – Discovering a Different World One of the greatest joys of documenting these diaries has nothing to do with nutrients or training. It's photography. More specifically... Macro photography. Most people look at a cannabis plant and see leaves. A macro lens tells a completely different story. Suddenly the stems become covered in thousands of tiny protective hairs. The beautiful purple pigmentation running through the branches begins revealing itself in incredible detail. Young leaves show delicate textures that are almost impossible to appreciate with the naked eye. Even the smallest leaf veins become intricate natural patterns. The more time I spend behind the camera, the more I realise how much beauty exists in places we normally overlook. Macro photography has changed the way I walk through the grow room. It slows me down. Instead of simply checking on the plants, I find myself truly observing them. Every stem. Every new leaf. Every tiny detail nature has quietly been creating all along. Growing teaches patience. Macro photography teaches appreciation. Together they've made me enjoy this hobby even more than I already did. ──────────────────────── 🌿 Looking Ahead The mission for next week remains simple. Continue filling the SCROG. Maintain the stable environment. Trust the process. The canopy is becoming flatter every day, and with each branch finding its own place beneath the screen, the excitement for flowering continues to grow. There is still plenty of work ahead. But there is absolutely no rush. Healthy plants reward patience. ──────────────────────── πŸ’™ Thank You A huge thank you to Zamnesia for making Project Blue Tent possible, from these outstanding Pickle Lemon Haze F1 genetics to the complete ecosystem surrounding this grow. A heartfelt thank you to Plagron for providing the Premium Growbags together with the Hydro nutrient line that continues producing vigorous growth and beautifully healthy plants week after week. A special thank you to Phytonaut for the outstanding LED lighting, delivering compact growth, incredible structure and a wonderfully even canopy throughout the Blue Tent. A sincere thank you to Mars Hydro for the automatic drip irrigation and drainage system that has brought consistency, cleanliness and simplicity to every day inside the grow room. Thank you to GrowDiaries for providing growers around the world with a place to document their journeys, share knowledge and continue inspiring one another. And finally... Thank you to every one of you following Project Blue Tent. Whether you've been here since germination, recently discovered these diaries, leave comments every week or quietly follow along from the background, your support truly means the world to me. Every week these plants teach me something new. I hope, through these diaries, they're teaching a little something to all of us. Until next week... Growers Love, happy growing, and I'll see you all soon. πŸŒ±πŸ’™

12/30/23 - Day 54 - Hello All! I started this week a day early. I wanted to update everyone on something I have been thinking about a lot. Curing. I feel if there was a hole in my growing skills it would be curing. Last grow there was more than I had anticipated. I was not set up for curing 1 lb. I threw in an audible at the last minute. It worked out but I know I can improve with some trial and error and hands-on experience. So after reading a ton, and going off of some of my prior builds for drying, I came up with this design. I have a controller that will turn the air on and will run when the contents inside the box hit whatever RH% I want to set it at. I think the first week I will set it for 78%RH, then every couple of days go down a % until I hit 62%. The thought is that if the bucket gets above the set RH% then the air will kick on and distribute air across the buds until the RH% is back down to where you want it. It will force the humidity out. I won't need to worry about burping. It will happen on its own.... in theory. Ill update tomorrow with some pictures after the water change. 12/31/23 - Day 55 - Everything is looking good. The water change completed this morning while I was in the shower. Its adding nutes now and will do so over the next hour or so. She is starting to get stinky. I had to add the extra carbon filter to the room. I've got some pics up top of that. Happy New Year! Next time I post it will be in 2024! Have a great night and be safe! Dont drink and drive, your life and anyone else involved in an accident is too important! C' YA! 1/4/24 - Day 58 - I have been thinking of trimming her for a while.... I got a comment on the bushy-ness and I got self-conscious and gave her a trim. Lol I have been going bath and forth for a while and that gave me the push to give her a little trim. She looks great and is growing really quickly. Ill update with more pics as it goes along.

Today 23/07/22 We are two days into week 5, never talked about nutrient or water’ problems I had some leaves with few yellow marks but very small one beside that I always saw my plants green and happy, here you can see the scrog I set up yesterday not sure if this will work better but I think will help the branches grow further from the others increasing the light they riceve! I made it myself I will order one for the next grown when I will get my grow box! The watermelon is already flowering but the northern light no so today I started feeding the plants with different preparations.. I kept on giving the grow booster with a bit of bloom booster and viceversa for the watermelon! If you have any tips anything you think I’m doing wrong or you see it’s not ok let me know I don’t grow in a box I grow between the curtains and my window so the environment wasn’t always the perfect one

Asal got a trim to open up the air flow and a LST to spread the canopy a little more. Thinking I am done with the lateral spread at this point. Benesh got the same treatment. Asman has been taking the hits when I have overdone the LSTing. Thank goodness for masking tape and time to repair!

