So we had some bad weather last week i decided to harvest the 2 skunks and 2 widows before bud rot got bad. They are currently hanging. I will complete diary in a few weeks after the dry and 10 day vivi cure pack so I can give a smoke report. The end games are doing great i was going to harvest tomorrow bc we were supposed to get rain all day but the weather cleared up now and is supposed to be sunny all week with 45 degree lower temps at night should bring out some more color. No issues with end games at all. So next week will be the final harvest and ill be back with a smoke report. The end games have been without fert for 10 days now and the widows had 2 week no fert before I cut them.

🌸 BlueBerry – Week 4 Flower Update Grower’s Journal | Zamnesia BlueBerry ⸻ 🌱 The Girls Today Our two BlueBerry ladies are 120 cm tall, strong, elegant, and stretching beautifully into the light. Both are showing spectacular frost coverage already at Week 4. 💎 What frost means this early: • Frost at this stage is a sign of healthy resin production beginning early. • It points to strong genetics (thank you, Zamnesia) and a well-balanced environment. • More frost now often means denser trichome carpets later, and with BlueBerry, that classic sticky sparkle is already writing its story. ⸻ 💡 Inner Canopy Light – ICL 300 This week, let’s talk about a special piece of gear: the ICL 300 inner canopy light. • Inner Canopy vs. Under Canopy: • Under canopy lights push light upwards from below, filling shadows. • Inner canopy lights like the ICL 300 spread 300° of light inside the plant structure, wrapping the middle and hidden nodes in usable spectrum. • The result: more even growth, healthier lower bud sites, and improved overall stacking. 💡 Specs of the ICL 300: • Designed for high penetration into dense canopies. • Emits a balanced spectrum that complements the top LEDs. • Reduces “shadow zones” and helps those mid-layer buds become full players, not just secondary fluff. This week, the ICL 300 is clearly doing its work: the whole canopy feels alive, not just the tops. ⸻ ✂️ Defoliation – Light Touch I performed a light defoliation: • Removed some fan leaves blocking major bud sites. • Opened the canopy so light (especially from the ICL 300) could penetrate deeper. Minimal stress, just enough to help airflow and light distribution. At this stage, it’s about balance, not stripping, just guiding. ⸻ 🔄 Quick Recap of the Journey So Far From Cannakan germination in pure water → to early soil boosters with Aptus → to steady veg under Future of Grow, ThinkGrow, and Lumatek Zeus LEDs → to smart environment control with TrolMaster + sensors → now flowering strong, stacked, and sparkling. The girls have walked a legendary path already, just like their name. BlueBerry is not just any strain, it’s a classic, a true legend in the world of medicine. And this run is honoring that legacy with beauty and frost. ⸻ 🔮 Looking Ahead – Week 5+ What to expect: • Heavier bulking as flowers begin to swell. • More trichome coverage, turning frost into snow. • Stronger terpene release (that nostalgic BlueBerry perfume beginning to show). What not to expect: • No more big vertical growth. Stretch is nearly done, from here, it’s all about flower development. ⸻ 💬 Final Thoughts Week 4 is a milestone. The girls stand tall at 120 cm, frosty, thriving, and glowing from top canopy to inner canopy thanks to the ICL 300. Every detail — from careful defoliation to balanced feeding, from genetics to gear, is creating a perfect environment for these legendary BlueBerries to shine. This is only the beginning of their flower story, and they already look breathtaking. 📲 Don’t forget to Subscribe and follow me on Instagram and YouTube @DogDoctorOfficial for exclusive content, real-time updates, and behind-the-scenes magic. WEEK 3 of flower, A lot went on this week. The watering's in between feeding were made up of CAL MAG and SILICA and I boosted the P & K in the feeding, another round of defoliation and a deep watering after the feeding dried up from last week. I have seen a minuscule amount of nutrient burn only on a few leaves, 1 or 2 at most. It looks like the increase in canopy can handle the extra food, If you see the time lapse it was in 8 days and the stretch is very apparent a super speed version at the end ala Gary Numan,

Calmag enter this week, the fruit are more big. Next week im gonna enter the PK from Aptus. One of my plants has a magnesium deficiency I think, I hope that with the calmag it will be fine. The smells are already magnificent, the Glookie looks like a packet of candy! The fruits will start to grow nicely by the weekend with the high PK intake

Just in time for the start of the 5th week, the first pistils appeared, so I started adding Bio-Grow to the fertilizer. The plant now takes up almost the entire surface area of the grow box, but fortunately it has stretched a little and gained some height. The LST was adjusted again and again and a few leaves were removed from time to time so that as many shoots as possible received enough light.

