OCTOBER 11h to OCTOBER 17th Sunrise: 08:20 | Sunset: 19:03 | Total Daylight: 10:43 This was another pretty good week for weather, however the last couple of days have been cloudy with rain, causing some spikes in greenhouse humidity. Temperatures for the most part have been good, with one overnight low in the greenhouse of 13C. Purple Romulan is doing well but is the furthest behind in reaching maturity of all specimens in garden. Flowers are of decent size, with adequate trichome production. Greenhouse is emitting very strong smells now, mostly a sweet skunk scent. Weather forecast appears as though it will be adequate and manageable temperature wise for the next week. DAY 155 Greenhouse 13C in the morning, with outdoor temperatures down around 3C (frost evident on rooftops in area). 500mL drip of plain rainwater to all specimens. DAY156 1L hand water BTI treated rainwater (no additives); Greenhouse held to 18C overnight, humidity a little high (51%) but dropped as sun rose; Overcast day. DAY 157 Beautiful sunny day, with warm temps; Greenhouse was 18C in the morning. DAY 158 -1C in the morning outside, 13C in the greenhouse, which is fine. Nice sunny day. DAY 159 Overnight low outside 5C, 17.5C in greenhouse, which is ideal. Humidity in check, at 41%. Cloudy, overcast day, with greenhouse heater working to maintain day-time temps of 21C (no solar energy to drive heating). DAY 160 Greenhouse 14C in the morning, 3C outside. Humidity at 41%; Clear morning, with some sun, turning cloudy with light rain in the afternoon, resulting in a humidity spike in greenhouse to 50%. DAY 161 Lots of rain overnight, causing spike in greenhouse humidity to over 60%; Will require monitoring; Temps in the morning 18C in the greenhouse, mild outdoors.

1/10 Week 10 Both are in flush and from the looks of the tricones these are the most potent plants we have grown to date. Drinking has really slowed down but keeping the un-PH one gallon daily flush since tap water is cheap. Annie doing very well under the LED lamp, TS-1000 plenty large enough for one plant in flower. This is encouraging for plans to replace the HID with either a TS-2000 or TS-3000(preferred) this spring before the summer heat. Day 70-77 (Day 71) Not exactly sure why but node spacing on bbb 6&7 is super tight still. Their stems are also harder and less bendy, almost like they’re root bound. Bbb #5 in my veg tent is looking bizarre and I’m at a loss for what to do. I’ve been looking up and asking around about the leaf crinkle and no one seems to know what’s wrong. Trashing a pheno of this would hurt. It could be a keeper too as I don’t think the problem is genetic. It’s definitely root bound but that doesn’t cause contorted new growth like that. I’ve concluded that it’s my dense soil coupled with root bound issues, overwatering and high RH. (Day 72) Later tonight I’m going to give bbb 5 a bath tub flush until it’s reading 200ppms, drain it well and then transplant into a 3g pot with lightly amended soil. I’m also going to give it a light defoliation. I don’t mind stressing the shit out of this plant right now because I won’t be flipping for another week at least. With the small container it will run out of amended nutes mid flower so I will hit it with a few synthetic feedings around then to test out the smokabilty and taste compared to organic nutrients. I might as well give the rest a good defoliation on the rest of the plants too. I will try to get most of what is under the trellis. (Day 73) I definitely defoliated #7 waaay too much. Since it’s tucked away in the corner and a really bushy plant I can’t train it as well as the others. I cut most of the sucker branches and the majority of the lower fans. This should prevent the need to defoliate at all until week 3 of flower. (Day 74) I’ve been reading that higher temperatures with a high RH can affect growth big time. It could be what’s causing all the crinkling and twisting. And now that the plants are in very late veg they could probably benefit from a lower RH. When I was running my temps around 74-78F and 70% RH I was in the perfect range. Now that I’m around 82-86F with the same 70% RH that could be what’s causing it. Hotter air holds more moisture than cooler air and proper vpd at 84F is around 75-80%. I’m going to turn up the speed on my carbon filter and set my controller to 75%. If I don’t see a difference or it gets worse I will drop to 65 and go from there. (Day 76) I finally got the lights raised up another 4 inches or so. It’s not much but it should help reduce the intensity and stretch the nodes more. I’m starting to think the super tight node spacing and droopy/contorted growth has more to do with something I’ve been reading about called ‘soil compaction’. Apparently farmers often deal with compacted soil in fields from running tractors over it all day. When I potted the plants I gave them a good little jiggle to compact the soil down further so I could fit a bit more in the container. I think this could be the culprit as they don’t seem to be drying out evenly. Even the plants in my other room are not drying out like they should and it’s probably from compacting too. With the addition of rock dust and dry amendments the soil can become sandy/clay like and retain a lot more moisture. Wish I would have added a few more liters of perlite and packed the soil a bit looser. Either way I need to get this problem sorted ASAP before I get root rot. Earlier in the season when I overwatered, I stuck a fish tank air pump into the soil and it aerated the soil enough to prevent overwatering. The only reason I discontinued it is because it didn’t have much effect in the 1.7g pots. I just ordered a 36w 6 way fish tank pump that is way more powerful. It was 50 bucks and I’m willing to take a gamble on it. It seems to be my only option at the moment because I can’t just repot. Worst case scenario I can use it for brewing compost teas if it doesn’t work. I’m not sure how well this will work in a giant fabric pot but it’s worth a shot. I’ve heard of people supplementing additional air into raised garden beds with great results. I’m picking off some of the new auxiliary branches to try and widen the node spacing. Growth is definitely slow and stunted but no signs of deficiencies. I just thought of another theory on the node spacing... and the more I think about it, the more I think it’s the mystery problem. I’ve been foliar spraying with 1-1-1 VeloKelp at pretty high concentrations 2-3 times per week. I have heard in passing that kelp and seaweed can somehow reduce stretch. A quick google search reveals that Ascophyllum Nodosum Seaweed and other marine algae extracts contain large amounts of hormones and auxins that reduce plant height and stretch. *facepalm* Guess I’ll stop that for the rest of the cycle. As far as I know there is nothing I can really do but wait for the plant to use up all those excess hormones and nutes. The recent 0-0-15 seaweed extract and 1-0-3 kelp meal I bought is derived from the same kind as the velokelp. I guess I won’t use it again until week 3 or 4 in flower. Tight nodes are very useful in flower but aren’t desirable at all in when trying to scrog in veg. Especially when they’re like a half inch apart. It slows the shit out of a grow. Vietnamese and biker gangs in my area used to grow SOG style and use a synthetic PGR hormone (meant for bonsai trees) called ‘paclobutrazol’ that would make the weed rock hard dense so they wouldn’t have to pay people as much to trim it. I’ve heard that in recent years they have made the switch to using kelp extracts because paclo is getting harder find and is not meant for food crops let alone smokeable crops. I’m ashamed of it but I have smoked pounds of PGR weed long before I knew what a PGR was. 🤷‍♂️ (Day 77) One more theory. Ever since raising up the plants up onto that shelf the root zone is probably significantly warmer and the bottom of the pot (where most of the roots are) drys out way quicker. It’s possible that the warmer root zone could not be holding dissolved oxygen at the proper rate resulting in that over/underwatered look. Or it could be that I’m not watering enough at once to reach the bottom of the pot where the roots are and it’s indeed under watered. I’m going to water in a gallon when I get my new air pump and see if that makes any positive change. If I see the new air pump making a difference, I will flip on the 21st of April. If I don’t see a difference, I will carefully untangle the plants from the scrog net and remove the shelf. That extra foot should make a massive difference with ppfd and will cool down the roots significantly too. I’m thinking about grabbing a simple soil/compost thermometer to check the temp of the medium. Better safe than sorry. Rough week. Hopefully everything get smoothed out in the next little while before I flip.