Well, as it's been 8 full weeks now it's time to change to flora, today the 24th of July 2023 I'm changing the time from vega to flora so they will take 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness thus starting the flowering phase, today I should have watered with top bloom from top crop but it ended up that I watered only with water and I'll wait for the next watering I'll already water with top bloom from top crop and let's see what these beautiful girls do, I was going to leave another time in vega another two weeks apparently i'm going to move so i don't know if i'm going to have much time left in this house so i'm going to take advantage of the time i have and already putting them to bloom

I managed to turn the negative heat temperature in to something positive by introducing co2 to the environment. As a result of the diy co2 method some of branches grew up by 1.5 inches in 2days! Will continue to utilise co2 in the box for now. I also had to adopt the defoliation method Way to many leaves could cause problems by raising the moisture level in the box. As a result of the defoliation a lot of light is reaching the bottom of the box. Which means I can grow other small plants in the box. I switched to bloom NPK ratios. Slowly introducing the raw mix. It’s doing fine and as allways no tip burns

Great week for these plants. They are super healthy and moving along right through the early weeks of flower. 🌱 I've only been giving them water as I use organic compost as a meduim and they are very happy. 😎 The plant on the right is already very pungent.😡

Week 5 for 9lb hammer F2, They have been moved outdoors to make space in the indoor tent. They have been topped also but still being kept in the shade as they have only gone outside 2 days ago. The mulch to keep her soil cool is just straight up hay (going for as low spending costs as possible) which i had laying around the garden already from a few years agoπŸ˜‡ Looking forward to seeing how they react being moved outdoors.

Started flush now. I'm adding Nature Delight Active Sugar Boost as it's been recommended to boost terpene production. No idea if it will work this late into flower but trying anyway as apparently it has no need to be flushed and is fully organic.

Sidecar Strain description from breeder: Genetic Background: Strawberry#13 x Mimosa Type: Feminized Sativa 60% Indica 40% THC: CBD: Yield Indoor : gr/m2 Height Indoor: 0 - 0 cm Flowering time: 8 - 9 weeks ( 58 - 65 days) Aroma:
Effect: Expectations and training method: I know these genetics are a bit delicate so I’ll be taking things very easy. The breeder suggests topping and training the branches because she can grow fast and tall. By what I’ve seen from the local growers, she can produce some savory chunky buds which is what I’m aiming for. I’ll follow the breeder’s suggestion and Top/LST which is what I’ll be doing to almost all my other strains as well on this run. As for the yields I’m not expecting much given the numbers I got from local growers. No more than 40 grams per plant but always aiming for more. I’ve already smoked this strain grown by the breeder and other local breeders, which is what made me want to grow it myself. I expect nothing but trichomes and terps from these ladies. πŸ’™ Project Blue Tent – Week 14 πŸ’™ 🌈 Blue Waffle F1 – Pheno A ❄️ WOW FACTOR: COLOURS, DENSE FLOWERS, INCREDIBLE AROMA… AND A NEW COLLABORATION! Hello everyone, and welcome back to another chapter of Project Blue Tent! πŸ’™πŸŒ± My friends… WOW. JUST… WOW! πŸ˜‚πŸŒˆβ„οΈ Have you ever walked into your grow room, looked at your plants, and thought, how on earth did we get here? Because that's precisely how I'm feeling right now! The colours, the flower formation, the density, the frost, the aroma… everything is coming together beautifully, and Blue Waffle F1 Pheno A is giving us another reason to stand there admiring the plants instead of getting anything else done. Welcome to Week 14 of flowering, where the major structural work is behind us, the ecosystem remains stable, and the girls are continuing their journey towards the finish. This week, we're not making any major changes to the environment or nutritional program. No new adjustments to the temperatures. No changes to our humidity target. No changes to the current feeding recipe. We're keeping things steady, observing the plants, and allowing them to continue developing. And honestly, when you see what's happening inside this tent, you'll understand why I'm perfectly happy to keep the cameras ready and let the girls do their thing! But we also have something new to introduce this week. We're welcoming Hemp Hooks as a new collaboration, and although we'll explore their products more extensively in upcoming runs, we're already using them in this one. Plus, there's a little surprise waiting for our Discord community: we're giving away Mr. Baggy, our fluffy alien bean! πŸ‘½πŸ’™ So we've got beautiful flowers, a new collaboration, a giveaway, and another chapter of our growing adventure to share. Let's get into it! 