Week 02 Introduction This week has been a bit of a struggle. Had my first experience dealing with slime and brown algae. But I think adding enzymes and increasing the beneficial bacteria helped to fix the issue. Also experienced nutrient burn for the first time. My nutrient solution strength got as high as 671 PPMs. So backed it down to about 430 PPMs during the end-of-week reservoir change. Also cut Hydroguard (expired?), CaliMagic, and Superthrive from this grow. Now she's still stunted, but is starting to recover. Hopefully... [START OF WEEK 02] Day 01 - Monday - 08/10/20 - Total Days: 008 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Still looks a bit yellow. But getting larger! --- Solution strength was at 248 PPMs. --- Just topped off with a bit of distilled water --- PH went up to 6.1 so PH'd down to 5.8 --- Ran the top feed for a bit to wet the hydroton. - [2130]: She's looking even more yellow now. --- Even the new leaves are really yellow. --- Decided to add more base nutes. --- Added 4ml of Sensi A --- Added 4ml of Sensi B --- Now at about --- Solution Strength went up to 304 PPM. --- PH was at 6, --- Also raised the water level a bit more. --- I really hope it's a nutrient deficiency and not an over-watering issue. --- Please live! Day 02 - Tuesday - 08/11/20 - Total Days: 009 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Looking less droopy. But still yellow. --- Decided to do a reservoir change. --- 4.5gal of distilled water --- 8ml of Sensi Grow A --- 8ml of Sensi Grow B --- 8ml of Voodoo Juice --- 4ml of B-52 --- 4ml of CaliMagic --- 4ml of Hydroguard --- 4 drops of Superthrive --- PH'd down to 5.8 --- Solution strength: 302 PPM --- Since I didn't want to risk over-watering the rockwool, I did not to do a top feed, may do one tonight after the sleep cycle (lights are still set to go off at 10am and back on at 4pm). --- As I was doing a reservoir change, I noticed that the tubes and bucket were a bit slimy. Didn't really stink or anything. Is this normal? Maybe due to the Hydroguard and Voodoo Juice? --- I hope she gets better soon! - [2215]: Getting larger! But still yellow. --- Also can see a root growing through the net pot! Tiny little thing but it's there! Will have to start dropping water once more appear. --- After looking over a few DWC diaries using AN nutes, seems like my solution strength is still too low. Most around this stage average around 500 PPMs with about 4ml per gallon. --- Top fed for a minute to wet the top of the hydroton. --- Solution strength went down to 263 PPM. --- Added 8ml more of Sensi A --- Added 8ml more of Sensi B --- Now base nutes are at 16ml for 4.5 gal of water. --- PPMs went up to 411. --- Still lower than 500 PPMs, but that's okay. --- PH was at 6. Not sure if I should adjust PH using AN nutes. So going to not ajdust unless PH goes above 6.1. Day 03 - Wednesday - 08/12/20 - Total Days: 010 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Looks like more root growth! --- She still looks yellow. But leaves are perky. --- PH was at 6.2 so lowered down to 5.8. --- Solution strength was at 394 PPMs --- Since roots are still growing, I decide to lower the water level a bit. Now water level is a bit below the net pot. - [2200]: Root is getting longer! --- Slime is returning. Not sure why. --- Solution strength: 357 PPMs --- PH: 6.1 --- Decided to add an enzyme along with more beneficial bacteria to hopefully cure the slime. --- Added 16ml of Sensizym --- Added 5ml of Hydroguard --- Added 8ml of Voodoo Juice --- New solution strength: 430 PPMs --- New PH: 6.1 --- Top fed for a minute. --- This slimy residue is really freaking me out! I hope the added enzymes will help eliminate the slime. --- Going to do a full reservoir sterilization/nutrient change over the weekend. Please survive until then girl! Day 04 - Thursday - 08/13/20 - Total Days: 011 ----------------------------------- - [0930]: I think the enzymes worked! There is little to no slime now! --- Although I think the root was also dissolved in the process. It's now just a little stub sticking just below the net pot. The enzyme is also suppose to dissolved dead roots too but guess that root was too weak? Not sure what happened there. But I think the slime is cured! --- Solution strength went down to 395 PPMs. Decided to add more base nutrients. --- Added 8ml of Sensi A --- Added 8ml of Sensi B --- Added 4ml of B-52 --- Solution strength went up to 598 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.1 --- As long as the PH is between 5.5 and 6.3, I'm not going to use PH Up or Down. But still will monitor PH levels. - [1715]: Checked up on her after her nap and shes looking alive but stunted. But no slime! --- Decided to add some sugars to help maintain the