Sensi Seeds Jack Herer 8 weeks of veg completed 28th Jan 2020 I performed some high stress training techniques (HST) to my Jack herer Girl during the week. Basically I pinched and bent the stems of the longest branches to make them grow horizontally rather than straight up in the air. I did this to keep the canopy reasonably even giving all the potential bud sites an even distribution of sunlight. Hopefully this will eliminate a lot of the "popcorn" small buds and create nice fat colas. We shall see in a few weeks time 😃 She also got a nice big drink of High tea which the plants really seem to love . Overall I am very happy with this plants health and characteristics. *=UPDATED=* looking about the same again, nothing much is changing other then the new flower growth has slowed and some of the trichomes are turning amber. the one plant has thick buds and the rest are average. Harvest maybe next week or the one after if I get the time I need, I want to first take off all the extra fan leaves "half ass'd defoliation?" and let it sit in darkness for two-three days, help it breakdown some of the chlorophyll and should make the cure much nicer. first time trying this, may leave one plant in normal light and hang dry it to see if it makes a big difference. Had a bit of powdery mildew on some of the lower bud sites and baby leaves on one plant, I believe this was because the fan in the case was broken and not replaced. Corrected it by spraying the area with a peroxide mix and increasing airflow. *=UPDATE=* the one video I uploaded for this week was not working. So retrying it again today.

We've reached the end of the penultimate week. This girl's buds are also very dense, resinous, and fragrant. Based on the trichome analysis, she's at a great point. 😎 In the 15 days before harvest, I start watering only with RO water and a pH of 6.2. At the beginning of the last week, and about 3 days before harvest, I'll flush with RO + Cleanse 10mL.

Bonjour à tous les padawans et les maîtres jedis La semaine 4 est déjà là! Décidément cette plante est vraiment exceptionnelle! Elle représente la force et j'en suis fier 😍 Je me donne pour defi que durant mon LST je fasse faire au tronc un tour sur lui meme. Ma plante est saine le LST ce passe relativement bien je l'ajuste tout les jour je le combine avec la technique du pincage d'Apex cela me permettra d'avoir une canopé plus homogène donc une meilleure pénétration lumineuse et par conséquent un meilleur rendement. Le pinçage est une pratique courante en horticulture. Beaucoup de cultivateurs l'utilisent pour améliorer le rendement de leurs plantations cannabiques ou autres. Il est souvent question de 'taille' des bourgeons apicaux. Cette taille se pratique également mais il n'est plus alors, à proprement parler, question de pinçage. A l'instar d'une taille, le pinçage va permettre de stimuler le développement des ramifications tout en préservant les sommités en vue de la floraison. Il est très utile pour uniformiser une canopée. Pour réaliser le pinçage, il vous suffit de presser 'fermement' la tige [entre le pouce et l'index] aux environs de l'apex jusqu'à sentir un léger 'crAck'. Cela aura pour résultat d'endommager les vaisseaux impliqués dans la circulation de la sève [situés dans le pourtour de la tige], la tige conserve toutefois une certaine rigidité. Pour obtenir le même résultat, il est également possible de vriller légèrement la tige sur elle-même. L'interruption du circuit d'alimentation entre le ou les apex et le reste du plant va provoquer un déséquilibre hormonal qui aura pour conséquence le développement des ramifications antérieures au point de pinçage. Jour 25 j'arrose mon pot normalement avec un quart de son volume en eau toujours avec un PH de 6.3 à cette eau j'ajoute 0.7 gramme de greenhouse feeding enhancer pour favoriser son développement racinaire. Par la suite je n'aurai plus qu'à ajuster mon LST jusqu'au stretch et surveiller mon arrosage, Je pincerai mes apex suivant la pousse de la plante pour uniformiser la canopé. Jour 26 à force de patience et de délicatesse j'ai réussi le défi que je me suis fixé en faisant faire au tronc un tour sur lui meme (photo jour 26) ce défi ma permis d'améliorer grandement la technique du LST. Au-delà de ça cela ma permis de donné au tronc une structure en forme de colonne vertébrale ce qui a pour conséquence une meilleure pénétration lumineuse et une belle canopé homogène. Smells of sweetness and and deep dank musk smell. Buds are far apart but of good quality. She's long and a hungry girl. I left her on water just for the week. Lots of the leafs started showing signs of hunger, but she evened out. Got no mad fade. I removed all of the fan leafs, so maybe there would of been some. Am gonna do my favourite drying method. Gonna push her just before the point of showing signs of stress for water. And then I'll chop her on the stem. Plan on a quick 5 day dry. As my temp is not great. So, a quick dry this way, will give a much better result than a quick dry by heat and losing lots of her potency. Thanks to my sponsors from Original Sensible Seeds for these beans. Good day to all my friends and visitors here on GD. Decided to finally finish this diary, I took my time with his one ;) Now we cut the second POGP auto plant, the first cut you can find in week 17. The plant from week 17 weighted 660g. wet, this one finished at 1,85kg. wet. The girls where autoflower but thanks to me starting this grow in cold day temps (14 degree Celsius) the started flower really late, maybe that's also the reason for all my problems with this strain during the grow?! The two plants where different phenotypes, the smaller one (from Week 17)though small had nice hard flowers, the bigger one as the only plant from four I grew during the growop started foxtailing. Both of them branched nicely the smell was quite strong and awoul xD like gasoline and something rotten, it smelled so bad i checked a couple times under microscope for any signs of mold in the flower and to my suprise I found nothing. Thank God later during drying the smell would subdue to a more generic "hazediesel" smell -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SE7000 done it's magic with this grow as with all my other grow ops. Noch paar Woche…