🌿 SAME TENT. SAME ECOSYSTEM. SAME CONDITIONS. Before we focus on Pheno A, let's look at the bigger picture. Project Blue Tent brings together four plants from two different cultivars: Blue Waffle F1 and Pickle Lemon Haze F1. All four girls share the same tent, the same general environmental conditions, the same irrigation system, the same reservoir, and the same nutritional program. We've spent weeks establishing the structure, managing the canopy, organizing the branches, and putting the lighting and irrigation systems in place. Now, we're at a point where the plants are doing much of the talking themselves. And that's one of the most interesting parts of this project. Even with a shared environment, individual plants can express different characteristics and progress at different rates. The Blue Waffles and Pickle Lemon Haze girls don't necessarily follow identical timelines, and that's exactly why we're documenting them separately. We want to see what each plant brings to the table. And Blue Waffle F1 Pheno A? She's bringing the WOW factor! The flowers are looking beautiful, the colours are becoming increasingly impressive, and the aroma throughout the room is absolutely fantastic. Meanwhile, we're keeping the wider ecosystem stable and continuing to observe all four plants as they approach the next stage of their journey. We're not trying to force a particular result. We're documenting what happens. Four plants. Two cultivars. One shared ecosystem. And every girl deserves her own chapter. πŸ’™πŸŒ± 🌈 BLUE WAFFLE F1 PHENO A – THE WOW FACTOR IS REAL! Let's talk about this beautiful girl. Seriously, where do I even begin? The first thing that catches my attention is the overall appearance of the flowers. They're dense, compact, beautifully formed, and surrounded by a visual combination of colours that makes this phenotype incredibly photogenic. We're seeing those beautiful green tones alongside blue and purple shades, reddish accents, and orange pistils. It's a spectacular combination! Of course, the expression of colour is influenced by genetics, maturity, and environmental conditions, and we can't attribute every shade to one specific factor without further evidence. But we don't need to invent an explanation to appreciate what we're looking at. The result is beautiful. And that's what I want to document. The plant has developed within the structure we've established over the previous weeks, and now the flowers are becoming the main attraction. Remember the earlier stages? The topping. The training. The canopy management. The SCROG nets. The defoliation. All those weeks of work helped establish the framework we're looking at today. Now, we're observing the results while allowing the plant to continue developing. And when I look at Pheno A, I see a beautiful combination of structure, flower formation, colour, and aroma. She's looking absolutely outstanding! πŸ˜‚πŸ’™πŸŒˆ ❄️ DENSE FLOWERS, FROST, AND BEAUTIFUL BUD FORMATION One of the most satisfying things about this stage is being able to appreciate the flowers in detail. The overall structure is established, and our attention is increasingly focused on the developing buds. The flowers have a dense, compact appearance, with visible trichomes across the buds and surrounding sugar leaves. And the photographs really help us appreciate those details. From a distance, we can see the overall shape of the flowers and how they sit within the canopy. Get closer, though, and there's a completely different world to explore. The textures. The pistils. The trichomes. The intricate structure of the developing flowers. It's one of the reasons I enjoy macro photography so much. It gives us the opportunity to document details that might otherwise go unnoticed. And Pheno A is giving us plenty to photograph! The flower formation is beautiful, the frost is impressive, and the colours make every new angle worth exploring. I'm not going to pretend that every flower looks identical or that every part of the plant develops at exactly the same pace. That's not what we're trying to show. We're documenting this particular phenotype as she progresses, and the photographs give us another way to follow that development. The wow factor is definitely happening in this tent! πŸ’™β„οΈπŸ“Έ 🎨 COLOURS THAT MAKE YOU STOP AND LOOK The colour development deserves its own moment. Because, my friends, this is one of the details that makes Blue Waffle F1 Pheno A so enjoyable to document. We're seeing a beautiful mixture of shades throughout the flowers, creating an appearance that changes depending on the angle, the surrounding foliage, and the lighting under which we're viewing her. The darker tones contrast beautifully with the lighter pistils, while the green foliage provides another layer of colour. It's the sort of plant that makes you want to take one more photograph. And then another. And then another! πŸ˜‚πŸ“Έ We're not going to assume that the colour alone tells us exactly how close the plant is to harvest. Instead, we're looking at the complete picture. The flower development, the trichomes, the changing pistils, and the overall maturity of the plant all help us assess how the final stage is progressing. For now, Pheno A is giving us an absolutely beautiful display. And I'm genuinely curious to see how her appearance develops from here. We're