Week 02 Introduction This week has been a bit of a struggle. Had my first experience dealing with slime and brown algae. But I think adding enzymes and increasing the beneficial bacteria helped to fix the issue. Also experienced nutrient burn for the first time. My nutrient solution strength got as high as 671 PPMs. So backed it down to about 430 PPMs during the end-of-week reservoir change. Also cut Hydroguard (expired?), CaliMagic, and Superthrive from this grow. Now she's still stunted, but is starting to recover. Hopefully... [START OF WEEK 02] Day 01 - Monday - 08/10/20 - Total Days: 008 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Still looks a bit yellow. But still will monitor PH levels. - [1715]: Checked up on her after her nap and shes looking alive but stunted. But no slime! --- Decided to add some sugars to help maintain the enzymes and beneficial bacteria. --- Solution strength was at 587 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.2 --- Added 8ml of Bud Candy --- Solution strength went up to 671 PPMs. --- PH also went up to 6.3 --- Lowered water level a bit to hopefully promote more root growth. --- Top fed for a minute. --- She is getting bigger, but still looks yellow. Day 05 - Friday - 08/14/20 - Total Days: 012 ----------------------------------- - [0915]: Leaves look a little burnt on the tips. Still no slime. --- Going to back off on the PPMs to hopefully fix the nutrient toxicity. --- Solution strength was at 632 PPMs --- PH was at 6.3 --- Added/Removed water until PPMs were at 536. --- PH was still at 6.3 --- Raised water up a bit, then top fed for a minute. - [2200]: Looking better. Still yellow though. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 6.5 --- Added PH down. --- New solution strength: 518 PPMs --- New PH: 5.2 --- PH was kind of high. So decided to PH down. Had to use quite a bit to bring it down. But eventually got it to drop down to 5.3. A little low, but so far, the PH has always gone up so wanted to start it really low. --- Ran the top feed for a minute to re-saturate the top of the hydroton. Day 06 - Saturday - 08/15/20 - Total Days: 013 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: She looks stunted. leaves are still yellow. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 5.6 --- Top fed for a minute. --- Not sure what to do at this point. Going to do another reservoir change soon. Hoping she lives until then. - [2145]: Looking pretty much the same. --- A bit of slime has returned. Since I've been diluting the nutrient solution, the enzyme ratio has dropped. So I guess this is expected. --- Also noticed that slime build up was on the air-stones. Never really checked the stones so not sure how long that has been there. Looks brown too, which can't be good. --- Going to do an H202 sterilization of the system (minus the net pot) tomorrow so did not add anything. --- Lowered the water level to below the net pot. --- Then top fed for a minute. Day 07 - Sunday - 08/16/20 - Total Days: 014 ----------------------------------- - [0900]: STERILIZATION DAY! --- Decided to skip today's night cycle for a deep clean. --- I'm hoping that skipping a night cycle won't be too stressful. --- Temporarily moved her to a new bucket. --- Used about a half of gallon of straight distilled water to flush out the net pot. --- Drained the system and wiped up all the brown sludge. Also removed the air stones and cleaned up all the goo. --- Filled the system with 2 gallons of distilled water and at least 30ml of food grade hydrogen peroxide (35% strength). --- Yea its a lot, but since I'm not going to sterilize the system overnight, I went with a really high doseage. Basically I kept adding until I started to see little bubbles start to form. --- Then I ran the water pump. - [0915]: Boiled the air stones in tap water for about 10 min. Then reconnected them to the airlines. --- I let the air stones and hose soak in the sterilization solution for about 5 minutes so the peroxide can absorb into the stones. Then ran the air stone to help mix and agitate the solution. --- Occasionally, I'd repeat the process of turning the air pump off for a few minutes to let the stones soak. - [1000]: Covered the top two row of holes of the net pot with some aluminum tape. Hopefully this solves the light leaking in through the hydroton. - [1200]: Used an old toothbrush and scrubbed the pump clean. Then drained the system. --- Refilled with more distilled water and peroxide. Again added a lot. --- Ran system again to sterilize even more. - [1530]: Drained the system and refilled with distilled water to rinse. --- Ran the system for a few minutes, then drained and rinsed again. --- Did this a few more times over about an hour. - [1630]: Added 4 gallons of fresh distilled water. --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow A --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow B --- Added 12ml of B-52 --- Added 16ml of Voodoo Juice --- Added 16ml Sensizym --- Solution strength was at 430 PPMs --- PH was at 5.6 --- I was going to add Hydroguard, but I think the bottle is expired. Since 2017 or 2018!? I think Hydroguard is good for up to 2 years from the date on the bottle or 6 months after opening. So not going to use from now on. I wonder if this could have contributed to the slime build up. --- Also removed the CaliMagic and Superthrive too. Going to only use AN products to eliminate the chance of incompatible nutrients. --- Placed her back in the bucket and top fed for a minute. --- Here's hoping for the best. These girls are identical besides height. #8 is 23 inches #9 is 20.5 inches I could not be happier with there growth. I need 24 more inches before June 15 ( today is May 18 ). This could work. I do not have an exact location yet. But Im working on that, all the time. Too many variables in my mind. #1 - Sun pattern # 2 - alien light sources (neibors) # 3 - line of sight # 4 - don't want to kill the lawn (who cares) So it's getting down to the wire. I tell myself "Dont panic!!I You will figure it out". I need to smoke a bowl. Where is the Crinkle. Lol

