I only got to fertilize once this week but with the super soil she doesn’t show any deficiencies. I fertilized with I49 grow 1 tbsp/gal & 2 tbsp I49 Flower. I added this more as a preventive measure since I’m seeing issues with AK-47xl also outside in super soil. With the extreme heat and rain, my purple hulk is a HULK. She almost doubled height (grew 15 inches) this week and is now 33 inches tall and starting flower. She demonstrates resistance to fungal diseases and bug damage. In the background noise on the video is Cicadas. When they hatch, they crawl onto a tree or plant and molt. The adult has wings. This is the empty body casing. Before diving into the details, let’s start with a note on my flowering timeline. While this is Week 4, I don’t start counting flower days the moment I flip to 12/12. Instead, I wait for the plants to show true signs of bloom. It’s a small but significant distinction that keeps things accurate and aligned with the plants’ development. 🌱 Defoliation: Timing is Everything! Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different! 1/29 Week 5 She is just doing so well! Cant wait to see what she does in flower. Dropping CocoTek to 5ml and increasing run off as some white tips are showing 1/30 She now at 14 inches 2/1 Chiana now at 15 inches Major defoliation last night at lights out. Removed perhaps 25-40% or leaf mass on her to allow them to stay in the tent another two weeks. It was time to learn the process anyway, took a compromise path to doing it, some recommended taking more some less.

Weekly update for these lovely ladies. They've grown and grown since the last update so much I had to raise the greenhouse. Cinder blocks under the frame gave me an extra 16in. They're growing probably a foot of week and still reaching for the stars. I did switch to Athena's Bloom A & B and P&K booster this week giving 5-10ml per gallon. I really couldn't be happier with how they've grown up to this point. All in all Happy Growing.
