Week 5 of flower! Did some defoliation and some more supercropping to bring the height down, as I measured 70k lux at the canopy (a little too much). Buds are stacking nicely now, it's on cruise control from here on out. Just gonna let the plant do its thing.

Skunk apple runtz a random cross made by me. It's starting to root well. I can see it's roots coming out the bottom the pot already and there thick roots. The leaves on this plant have took a little stress the past week from the rh being off. It seems to like being topped it's pushing out new growth quite strong. This past week all the plants did great dealing with getting repotted and topped in the same week. I definitely took a Rick doing that seeing i only left each plant with 4 leaves. This past week was also a struggle to keep the vpd in a decent range. The Temps outside have been below 32 for a few days with Temps dipping down to almost 0 at night. With the space heater running it's pulling the humidity down. I think I have figured out the solution to that problem so I won't run into that next time it gets cold again. All the plants have really started to grow their new branches sense being topped. A few of the plants are a little smaller than I'd like but I'm gonna keep em alive for now.

Day 51 - Deficiencies have gotten a bit out of hand the previous few days. Looking at the leaves I was thinking maybe calcium and magnesium deficiency, but it doesn't really make sense to me because I had: 1. Given a decent feeding with the Aptus cal-mag solution. 2. Calcium was already in the soil (pre-fertilized) 3. There is more often too much calcium in soil than too little. 4. There is a not insignificant amount of calcium in the water I use (causes limescale in a lot of things) So my guess is instead of calcium deficiency, I'm seeing next to some magnesium deficiency, a deficiency of phosphorus. So a couple of days ago I gave the plant FloraBloom which has both phosphorus and magnesium but no nitrogen or calcium. Today (two days later), the leaves are now feeling a lot less dry / crunchy, which was a supposed symptom of phosphorus deficiency. I expect to need to wait about two more weeks before harvesting. Maybe around 10 days. The trichomes are still fairly glassy although there's some cloudiness. Pistils are still mainly white though, so I'm expecting some fattening to happen. I don't really like feeding the plants at this point (short before harvest), but the deficiencies were severe enough to me that I'll keep giving FloraBloom this week. Next week I might stop depending on where the trichomes are at. Smell is excellent, I definitely now understand where the 'mandarin' name comes from. Very similar to a mandarin smell now. Other than the phosphorus / magnesium issue, the plants seems to be doing well.

We've made it to day 28! - 17/12/20 The girls seem to be happy and healthy today. I won't be feeding/watering them as the pots are still heavy from yesterdays feed. A few of the girls have started to show sex & the smell has picked up a little bit(inside the tent), so I'm hoping to see some flowering begin this week sometime. (I've been using my iPhone as my only DSLR lens is useless for focusing on certain depths, but I hate the colour I get using the iPhone... I may be switching back to DSLR unless I can find a better camera app.) update - day 29 (18/12/20) Short update today. Fed the girls today and will probably be feeding/watering every day from here on out, we'll see though. veg growth has really taken off by now, I'm hoping to see some flowering this week. update - day 30 (19/12/20) I fed the girls today. I need to find a better way to hand water, the plants are so short and bushy its a pain getting in between all the branches. I wish i left my drip feed system up and running, I will definitely refine it and use it next run. Update - day 31 (20/12/20) Fed the girl's straight water today. I'm going to purchase the pieces I need tomorrow to reconfigure my drip feed system & hopefully have it running by mid-week! Update - day 32 I attempted to set up my drip feed system today but the plants are too thick around the base to place the halo around :( I will have to wait until next season to set it up, oh well, I guess its hand watering for the next 5-10 weeks Fingers crossed these girls start to flower ASAP. I fed the girls today, everything is looking good so far. I also moved the plants around to try to make hand watering easier, I had issues trying to water the whole pot instead of just one spot due to plants/branches being in the way. Update - Day 34 - 23/12/20 It definitely seems ill be watering the girls every day from here on out. All the girls look fairly happy and healthy, they're getting a bit big for the 5x5 they're in. Smell of the plant is amazing. Smells like red Berries. Buds got huge and medium dense. I only harvested the 3 main buds as they are developed the most. The rest of the plant can stay for one more week. I Also removed some dead leaves.

It’s getting easier every week to identify which phenos stay compact and bushy and which ones want to reach for the sky. 📈 Current observations: Pheno #3 and #4 have stretched aggressively and are now above 70 cm Pheno #5 took the lead and is currently sitting at around 101 cm 👀🔥 Pheno #1 and #6 are still in early flower / preflower and developing noticeably slower Plant architecture is becoming very clear now — some phenos are growing dense and bushy while others are showing strong vertical growth At this stage I already have clear favorites: ⭐ Pheno #4 and #5 are currently standing out the most for me in terms of structure, vigor, and overall development. So the Northern Lights free seed from RQS ended up out living all 3 of the Dosidos’ “USA Premium” seeds that all died within the first week of sprouting, hopefully an explanation will be found for this as I have not been able to come to any conclusion as to what happened. Got the trellis set for 20” another week of veg then flower time... still un sure which are male or female but pretty sure there all female by the looks of how there growing almost identical and how bushy etc they are ... pulled the seeds outta some purple Bubba Kush from the local dispensary.... I usually would be mad about seeds but hey I got about 25 perfect seeds for 20 bucks... PH levels are perfect with this natural spring water my town is running off of... temperatures are only dropping 2-4 Celsius at night.. and holding a steady 24 Celsius lights on... humidity is up when just after I water then it goes down to around 50 RH... in the last week they only grew vertical about half a inch but damm the new growth is killing it and catching up... still no cropping just LST and cut a few lower fan leaves to get some light downstairs... one of the fan leaves was 14” inches across........ nice fatty Indica leaves... couple more weeks Till flower time