getting closer to the finish, but we're not putting a date on it simply because the flowers look impressive. We'll keep observing and let the plant show us what comes next. πŸŒˆπŸ’™ πŸ‘ƒ THE AROMA – THIS ROOM SMELLS INCREDIBLE! Now, let's talk about something the photographs can't show you. The smell! πŸ˜‚πŸŒΈπŸ’™ The aroma throughout the room is becoming increasingly noticeable, and it's another part of the experience that makes spending time with these plants so enjoyable. Pheno A is looking fantastic, and the overall aromatic experience inside the tent is equally impressive. Of course, photographs can show us the flower structure, colours, and visible trichomes, but they can't communicate what we're actually smelling. That's something I can only describe from my own observations. I'm not going to invent a detailed terpene profile or assign specific aromas without properly documenting them. What I can tell you is that the smell is beautiful, the room is wonderfully aromatic, and this girl is giving us plenty of reasons to keep enjoying the journey. The appearance, the flower formation, and the aroma are all coming together to make this another memorable week. And honestly, my friends, I'm loving every minute of it! πŸ’™πŸŒΈ ? NEW COLLABORATION – WELCOME TO THE PROJECT, HEMP HOOKS! Now, let's introduce something new! We're happy to announce our collaboration with Hemp Hooks. 🌐 Website: https://hemphooks.com/ And yes, we're already using the hooks in this run! Although we'll explore the products in more detail during upcoming runs, I wanted to introduce them now because they've already found a useful place in our setup. Hemp Hooks are designed to help with plant training, but in this particular run, I'm using them primarily to support branches and help keep them separated. And when you look at the flowers developing throughout the canopy, you'll understand why keeping the branches organized can be useful. We have dense flowers, an established structure, and branches that need to be managed without constantly rearranging the entire plant. The hooks give us another option for supporting and positioning branches where needed. Rather than treating them only as a training accessory, I'm exploring how they can help us maintain the structure we've already established. And that's an important distinction. We're not going back to major training sessions or trying to reshape the entire canopy at this stage. We're using the equipment to support the existing structure and keep branches apart where necessary. It's a practical application that fits naturally into this phase of the project. We'll have more opportunities to explore Hemp Hooks in future runs, where we can document their use from earlier stages and investigate additional applications. For now, I'm pleased to introduce this new collaboration and show how we're already incorporating the products into our growing environment. Welcome aboard, Hemp Hooks! πŸ’™?🌱 πŸ’Έ A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR THE COMMUNITY! Hemp Hooks have also provided a discount code for our community. Discount code: DogDoctor Enjoy 15% off your entire order when shopping through their website, subject to the partner's applicable terms. 🌐 https://hemphooks.com/ If you've been looking for a way to support and organize your plants, take a look at their products and see whether they suit your setup. And as always, thank you for supporting the collaborations that help us continue documenting Project Blue Tent. πŸ’™ πŸ’‘ LIGHTING – THE SAME SETUP, THE SAME APPROACH The lighting setup remains unchanged this week. Our main LEDs continue providing the primary illumination from above, with the overhead output running at approximately 90% as we continue the gradual reduction introduced in the previous update. The idea is to avoid sudden changes and manage the lighting progressively as the plants approach the final stage. We're also continuing with the two LumiFlora 150W full-spectrum under-canopy fixtures. They're arranged in the established X-cross configuration beneath the canopy, supplementing the overhead lighting. For now, we're maintaining the same general approach to their output, around 90–95%, while observing the plants and the development of the lower flowering sites. We're not introducing a new lighting experiment this week. We're continuing with the setup we've already established and recording the plants' development under those conditions. That's an important part of keeping the project consistent. If we're changing every parameter at the same time, it becomes more difficult to understand what we're actually observing. So, for this week, we're keeping the lighting setup stable and concentrating on the plants themselves. The flowers are developing beautifully, and we're looking forward to seeing how they continue progressing. πŸ’‘πŸŒΏ 🌑️ ENVIRONMENT – NO CHANGES THIS WEEK One of the most important things about this week's update is that we're not making further environmental adjustments. We've already started lowering the temperatures as part of our approach to the final stage of flowering. Now, we're maintaining those conditions and observing the plants. Our current environmental