Week 4 of flower and the boys have finally spilled the pollen. It’s bloody everywhere in there so I expect that no bud has gone undefiled😎. The females have all witnessed a pretty significant nitro deficiency now that they’re trying to produce seed instead of flowers. We changed out the nute mix to 1/3 grow and 2/3 bloom and they immediately showed improvement. No slight against Druid at all - we moved to a different brand simply to conserve it for the flowering runs where it really matters👍. The lone separated spicy bitch female that entered flower early is looking really sexy. I very much doubt she’ll have escaped full pollination with this much in the air however. We won’t use any seed from this girl but if we’re lucky we might be able to pull out some sample bud. We’re taking down all the males today now that their job is done and we’ve also decided to harvest from the one specific cum dumpster male that has shown as the most vigorous. Doubt we’ll get around to using it before it’s shelf life expires but u never know. The details on that will be in the harvest entry coming up. Other than that - we’re through the fornication stage and it’s all just keeping the ladies alive until it’s time to extract some seeds👍😎👍. Still workn on the potential cross names - that’s the best part😉. Until next week🤟👊. Background Fingers crossed that these Spicy Bitch regs provide at least one male so that we can back build some stock of it. In the event that does take place we’ve got a single clone of each strain from the previous pollen chuck to sit in the tent with them so they can make babies for the next few months. The whole point of the last year was to start making some foundational genetics for a third generational cross we could call our own. If you’ve been following along than you’ll know that it’s been anything but easy. Our previous pollen picks didn’t pan out at all so we’re back to the drawing board with a new option from ExoticSeeds. This’ll be a 10 plant run with 5 regs and 6 strains for pollination including the strain itself. We’re running in a 2x4 MarsHydro grow tent all powered by a Mars Sp6500. That’s a little more than 600w packed into half the recommended footprint😳. Why? you ask - because we like our buds big and overcompensatory😂. Really, I’m just of the mind that we can pack more light into this space than recommended and get much better results. The math doesn’t lie. At least not as long as I wasn’t high when using the calculator again….. Many thanks to @MarsHydroLED for the opportunity to test run the equipment👊. In addition, we’ve also moved to a new nutrient system - Druid Nutrients out of the Netherlands. They don’t really have a presence on GD yet but you’ll be hearing about them very soon I’m sure. The beauty of this system is that it’s literally a 1 (one) component system for the entirety of the plants grow cycle. It really has changed the game in terms of ease of feeding and maintenance. It’s also very versatile and seems to provide everything needed across multiple different strains in the same ratios. Keep your eyes peeled for these folks. Pretty much a guarantee that they absolutely blow up once more people know about them👍👌😎. Strain Background Spicy Bitch: predominantly sativa, heavy yielder with a daytime kinda trip profile. It’s a cross of Queen Mother and a Pre-2000 AK47. We’ll pull what pollen we can and hope to have a female run out a larger supply of seed for the future. Many thanks to @Exoticseeds for the chance to give these beans a go👍👊. Pollination Strains: Holy Surfer S1 - this is one of the focal points for this cycle. A fellow growmie was kind enough to ship over some S1 genetics I took an interest in. The only ask back was that if I did cross it to send a few his way for testing👍. Shoutout and cheers to @blendmedmedman. Hoping to have something back to ya in short order. For full details on this alluring hybrid option check my buddies link at seedfinder - https://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/Holy_Surfer/Smiling_Tiger/ Northern Lights - this came from a particularly interesting batch of seeds that have shown a very dependable variegation trait. It’s a compact and squat plant requiring very little maintenance. Typical for the strain really. It’s been chosen as an option to potentially mellow out the high , shorten the stature of the resulting hybrid and inject it with some of that mellow indica effect. Boogie Nights - total shot in the dark. Still haven’t even tried the strain myself yet but it was available at the right time and interesting enough to make a salad with. Big thanks to AMS who’ve been nothing short of an excellent seedbank to collaborate with. Expect similar growth characteristics to that of the Northern Lights. Better resilience however. Blueberry - this particular clone is from extremely strong stock. Spliff seeds broke the mold with this strain. She’s lower maintenance than the NL, more resilient than anything else we’ve got on the menu and the terp. Profile on this girl is out of this world. If we can bring any of these qualities to the cross, then it could be magic👌. White Widow - garrghh, I just can’t get away from this particular plant. Again, still haven’t even tested the buds yet and all I can say is that the growth characteristics are extremely vigorous and desirable. This plant is one of 3 unicorns that I have yet to tame due to a combo of extremely bad luck and circumstance. All told, it’s still the same story: a VERY experimental breeding project designed to shotgun a broad swath of genetics against a reliable and dependable Breeder who’s put out proven fire 🔥🤟😎👍.