Week 9 down and all looking good. Highlight is the 2nd Stawberry Pie. Huge flippin purple & orange buds covered in frost. Very excited about her. Chopped the weird wonky strawberry pie which actually looked ready even more weirdly on D60. Nice dense purple buds, very small amount maybe ounce and half dried. Just had a sample earlier and get it made me pretty stoned so winner. All are now starting to fade which is good. Nothing but water when dry from here on in. Maybe a couple of weeks. Very pleased with the size of the buds on this plant. Heavy tops . Sadly enough quite some foxtailing but been through 2 heatwaves back 2 back with little to no cooltime in between where it peaked around 40°C in the growspace .

Hi liebe Community and Welcome Back! 🌿💚 Willkommen zur fünften vergangenen Blütewoche! Hier im Weedefix Grow, erreichen wir aktuell eine höhe von 139cm. Und eine Breite von 62cm. Der Stretch der Pflanze ist nun vorbei und die Pflanze konzentriert sich voll auf die Blütenentwicklung. Beide Pflanzen sind gleich hoch. Es zeichnet sich ein durchgängis schönes und gesundes Wachstum ab. Es entwickeln sich immer mehr Trichome rund um die Blütenansätze und auch schon sichtbar auf den Leafs. Das Icing zieht sich bei diesem Pheno etwas stärker durch, dafür ist die Blütenstruktur etwas kleiner. Durch dass Super Cropping ist die Pflanze sehr Stabil.. Diese Woche wurden nochmal wie angegeben 7ml Wachstum pro l Wasser zugegeben und damit gegossen. Hier habe ich die Zufuhr etwas erhöht, um die PK Komponenten des Düngers einzubringen. Das Aroma der Pflanze ist etwas chemischer/ skunkiger als bei der anderen. Die Lichtzufuhr würde diese Woche nun auch auf dass Maximum gesetzt. Everything coming along nicely. I’ve discontinued all nutes but will give one more little top dressing to the cheese plant tomorrow then that’s it. Just straight stabilized RO water from here out. The slurricane is just packing on PM like crazy. The cheese has actually stopped the spread for the most part. At harvest I’m going to wash the shit out of the slurricane and cheese with some warm RO water and some h202 to get the majority of it dissolved. Other than that the quality of the slurricane is beyond ridiculous. It’s by far the stickiest strain to the touch in the tent. It’s probably winning for smell too. It’s straight gassy licorice pine. The pm susceptibility is a deal breaking drawback though. The cheese is looking good and smells great. It almost smells like rotten milk. Some of the nugs are really filling out into these nice long chunky little things. The pistils are turning a light orange/pink color too. Unfortunately it’s not maturing at the same rate and will make everything in the tent go for another 1.5-2 weeks. Garlics are looking better. The lanky pheno has filled out quite a bit more than expected and is super frosty with a great smell. It’s finally starting to purple up a bit. I think it will still be quite leafy around harvest but time will tell. Pheno 2 has better structure and density but lacks frost, smell and color. Not very impressed by it honestly. The zkittlez is looking great and getting super frosty. Especially around the crowns of the top colas. Lowers look like shit though. Despite being somewhat leafy, the main branches look quite dense. It’s probably the shortest and bushiest plant in the garden. It’s yellowing out quite a bit now and will probably finish with the blackberries and slurricane. The blackberries look amazing and smell even better. One of the phenos is a crazy producer and creates massive buds with musky berry terps. The other pheno is a beautiful purple strain that produces a crazy amount of frost and chunky golf ball nugs at the expense of large yield. It’s smell is very sweet and candy like and has been a very low feeding and maintenance plant. Slurricane #4 looks great aside from its infection. It definitely wins for resin content and smell but looks like a low yielder.