enzymes and beneficial bacteria. --- Solution strength was at 587 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.2 --- Added 8ml of Bud Candy --- Solution strength went up to 671 PPMs. --- PH also went up to 6.3 --- Lowered water level a bit to hopefully promote more root growth. --- Top fed for a minute. --- She is getting bigger, but still looks yellow. Day 05 - Friday - 08/14/20 - Total Days: 012 ----------------------------------- - [0915]: Leaves look a little burnt on the tips. Still no slime. --- Going to back off on the PPMs to hopefully fix the nutrient toxicity. --- Solution strength was at 632 PPMs --- PH was at 6.3 --- Added/Removed water until PPMs were at 536. --- PH was still at 6.3 --- Raised water up a bit, then top fed for a minute. - [2200]: Looking better. Still yellow though. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 6.5 --- Added PH down. --- New solution strength: 518 PPMs --- New PH: 5.2 --- PH was kind of high. So decided to PH down. Had to use quite a bit to bring it down. But eventually got it to drop down to 5.3. A little low, but so far, the PH has always gone up so wanted to start it really low. --- Ran the top feed for a minute to re-saturate the top of the hydroton. Day 06 - Saturday - 08/15/20 - Total Days: 013 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: She looks stunted. leaves are still yellow. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 5.6 --- Top fed for a minute. --- Not sure what to do at this point. Going to do another reservoir change soon. Hoping she lives until then. - [2145]: Looking pretty much the same. --- A bit of slime has returned. Since I've been diluting the nutrient solution, the enzyme ratio has dropped. So I guess this is expected. --- Also noticed that slime build up was on the air-stones. Never really checked the stones so not sure how long that has been there. Looks brown too, which can't be good. --- Going to do an H202 sterilization of the system (minus the net pot) tomorrow so did not add anything. --- Lowered the water level to below the net pot. --- Then top fed for a minute. Day 07 - Sunday - 08/16/20 - Total Days: 014 ----------------------------------- - [0900]: STERILIZATION DAY! --- Decided to skip today's night cycle for a deep clean. --- I'm hoping that skipping a night cycle won't be too stressful. --- Temporarily moved her to a new bucket. --- Used about a half of gallon of straight distilled water to flush out the net pot. --- Drained the system and wiped up all the brown sludge. Also removed the air stones and cleaned up all the goo. --- Filled the system with 2 gallons of distilled water and at least 30ml of food grade hydrogen peroxide (35% strength). --- Yea its a lot, but since I'm not going to sterilize the system overnight, I went with a really high doseage. Basically I kept adding until I started to see little bubbles start to form. --- Then I ran the water pump. - [0915]: Boiled the air stones in tap water for about 10 min. Then reconnected them to the airlines. --- I let the air stones and hose soak in the sterilization solution for about 5 minutes so the peroxide can absorb into the stones. Then ran the air stone to help mix and agitate the solution. --- Occasionally, I'd repeat the process of turning the air pump off for a few minutes to let the stones soak. - [1000]: Covered the top two row of holes of the net pot with some aluminum tape. Hopefully this solves the light leaking in through the hydroton. - [1200]: Used an old toothbrush and scrubbed the pump clean. Then drained the system. --- Refilled with more distilled water and peroxide. Again added a lot. --- Ran system again to sterilize even more. - [1530]: Drained the system and refilled with distilled water to rinse. --- Ran the system for a few minutes, then drained and rinsed again. --- Did this a few more times over about an hour. - [1630]: Added 4 gallons of fresh distilled water. --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow A --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow B --- Added 12ml of B-52 --- Added 16ml of Voodoo Juice --- Added 16ml Sensizym --- Solution strength was at 430 PPMs --- PH was at 5.6 --- I was going to add Hydroguard, but I think the bottle is expired. Since 2017 or 2018!? I think Hydroguard is good for up to 2 years from the date on the bottle or 6 months after opening. So not going to use from now on. I wonder if this could have contributed to the slime build up. --- Also removed the CaliMagic and Superthrive too. Going to only use AN products to eliminate the chance of incompatible nutrients. --- Placed her back in the bucket and top fed for a minute. --- Here's hoping for the best. Going to let it ride until morning! Please feel better! [END OF WEEK 02]

