💜 Purple Haze by Zamnesia – Pheno B Week 11 | The Little Frosty Queen Is Starting to Fill Out ❄️💜👑 Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! 🌱💚 And our little Purple Haze Pheno B... She's still not in a hurry. 😂💜 But she's moving. And honestly? That's enough. Because when I look at her this week, I don't see a plant that's standing still. I see a plant that's slowly, steadily, beautifully building herself. She's still one of the smaller girls in the room. She's still compact. She's still very different from her sister. She's still doing everything in her own particular rhythm. But now... I'm starting to see something I really like. She's getting fatter. 👀💜🌸 The flowers are beginning to gain more structure. The plant is starting to look more substantial. And that beautiful frost that has been one of her defining characteristics? Still absolutely everywhere. ❄️❄️❄️ So this week... let's give our little Frosty Queen the spotlight again. Because she deserves it. ──────────────────────── 🌱 WEEK 11 – MOVING FORWARD, HER WAY ──────────────────────── Last week we talked about how she wasn't exactly moving fast. And honestly... that hasn't suddenly changed. 😂 She's not going to wake up tomorrow and decide: "Right, boys and girls, I'm going to catch up with everybody." That's not her personality. She's moving at her own pace. But she's moving. And that's the important part. The flowers are developing. The structure is becoming more obvious. The buds are starting to gain some additional size. And the overall plant is slowly becoming more substantial. She's not exploding. She's not racing. She's simply progressing. One little step at a time. And I actually really enjoy watching that. Because not every plant needs to be dramatic. Some plants tell their story quietly. And this girl? She's definitely a quiet storyteller. 💜🌿 ──────────────────────── 🍑 THE LITTLE BUSH IS STARTING TO GET FATTER ──────────────────────── Okay... THIS is the part I'm particularly happy about this week. She's starting to fill out. 😂🌸 When you look at her structure now, there's a little more substance developing around those flowering sites. The flowers are becoming more defined. They're beginning to gain some volume. And the plant is starting to look less like a collection of individual flowering points... and more like a flowering plant with an actual structure developing around them. That's a really nice transition to watch. Because earlier in the run, so much of her identity was: "She's small." "She's compact." "She's the little bush." And she still is. But now we're starting to add another description: She's the little bush... that is beginning to fill out. 👑💜🌸 And I like that very much. ──────────────────────── ❄️ STILL SUPER FROSTY ──────────────────────── And then... there's the frost. 😂❄️ This girl has absolutely not forgotten what she's good at. She remains one of the most visually frosty phenotypes in this room. The trichomes continue to give the flowers and surrounding sugar leaves that beautiful sparkling appearance. And the closer you look... the more there is to see. It's almost funny. She may not be the largest plant. She may not have the biggest flowers. She may not be moving at the fastest pace. But then you put the camera on her... and suddenly: "Whoa." 😂📸❄️ There she is. The little Frost Queen. And that's something I really love about phenotype hunting. A plant doesn't have to dominate the room in size to stand out. Sometimes one particular characteristic becomes so strong that it creates an entirely different identity. And with this girl... that frost is definitely part of her identity. ──────────────────────── 👭 TWO SISTERS – COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STORIES ──────────────────────── This is where Purple Haze Pheno B becomes especially interesting. Because her sister... Purple Haze Pheno A... is moving quickly. She's stacking. She's developing. She's got that "don't blink" energy. 😂🔥💜 And Pheno B? She's looking at her sister and saying: "Good for you." 😂 "I'll get there when I'm ready." And honestly... I love it. Same genetic line. Same room. Same lighting. Same general environment. Same 12/12 schedule. Same nutritional foundation. And yet... completely different plants. Pheno A has her own expression. Pheno B has hers. One is giving us speed. The other is giving us compact structure and frost. And neither one needs to become the other. That's exactly what makes this experiment so interesting. ──────────────────────── 🌿 VERY DIFFERENT – AND THAT'S THE POINT ──────────────────────── Sometimes people hear "same genetics" and expect the plants to look almost identical. But that's not what we're seeing here. Not even close. These two girls share their genetic family... but they've expressed themselves very differently. Pheno A has that more balanced, fast-moving flowering architecture. Pheno B is shorter. More compact. Denser in her own way. And increasingly defined by that heavy frost. Looking at them side by side is almost like looking at two different interpretations of the same idea. Same genetic language. Different accent. 😂💜 And that's why I love having both of them in the same 8×8. The room becomes the constant. The genetics become the variable. And the plants tell us the rest. ──────────────────────── 🌸 THE STRUCTURE IS STARTING TO SPEAK ──────────────────────── This is probably the other big observation for me this week. Her structure is becoming easier to read. Earlier, there were plenty of little flowering sites. Now we're beginning to see how those sites relate to one another. The flowers are starting to occupy the structure more clearly. They're becoming more substantial. And the plant is beginning to show us what that compact architecture is going to look like as flowering progresses. She's not stretching dramatically. She's not trying to create huge vertical distances. She's building within the space she has. And I think that's beautiful. She's making her own little world. Compact. Dense. Frosty. And increasingly full. 