It is the end of flush week and she went into darkness on Wednesday night, day 75, for two days. Saturday will be harvest day and start and the dry process๐
She has certainly been going through the beautiful stage of senescence and her fade is gorgeous. The purples and yellows coming out are great......covers up the brown spots๐๐ Her buds are densing this week as we work on bring down the humidity. Running in the mid 60โs for humidity late in flower is a different experience and one that takes some getting used to. Bring down further to low 50โs has really helped to bring out her frost as well. Kept the humidity high to form big buds......now lowering to make them more sticky๐๐
I am feeling very strongly that the big part of the pH issues this run was a change in feed water. I have always used bottled RO water for all my grows, except outdoors, but this grow I switched to tap water. Dechlorinated the water with air stone and gave it 24 hours min before using. Wanted to save some money and tired of lugging bottles downstairs a couple of times a weekโน๏ธ This is worked out nicely and a lot more convenient. However, the city must be putting some crap in the water that is causing issues in my media and raises the pH after the watering. Out of the tap it is 8.4pH and 275ppm. Since ppm were not too bad in my opinion I moved forward without filtering the water.......oops๐คฌ๐คฌ๐คฌ Out of options on what is causing the issue, I switched back to RO water late last week........all the girls are happier!!!! F......missed the cause for weeks. Always learning from this plant and my own mistakes to get better every run๐๐
Also wanted to add a little more stress to girl to help push out some increased resin. I drilled a 5/16โ hole into the main stem to cause her stress. I did this rather than trying to break a branch and will see how it goes this run. Sterilized a new bit in Alcohol and went for it. They went into darkness about a couple of hours later. Excited to see what happens when she comes out to get chopped๐๐

June 20/20 - Day 71
- Rezin and Liquid Weight @ 2ml/L = 285ppm and 4.0ph
- 8L given to get a good flush
- Runoff in pots already were 7.8pH and 485ppm.
- after 8L water runoff was 7.0pH and 370ppm.
- she is 29โ tall and 30โ wide.
- tricombs still mainly cloudy.....review again in couple of days.
June 21/20 - Day 72
- Dry out day
- buds are firming up......squeezed a couple๐ง
- temps are nice outside so tent able to hold 75 degrees and 51% humidity.
June 22/20 - Day 73
- Rezin @ 1ml/L = 120ppm and pH the water to 2.7!!!!!!!!!
- Given 2L watering.
- No runoff water and I am good with that as I want the low pH water to stay in the medium.
- She will be ready soon. Thinking darkness on Wednesday and harvest on Saturday??
June 23/20 - Day 74
- 2L plain water feed - 80ppm and pH to 2.4!!!!!!
- not excited about these crazy low pH numbers but doing what we can
- her tops are getting really pointy now and her leaves are very yellow.
- checking tricombs, I think we are done and tomorrow will be her last day so that I can take down on Saturday.
June 24/20 - Day 75
- 2L plain water feed - 80ppm and pH to 3.0
- Going into darkness tonight so this was her last bit of moisture.
- drilled a hole into the stem.....was going to do a couple of holes but not trying this method before I decided to leave it with one hole.

Mephisto has bread a very nice girl. She is big and sticky and grown very well considering the environment she has been given. Battling the high pH and still turning out as she has is awesome and much respect!!!! Great job Mephisto, canโt wait to run her again.......just so happens I have several more seeds of her๐๐

Day 22
Some new nodes are developing at the ends of each branches. Decided to defoliate some of the big fan leaves as it was starting to get way too bushy and smushed on to each other. Now it's a bit easier to put in some extra LST stakes and get direct light on all those nodes. I'm expecting the preflower stretch to happen at any time now so trying to get the LST optimal right now.
Day 23
Watering day for her! Gave her 1.1L's of water (6.4 ph) with root-juice. bio-grow, bio-bloom, bio-heaven & alg-a-mic.
Day 24
I placed the last LST stakes today, and will now let the stretch do it' thing with minimal corrections!
Day 25
She recovered very nicely from the LST yesterday and I can definitely tell the stretch has begun now with how much longer some of the branches got.
Day 26
Letting the stretch do it's thing and increased PPFD to 700. The first pistils on the flowering sites are really starting to show now.
Day 27
Might've been a bad too late with the watering, pot was really dry but the leaves still looked good. Gave her 1.5L (6.4ph) containing silica force, cal-mag, bio-grow, bio-bloom, top-max, bio-heaven & acti-vera.

๐ข๐ฃ๏ธ I made a video of my PH reader and a photo. Comments with help for that would also be appreciated, is the PH really over 9 (my readers max) due to calcium buildup up, or is the humus lombrico giving a false reading?
500 ml distilled water (still trying to flush high calcium buildup from the local water).
When the fertilizers arrive Iโll start giving her food:
9/8 200 ml bloom, 60 ml CalMag sup
10/8 250 ml filtered tap water
Moved her to a different balcony that gets a little less morning sunlight ๐
but a lot more afternoon sunlight โ๏ธ
Tightened the first two LST yarns, added 2 more and discovered 2 more bud sites!

I will update the dose as they grow and develop a bigger hunger.

De-chlorinated watering pH 6 with 5ml calmag to 5L water.
Watered each with 250ml and had small run off.
I will continue to feed/water with small run offs to help prevent salt build ups.

