This week I performed a fairly heavy defoliation, which opened up the canopy and encouraged strong branching throughout the plant. The response has been excellent, with vigorous new growth and a very even canopy developing across all main tops thanks to the ongoing LST. The structure looks extremely promising, and it appears this will be the final week of vegetative growth before Frostbanger transitions fully into flower next week.

Still a bit warm but temps av dropped loads last few days in my area thankfully.. Took alot of central n lower grow sites away this wk n just trying to open her up a bit b4 she stretches.. Flipped lights to true 12/12 today and will b planning a 70day flowering program (already 14days thru!).. Emptied out res and flushed top tray with 10ltr plain ph'd water @5.8 and 21°c so not to shock her roots.. Week 5 and the deficiency is gone. The feeding schedule is 2 times a day. I used the scrog very close to train the plants. I will keep it low but not that low. I need to be able to get in and hand water my girls. Keep it Green

I have no fckin idea what is goin on with that one Alaskan purp.I'm thinkn it might be sumthin genetic.Wtf seedsman lol... O well we will see I guess. Everything lookn good and happy to see them stretchn....lil disappointed wit the size but I got a late start so what can ya do...still should b a nice harvest...

Fed once this week with a weak feed including top max. I use kombucha vinegar as pH down. Water from my tap is ph6.8-7.0 and 38-42ppm so I might start using calmag supliment as the ppm at my old house used to come out of the tap at ph7. 2 and 200-220ppm. I had 2 plants that didn't like the light at 30000 lux and started bleaching so I took them out. I've defoliated today day 35 as humidity was getting over 80% and also to let light to the lower bud sights. Pre flower pistils showed on some plants around day 33 (some still have none) so I'll consider this the end of veg start of flower. The kalimist indica pheno is still not showing pre flower pistils but is always hard to force flowering when it's not mature for some reason. It's always 7-14 days behind everything else 🤔

Day94: wedding glue is almost done, i noticed some new growth so I delayed the harvest a bit Gorilla Z got a bit of defoliation and needs more time to mature. Maybe 2 weeks Chop day! Wedding glue after 97 days went down. Super excited to see the final result

The weather has continued to be hot and now it is cooling at night. Lows have been 11 degrees. Plants were fine and getting bushy and a bit taller. The sizes are as follows; #4 the shortest is still the shortest at 49", next is #3 at 53" and the second tallest #2 is now the tallest and biggest at 69" and the biggest before #1 (which took the beatdown) is 67". All look good. #1 is starting to bud out and looks like it has been budding for over a week. Happy days! All smell strong and great. I can smell them from my car. Love it. The rest do not look like they are budding yet. I guess they may be shorty behind. Fed the one in bud bloom nutes and the others got veg nutes. I will be back in two weeks and may adjust at that time. The three plants all look nice and bushy with lots of branches. Hopefully good producers. The other will be limited. Hope weather holds up. Das Wetter war durchgehend wechselhaft, aber nicht zu kalt. Die letzten banana konnten ausreifen, ohne zu schimmeln. Dank dem stetigen Wind auf dem balkon -->success .Die sweet zz Auto eins bis vier wachsen problemlos trotz kleinerer schädlingsprobleme, die sich aber von selbst lösten. Fette Colas bilden sie, groß wie liter flaschen.. hoffe da kommt kein budmold, wenn die dichter werden zum Ende .. Die critical nimmt das Training an und nach 3 Tagen schlecht wetter und Anpassung legt sie munter weiter los. Die special queen wurde mit l s t in die Spur gebracht und macht ihr Ding, so wie sie soll. Läuft 👍 bis nächste Woche ✌️

I put up a 2nd scrog net and added another sun master making the total lighting 600w + 400w. This gave a temperature rise which made me also add a small air-conditioning unit. I only used this as an fan at this point.

This week I had to Lollipop again (I know is very late and I hope I didn’t stressed the plant to much). My canopy is so tick and so many overlapping leaves and buds in the center of the plant that don’t receive enough light or any at all , n combination with the RH swings that I got going on (45 and 63 RH), I’m very afraid of mold. I should have did a better job at Lollipoping from day 21. I’m inexperienced grower and I didn’t knew better. I decided is better to risk to shock the plant a little bit risking a reduction in yield then get mold or pests and lose it all. My 30 pin dehumidifier works great with the AC but sometimes when the AC( compressor) stops my RH jump at 62% -63%, witch I don’t like . I’m trying to keep the humidity around 50% but in such a small room between the AC and Dehumidifier I got big swings in temp ( 75-82) and RH ( 45%-63%) witch is not ideal but is nothing that I can do. I played with the AC and Dehumidifier setting a lot trying to keep humidity around 50% and temp around 80 degrees and that’s the best I can. My AC is set at 82 degrees and my Dehumidifier is set at 45% RH. Also during the lights off (day time) is very hard to keep the temperature In control when outside is 110-115 degrees with my portable AC (1400BTU) in the 4x 6 closet. Is crazy but I do my best to keep temp under control. This is another rocky mistake I made is trying growing weed DWC in the middle of summer where temps are 105-115 degrees constant in a closet without centralized AC port and at second level in the building. LOL Also I think I underfed her (630 PPM TDS, PH 5.8-5.9) ) and I got a Ca deficiency witch I think is the reason my flowers developed slower then I anticipated. Hopefully I’m wrong and everything will be good. P.S. I got a little bit of calcium deficiency caused by salt buildup (to much PK boost) despite my earlier belief that is underfed. I increased the PPM from week 4 (630-640TDS) to 680 TDS) on week 5 while I kept the PK booster at 3+ml l per gallon. Slightly my PPM’s was rising in my reservoir for few days until I decided that my plant can’t take that much nutrients (PK). 2-3 days after I increased the TDS I’ve noticed more spots on the lower leaves with tip burns on top ( first signs of PK toxicity). One day later found spots and yellowing of the leaves on top of the plant that indicates Ca deficiency caused by salt buildup ( PK toxicity) and reversed osmosis (hope I’m not wrong). Going into week 6 I lowered the PK boost at 1.5ml / gallon and total TDS to 640 PPM. Seems like leaves damage to stop and my PPM to stay stabile at 630-640. Trying to keep PH at 5.8 max 5.9. I will post pictures of my Ca deficiency/ PK toxicity. If you guys have any suggestions please leave me a comment.

Day 73. Girls are going great and mini shock is past , both look happier everyday, leaves stretch up and I am happy how it all went. They can breath a lot better now, but still will do light defoliation session at begining of next week. No feed for two weeks, transplantation should give them good boost, I put a lot of Worm Casting as extras ... Happy Growing !!!

This week the new growth of the plants transitioned from looking relatively healthy to droopy and yellowed. I wasn't sure what the issue was at first and thought it might be light stress. After more research, I determined that I had what looked very much like a zinc deficiency, which is almost always a symptom of over-watering, which is the most common mistake for new growers, i.e. "Me". I had assumed that adding a good amount of perlite to my soil and using smart pots would prevent me from running in to any drainage issues but I guess not. I was up to 1.5 liters per plant when I realized that it was too much. I also realized I was misreading my syringe which I use to mix nutrients, and that i had been giving only 1/10 of the liquid nutrients that I thought. I'm super embarrassed about the mistake but I'm going for full transparency here, so there it is. Course correction takes places after day 31.