💜🌿🌸 ──────────────────────── 🚶‍♀️ SLOW DOESN'T MEAN NOTHING IS HAPPENING ──────────────────────── This is something I want to emphasize because it's easy to look at a slower plant and think: "She's not doing much." But look closer. She's changing. The flowers are developing. The structure is becoming clearer. The buds are gaining volume. The resin remains extremely visible. The plant is continuing to work. She's simply not doing it at the same speed as some of her neighbours. And that's okay. Actually... it's fascinating. Because the 8×8 Adventure isn't about making every plant race toward the same finish line. It's about watching how each plant gets there. Some sprint. Some jog. Some walk. And some apparently stop for coffee along the way. 😂☕🌿 Purple Haze Pheno B? She's taking the scenic route. ──────────────────────── 💡 SAME PHOTONS – HER OWN INTERPRETATION ──────────────────────── And once again... the room hasn't changed specifically for her. We're still working with the same upgraded lighting setup. The two additional Future of Grow Black Series 600W fixtures remain part of the room. We've reduced their output to approximately: 💡 ~59% power from the plug giving us around: ☀️ ~1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy with intensity naturally changing according to plant height and position. And this girl is receiving those same photons as everybody else. The photons don't care whether she's fast. They don't care whether she's compact. They don't care whether she's the little bush. They arrive. Her leaves intercept them. Her photosynthetic machinery uses that energy. And she decides what to do with it. 😂☀️🌿 And apparently... she's decided to build a very frosty little plant. ──────────────────────── ☀️ MORE CAPABILITY – CONTROLLED OUTPUT ──────────────────────── I continue to really like the lighting setup we've created in this room. The additional fixtures give us more capability without requiring us to run them at full power. That's important. We're not chasing maximum output simply because the equipment can provide it. We're creating flexibility. More available light. More ability to distribute photons across the canopy. And then controlling the intensity to where we actually want it. Approximately 59% from the plug. Around 1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy. And the plants are responding in their own ways. That's the interesting part. Same light. Different biological response. And Purple Haze Pheno B is definitely showing us her own interpretation. ──────────────────────── 📸 THE CAMERA STILL LOVES THIS GIRL ──────────────────────── Honestly... I think this girl is becoming more and more fun to photograph. 😂📸❄️ Why? Because she has so much detail. She's compact enough that there are flowers everywhere within a relatively small space. And when you start looking closely... there's frost everywhere. You move the camera. Another flower. Another patch of resin. Another little structure. Another angle. Another detail. It's almost like exploring a tiny forest. And that's what makes macro photography such a beautiful part of this project. From a distance: "Small flowering plant." Through the lens: "Excuse me... what is THIS?" 😂🔬💎 There's always something hiding in the details. ──────────────────────── 💎 THE FROST IS STILL HER SIGNATURE ──────────────────────── If I had to describe Pheno B with one visual characteristic... it would be frost. ❄️💜 It's simply one of the first things I notice. The resin-covered sugar leaves. The sparkle around the flowers. The little crystalline structures catching the light. It gives the plant a completely different appearance from her sister. And I think that's what makes her so memorable. She doesn't need to be the tallest. She doesn't need to be the fastest. She's got her own signature. And once again... that's the experiment. ──────────────────────── 🌿 LET HER TAKE HER TIME ──────────────────────── I'm really enjoying this stage with her because there's no need to rush. She's not showing us that she wants to sprint. So why would we force her? She's developing. She's building. She's getting fatter. She's getting frostier. She's becoming more defined. That's enough. Sometimes growing is about knowing when to intervene. And sometimes it's about knowing when to leave a beautiful plant alone. With Pheno B... I'm very happy to let her continue doing what she's already doing. 😂🌱 She knows her rhythm. ──────────────────────── 🌸 SMALL PLANT – BIG PRESENCE ──────────────────────── This girl is a perfect example of why I don't like judging a plant purely by size. She's not enormous. She's not filling the entire vertical space. She's not trying to dominate the tent. But she has presence. You notice her. And when you get close... you really notice her. 😂💜❄️ She's beautiful. She's frosty. She's compact. She's becoming fuller. And she's developing her own very distinctive flowering structure. That's enough to make her interesting. More than enough. ──────────────────────── 🔬 ANOTHER WEEK OF PHENOTYPE HUNTING ──────────────────────── Every week, this experiment gives me another reason to appreciate genetic variation. Two Purple Haze girls. One room. And yet... look at them. One is moving quickly. One is moving more slowly. One is building a different architecture. One is staying compact. One is developing a different overall flower expression. And Pheno B is showing us something particularly beautiful: You don't need to rush to make progress. Sometimes slow development creates its own kind of beauty. And I think we're starting to see that now. ──────────────────────── 🔮 WHAT COMES NEXT? ──────────────────────── That's the question. How much more will these flowers fill out? How much more structure will become visible? How much more resin will she develop? And will her pace remain slow... or will she decide to surprise us again? 😂💜 I honestly don't know. And I'm perfectly happy with that. Because we're not here to force the answer. Still not trying to be her sister. And honestly? Thank goodness. Because she's beautiful exactly as she is. 💜❄️👑 She's moving forward. She's beginning to get fatter. Her flowering structure is becoming more obvious. The resin remains one of the most impressive characteristics of this phenotype. And her compact architecture gives her an identity that's completely different from Pheno A. Same family. Different expression. Same room. Different story. Same photons. Different response. And that's exactly why we're doing this. The 8×8 Adventure isn't about creating twelve identical plants. It's about giving different genetics a shared stage... and watching what they decide to do with it. Purple Haze Pheno B has decided: "Keep me compact. Keep me frosty.