Week 2 โ Flowering
Plants are now fully settled into the flowering phase, with clear development of early bud sites and visible pistils forming across the canopy. The stretch is still ongoing, with noticeable vertical growth and increased spacing between nodes.
Structure remains strong and well balanced, allowing good light penetration and setting the foundation for proper bud development in the coming weeks.
Nutrient program is now fully in bloom mode, running Bio Flores as the base, supported by Hungry Bacter, Glutton Bloom and Ultra Booster, while foliar feeding with Ultra Silk is being phased out.
Environmental conditions remain stable, keeping plants healthy and stress-free during this key stage.
Everything is progressing exactly as expected ๐ฅ

Great week overall, environment working very well and maintaining temp even on hot summer days - 33C outside!
Humidity is too high at night when the extractor switches off. Plug timer need to run from 10pm to 4am.
Reduced pump to 1 min fill as planned
Took reservoir from 22L to 17L to save chems and avoid spillage as roots grow. As they fill their pot I was finding progressively larger puddles every morning

Day 33 Gave her a flush and fresh nutrients. Added a little maxibloom. Switched lights to 12/12. Added a 3rd set of 3000k quantum boards for a total of 860 watts.

26.12.24:
These are my 2 best plants P1 and P2 Purple Punch, they are looking great! Not sure what happened to P3.
They are in early flower/ pre-flower with the pistils clearly seen on P2. I am also hoping to tie some of the branches down to help light penetration on the lower canopies.
I have noticed light stress on my plants. I had moved the lights further away and increased the light intensity to 70%. Unfortunately that created some issues. Namely severe palour of the leaves.
To try and rectify the situation, I've dimmed the lights to about 30%, staying at the same distance, about 30 inches away. I measured the par levels, after I did this. They should a reading of anywhere between 40 and 150, at the canopy of the plants. They are all different sizes. This seems to have improved the colouring on all plants.
After this evenings watering, I will monitor recovery and increase lighting intensity again slowly. I am also using the light cycle of 21/3, so the plants have many hours more light to absorb, than for example 12/12 or 18/6.
I am pleased with the progress, considering all of my mistakes!
29.12.24:
So I finally gave LST a shot, it's probably a bit too late, however I really want to get the most of the triploid pheno, and I went a little crazy and LST'd all plants except 2, as they're too small.
I did that late last night, this afternoon I was amazed to see the plants turn their leaves back to the light source. I'm glad I overcame my fear of trying it. I'm very excited to see them adapt and progress! ๐ there are videos above with before and after of my LST process.

This worked out very nicely ๐ I just found Ecothrives' new, Trace! I was looking for Cal-Mag with no NPK. I came across this, I'm genuinely so excited to get using this! Ecothrive has the best products, hands down.
As fate would have it, the plants are looking pretty dry!
I'm going to be watering with the Trace and Biosys. Let's see what happens ๐
6 litres of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.1 contained:
โก 3ml of Ecothrive Trace
โก 1/4 Tsp (2.4ml) Ecothrive Biosys
PPM 475
PH 6.0
1.5.25:
I mixed a foliar feed with my new Ecothrive Trace.
I filled a 250ml spray bottle with dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.0 with 4ml Ecothrive Trace.
I used the entire bottle in 3 plants throughout the course of the day.
The fan is very strong, so it didn't take long to dry. However, I did keep the lights dimmer to ensure no leaves were burnt. Additionally, I spent more time than I care to admit massaging the foliar spray into the leaves ๐
I also moved the LED lights up as Northern Lights is still stretching. Par was about 600-700. Which may be too much. I'll keep an eye on it.
Let's see how we're looking in a few days after the first Ecothrive Trace application!
4.5.25:
Hulkberry had totally dried out, I needed to top dress, so I added 2 Tbs of Ecothrive Life Cycle and 1 Tbs of Ecothrive Charge.
I mixed it into the top loose soil, as I didn't want to get all the worm castings, coco, perlite, etc, out from storage.
I watered with 6 litres of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.5. I added:
โก 1/4 Tsp Ecothrive Biosys
โก 1/2 Tsp Mega Crop Part A by Greenleaf nutrients.
PPM: 840.
The plant is in week one of flower, so nutrient needs will be changing.
As I was late top dressing her, I decided to add some readily accessible nutrients to tide her over until the dry amendments have broken down enough.
I moved the plant round yesterday, as one side was stretching.
I removed the two bottom stems, as they weren't making it up to the canopy.
Overall, she's doing great, and no issues so far ๐ค

Va un poco lento el engrosamiento de esos cogollos, pero la planta se ve bien en general, pudo haber estado mejor si hubiera recibido mรกs luz creo yo, pero huele delicioso ๐ y tiene unos colores hermosos, ya quiero ver el resultado final ๐ฑ

very strong resin production, a heavy hitter, nighttime stuff!
a real great strain, highly recommended!
you can certainly smell the grape with a creamy touch!
ps. one of the plants was a mutant, it was very weak, had almost no resin on it and absolutely no scent at all....but it had alot of potency and a awesome yield!

Put on alot of size, I think they are coming to the end of the stretch now, loads and loads of bud sites and both look so healthy, roll on next week ๐ ๐
