Week 8 Veg Report: Mentha de Croco Mutants 🌱✨ Welcome to another exciting update in the Mentha de Croco mutant run! As always, these beauties continue to surprise and captivate with their unique growth patterns and stunning individuality. Let’s dig into the details of this week! 🌟 Growth & Development This week marks a turning point for the girls! While their slow but steady growth continues, I decided to top a few of them. Why? Topping not only encourages bushier growth but also allows the untopped plants to catch up, creating a more balanced canopy moving forward. Each one is still showcasing those jaw-dropping unique traits that make this run feel like a gallery of natural art. The Mentha de Croco mutants truly live up to their name, with each leaf telling its own story—some broad and serrated, others narrow and elongated, all equally breathtaking. Watching them evolve week by week is a lesson in patience and appreciation for the beauty of diversity in nature. 🌡️ Environmental Conditions Good news on the environmental front! The room’s temperature has stabilized to a more comfortable range, with daytime temps at 22°C and RH steady at around 66%. These are near-ideal conditions for vegetative growth, helping the girls to stay happy and stress-free. The stable climate contributes to the vibrant health and vigor they display—always praying to the lights like the champions they are! 💧 Feeding & Nutritional Care Nutritionally, we continue with the tried-and-true regimen: • Aptus Regulator 🌟 • CalMag Boost • Start Booster I’ve completely transitioned to using the All-in-One Pellets, which are doing a fantastic job of delivering slow-release organic nutrition directly in the soil. The decision to stop liquid feedings with the All-in-One Liquid was the right move, and it’s clear the girls are loving the steady supply of essential nutrients right at their roots. Additionally, I’ve been sticking to bottom-watering. Filling the trays and allowing the soil to wick up moisture not only ensures the roots get what they need but also keeps pesky gnats at bay—especially when paired with yellow sticky traps. This method has made a noticeable difference in keeping the grow area clean and pest-free! 🛠️ Cultivation Techniques: To Clone or Flip? The big question of cloning or flipping still hangs in the air. I’m taking my time to observe and assess their progress. Each plant is so unique that I want to give them the space and time to reveal their full potential before deciding. Let’s touch on the two potential strategies for next steps: 1. Flipping to 12/12 for a Short Period: This would allow me to determine sex quickly, but it can stress the plants slightly. 2. Cloning: Creating clones and flipping them instead is a great way to preserve the integrity of the main plants while identifying males and females without disrupting their growth cycle. Both approaches have their merits, and I’m leaning toward cloning once they’re big enough to snip without harm. 📸 Photography Corner: Highlighting Details This week, I brought out the cameras again—my trusty Nikon and Sony with interchangeable lenses—because, let’s face it, phone cameras just don’t do justice to the intricate beauty of these plants. Whether it’s the textures of the leaves or the play of light on the water droplets, having the right lens makes all the difference. For close-ups, I used a macro lens, which allowed me to capture every vein and serration on those incredible mutant leaves. For a wider perspective, I switched to a standard lens to showcase their overall growth. These tools help me highlight the artistry in each plant and share it with the world. 🙌 Shoutouts & Gratitude A heartfelt thank you to the amazing brands and communities that make this journey possible: • Terpyz Mutant Genetics 🌱 – For these one-of-a-kind mutants that redefine what’s possible in cultivation. • Aptus Holland 💧 – For providing the cleanest organic-mineral nutrition line that keeps the girls thriving. • Pro Mix – For the top-notch soil that’s the perfect foundation for this grow. • Future of Grow (FOG) 💡 – For the incredible Black Series lighting that ensures every photon counts. • Trol Master – best controls in the market, and i have all the data to back it up . • Grow Diaries 📖 – For giving us growers a platform to document and share our journey. • The Community 🌍 – To everyone who follows, supports, and engages—haters and lovers alike. Stay tuned for more updates as the Mentha de Croco mutants inch closer to their next big steps. Until then, happy growing, and remember: Every leaf has a story, every plant is a teacher, and every grower is an artist. 🌿✨ Genetics - Mentha De Croco https://terpyz.eu/products/menta-de-croco-fern-type?_pos=1&_sid=e9237cbcb&_ss=r DogDoctorOfficial Discount Codes @ terpyz.eu - DOCTOR 15% off Nutrition - @aptusholland https://aptus-holland.com/ Led Power @ F.O.G. Day 50 from reciving my seeds and equipment and day 46 since I put her into Coco: 25/Oct/2018: She is doing so well and is in her first week of flowering! I saw massive differences and a boost in her budding thanks to Canna PK 13/14 and for those that suggested I start using it (I started at 0.5ml per L, 3 days ago). Her roots seem to be doing very well (I see fuzz of healthy fungus and microbes on the roots when they sprout out of the fabric pot! Please send any suggestions on my use of nutrients!

This one was transplanted a couple days after the bigger ones so still small just hoping it builds its roots before pre flower. They all got moved into the 4x4 with the jimmy rigged 180w quantum board light built from ceiling tile grid. The tnb co2 is newish but I gotta get the heat up and bring in a more powerful light to take full advantage.