They are moving quickly these days! I’m using FF nutrients, then just water, then a mixture of molasses, recharge, and epsom salt, and then water again. Not sure if I’m overdoing it but they seem happy.

I’m gonna top them and then I’m gonna start them over from clones so they grow roughly the same time as Julian and I’ll keep the Ricky and the bubbles others as mother plants and I’ll just keep them going. 1/21 10:15 AM vegging 12 inches 30 W Samsung LED Mars Hydro light perfect 121 1:10 PM I moved black tea Tangie into the germination station. The 2 gallon fits in here just fine. This will be fine for germination.. She’s sprouted only after about 40 hours so she’s really strong. 1/21, 2:54 PM. I made a my own Star Wars movie. Day 56) 11/18 is the end of another week. I measured her today and she's 15” but not done stretching yet. Week 8 day 56 pic 2 btw is a pretty good indication she's a she. I had some bumps along the way this week. My work schedule changed a bit all of a sudden and I lost touch with this girl and she suffered some drought time. Then if that wasn't enough I was shooting video of her and turned the fan system off so it wouldn't record the noise and accidentally left it off (just took a hit of gelato #33) for around 30+- hrs and wife told me the ceiling of the tent was sweating big droplets when I called her from work. Came home/ next day off / cleaned it all up/ wiped it with a light bleach water/ aired it all out and now she is very happy and my schedule is back on track 😅👍 Happy Growing and Happy Harvesting

Greetings to all my friends from all over the world, greetings to you from Russia! Another week has gone and I am updating my diary. The plants show healthy growth, but when I arrived at a secret place, I found that one of the 400 watts burned out, so part of the tent was not lit. This lamp has served me for about seven years, but nothing lasts forever. When I did the defolation, the second 250-watt lamp burned out, but unfortunately it worked for more than a year. It's good that I had replacement lamps. Due to the problem with the lamp, one side of the plants did not develop very well. But despite this, the processes of the plant became of sufficient size so that I took them for cloning. I took ten shoots, placed them in a hormone gel and transferred them to Rootriot, moving the clones into the greenhouse creating a microclimate there. We've made it to Week 4 of flower going strong 💪 Plants are no longer stretching, now focusing on bud production. Bulking up bigger & bigger everyday. Plants are about 72 days old from seed from today's date 06/05/18 I've labeled the plants in picture #1 The smell is very strong, I had to leave fan with carbon filter running 24/7 to keep smell down. Iv'e also bin adding 1/2 teaspoon Wholesome Sweeteners, Inc., Organic Unsulphured Molasses since week 4 veg, seems to be helping with THC production, only time will tell. 👍 Thanks again for all the positive comments, likes & follows! Update - 4th July 2021 Just still flushing away. The colours that are coming out are crazy. I have edited some pics but not videos and the videos dont really pick up the colour. Its strange that it started completely green and then went darker and darker until it reached purple buds covered in trichomes. I am planning on harvesting both this plant and the purple punch today or tomorrow depending on when i can be bothered lol Tbh, its not hard because i dry trim so it's just a case of plucking off the fan leaves and hanging it in different branches.

10-1 Day 2 week 2 flower Everyone else was over fed and burns and ahes no different!😱 8k something ppm, flush, now 850 ppm. 😱 Little too much. Ph 7.3. little high. Early flower, so maybe be ok. 10-5 Water 500ml yucca val/mag and .2 ml epson per liter. Slight defol. 10-6 1/4 cup poo, 3 tbs buildaflower, scoop connect. .

7/16/22 Today marks the 1st day of week 14, and the start of the 2nd week of the ripening stage. Stella received a gallon of water mixed with the following nutrients: FloraMicro - 5 ml FloraBloom - 15 ml Floralicious Plus - 1 ml Dry KoolBloom - 0.5 tsp. I seem to be having an issue with pH the last 2 feeding days. I think my gallon jugs have reached the end of their lifetimes, and THAT is what is causing my issue. It has happened to me once before, and getting new jugs cleared up the issue. I’m assuming that will be the solution to the problem. However, we all know what “assume” stands for don’t we? If you don’t, leave a comment and I’ll explain. The initial pH was 5.4. That is the lowest that I have ever had simply after adding nutrients. I added a total of 10 ml’s of pH UP, which in my opinion is way too much! But, I did it in 3 separate increments. Not that that makes it better. The final pH after all that was 6.3. The runoff pH was 5.6. She is still looking good, but you can tell she’s getting ready to start getting to her end stage. I wait with baited breath! The tent was 81.7F, with a humidity of 56%. We’re almost there! Happy growing everyone. 7/18/22 Today I’m going to keep this note brief… I promise. Stella is continuing to fatten up getting ready for harvest in a few weeks. She is still doing well. Today she received a gallon of water mixed with the ripen stage nutrients again. I changed all of my jugs, but after mixing everything up the initial pH was 5.5. I added 8 ml’s of pH UP which adjusted the pH going in to 6.2. Her runoff pH was 5.6. The tent was 83.3F, with humidity at 58%. See! A short note is possible!! Happy growing everyone. 7/21/22 Stella and all of her children were fed today. As usual, a day later than planned, but they got fed, and are all still doing wonderful. We’re keeping with the ripen nutrients mixed into a full gallon of water. FloraMicro - 5 ml FloraBloom - 15 ml Floralicious Plus - 1 ml Liquid KoolBloom - 2 ml Initial pH was 5.2. I added 12 ml’s of pH UP which adjusted it to 6.2. She had plenty of runoff with a pH of 5.8 The tent was 83.9F, and humidity was 52%. Her buds are FAT!! Happy growing everyone!