I didn't happen to weigh this one went as I don't do a whole plant dry. I got real impatient, and it was looking decently cloudy with a little bit of amber as well. Still smells like starburst.

Im a little late on the update this week pictures are still dated tho. I started the mills line this week after flushing and did a bit more lst work on the plant even ended up cloning her a few times just for the fun of it and to help with the canopy. I really like this strain and have been having a lot of fun growing it so having a couple more around is fine by me. I can't wait to see how she produces!!!(especially once I start using the vitalize nutrient solution.)

Inhale for 13s, Exhale for 13s, Inhale for 8s, Exhale for 8s, Inhale for 5s, Exhale for 5s, Inhale for 3s, Exhale for 3s, Inhale for 1s, Exhale for 1s, Alignment. 1.618 More energy, more blueprint. A plant with both standard cellular respiration (occurring throughout the plant, including leaves and stems) and adequate root respiration will have a significantly higher ATP throughput than one restricted to only general cellular respiration in a limited way. Cellular respiration is the fundamental metabolic process that occurs in all living plant cells (roots, stems, leaves, flowers, seeds) to convert glucose into usable energy (ATP). It requires oxygen and produces carbon dioxide and water as byproducts. Root respiration is not a separate type of respiration, but rather a specific instance of cellular respiration occurring in the roots. Roots absorb oxygen from the air spaces in the soil to fuel their energy needs. Roots require a substantial amount of ATP for essential functions like nutrient and water absorption, as well as growth and maintenance of their tissues. The primary form of respiration in healthy plant roots is aerobic respiration, which is highly efficient, yielding up to 30-38 ATP molecules per glucose molecule. Anaerobic Respiration (Inefficient): If roots are deprived of oxygen (e.g., in waterlogged soil), they switch to anaerobic respiration, which is far less efficient, producing only 2 ATP molecules per glucose molecule and also generating alcohol, which can be toxic and kill the plant. Therefore, a plant with healthy, oxygenated roots performing efficient aerobic respiration in addition to the rest of the plant's cellular respiration has a much greater overall ATP production and energy capacity. A soil without organic matter will generally have a low Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). Biochar is often prized for its potential to increase soil cation exchange capacity (CEC), but this effect is highly dependent on the specific properties of the biochar (feedstock and pyrolysis temperature) and the soil type to which it is applied. High-ash biochars, especially those produced at lower temperatures and applied to acidic or sandy soils, can significantly boost CEC by providing abundant binding sites for cations like calcium (Ca²⁺), magnesium (Mg²⁺), and potassium (K⁺). Biochar is more sustainable than typical organic matter for long-term soil improvement primarily due to its high stability and resistance to microbial decomposition, allowing it to persist in the soil for hundreds to thousands of years. This longevity provides a lasting positive effect on soil properties, particularly by increasing the cation exchange capacity (CEC) over time, while regular organic matter breaks down much faster. Biochar generally offers a much higher CEC than coco coir, though specific values vary greatly; while coco coir might sit around 40-60 cmol/kg, biochar can range from tens to over 200 cmol/kg, with sources like Acacia wood biochar or even coconut shell biochar often surpassing coco's capacity due to its porous structure, creating significantly more cation-binding sites for nutrients, making it superior for nutrient retention. Needs to be charged similar to coco but at a much higger rate. But shhhh.. It's a secret. Ancient biochar-rich soils in the Amazon basin (known as Terra Preta) provide evidence of carbon stability lasting over 500 to 2,000+ years. Recommend a balanced ratio of key cations, particularly calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and potassium (K). A widely accepted general "ideal soil" cation saturation ratio is approximately 65-85% Ca, 6-12% Mg, and 2-5% K. That's roughly what I give mine. Can even add N in its NH4+ form
