Not much to report from this week. More pistils came out every day. They're long and smell great. She drank half the res over the week but the pH and ppm stayed stable so I just left it. July 25 I took the duct tape off one of the stems that broke when my fan fell. It healed with a huge knuckle and looks great. One of the other big stems looks like it also has a big knuckle and is growing strong. Some of the smaller ones look like they've regained their integrity but didn't get a knuckle. They are all able to stand up straight now and the plant looks much happier. I'm leaving one wire support in place because of one of the thinner stems. July 27 I just noticed the upper leaves are a bit brittle. I should take it down and observe it more often I turned the fan to point away from the plant and the leaves recovered.

Alaskan still growing don't see much of a stretch Speed plus 1 started to pre flower and stretched a good amount. 3 main sites Speed plus 2 flowering started to show. Had 5 shorted sites that has not flowered or pre flowered Came to terms with I might harvest total 10-15g for all 3 plants. Trial and error taking it as a learning experience

She started out tiny but definitely surprised me halfway through. She doesn't really smell as a plant but in the jars and paper bags, she smells like berries and watermelons. Only been a week since I dried her in the fridge but I can't wait so I'm going to try to smoke some of her tonight. I also had to harvest partially as some of the lower buds are not quite ready yet which means I'm not done yet as of now. Will update more soon.

There was nothing special to mention on that stage. Growing proceeded as normal.

😅😅Girls were developed by different methods one were topped when she has only two nodes (third I topped), second was only LSTed. They were transplanted once from 10L bag to 20L bags. Topped roots developed much better then untouched had. Topped growed for about 71 day, and untouched 72. Wife noticed mold on few colas, I cutted them and cut out the affected areas. Bushes were Ripenning for about 12 days, Unfortunately I didn't flushed them at all. So topped girl was putted to hermetic container and placed in freezing camera exactly from cutting. Secon one I putted to growbox under the out fan. I bought vacuum pump and jars, and dry topped by quick freezing method. And untouched was dryed by usual way. After all results are: Wet weight: Topped: 450g buds&stems; Untouched: 380g buds&stems. Dry weight: Untouched: 80g buds, 10g stems; Topped: 110g buds, 13g stems. This is my firs grow, I think its great result. The common mistakes are: uncontrolled environment ph, humidity, and that I stopped plant growing height with early low distance to the lamp. So, with these interesting times and what is becoming a fast evolving global catastrophe. I, myself, along with the rest of you ( I hope ) can take some solace in looking after our gardens, to have some peace away from the news, to give our ladies the best care we are able to provide 🌱 If you ever needed any vindication or validation as to why growing your own is best. More than half the world currently in lockdown, and with MJ in short supply, our actions speak for themselves! Anyway, back to this diary. I done a lot of work on the room, invested a lot and tried to make everything as automated as possible. Everything runs on smart plugs, the hydroponic system is DIY and is RDWC which is cooled with a Hailea 150a. 6 plants is what I am going for this time, with a shorter veg length compared to the last grow. I prefer to wait until they show their sex, but if they don’t by week 5, I plan on flipping anyway all being well. I am using 730nm LED’s that come on 15 mins before lights on, turn off during lights on, and then they come back on when lights go out, and stay on for 15 mins. This should enable me to run 13/11 during flower with little risk. I am also going to add a UVB fixture to my custom rig which will only be used during the final 2 weeks of flower. I have 3 Alibaba lights attached to a custom rig, they really are awesome lights. I tested the room out with an Apogee SQ-520 par meter (PAR map in pics). I have dimmed them down, so PAR is around 500 across the whole canopy, this will be increased to 1000 once they’re flipped. I vent from my house, to the room and then outside, this increases the CO2 in the room, which I think helped the yields on the last grow, generally CO2 hovers between 470 and 700 PPM. My ladies look a little sick, but tbh, I struggle starting out in Rockwool, and things usually correct themselves within a couple weeks. With the quarantine I have struggled to pick up a humidifier that is capable of maintaining that room, so it has been all over the place since the start. I have opted to go with Royal Gorilla this cycle, let’s see if it’s as potent as RQS says that it is! Good luck all and take care...

I’m glad for growdiaries I was able to track the whole progress and go back to review what I did and didn’t do. The grow went fairly well. After battling some flea beetles and over fertilizing and over watering I got the hang of this plant. The strain seems easy to grow and though it’s not cured yet I look forward to trying it. I have been drying a little piece I snipped last week and will try that out in a day or so. Thanks to everyone who helped me on my first journey. Seedsman was great. Covid caused a shipping delay but the seeds got to me Eventually and here she is!!! I’m sharing a harvest video. I stopped it when I saw some webbing in lower buds. Got nervous. Small spider mites infestation at bottom of plant. Cut it out. Trimmed off the leaves I found them on. Read up on what to do next. Not going to trash this harvest over bugs. I figure it’s for me. Growing organically and outdoors obviously comes along with insects. Whether it’s cannabis or vegetables. I’d rather smoke or eat an insect than ingest a pesticide! I’ve cleaned the buds and trimmed them well. Once they dry I’ll give them a good shaking. And check them over to make sure I didn’t miss anything gross. There was a day before legalization that “you got what you got” and based on the people we procured from I doubt they cared if there were dried up bugs in bags. Never thought about it until today. 🤷‍♀️🏻 Not going to worry about it. I’ll do my best and clean my greenhouse. Sprayed down my other plants and out the fan in them. Trimmed some leaves I found to have mites on those. And I’ll get ahead of the issue for next harvest in 2 weeks. I’ll be back to update dry weight and effects soon. Update: dry weight is 50grams pretty happy about that. The buds are light and fluffy. They take up a lot of space. I can’t believe it didn’t all fit in the GIANT mason jar. It’s ok.
