CANADA DAY UPDATE🇨🇦 THE TRAGICALLY HIP🤘🥁🎸🇨🇦 MY SAYING NOW IS: THE ONLY WAY TO GROW IS WITH THE HYDRO🤘 AND REACH FOR THE STARS WITH MARS🤘🤣. So it's been almost a week under the new MARS HYDRO FC4800 and the girls are loving it.. leaves were straight up like they were at a rock concert just blowing in the wind waving their arms like they are in the moshpit🤣🤣 looked so sweet👍. after a day they have stretched so much I had to raise the light already to keep it at 14 inches above the canopy. Plants grow so uniform under these lights, canopy is always nice and even👍. it has a whiter light than the mars tsw2000. Being side by side in my 8x8 tent, I can really see the difference in the color of light. The FC4800 is more of a white light like natural light. I think it might be the blue uv Diodes they added to the fc series lights. I'm amazed at how good this light is already. Barely any heat comes off it. I can rest my hand on it when the dimmer is at 100% and it's just warm. I have it daisy chained to my TSW2000 and it works awesome👍 and I dont have to reach for the other dimmer to do both. One dimmer controls both lights. When I add more lights I will daisy chain them too and control 4 lights from 1 dimmer👍. I still love my tsw2000. It's been going almost non stop since I got it and no issues at all. I take a picture of the Diodes to see if any have burnt out or anything, everything is fine.  same thing with the heat it gives off is just like the FC4800. I can rest my hand on it without burning me👍. Having both lights on 100% because I in flower now, only raises my temperature about 3°celcius. Make sure you got some calmag and if you use reverse osmosis water (bottled water) or filtered water you will want extra calmag because it's filtered out of it👍. These lights are perfect for every stage of growth for germination to flower. Just use the dimmers to reduce the intensity of the lights for whatever stage you are in. Plus they are easy to raise and lower them with the ratchet straps. MARS HYDRO'S recommended height for different stages is pretty accurate but different strains like different Temps and light sensitivity so that's something to look into, a more Mediterranean strain can take more heat and intense lighting. and you can just follow their recommendations for the height for each stage. I slowly turn it up in the later veg cycle until I'm at 75% about a week before I switch to 12/12 and after about 4 or 5 days into flower I'm at 100% with no heat or light stress👍. Mars hydro is awesome for their pricing for what you get👍. They should cost alot more than other brands but shhhhh don't tell them🤣🤣🤣🤣. Just kidding. they want to stay competitive with every brand but there stuff is always cheaper than SF and vipar etc. They know once you use mars hydro products you won't switch to another brand. Why pay more money for something that isn't as good. I've seen lights cheaper than mars but they are cheaper for a reason. They are built cheaper. My TSW2000 is fairly heavy too. But when it comes to getting lights you want some weight to it so you know it's built strong and sturdy and will last a long time.. I called customer service a few times and they will help you out with any questions you may have about the products and they are very well educated in their products👍 very helpful and very friendly. They are awesome 🤜🤛. I can't say enough about this grow tent too. The thing is a beast. I could use the canvas tent to make a trampoline and i doubt it would break its that thick👍 I've had some cheaper tents made of 600d canvas and they aren't that bad. But when you get a tent made from 1680D canvas material it's insane how strong and heavy it is. Before I put the tent together when I lifted the canvas to start wrapping the frame I said to myself.. LORD TUNDERIN JESUS this has some nice weight to it. It was the easiest tent to put together that I've ever had. I went inside with the lights off and got someone to turn it on after a minute or two to look for light leaks and there was none👍. It even blocks out some noise, so if your fans or filters are loud, once it is zipped up it gets quieter. this tent is awesome with So many ports and vents for whatever you need to hook up to it. It has frame bars down the middle and one vertical pole in the middle to keep it sturdy but the poles are made nice and so thick that they probably didn't even need a vertical bar in the middle. It has 2 separate 4x8 floor trays that divide it into 2 4x8 tents. All you need is a mylar divider to easily divide it in half. I love the stickers it comes with. It's nothing big to some people but I know there is lots of people that like them because you see them everywhere in people's tents and in pictures. I love them they are super cool stickers👍. It really locks in the light and temperature and humidity good. Lots of room for all the equipment I have to go in it and will get to put in it. Be good to bring camping too🤣🤣🤣🤜🤛. Filling out the trellis net. Looks like another 2-3 weeks until I flip the ladies. Using SST’s, LABS and natural inputs for this grow. I have made some mistakes in the past using Organics, but have figured out HOW to use them for an entire grow. The vegetative state, I have never had a problem with. The transition into the first 3 weeks is when I have had the most issues. After a little research and testing, I finally have a basic blue print of how to feed plants in flower for 10-12 weeks now or shorter. Mark Bowell from Perfect Gardens on YouTube and Mr Canucks Grow from Canada are my largest information inputs. Final Thank you to Mr McGooz for keeping me in the know. 10-11: yes, some of the stalks are turning purple. This is not due to phosphorus, magnesium, or any deficiency. It is due to the light being too intense for the plants. I am at the max distance and running the light at 30% ( it’s a 600 watt 🤣🤣). Soooo yeah, that purple is going to stay for a bit. Purple with other leaf discoloration or senescence IS a problem, purple stems with NO leaf issues isn’t serious issue. Cant it be fixed? We are going to find out….Photosynthesis Plus will be on hand in the next 5-6 days. This permits the plant to USE more of the photons ( yes, I have carbon in my media). This should minimize the purple and allow me to UP THE WATTS 🗣️🗣️ 10-14: spoke to my “guide” and we made the decision to go ahead and flower these ladies. We saw how much stretch there is to be had and realized we are currently filling the trellis by 75%. We are estimating the entire 4x4 area to be completely filled. I defoliated and pruned the smaller sites off the lower areas of the plant. Not quite lollipopping, just selectivity choosing sites to keep and bones that will get in the way. For transition I am using a ratio of 1:1:1 on NPK’s to ease the flip. The ppm’s will be between 750-800. Once we reach early flower, we switch the NPK’s to 1:3:2 ( flower girl by Dr Earth OR Fish bone meal and langbenite). I switch each feeding between the two for 5-6 weeks. At week 7 we switch to 0:3:3 ( seabird guano and Langbeinite) at 500 ppm’s. Week 8 the same feed. Week 9 kelpseaweed/water Only ( these are 10 week cultivars). Thank you for taking the time to read. 10-16 😍😍😍 Plants are starting to show deficiencies!!! Yes, normally one freaks out 😂😂😂 The slight deficiency is a sign that I can go ahead and start: The Flowering Cycle. When using Organics, you have to use your eyes because nothing is specific. Meaning: you have to see when the amendments are running out to A: Top Dress B. Make compost teas. We are going the compost tea route for flower. I made a video showing exactly what I use. The ratio is 5-5-5 ( yes earlier we were going to use 2-2-2, but we found out there is no calcium or magnesium in the all purpose mix by Dr Earth…another reason to learn to read your plants).

