Grow Diaries: Happy Harvest Journal Entry – The Northern Lights Sisters

Overview & Harvest Celebration
The journey for the Northern Lights autoflower sisters (Charlotte and Michaela) has officially reached its rewarding conclusion. Following a meticulous harvest schedule—with Michaela taking the big chop on August 7th and Charlotte following closely on the morning of August 10th—the buds have been successfully trimmed, dried in the custom cardboard drying chamber equipped with a canister fan and bamboo rods, and transferred into glass mason jars for the curing process.
The Marathon Timeline: A 17-Week Journey
One of the most notable takeaways from this particular grow cycle is the sheer duration of their development. Combined, their entire vegetative and flowering stages stretched across a remarkable 17 weeks. While this is an unusually long timeline for autoflowers, the sisters definitely utilized every single day of that extended span. They poured all that extra time into stacking dense bud sites, heavily packing on the trichomes, and developing a robust structure that rewarded our patience.
Final Yield & Quality
After completing the drying phase and transitioning into jars, the final tally for the Northern Lights harvest came in at a solid 2.3 oz. Opening the jars reveals a fantastic aromatic profile, dense resin-coated structures, and top-tier flower that stands as a true testament to the dedication poured into this grow. I will do a Smoke Update as soon as it's cured.

Having to get into her a few days earlier than I would like. Very light on flavor profile. But she's smooth, give me a nice head high, ready to tackle the pantry.
Aroma & Profile:
The dried flower is a bit light on the nose and subtle on the initial terpene punch, but it cures into a clean, smooth smoke.
Smoke & Effects:
* Quality of Smoke: Smooth and clean burning.
* Potency & High: Solid 6 to 7 out of 10. Delivers a heavy-hitting, carefree body relaxation that wipes away the stress of a long day and leaves you completely unbothered.
Overall Verdict:

The seeds that I thought I found were a false alarm, looked a lot like seeds built up and was super hard in texture but this week it popped and it was just some weird foxtailing I guess.
Trichomes are about 20% clear 60-70% milky and very few ember.
Very certain that I will chop her next week, this time for real.
This grow is a rollercoaster of emotions, that is for sure.

Week 3 – we started LST (Low Stress Training) and gently bent our beautiful girl to encourage better side growth and structure.
She’s around 20 cm tall now and continues to grow strong — everything is going great so far! 💪🌱

Day 79 since seed touched soil.
Like half of light is ocupied by this beauty. Mars Hydro TSL2000 is giving her all sun substitution needed .
Neighbors started to put heating on, so i have heat issues again, temps go between 26 and 30 most. Hopefully terp wont overcook. Nights 19-20. Smell is strong, have flue, still can smell them :)))
In plans 10-14 days more, but maybe ill chop in 7 ;))))
Day 83. Made video about last watering, tried to show great light, but no space at all, girls too tall for setup. 4 days left and i chop everything.

A big hello to all the cannabis growing gardeners...and all the other visitors that came across my grow journal.
Just on harvest day I was summoned on a long quest...around 700 km. will be away for three days. I will update this diary as fast as i"m back. For now just the photos as no time for anything.

Now cannabis smell is overpowering in my grow room I can finally write something about Spider Farmers 6-Inch Inline Fan with Smart Controller and Carbon Filter :)
As my grow room gets really stinky at times i always invest in a top shelf carbon filter almost twice the size of the one provided by Spider Farmer, to my shock Spider Farmer carbon filter absorbs the smells wonderfully well.
No smell leaks and that just when the fan is running at 5 out of 10 levels of output. The smart controller is something completely new to me, and had a lot of fun experimenting with it during the veg and early flower, when the smell began i needed it to run full time at level 4 or 5 to rid the fragnance.
All in all the whole combo is a great deal. If you are not as keen on technology the set without the controller is awesome on it's own. But to have some extra options open, the controller at the device throws at you a ton of settings you can use to optemiase you grow enviornment.
The SE 7000 is hanged at 40 cm. over the canopy and runs at 520W.

Die erste Woche im neuen Topf lief super. Die Blucci OG hat direkt wieder Wachstum hingelegt, was sich sehen lassen kann.
Am Sonntag wird die Zeit auf 12/12 umgestellt

So she really stretched super hard when she geared up for bloom. Over night she hit me with 6 inches of growth. Leaving my grow light far to close for the fragile new growth that was coming in. It was a lot worse mid grow week last week. I re adjusted my lighting SMH. Her tips slightly recovered but They will never fully recover.
Other than that... shes stack amazing. Super bushy and LOTS of budsites. Bunch of donkey dock cola candidates. If I can stop beating em up with light intensity. She spans the full 2x2 like a beast. What an autoflower.
I preventative treated her again with Dr zhymes. Shes due for another shower mid week. Got her on a solid balanced feed. I will adjust levels as needed from here. Until next update. Happy growing and stay lit fam.

10/15 Same stuff, just keeping it stable is all I'm trying to do.
Update 10/18 - Heat was ridiculous this week, had to turn one or more light features off, for example, turned off the HPS -AND- the LED circuit on the Phlizon on the hottest day because inside the tent it was like 91 degrees F. Yeah it may not be the perfect environment, but look at the growth from the 15th til today. Major flowering happening, unless I am tripping. I see a lot more healthy growth now, which in my opinion means the transplant idea was SO WORTH IT. I see a lot of crystals forming now and the tops the leaves are turning more white that I could hav imagined -- with two more weeks at least to go, I think I may have some bomb flowers if I dont fuck anything up.
Northern light to the left in video has more to go and is not as far along as the Vanilla Frosting.
10/20 Added some new nutes for the last two weeks of flower, bubbling like a madman wanting this grow to finish. White Widow (three plants outdoors) will probably finish in the tent, its just really in stasis but it is getting some frosting of its own.
BTW when I smelled the flowers yesterday I was blown away by how awesome they smell, like seriously boutique top shelf aromas going on, this is my first grow indoors and really the first time I have been able to give the attention and care these babies need. I have learned SO much. Especially about stuff I was clueless about before. Like which lights are good. What tent size to get. Ph, nutes, watering, relative humidity, cloning... all new stuff. I have become a better gardener as a result and my 200 sq ft community garden plot is doing way better and I expect next year to be bonkers because I really get the whole ecosystem thing now and how mycorrhizae helps everything. Just been feeding them water this week.
Almost time to chop them down.
Apple fritter is fully cloudy.
Black orchid is half clear half cloudy trichomes and smells fantastic!
The two watermelon candy plants differ in appearance slightly but smell the same, they are both showing cloudy trichomes.

📆 Semana 2:
Gran primera semana, ella ha dado un gran estiron estos días, si sigue así será una gran cosecha.
Esta semana se practica defoliacion, poda de ramas bajas y se le agrega Sticky Fingers .
La carpa está ocupada al 100%, sigue una floracion explosiva gracias a @Marshydro y @Xpertnutrients y @Trolmaster con esta gran genética 💪.

First week flush with off gassed tap water at a ph of 6.5 to 6.9. I'm pushing them extra long and so far results are responsive and look very promising 🍾 . On the suvineer box the seeds came in was labeled with 7 to 8 weeks indoor an 9 to 11 weeks outdoors.
Very happy with this from Victory Seeds ..... dripping with resin. 👌🤪👍

She’s looking much much happier in flowering! I’m not sure how but I’ve grown her bigger than she is rated for maximum height. The end of this week she was 60” or 152cm tall, her rated maximum height was 39” or 100cm so I’m a good 50% taller than rated!!

When I brought the LED lamp closer than 30 cm, the tips of the leaves of the plants dried up, fortunately they are fine now.