reference is as follows. Day air temperature: approximately 25Β°C. Night air temperature: approximately 19–20Β°C. Relative humidity: approximately 55% under normal room conditions. Solution temperature: approximately 21Β°C. Substrate temperature: approximately 21Β°C. These are the conditions we're maintaining for the room as a whole. Because all four plants share the same tent, these settings apply to Pheno A and her sisters. And it's worth remembering that environmental readings can fluctuate temporarily when I'm inside the room working, moving equipment, taking photographs, or checking the plants. That's why I distinguish between temporary readings and the normal operating conditions we're aiming to maintain. For this week, we're keeping things steady. No new temperature adjustments. No new humidity adjustments. Just continued monitoring and documentation. Sometimes the most useful thing you can do is give an established environment time to settle while you observe the plants. And that's exactly where we are right now. 🌱 πŸ’§ IRRIGATION – KEEPING THE SYSTEM CONSISTENT The irrigation and drainage setup also remains unchanged. All four plants continue sharing the reservoir and irrigation system, allowing us to maintain a consistent nutritional approach throughout the tent. The recorded watering volume remains approximately 1.6 litres per plant over 24 hours. As always, that's the recorded reference value rather than a guarantee that every individual plant consumes exactly the same amount under every condition. We continue monitoring the system and observing the plants. The goal is to maintain consistency without introducing unnecessary changes when the setup is already working as intended. At this stage, the flowers are the main focus, and we want the irrigation system to continue supporting the plants without demanding constant intervention. So we're keeping the established arrangement in place and documenting what happens. πŸ’§πŸŒ± βš—οΈ NUTRITION – THE SAME RECIPE, THE SAME CONCENTRATION As explained in our previous reports, we've already made the nutritional adjustments for this stage. We're no longer using PLAGRON Green Sensation. We've reduced Hydro A and Hydro B, while keeping Power Buds in the current recipe for now. This week, we're not making any further changes. The current recipe is as follows. PLAGRON Hydro A: 1.8 ml/L. PLAGRON Hydro B: 1.8 ml/L. PLAGRON Power Buds: 1 ml/L. PLAGRON Green Sensation: discontinued. PLAGRON pH Plus and pH Minus: used as required for pH adjustment. Our current recorded readings are approximately pH 5.96 and EC 1.86 mS/cm. The pH target remains close to 6, with small variations managed according to the actual measurements. The reduction in nutrient concentration was part of our earlier adjustment, and we're now maintaining the updated recipe. We don't need to change the feeding program every week simply to make the report look different. The important thing is that the diary reflects what we're actually using and that we continue monitoring the solution and the plants. So, for Week 14, the nutritional program remains unchanged. Same recipe. Same general concentration. Same approach. And another week of observing how these beautiful girls progress. πŸ’™πŸŒ± ? A LITTLE EXTRA SUPPORT FOR THOSE BEAUTIFUL BRANCHES The introduction of Hemp Hooks fits naturally into another aspect of the project: maintaining the structure we've already built. Earlier in the run, we invested considerable time in topping, training, canopy management, and SCROG. Now, the structure is established, and we're not looking to repeat those major interventions. Instead, we're using the hooks to support branches and help keep them separated where necessary. It's a simple addition, but it's useful to have another option available when working around a developed canopy. And with the flowers looking as beautiful as they do, I'm happy to keep the branches organized without making unnecessary changes to the plants. We'll explore Hemp Hooks further in upcoming runs and document more of their applications. For this run, we're showing how we're using them as part of our existing approach. If you'd like to check them out, remember our community discount. DogDoctor – 15% off your entire order. Website: https://hemphooks.com/ Thank you to Hemp Hooks for joining us on this adventure! πŸ’™? πŸ” ARE WE GETTING CLOSE TO THE FINISH? My friends, this is the question! Looking at the flowers, the colours, the density, and the overall development, I feel we're moving closer to the end of this journey. But how close? That's another question entirely! πŸ˜‚πŸŒΈ I'm not going to invent a harvest date just because the plants are looking beautiful. We'll continue observing the trichomes, the pistils, the overall flower maturity, and the condition of each individual plant. And because we're growing two different cultivars in the same environment, we need to remain open to the possibility that they won't all finish at the same time. The Blue Waffles and Pickle Lemon Haze girls are sharing the same conditions, but their individual development may still differ. That's part of what we're documenting. Will the whole room finish together? Will we