She's looking good, she's 21 days and for me she's a little bit small, let's see how she performs,she's being fed exclusively with Bio tabs organics.

This was a solid week but my PH keeps dropping. PPM dropped from 780ish to 560 so I know she's eating. Buds are forming nice and compact for their first week of actually forming. Other than the PH problem that I'm correcting daily until my fresh res change, my tallest stalk in the back grew into the light so hopefully those buds don't bleach! Open to constructive criticism btw!

Day 57: Flowers forming, everything good so far :) Day 61-62: Light LST, plant seems to be chill. Noticed a couple of ants, I hope they don't bring aphids ._. Day 63: Buds growing, we'll see...

Cherry cola in the back right is catching up from starting off a mutant! The 2 lsd-25s up front are growing fast and great no problems at all with them. The back left is the big bud tied town with major lst and is also showing no problems. All 3 are going into flower the cherry cola I would say is about 2 weeks behind even though it was started the same time. (36days ago) cronk nutrients seems to be working well with the Bonnie and Clyde auto line! And got a greenhand genetics started in a 5 gallon pot in the middle

This week has a fun surprise, Of the two seedlings I operated on as they where growing sideways in the medium one of them survived. It is quite small and is is going to be playing catch up all grow so may move it outdoors in the summer and just clone the shit out of it if I like the way the other plants go. Also if it bounces back fast I could try and incorporate it into the SCROG. but I kinda have my mind set on just three plants. Also starting a lot of my hot pepper in this tent with the Honey Mints, hopefully they will pop up in the next week or so and get good sized before they need to be transplanted outside in 8-10 weeks. Their seeds always take so long. Other then that plants are looking good and healthy. The bigger one has a bit of leave warping, nothing to worrying as its not progressed or gotten worse, likely from me giving it a bit to much water trying to flush out the high EC from before. Other then that nothing else to report, thinking of doing an early top on them to mainline all 3 of them. These buds are getting big and Frosty

The Blue Dream did very good , gave me thick dense buds full of crystals and smelling sweet and fruity

Day 91 she’s huge and starting to bulk up. Her green color has returned once I got the ph issue under control I wasn’t sure if it was going to return. She was very sensitive to the water quality. I’m excited to Watch her bulk up she’s a slow finisher for sure. But you can’t rush perfection.

This was the last week that I did defoliation on the plant. I defoliated very heavily the plant this week, I removed most of the fan leaves and a ton of small bud sites that would only generate popcorn buds. Unfortunately, the defoliation did not go as planned, I accidentally cut my trelluse net and remove one big branch by mistake, but the plant looked like it bounced back and is not showing any problems. This was also the last week that I gave mycorrhizal and applied foliar spray DAY 114 - Nutes PH - 5.83 PPM- 2830 Solution Temp - 18 Watering Volume - 4L Foliar PH - 6.29 PPM- 2270 Solution Temp - 20.5 Watering Volume - 200ml

06/07/2019 Did lite defoiliating, and LST. TOP dressed with biotone 5-1-1 w/mychorihza./ 1tbl. Happy Frog 0-5-0 slowly watering till 10% runoff. Still in desperate need of transplant got to find some time this week!

This ones going strong. It was first to sprout and its quickly became one of my favorites. I might feed it some fox farm grow big soon but have been top dressing with earth worm castings. She looks a little hungry but that can be expected when you grow 12 inches in 2 weeks. Check back next week to see how fast she grows. & remember its 4:20 somewhere!!!