Well, that was unnerving. I had to type this all out again because the app crashed. Number 1 Loaded with long white sticky hair. I've never seen anything like it. Smells like old fashioned acrid hydro weed, very faint though. This one will go 120 days by the looks of it and hopefully give a couple or 3 z's. Number 2 Near finished. Hairs are red. Sticky sticky honey trichomes and smells like moldy cheese. I flushed the cocoa last night with 3 gallons of pH water. I figure she should be ripe by the end of February. Small yield, but looks like DANK weed. Might get an Oz if I'm lucky. The Mutant. I don't know what to say about this beast. I had to drop her down off the stand she got so tall. She Begs, and I mean pleads for MORE NUTRIENTS. She is getting nearly doubled what I feed the others. I don't understand how this one doesn't catch on fire I add so many nutrients, but still almost looks deficient - kinda light green. She Loves the Pk Though. I put nearly 10 ml per gallon more than I feed the rest! She dries out her cocoa every night. This one looks like it will go 150+ days and be a substantial yield. I'm hoping for 4 maybe 5 ozs if I can get number 2 cleared out of the tent soon and then more pars for this fatso.

Week 10 - flush has been going for a few days now. Buds are looking snowy, the smell is gorgeous. Some of the leaves are showing a deep purple colour which is common in this strain. She's gonna look great when she's finished. Most of the leaves are showing nutes burn from me being over exuberant in the last Week with the nutes (should've stuck to the plan). After a bit of a chat with a fellow grower who has convinced me that my plant is not ready yet I've decided to keep feeding her for another week or so just hope I haven't ruined her by not feeding for a week. Day 69 and pulled her out of the tent for a bit of a tidy up and she looks amazing. She looks far better in her full glory than his in a tent. I'm very pleased with my first grow, made a few mistakes along the way, but she's looking better than I would of imagined.