have to approach the harvest in stages? Will one cultivar need more time than the other? Let's see! For now, the plan is simple: maintain the established environment, keep the current feeding recipe, observe the plants, and let their development guide our decisions. No rushing. No guessing. Just patience and good documentation. πŸ’™πŸŒΏ πŸ‘½ MR. BAGGY GIVEAWAY – COME JOIN US ON DISCORD! Now, let's talk about something fun! 25/11 Day 73 already and starting another week (week 4 since I changed the photoperiod); budlets are not completely formed but still look like more of preflowers. She continues to stretch, she's growing 4-5 cm per day, a complete beast. I think she could be stretching more before the aspect of the preflowe/budlets cahnge much. Comparatively with the pictures of other Grinspoon's growers, the flowering stage is going on very slowly...well I thought the same when she was at vegetative stage, I saw everybody's Grinspoon specimen was much bigger and much sooner than the one of mine, but in the end her growth has been so big that I 'd have liked better she hadn't grown that much. She's entirely taken over the grow room! The light spectrum I use does not promote much stretching per se, as I've seen it on many other hybrid strains in the last two and a half years since I have this system. It's a 80cm*80cm*160 cm grow box (Darkbox) and so far I think the environment for the plant is, in general, let's say fine (except perhaps the hottest days of summer and the coldest days of winter). Humidity is a little high, becuase my place is humid and I don't specailly control it but I'd guess it is roughly 60% HR throughout the year. Being that said, I blame this stretching entirely to her genes and yes, my lack of caution to have prevented all this enormous growth from happening. Really I didn't want to regret later, of not having the size of the plant I wanted and also for not knowing how much she would stretch (I wouldn't have thought this much) I let her grow more than I should have. But one learns from his mistakes and by growing new strains, every strain has different phenos and one never knows which is destined to one's plant. The fertigation solution is now 0.5 mL/L Pro-Silicate; 1,3 mL/L Cal-Max; 0,4 g/L Flower Power Bloom fertilizer at pH 6.1-6.2, EC is 1.35 mS/cm and I raised the fertigation volume to 6L keeping the frequency. Day 74 (26(11) she keeps on stretching, I'm seeing another way to raise the lights the maximum I can, I see the budlets forming more definitely so I don't think she'll be stretching much longer, perhaps and luckily this week she stops doing it. Meantime all I can do is keeping the tallest shoots out of the line of the led lights to prevent bleaching of the leaves or the budlets being burnt. God help me with this. I'll post some pics tomorrow if I have more time. My plants do take more than 60% of my free time at home (but I <3 growing marijuana). Day 75 (27/11) I used a few hooks from the bathtub's curtain to hold the growlights and managed to raise them a precious distance. Day 76 (28/11/2019) i jumped off the bed to assess the sitaution and evertyhing was normal, a big blade burned it tip for proximity to a led light, but the bud tips seem no to be damaged -yet-because of the strong lights/heat. One fertigation (inflow EC 1.35 mS/cm. EC run off 1,5 mS/cm) "en dan ben ik klaar met haar". Day 77 29-11-2019 she keeps growing tall and she's become something almost unmanageable. A couple of shoots have surpassed the lights. If only they won't be burned πŸ™ Day 78 (30/11) She seems to be stopping growing. When I saw her I realised extraction fan was gone, fortunately being Saturday I could find a replacement soon. I find that run off pH is 5.3 (collected at the last portion the run-off, 2nd fertigation of the day. Isn't it a little too acidic to leave this issue untreated? Day 79 (01/12) after a reply from @knut at cocoforcannabis.com I am advised not to take in consideration runoff pH but to take care of pH in and EC "in", as for the runoff, just checking EC, because pH varies for the interaction between nutrients and is of zero interest, so I was told. The extractor is working fine and it is a lot more silent than the older one. Last for today, I'd say I'm happy she seems to have completed the stretching phase, although there are a few shoots at scarce centimeters from the ceiling of the box as a consequence. The other shoots are fine, at a reasonably good position from the lights. It was very hard times with these last weeks and the damned stretching. If I had to evaluate the growing difficulty of this strain, I'd say "quite hard" because she's pretty much unmanageable at the stretching phase, unless proper caution measures be taken before it's too late. Day 80 (2/12/2019) To end week 12 (4th week flowering) I see it seems that stretching phase is over so I can breath again. She still may be growing one or two centimeters, that I dunno for sure, but judging from the accelerated rate of stretching I have seen since the last two weeks, it appears that she won't get taller. She's almost tocuhed the ceiling :/ I see a slight swelling of the baby buds, like the calixes that are starting to form.