I can recommend White Widow from seedsman. This auto plants gets loads of stress from LST, HST, topping, lollipoping, scrog And what's the most important think they finish on time! Great plants, great yeld, great stuff couldn't be better 💪

420Fastbuds FBT2303 Week 9 Weekly update on these magnificent plants. Both appear to be swelling up nicely at the colas and lower flower sites. Starting to see some fade/yellowing in the leafs but should be expected at this stage of flower. I'll most likely stop feeding nutes this week and go with just pH water from then on. No complaints so all in all Happy Growing.

INSANE GROWTH OVER THE LAST 12 DAYS

Filling out the trellis net. Looks like another 2-3 weeks until I flip the ladies. Using SST’s, LABS and natural inputs for this grow. I have made some mistakes in the past using Organics, but have figured out HOW to use them for an entire grow. The vegetative state, I have never had a problem with. The transition into the first 3 weeks is when I have had the most issues. After a little research and testing, I finally have a basic blue print of how to feed plants in flower for 10-12 weeks now or shorter. Mark Bowell from Perfect Gardens on YouTube and Mr Canucks Grow from Canada are my largest information inputs. Final Thank you to Mr McGooz for keeping me in the know. 10-11: yes, some of the stalks are turning purple. This is not due to phosphorus, magnesium, or any deficiency. It is due to the light being too intense for the plants. I am at the max distance and running the light at 30% ( it’s a 600 watt 🤣🤣). Soooo yeah, that purple is going to stay for a bit. Purple with other leaf discoloration or senescence IS a problem, purple stems with NO leaf issues isn’t serious issue. Cant it be fixed? We are going to find out….Photosynthesis Plus will be on hand in the next 5-6 days. This permits the plant to USE more of the photons ( yes, I have carbon in my media). This should minimize the purple and allow me to UP THE WATTS 🗣️🗣️ 10-14: spoke to my “guide” and we made the decision to go ahead and flower these ladies. We saw how much stretch there is to be had and realized we are currently filling the trellis by 75%. We are estimating the entire 4x4 area to be completely filled. I defoliated and pruned the smaller sites off the lower areas of the plant. Not quite lollipopping, just selectivity choosing sites to keep and bones that will get in the way. For transition I am using a ratio of 1:1:1 on NPK’s to ease the flip. The ppm’s will be between 750-800. Once we reach early flower, we switch the NPK’s to 1:3:2 ( flower girl by Dr Earth OR Fish bone meal and langbenite). I switch each feeding between the two for 5-6 weeks. At week 7 we switch to 0:3:3 ( seabird guano and Langbeinite) at 500 ppm’s. Week 8 the same feed. Week 9 kelpseaweed/water Only ( these are 10 week cultivars). Thank you for taking the time to read. 10-16 😍😍😍 Plants are starting to show deficiencies!!! Yes, normally one freaks out 😂😂😂 The slight deficiency is a sign that I can go ahead and start: The Flowering Cycle. When using Organics, you have to use your eyes because nothing is specific. Meaning: you have to see when the amendments are running out to A: Top Dress B. Make compost teas. We are going the compost tea route for flower. I made a video showing exactly what I use. The ratio is 5-5-5 ( yes earlier we were going to use 2-2-2, but we found out there is no calcium or magnesium in the all purpose mix by Dr Earth…another reason to learn to read your plants).

Here we go, after 21 days of streching i make some defoliation and lolipoping, I break by the way one flower on the top what a mess of newbie 🙃 will not do it again. Thanks everyone

Monday’s Blue, it looks like she’s flowering but I am not sure but I will find out very soon with this coming week, the days are getting hotter and now an hour longer. I almost lost hope, the leaves were drying out, but with time knowledge is acquired and look at her now, she does show signs of going through trauma but now she healed ad growing like the rest.