Hey Cannafam hope you are well 💚, Its been another mixed week for my purple gal but lets start with the positive. This Lady is absolutely beautiful, i cant stop staring at alluring purpleness and im completely obsessed 💜 Bud developement has continued further this week and shes actually gained height by an inch from growth of her top cola. Secondry branches have continued to fill out and the smell has increased again, she now has what can only be described as roudy honk of forest fruits. I love the smell but she is not subtle and can be detected by nose at least 20 metres away! On the weather and the other side, we have had mainly dry weather with one day of rain on Monday. Yesterday i checked her and a bud site on the opposite side and down a tier had budrot which was removed, she was then inspected closely again and i found another lower down and again removed 😑 Her Trichs are now mainly cloudy and although i feel she needs a bit longer, ive started to flush today, this gals coming down soon as or i will lose more of this beauty. 26.12.24: I have noticed light stress on my plants. I had moved the lights further away and increased the light intensity to 70%. Unfortunately that created some issues. Namely severe palour of the leaves. To try and rectify the situation, I've dimmed the lights to about 30%, staying at the same distance, about 30 inches away. I measured the par levels, after I did this. They should a reading of anywhere between 40 and 150, at the canopy of the plants. They are all different sizes. This seems to have improved the colouring on all plants. After this evenings watering, I will monitor recovery and increase lighting intensity again slowly. I am also using the light cycle of 21/3, so the plants have many hours more light to absorb, than for example 12/12 or 18/6. I am pleased with the progress, considering all of my mistakes! 29.12.24: So I finally gave LST a shot, it's probably a bit too late, however I really want to get the most of the triploid pheno, and I went a little crazy and LST'd all plants except 2, as they're too small. I did that late last night, this afternoon I was amazed to see the plants turn their leaves back to the light source. I'm glad I overcame my fear of trying it. I'm very excited to see them adapt and progress! 😁 there are videos above with before and after of my LST process. Thanks for checking out my diary 🍃 ✌️

Very impressed more bud sites starting to show, started adding some root juice into the feed also put some ground coffee into the soil which has made a noticeable difference(read it on internet) still had no issues with this plant yet EXCELLENT genetics hopefully it keeps up this progress. By the end of this week my runoff ph after watering was at 5.2 so did a flush and got it back up to 6.3 as a few leaves were showing early signs of nutrient deficiency. Ordered some AN ph perfect 3 part feed to keep it at the ph I need hopefully. We’ll soon see next week glad I noticed!

Day 65: All good they are stinky and getting ready soon. BlackBerry Kush and LSD-25 will be harvested in 2 weeks so I started flushing them. Rest of them need more time at least 3 weeks or 4. Water intake 200 ml a day no more fertilization for Balckberry Kush and LSD-25. 600W LED, 18 hours on 6 hours off humidity is low approx 35 percent.

This girl about tripled in size if not more, One of them is kinda wonky, leaves are all weird growing half leaves here and there an the top of all branches are basically twisting them selfs in weird ways, But all others are doing fantastic. Going to keep the weird one jus to see how an unstable seed will grow, Some people say it’s worthless others say sometimes they grow fire bud. We shall see

The buds are still bulking a little more as of day 64. The trichomes are pretty milky/frosty so the harvest is getting close, but I am not going to rush it if the plant is healthy and the buds are not suffering. My best estimate right now would be between day 68 and 78 for harvest. Day 67: areas of amber colored trichomes are appearing on the calyxes, under 10 percent of total. this is what I have been watching for to indicate harvest time so I will be giving water from here out and begin cutting down the plant in a few days. Week 2 of flower 12-5 She is growing nicely. She got a good dose of microbes yesterday. 2k ml she got cal/mag 5ml per gal, Drops 1ml, dusting of yucca, Kelp 1/16th tsp, EM 1 1 ounce per gallon and 1/2 tsp recharge. Top dress is soon. She will only get water x2 waterings. 12-7 2.5 liters plain water ph 6.2 removed any leaf pointing inwards. Fully watered love it. Doing great. Hope not to touch a leaf for a week. Fat chance, but heres for hoping 🤞 12-10 Removed some leafs 12-11 Looks like water tomorrow.

She seems to be overfed, showing yellowing here and there. I might have messed up the Ph because I did not adjust fhe ph of nutrients mix. I assumed it was ph corrected. Now, I am adjusting the Ph and reducing feeding. Let’s hope that she recovers next week.
