Okay guys, now this has been an eventful week. unfortunately, I can now only visit my plants on the weekend as I am sutying in another city and the plants are at my parents house. That has translated to the little tiny brown leaf I found last week turning into 3 - 4 semi-rotten buds. So yes, catterpillars. Little pesky green catterpillars were the ones eating the leafs and the ones that have now caused some bud rot on my autoflowers. To wich I have decided to do an emergency early harvest as you can see in the pictures above. Trichomes were more or less 10 - 20 % cloudy depending on the bud and some buds also had quite a few amber so they cound't have been that far from harvest anyway. I cut off the buds with rot and the buds nearst to them. luckily it was only 1 or 2 big buds on 2 of the 3 autos I have. The remaining auto is the foxtailing one witch I have not yet harvested and am now debating if I should just do it to not risk getting rot over this week I am away or let her ripen more. The process was cutting off the bad parts, discarding and then cutting off the buds with the stem off the plant. I have never harvested before so I dont know if it is useally done this way but anyway. After the early harvest wich I am sure many would frown upon I did something even morecontroversial and washed the buds in water+backing soda, water+hidrogen peroxide, just water rince and hung them to dry with a fan in front of them for about 2.5hrs. Now I'm a newb so I dont know if this works, but I read and saw a few posts and videos of people doing and explaining this process, and also asked outdoor growers of reddit to see if this is actually a thing, and yes it seems a few if not many people wash their outdoor buds in some way or another. I washed hoping that if there are any caterpillars in the buds that would kill or at least debilitate them.. none floated off while i was washing though.. so now im scared there are still some in my buds and will rot while im drying :( i checked each bud individually trying not to break them up but didnt find any caterpiullar. i only found one while washing the leafs I had trimmed off the plant before harvesting the buds. Anyway, I have bought anti caterpillar and anti fungal spray for tthe photoperiod plants wich seem to be doing okay. A part from some white powdery stuff on the leafs, maybe powdery mildew? Anyone know what can be done for PM ? Anyway, as usual, thanks for your support and comments! sorry for the long post hehe Edit: Totally forgot to mention this.. I think the foxtailing auto has gone hermaphrodite and polinated the other plants (?) I found a little dark ball at the bottom of one of the buds I have harvested, I picked it off because I didnt knoe if it was rot.. A SEED CAME OUT! Yeah.. So now Im thinking my plants have been pollinated by the foxtailer? Does this make sense? xD

Day 82 Flower and this girls are ready to come down 😇 i will give them a 24 mb 36 hours dark before harvest them . Starting to ease up on the feed now going into week 7 of flower. The buds are really starting to bulk up in size and the smell is still increasing into a sweeter aroma as they develop further. More defoliation again this week, unfortunately I needed to remove a few too many underdeveloped buds from one of the smaller plants to help improve airflow and help prevent damp developing around the denser areas of the plant. I plan to add another fan this week to help increase air circulation in general. Keeping a close eye on the trichome development now as they finish up. ✌️

I'm going crazy. These babies are delicious looking. I'm ready, been buying fucked up weed for 40 yrs. What was i thinking? I think I've lost the battle with the girls. But in a damn good way. Guys?::: I'm just letting them grow. I have no idea?

My girlies are doing great. They're in their 4th of flower. I've noticed a lil bit of what looks like nute burn on their tips even though I've only been giving Bloom once a week. I've been giving them a lil calmag twice a week so I'm cutting out the calmag and just water only between feedings. So far so good! 😝 8/11 - They're thickening up but the nute burn is looking worse even though I haven't given them any nutes since last Friday. It's been straight pH'ed water only. PH of the run off water was about 6.5. I can definitely tell that the granddaddy purple plants has a longer flowering period just from the way the flowers on both GDP's are not getting as full as fast as the bubba kush is. Some of the GDP flowers are starting to show signs of purple... spotted a few purps on the BK too. I'm so excited for this grow. I know yall are sick of reading me say that by now bwuahahahahahaaha 😍😌

Because I have iridium and copper in the water, the ph meter fluctuates due to breaking bonds between the hydrogen and oxygen. Often, marijuana growers who have their plants in indoor grow tents or rooms with artificial lighting, take into account parameters such as temperature and relative humidity to maximize plants growth and bloom, thus obtaining abundant harvest with top quality flowers. As we will see later, these factors affect different processes of the plant, such as transpiration or nutrient uptake. However, we usually forget about another important factor that is related to the aforementioned ones: vapor pressure deficit or VPD. Broadly speaking, VPD is the difference between the amount of water vapor that the atmosphere is able to retain (which depends on temperature) and the amount of water vapor contained in it (relative humidity). It is usually measured in kilopascals (kPa). Providing our plants with a correct relationship between temperature and relative moisture will keep us on the right VPD parameters, increasing the plant’s activity and thus improving its growth and showing its full potential during the flowering phase. The ideal would be to adjust both parameters (temperature and humidity) to get the best possible VPD value, so that the development of plants will be amazing.In the chart above you can see the right temperature and moisture values to maximize the development of cannabis plants. The green zone shows you optimal values of VPD, in which it would be ideal to maintain the environment. The orange zone shows correct values, in which plants should not have problems to develop normally. However, red areas show values in which your plants will be very far from hit their full potential, since the relation between temperature and moisture is not optimal. With relatively high values of VPD (between 5 and 12) plants tend to open their stomata and release a considerable amount of water vapor into the environment (increasing their transpiration). This increase in transpiration results in an increase in the plant’s photosynthetic activity, which will need more nutrients and will improve its overall growth, both during growth and bloom. The best range is between 7.5 and 10.5, which we have marked in green. However, we must be careful that VPD is not too high (dark red zone) since the plant would close its stomata to avoid releasing too much water vapor to the environment, which would result in fast dehydration due to excessive transpiration. On the other hand, if VPD is too low (light red zone), the plant will also close its stomata for not releasing more water into the atmosphere, which in this case would be already saturated (it would have reached the maximum water retention capacity in a specific temperature). In this way, reducing transpiration will also reduce photosynthesis, which has a direct impact on the plant’s development and yield. That way, VPD is essential when it comes to offer the best conditions for the development of plants, also to understand its water requirements according to the nutrients used and thus adjust them correctly to meet the grower’s expectations.