We are in week five. I was a little embarrassed because my girls reacted to the stress by shrinking. Now the situation is perhaps consolidated and we are gaining weight. They will be such tiny beauties, I really hope. pH still unstable (5-6), EC of rainwater supplemented with a mix of organic fertilizers to a value of min. 1.2-1.6 The girls look healthy so I cuted some leafs but only so much, as the all tops have good position for light source.

[ Information ] For information on this grow, including strain and room details, please see week 1 of veg. [ Updates ] Day 16 - I either went one day too long between watering or let them grow too close to the lights, but they're a bit wilty today and a few small signs of light burn on the canopy. I fed today, 100gal mixture, 10-15% runoff total. Also foliared before lights off with a mixture of Humic/Fulvic, Kelp, Silica, and Calmag (1tsp ea p/gal). Lights have been raised to 18 inches off canopy and reduced to 50% power (was at 60%, 6-8 inches from canopy). Assuming they perk up overnight I will raise the light power back up. C02 has been increased to 900ppm on average. I was thinking about topping but both canopies are full and I'd like to flip soon, I'll probably just remove some large fan leaves when they're perked back up. I'll wait to lollipop until a couple days before flip, and I'll wait to put a net in until after flip. I usually veg into a net and build a canopy, however this time I'd like to see what happens if I only use the net for emergency canopy control and bud support. Day 19 - Watered, 800ppm at 6.8ph. 1.3~ gallons per plant. Silica (.5 tsp/gal), Cal-Mag (1 tsp/gal), FF Grow Big (1 tsp/gal), FF Big Bloom (1.5 tsp/gal), and Kelp (.5 tsp/gal). Went heavier on the calmag and nitrogen. Looks like 3 days between watering is the sweet spot again for these 5 gallon pots. Lights are still at 50%. C02 increased to 1000ppm average, this seems to have made a positive impact on the shock the plants had from seemingly being light stressed. Growth is back to normal, at least an inch a day and the canopies are ready to flip. Selectively topped everything that was higher than the general canopy today. Day 20+21 - Lollipopped! Took me two days instead of one this time but I love how they look. I removed everything from the lower 50% of the plant, most growth nodes that aren't at canopy level, and select fan leaves at canopy level that were light blocking. Moved a few pots slightly to help fill in any holes within the canopy. Reduced lights on period to 15 hours on for day 21, will switch to 12 hours tonight to begin flowering. Began brewing a AACT (compost tea) to feed with at beginning of flower.

The amount of trichomes on this plant is bit, not so fat buds but they look great and not as purple as in pictures. The smell seems a layered mixture of tropical fruits with classical gelato funk! Last week now before harvest with trichomes a bit less than 10% orange.

HST - heavy feeding - defoliation this week. Should of been done last week *shameface* now some of them are very top heavy and are starting to bend, this is also due to having my clones way to long to begin with. They should have been a lot shorter. 😤 Very happy they have finally picked up from such a bad start in the beginning. loving how short and bushy they are. 😃 Next week will be changing to Flower Cycle 👽

* 10/22 -Cherry Cherry Cola Auto - 10/22 - 9.5 Inches * Thus far no concerns and she is growing vigorously, switched out Myco (Using Myco+ from Element) and increased nute and clean water feeds to 1 gallon per day offsetting the clean water and nute water feeds. Lite LST with bend clips applied yesterday (10/21). * End of Week - Veg week 5 - 10/28 - Thus no issues or deficiencies, slight increase of veg dose - Defoliation will begin next week.

Another good week for the ladies with good growth. They are strong and vibrant with many tops starting to take form. With some of the taller branches I used HST by rolling the stem untill it bends basically in half, giving the lower branches plenty of time to grow up. Once they have reached past the scrog net I begin to LST by tucking branches under also making way for new growth. One more week with minimal training and mostly defoliation of bigger fan leafs before I'll flip to flower

September 2, Day 43. I removed the trellis because it was annoying and I realized the spaces were too large and that's why it felt clumsy... Kabob sticks are doing the trick so far. As I was clipping some leaves to prepare for flowering, I noticed roots growing through the bottom of the pot. I hate transplanting plants so I sat the current pot in another pot that was filled 30% with additional coco coir that had been prebuffered with seedlings strength nutrients to avoid shock. I am confident the roots will continue their journey through the first pot and into the additional space below. Now to observe for a few days, aiming to switch to flowering next week. I have removed at least 30 leaves throughout the last week and she is still looking so bushy and healthy... Thanks Recharge. I ordered Big Bud by Advanced Nutrients and I look forward to using it during flowering. SUPER MEGA HAPPY UPDATE Day 44, September 3. I clipped a branch and planted it in a prebuffered with seedling strength nutrients rockwool pellet... I baptized her Kaboom Baby.... And. She. Survived!!! Ahhhhh!!! So freaking happy! I am going to start a second grow under this diary called Kaboom Baby, La Reinita Africana. Update, Day 46, September 5, 11am. Fed and watered with all nutrients except Recharge. Kaboom Mama is growing wild and free. I had so many training plans but I like her this way. As always, thank you for stopping by. If you have any thoughts about this grow, please leave them below. Happy growing and massive yields to all 💯🙏💚