I’m lightly defoliating each and making sure my bud sites are exposed. Everything seems to be swelling up nicely.

Harvested at day 76, after 72h of darkness. Very good yield! 3.3 pounds of dry buds + 1 pound of trim The 2 keepers yielded 366 and 342g of premium quality smoke. Very uplifting and energizing high :) Love it!

Update: Day 1 of week 11 - Thursday 29th October I am soooooo fucking pissed! I don’t know whether watering the girls from the bottom has made the girls more thirsty or just that they are generally more thirsty due to needing more Nutes during flower but one of the ladies has wilted quite terribly. The other girls seem ok, slightly more thirsty and the leaves slightly droop a little more than usual at feeding time but one girl has defo been through the thirst wars.. She’s bounced back after a good water but the buds looks shrivelled and feeling very sorry for them selves. I’m not sure she will be as good a smoke now if she makes it at all.. Other than that moved the LED up slightly more to keep a good distance between the light and the girls.. I really haven’t got anymore space now so fingers crossed this all works! Super vex this has happened in the final weeks. UPDATE: Day 2 of week 11 - Friday 30th Oct The wilted lady has made a great recovery but the buds still seem a little dishevelled. But considering what’s happened to her I’m happy so far.. Let’s see how she goes🤞🏼 UPDATE: Day 3 of week 11 - Saturday 31st Oct All looking good and buds seem to be fattening up a little now ❤️ Nutes in as normal and happy the wilted lady has made a good recovery.. UPDATE: Day 5 of week 11 - Monday 2nd Nov Nutes in and all looking good.. They don’t seem to be stretching much now and I’m hoping that means the buds will fatten up nicely from here on in.. 🍮 Chem Brûlée – Pheno B Week 8 | Opening the Canopy Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! 🌱 Chem Brûlée Pheno B continues to show why phenotype hunting is so fascinating. While her sister has remained a little more compact, this girl has continued stretching upward and is now the taller of the two. At around 130 cm, she's developed a beautiful vertical structure with plenty of flowering sites running along her branches. This week, however, she was asking for a little more room to breathe. And we listened. 🌿 A Little Defoliation, A Lot More Light As flowering progresses, some of the older fan leaves had become less useful, creating shadows over developing flower sites and reducing the openness of the canopy. So this week we gave her a light, selective defoliation. Nothing aggressive. No major restructuring. We simply removed leaves that were no longer contributing much to the plant and were blocking light or airflow. The goal wasn't to strip the plant, but to open her up just enough for the developing flowers to receive better exposure. The result is a cleaner canopy while keeping plenty of healthy foliage to support continued flower development. Sometimes defoliation isn't about taking something away. It's about making room for what matters next. 🌼 Flowers Taking Shape The flowers are becoming much more obvious now. White pistils continue appearing across the plant, while the individual bud sites are starting to develop more structure and density. The main tops are becoming increasingly defined, and the secondary flowers are developing nicely along the branches. The stretch is also beginning to settle down. She's still gaining some height, but more of her energy is clearly shifting toward building flowers rather than simply growing upward. The next few weeks should become particularly interesting as those early flower formations begin turning into proper, stacked colas. 🍃 Healthy Leaves, Healthy Plant One thing I particularly enjoy about this phenotype is the contrast between her long, elegant structure and the increasingly developed flowers along the branches. The healthy leaves remain vibrant, while the selective cleanup has given us a much clearer view into the plant. She's looking balanced, open and ready for the next stage. 🍽️ Feeding The room continues on the same feeding strategy: Terra Bloom – 2.2 ml/L Green Sensation – 1 ml/L Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L Power Buds – 1 ml/L Lemon Kick / pH Plus as required With the shared AutoPot reservoir, all phenotypes continue receiving the same solution while expressing their individual nutritional needs through their growth. 🌡️ Environment The room remains very stable: 🌡️ Day: 29°C 🌙 Night: 25°C 💧 RH: 60% ⚗️ pH: ~6.0 ⚡ EC: ~2.0 mS/cm 💦 Solution temperature: 24°C 🌱 Root zone: 21°C 🫧 CO₂: 639 ppm 💧 Watering: 1.3 L/plant/24h ? The stretch should continue slowing, the pistils will keep multiplying, and the developing flowers should start showing noticeably more volume. For now, the plan is simple: Keep the environment stable. Keep the reservoir consistent. Keep observing. And let her build. She's taller than her sister, a little more demanding when it comes to canopy management, and now she's opened up just enough to let the light reach where it needs to go. I’m not sure if the grow will be successful this way but I’ll just hope for the best. Apart from that things are going great. Trichomes and pistils appeared right on time. I think I’m done lollipopping as well. There’s no hidden mini branches left.