Bud wet weight : 168,1g of trimmed medium to big sized buds 25,4g of tiny tiny buds/larfs = 193.5 grams of trimmed wet buds. Details on genetics and smoke report above. This, as my first grow, is way more than I ever expected it to be. I haven´t had that much fun and enthusiasm in a very very long time. I can´t even explain the feeling it is to harvest your own cannabis, but I know most of you know what I´m talking about haha. It was really nice to practice LST, even tho it was SO HARD, ´cause I didn´t had barely any space to work since I used a hard pot and did not fill nearly half the size of it and the walls of the pot were really high. It was even difficult to water without dropping water on the lower buds. I haven´t learnt much about defoliation tho, I feel I need to study a little more about the phases you should or should not do it. Also, I discovered thrips are a pain in the ass. I had 2 tough weeks dealing with thrips, but in the end it was alright. I don´t have any humidity control device, which I intend to buy for the next grows. Growdiaries was really helpful for me, it kept me motivated everyday (not that I wouldn´t have had it anyways), the Grow Questions are REALLY useful and all the community is awesome. Thanks to all people that helped me here on GD during this first grow! To conclude it: I am really happy and satisfied with how the grow turned out. They look incredible, it almost feels like I can´t believe it still. Peace. UPDATES: 07/10 : The buds are now dry and already in curing jars, one of them with a Boveda 58% humidity pack. The total grams of the dry buds are: 41.4g (medium to big sized buds) 4.1g (tiny buds) = 45.5 grams! I´m really happy with the results, I thought it would be around 30g so yeah, that´s a really good surprise! In 2 weeks I´ll be back to update the smoke report. Thanks so much for reading! Peace. 09/10 : I managed to fit everything in the same container with some space between them, so now every bud is with the Boveda pack. 14/10: It´s been a week and the smell improved, it still smells a little like hay/plant ( even tho it´s not too dry neither too wet ). 21/10: Now it´s been two weeks and even tho the smell isn´t anymore hay, it´s a lot herbal. I really think the aroma can get better, but the taste is already good enough for me. The smoke report has been done and in case I have something to add, I´ll report here. Week 8! Home stretch now. I'm seeing a few nanners so I'm tempted to pull this week instead of next. Will give them a few days to see how they do with the new reservoir refill and go from there! Lots of crystal build up even if the nanners kick my butt.
